I wore my Hillary t-shirt when I went to vote a few months ago and they almost turned me away.

The only reason they allowed me in to vote was because no one else was there at the same time I was there.

Maybe I should order me a “Typical White Person” t-shirt and wear it when I vote in the general election. :-)

Did Granny get hers?

Comment by SusanUnPC | 2008-03-23 00:19:13

Oh gawd. That’s bad. Poor lady. Have you read her bio?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madelyn_Dunham

Now this is sad:

On March 14, 2008, CBS News published a curt phone call with her:
I am not giving any interviews…I am in poor health.

– i wonder if Obama does anything for her with all his money. The bio says she lives in “what CBS News has described as the same “non-descript highrise” in Honolulu, Hawaii where she raised Barack Obama.”

– I wonder how often he calls or visits her. She sacrificed SO MUCH for him and his very expensive education.

Comment by SusanUnPC | 2008-03-23 00:20:39

She has the same phone number, CBS reports, that she had when he was growing up. Poor woman. I bet it’s been ringing off the hook. You’d think he’d get her a private number. And how about some security???

Does she have help since she is in poor health? Has he offered to pay for her to have help?

It’s the same utterly revolting santimonious pious tone that BO uses in his autobiography that is based on fictional and composite events and uses both fictional and composite characters.

And the quotes above are from BO’s crappy book. But please just flip through it at the store. Do not buy it - you will regret it.

Comment by norrismorris | 2008-03-23 16:48:24

The book is factually incorrect on MANY counts and certainly a neat invention. a mixture of carefully included and excluded data, and some made up stuff very artfully written.

quite a calculated attempt to use his skills to artfully bio his lies/truths, and victimhood.

the book is actually full of anger. and turned me off a long time ago.

Watch here:

(The first segment, on the economy, was quite interesting.)

Comment by kenoshaMarge | 2008-03-23 15:04:29

Sorry Susan,

Meacham maybe. But Peggy Noonan and Eugene Robinson? Not gonna watch that.

Noonan makes me nauseous under the best of circumstances and Eugene Robinson is in my top 3 of those who have disappointed me the most. He’s an Obama shill and has lost all credibility IMHO.

Noonan, oh my God those soft sanctimonious tones are enough to gag a maggot. When you get past the voice, you often realize that whatever the hell she said made no sense whatsoever or else was a completel distortion. yuck!

Comment by SusanUnPC | 2008-03-23 15:13:48

Does she have any clue at all how she comes across? It is clearly an “air” she puts on…. so it surely must be possible for her to turn it off. Why on earth does she think anyone can bear to listen to her when she has on her “air”?

My stars. Mr. Meacham is actually being somber. He says people realize now that Barack Obama cannot walk across Lake Michigan without sinking. (Pretty good line.)

Eugene Robinson is hopeless…. his skin, not his soul (such as it is) is speaking for him these days. (That perhaps is an unkind thing to say, but it is so.)

One of the lies Obama tells is that Superdelegates should “vote with their constituencies”. Richardson, by that logic, should have endorsed Hillary: the same with Kerry, Patrick, and Kennedy of Massachusetts, since Hillary won New Mexico and Massachusetts.

We at HillBuzz wondered what the Superdelegate breakdown would be like if ALL supers voted for the candidate who won their state.

Result: Hillary wins the supers 346-309, based on states that have voted so far.

For the complete results, check this out state by state, with projections for upcoming contests:

McCaskill’s hubby, David Exposito, was caught on camera smoking dope at a riverboat casino - while she was the Prosecutor when McCaskill was in her 40’s!

David Exposito was later murdered in what law enforcement believes was a drug deal gone bad.

Have her take a polygraph. And do bet the farm on her lying.

She was promised the AG spot and has screwed the Clintons and the American public in her power grab.

McCaskill is tainted goods, but Kansas City like Chicago is just another corrupt place that an honest U.S. Attorney was trying to make a little bit better.

McCaskill hates Clinton for it. McCaskill and Obama deserve each other.

But the U.S. deserves better.

