Three Myths about the Democratic Race

MYTH: Barack Obama is running a positive campaign that will unite Americans.
FACT: Barack Obama and his advisers have conducted a divisive "full assault" on Hillary’s character.
While talking a lot about the politics of hope, change and unity, Sen. Obama and his campaign have been conducting a relentless and singularly personal assault on Hillary’s character. They have blanketed big states with false negative mailers and radio ads and have described Hillary and her campaign as "disingenuous," "divisive," "untruthful," "dishonest," "polarizing," "calculating," "saying whatever it takes to win," "attempting to deceive the American people," "one of the most secretive in America," “deliberately misleading,” “literally willing to do anything to win,” and “playing politics with war."
This "full assault" on Hillary’s integrity and character has reached a new peak since Hillary’s victories on March 4th. One of Sen. Obama’s top surrogates equated President Clinton with Joe McCarthy; another called Hillary a "monster;" and his campaign manager held an angry conference call claiming that Hillary is "deeply flawed" and has "character issues." That’s neither unifying nor hopeful. If Sen. Obama really is the prohibitive favorite some say he is, these negative attacks make absolutely no sense. Why would a frontrunner seek to attack and divide? If Sen. Obama can’t unify Democrats in a primary, how can he unify Americans in a general election?
=====
MYTH: The delegate "math" works decisively against Hillary.
FACT: The delegate math reflects an extremely close race that either candidate can win.
"The Math" is actually very simple: with hundreds of delegates still uncommitted, NEITHER candidate has reached the number of delegates required to secure the nomination. And EITHER candidate can reach the required number in the coming weeks and months. That is indisputable. No amount of editorials, articles, blog posts, charts, graphs, calculations, formulas, or projections will change the basic fact that either candidate can win. Pundits who confidently proclaim that Hillary has no hope of winning because of "the math," have counted Hillary out of this race three times before. Each time they based their sober assessments on ‘facts’ and ‘realities’ — and each time they were wrong.
In a campaign with dozens of unexpected twists and turns, bold prognostications should be viewed with a healthy dose of skepticism. Look no further than Sen. Obama’s "full assault" on Hillary’s character to judge whether he thinks this election is over. The fact is this: Hillary and Sen. Obama are locked in a very close, hard-fought campaign and Hillary is demonstrating precisely the strength of character required of a president. Her resilience in the face of adversity, her faith in the voters, her capacity to rise to every challenge, are part of the reason she is the best general election candidate for Democrats. And it is why she is increasingly strong against John McCain in the polls at the same time that Sen. Obama is dropping against Sen. McCain.
=====
MYTH: For Hillary to win, super delegates must "overturn the will of the people."
FACT: The race is virtually tied, the "will of the people" is split, and both candidates need super delegates to win.
The Obama campaign and Sen. Obama’s surrogates have engaged in a sustained public relations effort to convince people that the election is over and that if super delegates perform their established role of choosing a candidate who they believe will make the best nominee and president, they are somehow "overturning the will of the people." They have the audacity to make this argument while quietly and systematically courting those very same super delegates. They are courting them because they know that Sen. Obama needs super delegates to win. The Obama spin is being parroted daily by pundits, but it is patently false. The race is virtually tied; the "will of the people" is split. By virtually every measure, Hillary and Sen. Obama are neck and neck — separated by less than 130 of the more than 3,100 delegates committed thus far and less than 1% of the 27 million+ votes cast, including Florida and Michigan. Less than 1%.
An incremental advantage for one candidate or the other is hardly a reason for super delegates to change the rules mid-game. Despite the Obama campaign’s aggressive spin and pressure, the RULES require super delegates to exercise their best independent judgment, and that is what they will do. Even Sen. Obama’s top strategist agrees they should. If not, then why don’t prominent Obama endorsers like Senators Kerry (MA) and Kennedy (MA), and Governors Patrick (MA), Napolitano (AZ) and Richardson (NM) follow the will of their constituents and switch their support to Hillary? After all, she won their states. And if this is truly about the "will of the people," then Sen. Obama’s short-sighted tactic to run out the clock on a revote in Florida and Michigan accomplishes exactly two things: it disenfranchises Florida and Michigan’s voters; and it hurts Democrats in a general election. Apparently, for the Obama campaign, the "will of the people" is just words.

