Bamboozlin’ Obama Lampooned Big Time on SNL (Videos) [UPDATED x2]

UPDATE x2: YouTube is down. All of it. We trust that it is temporary. (It’s back up again.)

UPDATE: My buddy Don posted the SNL videos at DailyObama daring, gasp, to title his diary, “ Bitch is the New Black.” Look at the bile (or pathetic PC-ness) those ‘droids spew:

– “Nice to see you admit she’s a bitch.” - Damn Yankees
– “Do you demean strong, hardworking women by labeling them bitches? Sounds to me like you have accepted the wrong frame.” - TeacherKen
– “Luckily For the Rest of Us — Your “bitch” won’t be in a position to lose the male vote by 30% to the John McCain and the independent vote by a similar margin. In other words, the rest of us actually have a chance of electing a Democrat president (and one, unlike the “bitch’s” model husband, one that can actually get 50% of the vote in a general election).” - pletzs
– And check out this string of comments with advice to Hillary on how to be more “humble”

ORIGINAL: Via Uncle Wiggly’s great diary at MyDD — “TINA FEY & SNL LUV HILLARY! BITCH IS THE NEW BLACK ! (W/ VIDS)” — he adds commentary to these videos (there are three!):

(I LOVE THIS ONE! Yeah, I’m a bitch too!)

MORE BELOW THE FOLD!

===========

Then there’s my all-time favorite from my piece, “There Will Be Bamboozling” and from my heartfelt confession to Hillary supporters about getting the Obama message BIG TIME, “The Choice (But I’ve Been Touched).”

Oh, crap. I was dealing with a hard disk crash (he who laughs last does regular backups) and forgot to schedule the TiVo. Thanks for the clips.

I was so surprised and delighted at this skit, the opening one at that! Atleast the writers and comedians of this country have been paying attention.
The best line was Tina Fey’s at the end: “bitch is the new black” they should make t-shirts!

Comment by Simon | 2008-02-24 15:24:56

“bitch is the new black”

I can get behind that bumper sticker.

And here I was going to settle for Hillary ‘08.

I also loved the line “bitches get things done. It was wickedly funny.

Comment by SusanUnPC | 2008-02-24 14:35:42

I totally dug it.

Btw, Marge, do you watch “30 Rock”? It is my favorite TV comedy, by far. And Fey always gets in some very clever political humor…. and Alec Baldwin is utterly brilliant as a comedian / she also gives him some great lines. There are no sacred cows on that show.

(I also got a big kick out of Fey’s send-up of the writers’ strike in her opening monologue (video above) / that was hard to take for me since I need a couple dramatic and comedy shows each week to give me a break from it all. Besides being frustrated about no new “30 Rocks,” I was sad to not see more new episodes of “Life,” a very clever, well-acted police drama on NBC. Then I got worried about the 2nd seasons of the great summer dramas, “Mad Men” and “Damages.” Hopefully, they’re back operating at full steam.)

Comment by Simon | 2008-02-24 15:36:43

Based on the daily O comments, not much of a sense of humour, there, now is there?

What a surprise…

Comment by kenoshaMarge | 2008-02-24 15:47:30

Susan, Never watched 30Rock but will do so now. Always glad to have a head’s up on something new on the tube.

I must admit that I SO identified with the bit about the Nuns. I was an army brat and went to a lot of different schools and always a Catholic School if there was one available. I still see plaid, pleated skirts in my nightmares.

In every school there was one Nun that we usually nicknamed Attila the Nun. These fierce Sisters scared the crap out of us and an education into us. Yes people, we did know the capital of Vermont and the capital of every other state if we wanted to keep Attila the Nun off our back.

Last season’s had some great episodes / others not so great but you can get it on DVD.

This season’s very best was the spoof on going green / and NBC’s weeklong campaign to “go green.” Hilarious. Even Al Gore did a cameo, and he did it great!

