except, a point in Obama's favor is, he actually bothered to vote on principle anyway. Both candidates promised to back dodd's amendment, and only one did.

"quote from a cheesy action movie"
Next.
I made no inflamatory remarks toward youoriginally. Merely to pointing out how "indifference of good men" is a crooked statement.
How thoughtful of you,John, to respond to my original post which was in reation to your example of Hillary and Fisa, with defensive, condesending crap.

what was really needed was for both of them to bring the debate into the national spotlight by publicly decrying it. Something neither of them did.

how is it a fallacy? me thinks you don't know logic very well. Its an opinion not an argument, ergo no fallacy possible.

By the way, this: "Comprehend this, you pea brain," is nonsensical. You have no "this."
a "this" is required for the sentence to mean anything. For example: : "By the way, this: 'Comprehend this, you pea brain.'"

Furthermore, you aren't talking about a point I raised. I was talking about HRC being indifferent to FISA, you changed the subject with a non sequitur about Obama in Chicago.

Just to clarify the issue a bit, the background checks on the green card applicants will be done, but many green card applicants have experienced delays of several years while waiting for the FBI to complete these clearances, and many are going into Federal Court on Applications for a Writ of Mandamus to get the Court to order the FBI to complete the checks and/or USCIS to make a decision in their case. If the background checks determine that the permanent residency should not have been granted, the permanent residency will be revoked. Many of these delays are the result of faulty and erroneous federal data bases, and some may be caused by the permanent residency applicant having a similar name, birthdate, and/or place of residence or birth as some genuine bad guy, so more in-depth searches and checks are ordered, adding to the delays. People are paying $1010 in filing fees alone for permanent residency applications, so they do have a right to expect some level of efficiency in these adjudications. The USCIS sees this "post-audit" procedures as the price they must pay to keep from having their resources wasted in Federal Court battles, as they have not been able to urge Congress to adequately fund and staff the background checking apparatus run by the FBI.

Since 18 Democrats crossed over to the dark side for this vote, Hillary couldn't have turned the tide on this vote, and the numbers were known to the Senate leadership before the vote was taken. Unfortunately, we must now rely on the House to hold the line. Anger should be directed to the lying bastards who promoted this blind and retroactive amnesty, and to Harry Reid, who wasn't steamrolled, but actually was more than happy to do the dirty work for the Republicans. The timing of the vote was meant to take place during the maximum distraction of the D.C area primaries. Barack was there in D.C. because he knew he had those caucuses in the bag and needed to be available for his victory lap. It certainly would have been nice if Hillary had been there as well, but what was needed more than the presence of Barack and Hillary, was 18 more honest to goodness progressive Democrats, or at least some Chicago style voting to make up for their absence.

I am a Hillary supporter. I am upset at Hillary for skipping this vote. The destruction of our COnstitution has been all I think about anymore.

I refused to campaign for my congressman in 2006, because he voted in favor of the Military COmmissions Act, even though he voted for many issues that are good for Colorado.

The Constitution matters. Hillary talks about this Administration's illegal acts. She has an obligation to show up and vote. Obama has been wishy-washy on this, too. I have been aching to see either of these so-called leaders give a speech on restoring the Constitution. Or even make a promise. If they are to be our leaders, they need to start now!