The explanation is simple - if Obama can convince enough people to believe his lies (and until he denounces his campaign’s lies, they are his words), he thinks that he can take voters away from Clinton. How republican of him. As long as blogs like this one are around, the internet provides a place for people to go to in order to find out the other side of the story.

Why don’t you Hillary fans check on the internet about
Clinton’s Scandals, Clinton’s murders, Bush Sr./Clinton 9/11, Clinton’s Lawsuits, Clinton’s trashing the White House, and anything else you can think of, then tell everyone she is the one you want in the White House.
did you do the same on Obama and McCain?
BTW, the Obama one is growing every day at lightening speed!
Sorfry to disappoint you!

i already said he was a liar and it disapeared.
If Sen. Obama can’t unify Democrats in a primary, how can he unify Americans in a general election?
I think the bigger question is why do we have to wait until Obama is president to witness his awesome unifying power? Why hasn’t he used it before now?
Because he can’t do it. Like everything else, he’s all talk.
“Like everything else, he’s all talk.”
That, plus ahead in the popular vote, pledged delegates, contests won, money raised, money in the bank…”
You didn’t mention Electoral College votes… oh.
Oh, that’s the new Clinton standard of the week?
Will:
No the ranting audio from the Obama camp about HRC is.
Since the set of credentials of Obama is an empty set there is nothing they can do by tear HRC down.
There are two ways of elevating yourself in life: by your own work (Clinton) or by demeaning everyone else (Obama’s tactic)
That audio is priceless. If you hear carefully
it is such a logically flawed and incoherent piece that is would be funny if it were not because we are electing the next US President…
changing the subject…
you are an idiot.
Sorry your candidate is about to lose. I know it hurts.
He said looking in the mirror. Go for it Will.
What do you think of Hillary’s surviving sniper fire in Bosnia?
Ever had a gun pointed at your person? NO?
I would not wish that on anybody…
I didn’t like it; and I am glad she or the other members did not get shot at. By the way did you notice on the clip they have been showing, how close to the bunker they were standing? Or was that the outhouse with all those sandbags and gun slots? Real safe eh? Ever done a corkscrew? The pilots that execute those moves know their shit for a reason.
Did you notice when they showed President Clinton a number of service members were FACING the camera? Looking outward? Real safe and relaxed dressed in battle gear.
“Ever had a gun pointed at your person? NO?”
I actually have had a gun pointed in my face. But that’s another story…
“I didn’t like it; and I am glad she or the other members did not get shot at.”
Me, too. Why did she claim that she was?
“By the way did you notice on the clip they have been showing, how close to the bunker they were standing? Or was that the outhouse with all those sandbags and gun slots? Real safe eh?”
Where were you when Howard Wolfson was flailing around trying to spin this thing today? This is SO much better!
Her tale reminded me of Reagan claiming that he helped liberate concentration camps–while in the USO!
Don’t tell me, Obama needed $800,000 so he sent you to meet Rezko at one of his slums for a payoff, to pick teh residents’ pockets? While the first lady to visit a war zone since WWII was so safe, you were in far greater danger in a Mafia style shakedown, just like everyone so unfortunate as to have Obama “on their side.”
“Her tale reminded me of Reagan claiming that he helped liberate concentration camps–while in the USO!”
Will, let’s pretend for a moment that all Obama supporters aren’t morons. It’s really hard to pretend that hard, but try. Now, Obama’s foreign policy experience consists of visiting an Olive Garden, but that’s okay. Let’s pretend that these things we call ‘foreign countries’ actualy exist, okay? Let’s also pretend that visiting a war zone is dangerous (the Olive Garden parking lot has, like, cars, you could get hit by!). Let’s further pretnd that um, having the first FL to visit a war zone, or a Senator, or any type of dignitary or celebrity, get killed there would be kind of problematic. Maybe a little worse than problematic from a PR standpoint. Would you take precautions if there was the slighest chance for an incident? Would you say, ma’mn, we’re likely to be under fire and we need you to be incredibly careful?
Okay, well, you’d probably drool into a cup and count that as Naval experience, but most people probably would. But, I hear the majority of the country is practicing choruses of ‘God Damn america’ to prepare for teh convention, so who knows.
Well, don’t worry, the votes are already in in IL, so Obama won’t do worse than Mondale.
