regarding emails from Kennedy and Kerry, I know for a fact Kerry turned over his list of donors to the Obama camp...and on the day that Kerry actually endorsed Obama...he emiled me for a donation...

Needless to say, I am and always have been in Hillary's camp and because I live in Kerry's district, you can imagine how furious I was that he had come out and endorsed so early..I did tell Kerry and then Kennedy to take my name of their list and never to contact me again...haven't heard since..bottom line, I will campaign for Kerry's opponent when he goes for re-election in 2008...

This is silly. Obama is not a traitor, and his response to Cooper did not seem to me like he was playing semantic games. There is much to criticize Senator Obama for without resorting to name-calling and unwarranted attacks on his patriotism. This is the sort of behavior that is usually directed at Hillary by those suffering from CDS -- it is repulsive when she is attacked in this way, and it is equally wrong when it is directed at Obama. There is no reason to stoop to that level, it doesn't help the argument in any way and we can't very well criticize the Obamabots for this sort of behavior if we engage in it just as easily.

Yeap, that's a well known tactic in politics..
That's why I wrote in a previous post it is no coincidence Obama dumped the three biggies in the last 24hrs: earmarks, Wright and Rezko.

The media is doing everythging they can to help him survive this through the weekend. Then, he'll say

"ah this is old news, I answered all that" and
dismiss all the legitimate questions he has not answered and are so so troubling.

Typical politician.

Thanks Susan, I missed the post where you already bring this up.
But given Obama's anti-american speech (subtle/not so subtle) it is clear that this is the reason it resonates so well with the europeans left
(that overwhelmingly support him).

A short post on this again would be good (as it ties with Wright, Obama and the "anti-US" hate-speech.

Thanks!

There a few other churches as well, I call reading the Suntimes/rezko about it.

Though Obama did represent a church, he also represented the nonprofit Woodlawn Preservation & Investment Corp., founded by Bishop Arthur Brazier of the Apostolic Church of God. In an interview, Brazier said his role as a Woodlawn director was separate from his work at the church.

Woodlawn was partners with Rezko in four low-income housing projects with hundreds of units. In at least one instance, in 1994, Obama represented Woodlawn on a troubled project it later shared with Rezko. The city of Chicago sued, alleging Woodlawn failed to provide tenants with heat in the winter, and Obama represented the landlord in court

This is precisely why the european left loves Obama.
His subtle and not so sublt anti-american message resonates with them.

Follow-up to my previous comment:

So where was Senator Obama on Jan. 13?

From a search of the Internet, here is Obama’s schedule from Friday Jan. 11 to Sunday Jan. 13 (when Mr. Wright gave his sermon):

Jan. 11:

Obama visited Las Vegas, making stops at the Culinary Workers Union and Del Sol High School for a town hall meeting.

4:30 p.m., Speech and Town hall in Fallon, NV.
5 p.m., Meeting in Elko, NV.

Jan. 12:

Obama spends the day in Chicago with his family. I could not find any scheduled campaign events. (Sen. Bill Nelson of NB endorses Obama via conference phone).

Obama did arrive in Chicago’s Midway airfield at 2:30 am. His plane’s wing clipped the wing of another plane after Obama flew back from campaigning in Nevada. Here is the local report of this incident:

http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=news/local&id=5887078

Jan 13:

I could not find any campaign events for Sunday morning; he obviously flew back to Nevada at some point, but it is not clear when.

Early evening: Campaigning in Los Vegas (6:30 pm Pacific)

Evening: Speech at Rosemary Clark School in Pahrump Nevada

Bottom line: Obama was in Chicago to spend time with family (according to his spokesperson) on Saturday. It is not clear when he left Chicago. However, the time line leaves open the possibility that he was in attendance at the Jan 13. sermon of Mr. Wright.

There is a simple way to clarify this confusion: Instead of having me search piecemeal through the Internet, Sen. Obama should release his schedule for this period.

I don't understand this line of reasoning at all. The vast majority of the American people understand that you have to negotiate from a position of strength to get what you want. If the possibility of force is removed from the discussion then exactly what are you going to negotiate with? The fact that the Bush administration cynically doctored the intelligence shouldn't be held against Hillary. The relevant question is what Hillary would have done if she'd have been Commander in Chief instead of a senator from the state who was actually attacked by terrorists. Do you think she would have invaded Iraq and removed Saddam, who desperately needed to be removed? And if you believe she would have done that would she have screwed it up by doing some very stupid things such as dissolve the Iraqi military, give Bremer and other incompetents carte blanche, no bid contracts, have way to small of an invading army and occupying force, not get the other Muslim nations involved in rebuilding Iraq and keeping the peace? To blame Hillary for Bush's actions is the height of ignorance and a total red herring. I think it is a dispicable way of equating Hillary with the last 7 years of hell caused by Bush. You folks may be clever with your insidious politics but you aren't clever enough to fool this country boy.