(Following rec’d in an e mail w/o link)
John Brennan had a long career with the CIA, even serving as chief of staff to the director of the Central Intelligence Agency – then George Tenet — and later as deputy executive director of the CIA.
And if Brennan has a loyalty, it is to his former boss and Clinton appointee George Tenet, who served as head of the CIA from 1997 to mid-2004 — under both Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.
A Salon article confirms Brennan’s devotion to the former CIA director in a story it ran after Tenet’s “tell-all” book, “At the Center of the Storm,” hit the shelves in the spring of 2007:
Tenet’s ties with contractors were underscored last week in a dispute between two groups of former CIA officials over Tenet’s legacy. On April 28, six former intelligence officers wrote to Tenet, saying he shared culpability with President Bush and Vice President Cheney for “the debacle in Iraq,” and suggesting he donate half the royalties from his book to Iraq war veterans and their families. All of the signatories had severed their ties to U.S. intelligence, although three of them, Phil Giraldi, Larry Johnson and Vince Cannistraro, work as consultants for news organizations, corporations and government agencies outside of intelligence.
A few days later, six recently retired officers responded. They called the first letter a “bitter, inaccurate and misleading attack” on Tenet and pointed out that it was drafted by officers who “had not served in the Agency for years.” Tenet, his supporters said, “literally led the nation’s counterterrorism fight.” And three of its six signatories were directly involved in that fight — as contractors. They included John Brennan of the Analysis Corp.; Cofer Black, Tenet’s former counterterrorism director and vice chairman of Blackwater, the private military contractor; and Robert Richer, the former deputy director of the CIA’s clandestine services. Richer recently left Blackwater to become the CEO of Total Intelligence, a new company formed with Black and other ex-CIA officials to provide intelligence services to corporations and government agencies. [Emphasis added.]
(Brennan also appeared on the Charlie Rose show defending his former boss, Tenet, against criticism after his book was published. .)
And even while an Obama “advisor,” Brennan has spoken out publicly in direct opposition to positions and votes taken by Sen. Obama, as evidenced in an article published by the nonpartisan think tank Think Progress:
Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) has consistently spoken out and voted against granting retroactive immunity for telecoms that participated with the administration’s warrantless wiretapping program. This stance was part of the reason he won the support of Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT), a leader on civil liberties issues.
One of Obama’s advisers on intelligence and foreign policy advisers, however, is someone who “strongly” supports telecomm immunity. John Brennan is a former CIA official and the current chairman of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance. In a new National Journal interview, Brennan makes it clear that he agrees with the Bush administration on the issue of immunity….
So the implication advanced in the out-of-context Washington Times report that Brennan is somehow an Obama loyalist is betrayed by Brennan’s decades-long resume showing that his true loyalties are to the CIA and his former Company boss (a Clinton appointee) George Tenet. That doesn’t mean Brennan’s advice is bad; in fact, he probably can offer any presidential candidate great insight into the inner-workings of the intelligence world. And the fact that one of Brennan’s employees has been implicated in the passport scandal should not automatically tar Brennan – as the Times story does, in order to also tar Obama.
But there can be no mistake from the copious public record that Brennan is a Company man, and if he owes any loyalty, it is to the people who have enabled his career: George Tenet, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

Comment by Strawberrybitch | 2008-03-23 03:20:04

That last line makes no sense, if Brennan is a company man, loyal to Tenet, Clinton, and Bush, why would obama hire him as an adviser? Oh wait…GOT COMPETENCE?(h/t taylor) Obviously not. At least obama should have distributed the memo to ALL his mouth pieces, not to go off half cocked about demanding AN INVESTIGATION!…at least before making sure his own backside was covered. It’s very funny actually. An Obama presidency could make Bush seem qualified and highly skilled by comparison.

HardFacts -

Yours is the most bizarre conclusion from the facts possible.

Clearly he’s in the tank for Obama - he’s his advisor!

It’s clear that you know how to cut & paste, but your analysis is pure Obamaton.

Let me posit that if he was a Clinton supporter, he might be one of her advisors and not her opponents?!

Additionally, BO’s most stalwart supporter, Claire McCaskill, like the true Republican that she denies she is, voted for the Telecom Immunity bill.

Please consider a LOGIC course in a philosophy department where Bill Ayers isn’t on the staff.

Hard Fact; thanks for the post. In terms of Obama and Brennan, I was not attempting to infer anything specific…However it’s a strange crowd to run with.