Well, unless Howard and Donna have the power to disenfranchise states in teh general, that’s kind of “the” standard. Myabe Obama can talk to his Holy Father, ask him to stop turning water into wine and change McCain votes to Obama votes?
Yet with all that, he still hasn’t clinched the nomination. I wonder why?
I guess money can’t buy everything.
Will:
You forgot to include the MSM in the bank and the DNC in the bank as well. All this establishment in his corner, and he still can’t knock out this “gurl”
To Will..
and the man responsible for losing the electoral votes in Nov, because the Dem voters will stay home or vote McCain because Obama disenfranchised them !
can you say …President McCain??.Obama screwed Florida and Michigan and lost the election in Nov because of that!!
and please do practice President McCain…if you think Obama should be the candidate without counting Florida and Michigan.and get used to it..
and do tell us about the electoral votes from Wyoming, Idaho, and Utah again …will ya..
I know how many my state has, that will now be going to McCain..that would be 27..
and the Republicans in Florida are laughing their asses off at you , Obama , Dean and Donna Brazile!
“and the man responsible for losing the electoral votes in Nov, because the Dem voters will stay home or vote McCain because Obama disenfranchised them !”
I believe the DNC Credentials Committee put rules in place barring Florida and Michigan from voting early. They were told what the punishment would be. They went ahead and did it. The DNC is enforcing its rules. If they didn’t, we’d have primaries for 2012 start in 2010. Get a grip. The “franchise” is whatever the party decides it will be–no one has a constitutional right to vote in a party’s primary.
That said, I am certain that once Obama secures the nomination, he will have the credentials committee go ahead and seat the delegations as a peace offering. So no “disenfranchisement” of any kind.
See? All Better!
Will Will Will..
I believe the DNC Credentials Committee put rules in place barring Florida and Michigan from voting early. They were told what the punishment would be. They went ahead and did it.
Have you and the obamambots been asleep for 8 years? it was the republican party that tagged the Date change on a Florida bill that banned the DRE voting machines in Florida and mandated Voter Verified paper ballots..now how many times do you obamabrats need to be told the facts?
And when do you get it..i don’t give a crap what the DNC said… they are liars..RULES THEY SAID.. RIGHT????????..RULES..WELL OBAMA BROKE THE RULES..HE BROKE MORE THAN ONE RULE IN FLA ..AND IT WAS REPUBLICANS THAT BROKE THE RULES BY TAGGING ONTO a bill that would enfranchise our states voters, unlike they were for 8 years !
so if enfranchising our voters is breaking Deans rules.. that he doesn’t give a shit that Obama breaks.. well Then Dean doesn’t care one wit about democracy and we as a democratic party and Americans can get down and kiss democracy good bye!
Dean is a liar.
Dean is destroying our chances for the White House, and Dean is complicit in keeping the status quo.
Rules my ass,..Obama is the biggest rule breaker and so is Howard Dean!
If you like being manipulated and being told who will be your president , so be it.
I am not willing to have anyone decide for me..I take We the People very seriously! Not we the Dean, nor We the Obama.
I have a born right to my vote, and Dean has now disenfranchised me, and my family and my friends and my state. You and he will pay a very dear price for that…as will we all.
But i will assure you,
don’t count my vote today,
I will sit home in November.
My husband says he will Vote McCain, as my husband was in the military during the Vietnam War,as an Army M.P. , although my husband was not in theater..my husband says he trusts McCain more than Obama.
My husband has never ever voted for a republican before..but he will this time, if his vote is not counted , we both feel very strongly about this.
They weren’t actually told what teh punishent would be, since ‘the rules’ state that only up to 50% of delegate can be stripped. But good enough, since NH and Sc also movedup their primaries and weren’t sanctioned–rules are good except when they’re not. And let’s take a page from Bama’s second fave Presient ad declare, “counting votes” equals “cheating.”
“The “franchise” is whatever the party decides it will be–no one has a constitutional right to vote in a party’s primary.”
Yeah, Fanny Lou Hamer is proud today. Except Republicans, who have a right to vote n ou primary, for without them bama wouldn’t have any votes. And then, as you point out, they become more like Democrats than actual Democrats. To the Democrats who think they can vote any way they want, they’re lucky they weren’t beaten instead off just disenfarncised.