Aha — I just recalled that I linked to that episode when it aired. You can, or should be able to, watch it online at NBC:

Feel down? That’ll turn you around in no time!

What’s the over/under on the number of death threats and hate mail NBC is dealing with today? Because you know how much the Obamatrons love free speech and are capable of dealing with criticism.

Comment by SusanUnPC | 2008-02-24 14:37:39

OMG. That’s a great question.

then there’s American Express. How DARE they run that (brilliant) ad featuring Tina Fey? Bet they’re getting barraged too.

God knows, free speech and satire are just NOT okay when it’s directed at one’s Chia pet.

Comment by grtphoto | 2008-02-24 15:49:32

I went to the SNL blog just to read the responses and there are more negative than supportive, with, no surprise, a few name calling rants included! Unbelievable that people cannot even view a comedy/parody show without getting so angry. Some entries were so ignorant as to blame Fey for “politicing” in such an overt manner???? What?

Don’t tell me the humorless and brittle Obamamafia hacked it

Did the Clintonmafia tell them too?

Obamabots are not the brightest, you know…

Comment by TeakWoodKite | 2008-02-24 16:28:22

Obamabots are not the brightest

Arriving at a decision on who to support for President is not based on one’s self interest but rather one’s self image, as any impartial obsever from the planet Zenon would tell you.

They might also tell you is never to underestimate your opponents. I have seen anecdotal eveidence of google bombing in flash polls conducted when the question is Hillary or Obama.

Comment by Simon | 2008-02-24 16:54:48

I have seen anecdotal eveidence of google bombing in flash polls conducted when the question is Hillary or Obama.

Long term, they cannot survive, any system based on violence, corruption, and denial will collapse. And it doesn’t matter how many law classes one takes, if they’re infantile narcissists, they’ll never learn, always be a slave.

I cannot name one political system that hasn’t had to convert to peacetime equality, long term democracy, or else face destruction.

(Say, where China is now, as opposed to the USSR, and Chinese success is still a long shot, if Thomas Jefferson Qiang doesn’t come along).

And to think somehow a simplistic googlebomb is indicative of intellectual superiority is the sign of the shithead.(not you teak –btw, have you watched Torchwood (BBC America)? I keep wanting to call you torchwood, your name, teakwoodkite, sounds like torch, torchwoodkite, which goes to tiki torch, and then Hawaii, but forget it, I just make these associations, and then try to connect the dots, what do these random symbols have in common? Sorry).

Our armed forces, god bless them, are the best equipped, anywhere.

But they cant take Iraq, with the gun alone.

Why?

Poor strategy? How are they being played? Are they being drained, is someone manipulating their moves? Fear of the gun does not work. What’s going on here?

And do you really believe that shit about the government NOT being prepared to take on an Obama hacker, any hacker?

Government people are just not stupid, you know?

Maybe it’s more of “let’s see what you got, let’s manipulate you, make you feel powerful, and then, boom, hit you.”

Like Mao, but for smart people…

I think the Obamabots do project, they simply seek out someone they can feel superior to, and assume that’s the level of intellect they’re fighting, everywhere, a hasty generalization. Next thing you know, they think they’re the brightest things going, and that’s just not true. You see what you want to see, or even more frightening, what others want you to see, never questioning.

As a kid, even as a 70 year old kid, say, you always assume you’re doing something your parents never thought of, and that’s just not true, either.

The devil’s greatest trick was making people think he didn’t exist.

Comment by Simon | 2008-02-24 17:09:56

I guess another point I was trying to make was people voted for Bush, and Obama’s camp is using the same techniques against the public, to cheat.

And if the culture fails, cannot discern what is real, or chooses not to see what is real, if the culture doesn’t cooperate and strive for what is best, despite manipulation, the culture will fail.

So, you know, why does the NYT write this garbage about Clinton, in favor of Obama? Because the same strategy worked so well for the US in electing Bush?

Obviously not.

Why aren’t they striving for something better?