Richer recently left Blackwater to become the CEO of Total Intelligence, a new company formed with Black and other ex-CIA officials to provide intelligence services to corporations and government agencies.

Total Intel, as the company is known, is bringing “the skills traditionally honed by CIA operatives directly to the board room,” Black said. Black had a 28-year career with the CIA.

“They have the skills and background to do anything anyone wants,” said RJ Hillhouse, who writes a national security blog called The Spy Who Billed Me. “There’s no oversight. They’re an independent company offering freelance espionage services. They’re rent-a-spies.”

It might be over for the media but I don’t think it is for the people…

Mark Steyn: So much for the ‘post-racial’ candidate

http://www.ocregister.com/articles/wright-obama-black-2003940-america-rev

Comment by Jake | 2008-03-23 14:21:49

I wonder if you appreciate the irony of the fact that you’re using Mark Steyn, a right-wing neoconservative ranter, to tear down someone you probably agree with on 99% of the issues. That kind of thing seems to go on a lot around here; in another thread, people were quoting Pat Buchanan to tear down Obama.

If you stripped all the Hillary references from this blog and its comments, you’d be left with something that looks uncannily like the nuttiest of the right-wing blogs (e.g., Michelle Malkin, Little Green Footballs, Red State, etc.). The exact same distortions of Obama’s record and stances appear over there.

I think the unhinged Hillary supporters on this blog need to stand back, take a deep breath, and ask themselves if they really believe what they’re saying. Have they become so invested in one candidate that they’ve distorted the other candidate beyond recognition? Are they repeating the sins of unhinged Obama supporters on other websites like Daily Kos? Do they realize that playing the same games as the wingnuts only wrecks our chances of beating McCain in the Fall?

Comment by Mel | 2008-03-23 14:25:08

Jake, Obama’s own words, and lack of actions will do that, so distortions are few, facts are plenty, just read the post above you, Obama’s words again!

Or you prefer the right wingers to bury him completely and have 4 more Republican years in Washington?

Comment by Jake | 2008-03-23 14:39:08

You know, I started thinking about what I’d do if I were evil and I wanted to further demoralize Republicans who preferred a candidate other than McCain. I’d probably find a blog or a community where Huckabee or Romney supporters hung out. Then I’d start demonizing McCain by distorting his statements and questioning his character. The locals, still smarting from the rejection of their candidate, would undoubtedly take the bait and pile on. I’d stand back and watch as the McCain-bashing reached a fever pitch, reveling in the knowledge that I’d done my job: those Republicans will hate McCain, all because I lit the fuse. They might even stay home, refusing to vote for the guy they’d worked themselves up into hating.

Such a dynamic seems like it might be going on here. It would certainly explain all the echoes of right-wing talking points I keep seeing here.

Comment by norrismorris | 2008-03-23 15:08:19

Jake,

Please take my advice. I and my parents have been active in progressive politics for years.

Politics is not unlike the art of Chess, or War.

You don’t have a clue as to how to handle McCain, and suggest you leave this to the pros who are trained to do this. Hopefully they’ll be better than the crummy handling by Brazile and Shrum in 2000, and 2004. And pre-Clinton ‘93. Losers all.

Evil is currently in full view on Wright’s videos, and just read some Farrakhan and Wright sermons if you want a touch of evil.

Republicans are far smarter at War politics and discipline in party elections. Worry about Obama.

He’ll need it as Rove has been starting to plan his attacks and believe me he knows his demographics and micromanagement of data to an extent I have not seen from any democratic strategist in years and years.

As Brazile,Axelrod, etc., and the schmucks I’m seeing plan to go, they lose against the GOP unless somehow they continue their ugly smear tactics, and then of course. Obama looks like an angry defensive black politician against McCain, the hero. Voters don’t vote for victims, or angry ranting and race discussions.

I can just see a tv commercial showing Obama and Michelle’s children listening to one of these rants. Family values??

Jake, You’ve got a lot of nerve. You sound like a complete fake. I and my mother marched in Selma. Where wer you Jake? I served on the Board of Directors of the NYC chapter of the Urban League of A. in the 60’s. Where were you and what were you doing? I have been a progressive all my life and stil am, but I do not approve of Obama on many significant levels.