It isn’t over, yet. 10 more states to go. Neither one has won it, so let democracy rule. If Obama is so secure and sure of his win, why would he disenfranchise the voters in Fl and MI? He should facilitate a revote and then maybe we would all be united in supporting him in the GE. Otherwise, it will appear as an illegitimate nomination. He is preventing the unity that this party truly needs and deserves. Obama seems to be the one who will do anything to win. He does not care about the people, he only cares to do what benefits him
Number of states disenfranchised, money wasted in populous states where he goes down in flames cuz you can’t chase people out of a primary.
He has gotten this die in the wool Democrats pissed off……At Barack Obama!
What an empty suit. I only will Joe Wilson and Larry Johnson were on Stephanie Miller, Ed Schultz, Randi Rhodes and Keith Olbermann to provide a few minutes of balance to the 12 hours/day of Obamamercials.
Fight the good fight. It is not over. Take this back to Hillary…..if and when this is over…if the party don’t want you and you still want to continue…we will continue with you 3rd party if needed. We will still fight and win.
Ahh — who’s “we”? Speak for yourself, please.
As far as I’m concerned, I will NOT do anything that only ensures a Republican retains the White House. Given what they’ve done to our country, the GOP has forfeited its right to govern on practically any level. And I’m pretty sure that both Hillary and Bill would agree with me.
Good for you. Democrats have to stick together, unless people have gotten so used to Republican administrations they’d prefer it to not getting their favorite Dem candidate.
AH yes,…aka peer pressure. Well the problem with your thinking is that some of us are independents. When November comes I can guarantee you that I will not vote for Obama. I will likely vote for the same independent I voted for in 2000. I think you need to get out of your party only logic for a moment and realize how many people are “democrat by default” and how many are independent citizens.
See, I played this game in 2004 and voted for the puffed up windbag, Kerry on your logic…did it work? nahh…and I feel compromised. I though …ok, it is so important to stop Bush that I must vote for the puffed up windbag who couldn’t even take on the AWOL president, who I know snorted cocaine down here in Houston, who I know dodged his duty to serve during vietnam, who ruined my state before going to DC, and Goddamn him, traded away great Texas Rangers players!!!
But did Kerry beat him? Nope…because there was too much delusion in the DNC. Well that delusion has returned. And I’m not voting for the puff of smoke trojan horse Obama. I will vote for HRC over McCain because I already know exactly where I disagree with her policies and record. I can see her record, I can scrutize it, and I can remember very well the moments of outrage at her votes as a Senator. But I can also see where she put her efforts for 35 years and say..”i’ll give her some room for bad judgement after all the choices she has made”
Obama has no such record to analyze and examine. Its much much shorter. The fucker hasn’t even completed his first goddamn term as Senator! Has he any schred of decency? Nunca!
If HRC gets the nomination then she will be a strong candidate to defeat McCain. But if not, I’ll vote for the candidate that I won’t have buyers remorse for, Ralph Nader. I voted for him in 2000, voted for Kerry on your theory and that didn’t work, and now I’ll vote my principles instead of compromise.
I’m tired of thinking of change in 4 year incriments. Its bullshit to do so. Imagine being someone who was alive in the 50s under segregation who fought for civil rights and thought it would never come…and died in 60,61,62, or any time just before the Civil Rights Acts of 1964 and 1965. They might have never thought it would happen.
Go back even further to 1865 and imagine all those who died in Texas before June 19th thinking they’d never be free from slavery. But it did end.
There are measurements beyond my years to consider and if I keep pulling up roots to plant a new seed everytime I didn’t get a tree in 15 minutes, I’d be a very shallow planter.
Everything Chris said!
Thanks to you Chris for being an adult.
obama is not a democrat: he does not offer universal health care; he voted present on anti-choice legislation while serving in the illinois state senate; she utilizes republican tropes when discussing social security; his economic advisors have assured canada that we will remain committed to free trade; he views unions as special interests; and he campaigns with homophobic ministers during a “gospel tour” of south carolina.