It’s all subjective, no one can tell you how to think, and expect it to succeed, long term.

Our method of democracy works, our Constitution, the respect for civil rights, is the best. Truth, and cooperation.

What kind of moron would even want to cheat, that’s not challenging, it’s denial, and an individual in denial is a security risk.

It may take a 100 years, but if people don’t get it, they’re fucked, and that’s that.

One way or the other, everyone just has to be queen for a day…

Comment by TeakWoodKite | 2008-02-24 19:01:44

simplistic googlebomb

Asymetrical warfare is occuring as we speak. It is being waged AGAINST the Constitution by any number of loosely affiliated entities.
While there maybe no apparent correlations among these objects, there are parasitic qualities of human nature, that are being intentionally exploited, that act as a “force multiplyer”. The adversaries ;Hiding in plain site, are fear and greed. Both a manifestation of an instinctual behavior of “self presevation”, and given impetus by being manipulated and portrayed as a threat.

The United States will by design, change to accomodate the “collective self interest” of her people. This is where the point of attack is occuring, where this nation is weakest and under siege.

The alliance of power arrayed against the Constitution is staggering in it’s depth and scope.
How are the voices of the future to be heard when the voices presently, sound like the voices hanging around the 3 card monty tables on 5th Avenue?

The response to this must be waged on all spectrums and one google bomb can ruin your day.

The relativity of simultaneity is the concept that simultaneity is not absolute, but dependent on the observer. That is, according to the special theory of relativity formulated by Albert Einstein in 1905, it is impossible to say in an absolute sense whether two events occur at the same time if those events are separated in space.

Arriving at a decision on who to support for President is not based on one’s self interest but rather one’s self image

For those with lower functioning intellects, maybe, for others, it is a matter of values, which, of course, does play to self image, too, but also more abstract thought.

WHY are these people supporting someone so corrupt?

Are all Obamabots corrupt, too, or is he the candidate of the infantile narcissist, like Bush was? Or they’re just projecting onto him, Obama being what they WISH he was, truly another RFK, and that’s not true.

But I guess if they’re willing to cheat, they are like Obama.

I like Clinton, and prior to her, Edwards.

And I DID try to like Obama, but the more I found out, the more I was disgusted.

YouTube is back for now. I figure they’re shutting it down because of all the Pro-Hillary vids today.

Thanks for the links Susan

Last night’s SNL was the best in years.

The faux debate was the best one since “strategery.” The “Annuale” skit was so funny I thought I would bust a gut (and I did bust a few something else) and Weekend Update was classic.

Of course the Obamababies don’t agree, but political humor isn’t for the young, they take themselves and their candidates too seriously.

Just for the record…

…the BBC is now reporting that YouTube was taken down for about an hour when Pakistani authorities—you’ll remember: our primary partner in the GWoT™—deemed that one or more items on YouTube was offensive, and should not be viewed by their easily offended populace. Some have indicated it was the “…Danish cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad that have outraged many,” others claim that “…a trailer for a forthcoming film by Dutch lawmaker Geert Wilders, which portrays Islam in a negative light, was behind the ban.”

Lovely. Freedom is on the march.

GWoT: even the sound of the Global War on Terror is ugly.

Everyone, quickly, go to the Op-Ed in the NYTimes and after reading Ms. Ferraro’s piece (about Superdelegates & FL and MI) enter a comment. There are over 300 angry and insulting comments to her for her positions from Obama supporters.
Don’t let the comments there be one-sided and so horrible against
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/25/opinion/25ferraro.html?hp
Hurry before they close the comments.

I was undecided but leaning Obama until very recently. Went to an Obama rally and it was exciting but the Obamabots scared me. People were fainting, crying holding there hands up as they praised Obama. Very “tent revival”.Then Tina Fey confirmed my suspcions of a media bias. After months of looking for substance I decided to leave the messaiah with the borrowed lines. I donated to Hillary yesterday.