If you think the Black panthers and Malcolm X are representative of this country, you are nuts. You also have repulsive hubris to suggest that I am a right wingnut because I oppose Obama.

Do you even know who
hitney Young was? He was head of the Urban league and part of MLK movement. I worked with him and valued his friendship for years until he died.

During huge DC demonstration against Vietnam war, i hired a bus and loaded it with young and old protesters and took a suite at the DC Statler, where those who could not afford more slept on the floors, and rested and washed up. I met people from all over the country [and the
world] who helped to put the wheels in motion to end Vietnam.

You haven’t earned the right to put down anyone who finds Wright repulsive and obama repulsive for allowing Black Panther Banners all over his website, only scrubbed when the Wright mess began. Paranoid hate dpeech is not progressive under any circumstances.

Where were you that gives you the stones to even SUGGEST that I want the GOP to win because I object to Obama and much of his past and his views?

You sound like the totalitarian communists who kept telling us for years, “For the greater good, the end justifies the means”.

You sound like a left over 50′-60’s exteme leftist who thought the Weathermen would “change” America, no matter what the cost.

Listen Jake, the end doesn’t justify the means, and I’m white and don’t need your or Obama’s permission to disagree.

Agreeing with anyone on an issue, or on some of an issue does not mean support. You seem to think like a communist…in black or white, or better…a rightwingnut.

There are areas of agreement between the parties. This does not signify support for the right wing. There are areas of agreement even between enemies. Does this escape your lockstep mind?

You are a very close minded and naive person. I’ve been reading your comments, and I beleive you have no political experience whatsoever. If so, Jake, what have you done, when, and where that gives you the right to be so judgmental and “knowledgable” that I completely challenge??

Buchanan is not someone I endorse, but occasionally I agree with him, and others far left. What does that mean?

Jake, nothing. It means I can think for myself and make my own true decisions. I don’t think you can do this and wonder about your political background. I doubt you’ll tell us with real attribution.

Comment by Jake | 2008-03-23 16:00:37

My point is not that it’s wrong to find agreement with people who you normally disagree with. My point is that it might behoove you to ask yourself why so so much of the anti-Obama rhetoric here resembles right-wing agitprop.

A little self-examination is in order around here.

Comment by norrismorris | 2008-03-23 16:29:10

Simple Jake. Take the extreme right wing coin, and flip it over.

What do you see?

An extreme left wing coin.

They are the same. Destructive and counterproductive. Both encourage lawlessness ans rigid control. Both inhibit free speech, and democracy as it was meant to be .

For all the people, not a bunch of extremists representing small factions on either side.

Comment by Patrick Henry | 2008-03-23 17:09:37

Norris..

I agree.. My Worst Fear was that this year we would Flip from One side of the Coin..The far Right coup of the Bush Neo Cons.. to some Form of far left Extremism in Retaliation..

I just didn’t see that happening with Hillary Clinton as the Democrat Candidate Front runner..

This was the year That I Hoped things were coming back to the Center..and that there would tremendous UNITY and Opptomism among Democrats..Independants and Republicans who really cared about the Economy and want to find ways to end the war..

So..Whats Happening..?? More of the same DIVISION..ANGST..Fighting..arguing..and Extremism..All because of Obamas entrance into the political picture..

What does it look like Our Choices Are NOW.?

A COIN FLIP..

John McCain..who my wind up being even MORE Right Wing that the Bush nweo Cons…How many BUSH people get to stay around for another OSP Game..What Promises Were Made..What Back room deals…Why did all the BIG MONEY get behind McCain.>why was He resucitated when He needed OXYGEN and Life Support..??

I Think Because His Policys will BEST Suite
the Objectives of the REPUBLICAN POWER PLAYERS..and the NWO..

Other Side of the COIN..

Now its OBAMA..Being supported by the FAR LEFT MONEY MACHINE that has Infiltrated The Democrat Party for a long time Now..Like the neo Con Extremists…There are also Far Left extremists with Opposite ideology in the Democrat party..

Knowing what we Know NOW..I Think Obama is FAR LEFT of Hillary Clinton and the Moderate Arm of the Democrat Party..