“obama is not a democrat: he does not offer universal health care; he voted present on anti-choice legislation while serving in the illinois state senate; she utilizes republican tropes when discussing social security”
Freudian slip…
Yes, that #$%&* used mind control to force the Great Progessive to mouth Republican talking points on SS. It’s all her fault, if she’d just quit the race and teach him basic policy like a good mommy, we wouldn’t have to fear that he’d press ‘the wrong button’ like he did the 6 times he actually bothered to vote in illinois. Hillary, get the flashcards, slums bad, old people not eating dog food good, Obama’s got it backwards again.
most of Obama’s advisors are Neo cons ..so please save it..he is not much different than those who ran little lord pissy pants!
he will be another tool in the tool chest for the neo cons!
“The race is virtually tied; the “will of the people” is split.”
Now, come on. There are valid arguments to be making in support of Hillary staying in the race. But saying that an Obama popular-vote lead, pledged-delegate lead, contests-won lead means the “will of the people is ’split’”, is ridiculous.
Why you know I’m right: If Hillary were ahead by the same margins, and Obama’s campaign made the same assertion, you would laugh them out of the room.
If Obama was as far ahead as you Obamaroids want folks to believe, he’d have the nomination locked up. He isn’t and he doesn’t.
No one said he was so far ahead as to have the nomination locked up. That doesn’t mean he’s not ahead. And being ahead in both the popular vote and the pledged delegate count is quite different from being “virtually tied”, with the Democrats “evenly split”. Sorry.
The democratic voters are indeed evenly split: that is fact Will.
I’m sorry, but that’s simply not the case. Obama is ahead in the popular vote. If you voted in a Democratic Party primary, you are by definition now a “Democratic” voter. That goes for Republican crossovers for both Obama and Clinton.
You saying so doesn’t change facts: evenly split means that out of 27M voters so far about 50% have voted for each. And we count –which we should if we want to claim this to be a democracy - all those voters who went to the polls in FL & MI; HRC is ahead.
That is fact.
The contests in Florida were not legitimate. Even Hillary agrees–why else has she been pushing for a “revote”?
If Obama did not think they were egitimate, then why did he campaign in Fla and Mich, by sneaking in Cable news advertising and fliers?
Brought to you by the Obama campaign on the Environment, Recycling matters, especially words!
Sponsored by Your Corner Book Store, this months promotion, “Dreams of my Father” and “The Audacity of Hope”! All profits go to the Obama Trust Fund in aide of Minority housing in Chicago (Obama’s own)!
People’s votes are always legitimate pal.
The popular vote will be certified; regardless of delegates.
“The popular vote will be certified; regardless of delegates.”
I’m not sure what you mean by that.
The contests in Florida were not legitimate.
The BASTARD VOTE? Tell that to the folks down in Florida! You do realize people are actually MOVING OUT of Florida, just so they can have a vote that is counted?
BO campaign released a memo after the vote in Florida that the votes in Florida were “meaningless”…and now he is actively PREVENTING ANY action to redress this? When he lied and said he would “do what ever the DNC decided”?
Just once I would enjoy debating an Obama supporter that actually did thier freakin homework. It isn’t you Will.
Yeah, because FL had the largest turnout ever, and where people vote, Obama can’t win. if he wasn’t trying to win FL, why go with ‘Democrat for a day’? If Flloridians hd voted his way, it’d become legitimate pretty damn quick.
Hey, if we disenfrachise every stat except Alaska, then throw out her votes there, Obama would not be ‘ahead’ in the popular vote, he’d be the unanimous choice. Let’s do that!
‘Obama has received every single vote cast, Clinton has none.’ Sounds good to me.
Oh the literalisms are going to hurt in November. I know for a fact that many of the “Republican cross overs” here in Texas are headed right to their party in November. This is one of the main reason I despise the “dem for a day” crap. At least I can admit that in November I’ll be what I was when I walked into the primary and caucus. I’m an independent who participated in the Democratic Party. I did not give my independent mind because of the primary.
But I also wasn’t gaming the system. I was voting for the candidate that I thought could be McCain. If she does not get the nod, then I’m simply not voting.
Those “republican crossovers” did also vote for Clinton for the same reason as many Obama supporters did. We’ll see what the total count will look like in November.
Obama will be ahead in popular vote based on an asterisk (*note, florida and michigan were disenfranchised).
I’ve been here before buddy. I know what a poor winner acts like, and Obama is doing this.
Will, what would you say if Clinton didn’t want to count Michigan and Florida if the flip were true. Seriously, I’m curious.
“…you are by definition now
a “Democratic” voter. That goes for
Republican crossovers for both
Obama and Clinton.”
Where did you learn that, Will? The same school you learned what a statistical tie is? Based on polling by several different sources Obama has declining support. I am willing to wager he is losing most of that support from Republicans and Independents. Many of those R’s & Is who voted for him in the first place are SWING voters - highly erratic voters who you can never clian as D or R.
And those swing voters are voters the Democrats need in the General. I estimate that the Democratic nominee will need between 40 to 60 millon swing voters to win in the General election.
Obamabots are so interested in winning this primary they are not keeping their eye on the ball. IT’S THE GENERAL ELECTION STUPID !!!!!! And that one Obama cannot win.
Some of us want to win back the White House. We do not want a loser. And sorry, but Obama is so toxic now he cannot win in November despite all your hope and hype.
obama was always toxic but he keeps stealing elections with his LIES and FAKE votes. But hillary gets the votes from real americans and even some blacks. but the media won’t report it.
he’s trying to steal another election like bush did. hillary is trying to stop him and let us know. we need to help her and votings not enough because i voted for her but i guess it didnt count.
i feel like i cant do anything to stop it but hillary can. otherwise he’ll steal the whole thing and by by white house. they’ll burn it down.
will excuse me..but in the sanctions that Obama supporters H.Dean and Donna Brazile imposed on Florida and Michigan said the Delegates would not be seated, nowhere i have seen did it say the Will of the voters would not be counted, and if you believe so, please show me where in the sanctions it says the popular vote of Florida and Michigan would not be counted!!
Thank you
fly
I don’t believe the popular vote is “counted” anywhere, as far as the convention is concerned. It’s about delegates. It’s certainly not certified anywhere.
Will , you can not have it both ways..you and Obamabots keep saying Obama is ahead in delegates and the popular vote..the hell he is..
No one made Obama take his name off Michigan’s ballot, he did that voluntarily and for his own reasons. It was not in any of the rules.
Now he wants to change the damn rules to fit his mistakes….who does he think he is? who gives him that right?…He wants to disenfranchise the voters of Michigan, because he was manipulating voters. That is his tough luck..but noooooooooo the rule miser Dean is allowing this cheater steal and disenfranchise the voters of Michigan.
And again, Obama cheated in Florida..it was Obama who came into Florida in Sept 2007, right after signing the pledge to not seat the Fla delegation, that he came to where I live and told dem voters he would seat the Fla delegation..hell the ink wasn’t even dry on his signature on the pledge he signed…so which rules are they.. that Dr. Dean allows being broken..only those.. Obama breaks???????????
You can play the fool Will..but I refuse to!
And I will Hold each and Every dem accountable that steals my vote and disenfranchises me!
My list begins with Howard Dean, Donna Brazile , and Obama!
fly
If you throw out Obama’s Republican votes, Hillary leads in popular votes by actual Democrats. That is why Obama is constantly begging Republicans to register as Dems for a day. He cannot gain support from genuine Democrats.
I have been a Democrat since I registered in 1974, but I will not have this guy shoved down my throat. I will not vote for him. Since he is urging Republicans to take over the Democratic party, I do not consider that to be deserting my values. My party has deserted its values.
Obama will not articulate his policies well enough for anyone to know where he stands on most issues, he weaves around and has his surrogates change the story constantly. His record on women’s issues speaks for itself. Hit the wrong button too many times. Hope, hope, hope. It is wearing thin. Work and Results are what is important.
“If you throw out Obama’s Republican votes, Hillary leads in popular votes by actual Democrats.”
Why aren’t you throwing out Hillary’s Republican votes also, then?
Republicans mostly hate Hillary and never once has she asked for a Republican vote. Obama is the candidate bragging about his Obamacans. Obama is the candidate begging for Republicans to cross over and vote for him. Hillary has never run such an ad.
Also, I’m happy to throw out Hillary’s Republican votes. There just aren’t that many of them.
She still leads among actual Democrats, genius.
Face it allimom99, Will is from Willets.
what’s “Willets”?
Place, not thing. I said “from”.
she leads among all people
My party has deserted its values.