NOW..As Larry Johnson just Noted in His Article POLITICAL POVERTY..The Fight is On..
All The Media Disinformation and Mind Control..for Various reasons..All the Moles and Sympathizers and HACS…who are Trying to control Public opinion…Who Support McCain and the Neo Cons..but try to Manipulate Public opinion In favor of OBAMA
and against Hillary just because they think
Obama will be easier to Beat..

Obama’s People are desperate..this is a One Shot Opportunity..I think Obama is even exceeding thier expectations..Perhaps at First they were Hoping For a VP Slot..

Now that they have Tasted VICTORY…Like Heroin Addicts..they Are HOOKED..and will Steal from Family and Friends to support thier Addiction Now..They will SELL thier SOULS to the DEVIL..for Power..They will Bribe other People with a TASTE..

Tempting..always Tempting..The DEVIL has Many Tools..But a LIE is the Handle that Fits them All..

These Games are Powerful..DisInformation is powerful..Mind control is Power..Super Powers
and thier Agencies Play these games..

If there EVER was a Time for TRUTH..it is Now..Thank God Former Inasiders Like Larry Know how the game is Played..and Now has the Freedom to Come OUT to the People..

On this Easter Sunday Day..a Time of belief in Renewal..for some of us..I Hope Our nation..The United states of america…will be resurrected from the Conflicts we endure..from the hyprocicy of the Ruling Elites..from the Thorns that they Pierce us with..

And may we Find our Freedom and Salvation
in TRUTH..

A Resurrected America..

The right wing will take advantage of any weakness shown by any challenger.

If I disagree on a point that the right wing may seize, it does not an cannot invalidate my search for truth, or denial of obvious flaws in an obviously very poorly vetted Obama.

Your argument remains specious and naive. undemocratic and anti free thinking. And a rejection of the truth about someone you bought before examining the merchandise.

The right wing will rip him, but my reactions and knowledge have nothing to do with that and i will not accept this fake because the right wing is after him.

They will be after any Dem nominee, no matter.

Jake:

He surely makes much more sense than the stupidities the MSM and many of the DNC/Obama pundits say.
I don’t care who Mark Steyn is: read the piece and think for yourself. That’s what I do and I agree 100% with him.

Of course if you rather be a sheep and follow the DNC/Obama line, be my guest. I don’t have to.

This idea of for the “Good of the party” is
pretty absurd: what’s this communist Russia?

Use your brains man.

Comment by norrismorris | 2008-03-23 16:39:15

This is Marxist Doctrine. I have heard it for years.

It never worked. It is anti democratic, rigid, and ultimately EXTREMELY DANGEROUS FOR AMERICA AND THE WORLD.

From a long time Democrat who thinks her party is off the rails.

Marxist ideology will take America further down to the floor itself. Third world America.

More deranged racial tribalism from the pro-Hillary fever swamp. I have little doubt that Hillary would be ashamed that this kind of race-baiting is taking place in her name. Obama was right. We have a long way to go on the topic of race in this country.

Do you prefer a violin or a guitar?
Any thing with a string for me. LOL

oops
Didn’t Senator Clinton speak at the KOS convention?

Comment by norrismorris | 2008-03-23 14:54:00

Clinton spoke at Kos Convention where she had the guts to take a lot of heat from deranged and ignorant leftist rants. I saw it. She was calm, and made her case amid a great deal of hostility.

She tried to explain to these leftist reactionaries that there are all kinds of lobbyists.

These stupid rigid nutcases cannot understand that : Planned Parenthood, Pro Choice, Sierra, Common Cause, and so many lobby’s are actually good as they represent those without a voice that need to be represented and heard.

With this bunch…it’s all or nothing.

No lobbying at all, it’s all bad which of course is not true. Those who are voiceless neeed lobbying to advance their ideas on any number of progressive causes.

She showed them she could debate, instruct, and do it without anger. Kos has left the station and I would never give them a hit again as they don’t deserve it after trashing bloggers and lack of fairness shown. Same with HuffPo.

Finally, Clinton listened, spoke and tried to reach these extremists.

Comment by TeakWoodKite | 2008-03-23 16:05:50

I give Sen Clinton credit for going and speaking. Not that Obama would go NO to speak at Travis Smiley’s event.

Speak volumes.

Norrismorris, thanks for sharing some of your past. I am always fasinated by the experiences of others.

“Obama was right”

I think you meant Obama was Wright, right?

Comment by norrismorris | 2008-03-23 14:44:47

Listen Jake,

You sound either like a troll or an angry Obamaton, or either an angry black or angry leftist.

Get real, O is a fake, a trash and burn politician with a hit squad equal to none.

Trashing Bill as a McCarthyite is as slimy as it gets. UGH!

The only swamp you allude to is the one O came out of from his 75 day a year day job on Illinois senate as he took payoffs and money from Rezko,Exelon, Crown, and all the rest. Chcago politics are the sewer of machine politics as current Rezko and Gov.B trial are letting all see.

Calling Hillary names is to be expected from plants and trolls on MSM and websites.

He will never be legitimate,,,no matter what happens. Just wait and see.

Currently Clinton beats O in most polls and is even or ahead of McCain. O will do well with west, as it’s full of smaller votes and leftist at that.

If dems continue to be blackmailed in endorsing O, they will pay dearly for this.

Oregon means nthing in electoral college, and whites in southern states will bury him.

NORRIS MOREOFTHIS..

You points are right on..Its obvious you are doing your own homework like many others here..Doing Background..looking at Obamas record in Illinois..Looking at how is achieveing his political ambitions and how many people he has stepped on..The moment He achieved one objective..He neglected his responsibilitys..and found ruthless ways to Climb Higher..

Look at The REAL Data about the people Obama has associated with..With ties to Syria..and Saddam Bagmen..and Money Launders..

Have you read about Who Obamas Dad associated with in Kenya..The Politics involved ..How Obamas Dad got to the United states..for his education..Why He was Sent here.. ??Why Obama Sr. abandoned Obama and His mother to go back to Kenya..?? Why..?? So he could be an “EDUCATED” Black man who was going to Help His Black Socialist Mentor set up a New Revolutionary Government in Kenya..and they needed Educated Blackmen in the Cabinet and Administration..

Obama Srs Mentor was assasinated in 1968..and Obamas dad lost his Status..his money supply and turned into a Drunk who ha so many car wrecks He lost both of his legs and finally died in another Car wreck..Obamas family hated white people .. Look at what is fueling the Genocide and Revolutions in Africa…Marxist Doctrine..

Jake..Have you even researched any of that..??

The DATA is all out there..Why do you think people come to the Web Site of a Former CIA Analyist..and Deputy Director of CT..

For Analysis..For FACT Finding..The same Reason this Blog was Started..and is called NQ..

What was good for the Republicans and the the Bush Cartel…is good for the democrats and the Obama cartel..

Larry Johnson started digging into the Bush Administration..The Neo Con Connections..Thier Operations..Their Means..Methods and Tactics..

There is enough in Obamas Background that he merits the same INVESTIGATION..and EXPOSURE..

None of Us what that to Happen AFTER Obama is potentially elected..and go’s though a $100 Million Dollar Investigation demanded by the Republicans like the Clintons..

Sure..I want the Democrats to Win..I also want the Best vetted and best Qualified candidate from the Party..That is Hillary Clinton..Pure Logical Conclusion..Equal to any MAN..or anyone who Best represents Democratic Policy and Values..

The Clinton White Water Investigations were Petty and Political..yet they happened..

Its Not right to just White Wash Obama..until its too late..and ingnore the data..just to get him elected..and let him take over administartion of the united states government..Its Military and resources..

We here at NQ..Want to see How Dirty his WATER is NOW..Let him PROVE His Innocence and Estaqblish his Bona Fides.. He is running for The Presidency of the United States..

A Logical and Reasonable endeavor..

THANKS FOR THIS WONDERFUL POST. And your evaluation and analysis of Larry Johnson and his positions that were so brave and factual regarding the Plame affaire and the Bush lies.

The pitiful converts to Obama are ignorant of the true background of Obama, and smearing true progressives and clear thinkers who of course oppose Bush, seems to make them nuts.

The backstory of Obama in Africa is chilling, and his ties, his endorsements by the Black Power, mixed in with money entrenched in Pritzker,Soros,Exelon