Yes, apishapa, and it has deserted me. It has deserted it’s most loyal voters.
oh boo hoo. they vote for the democrat every time but they dont care about the democrats, they’ve just been waiting for this moment to steal the election and they’ll do it again. first they tried it with jesse jackson but he was stopped. now he’s come back.
loyal to THEMSELVES. when hillary wins your going to be in for a shock because all people want her, not just SOME who dont carea bout america anyway. like jermiah wright. we have black panthers in new york too.
so sorry but your FRAUD wont win because we know what hes trying to do even if the media dont. just sean hannity and the other two.
i didn’t vote for him already and the media is saying that he’s goign to win. they should say he’s goint to STEAL. because that’s what they do.
we voted and he wants to stealt he election like bush. and he wants to first do it to hillary and then to john mccain. well guess what. the peopel wont take it and we wont have a president who hates america. a president who hates america and whites - no way. i voted for hillary and if she can be my senator she can be my president too.
work and results are important. and real votes not fake votes like obamas. hillary has real people, obama just steals election after election. when will it stop?
all votes are equal unless your a democrat i guess, then if there for hillary they dont count and obama can just LIE about his. and then peopel say the dnc delegates wont vote for hillary because they hate her but thats another LIE because oblama would have stolen the election already like a hubcap.
His being “ahead” is based on his lies and distortion campaign. His recent poll numbers are posted on Obama realities and less people willing to drink the Kool aid.
he’s not even ahead so don’t even try it! he’s got FAKE votes and PHONY delegates because he’s a FRAUD.
But you are once again incorrect: view the electoral vote calculation.
finally someone who knows. the media says he going to win and people here believe it. the only thing he’s ahead at is stolen votes yeah he’s got those alright.
If Hillary were ahead by the same margins, and Obama’s campaign made the same assertion, you would laugh them out of the room.
No I would not. That is where you are utterly mistaken and make assumptions.
WILL;
laugh them out of the room.
The laughter I hear is from people who don’t think everyone should get a vote. You do realize that the majority of Obama’s “wins” are from caucus’es that actually SHUT DOWN “1 person one vote”?
In every instance Obama has intentionally invited “republicans for a day” to vote? Bottomline is those folks don’t need encouragement. I should know having done this in the Primary of Ronald Reagan…and voted against him.
Please explain why Obama feels the need for speed when he can’t even drive at 55? Come on now, reach across the divide and admit that Emil Jones made himself a Senator and others want to “make” him a Puppet President with more strings attached than you can count. The poor Senator Obama is nothing more than the sum total of the deals Emil Jones and others like him have made.
Obama is a nothing more than a used willingly used man. Tell me exactly what community devlopment Obama has done in the 313? NO? you can’t can you?
Tell me why Rezko was involved with the real estate interests of both Obama and the son of Nation of Islam founder Elijah Muhammad? Rezko is Obama’s best buddy and Rezko has dealings the Auchi brothers?
Thats who you want for a president?
Not me! I could care less about race or gender when it comes to who I vote for POTUS, until Obama used it as a wedge issue to divide.
Hope is free, Democracy isn’t.
Here’s the problem with your statement sweet pea. It is true that they statistically are deadlocked. Although Obama won a lot of the small caucus states, Hillary Clinton won all the big states that are needed to win a general election.
Most of the small states that Barack Obama won, those small states always are won by the Republican party. THAT IS A FACT JACK!!
If this was a General Election between Clinton and Obama, Clinton would have 263 electoral college votes, and Barack Obama would have 202 electoral college votes. You need 267 to win. That means when Hillary Clinton wins Pennsylvania, she would technically be the winner of a General Election contest between Obama and herself.
That is something the Superdelegates will take into consideration when they endorse one of the candidates. I BET THAT MAKES SENSE TO YOU DOES’NT IT? If Hillary Clinton stepped down right now, then Geoege Bush should just hand the keys to White House to John McCain.
NO THANK YOU. Thank God the race for the Democratic nominee continues!!
Hillary Clinton 2008
“If Hillary were ahead by the same margins, and Obama’s campaign made the same assertion, you would laugh them out of the room.”
Total bs, and you know it. If Hillary had failed to win any major states and was countering “I won Alaska” when she’d lost California, and if her wins were in caususes and she was actually claiming she could turn Wyoming blue, she’d be laughed out of the room. IF SHE WERE SUPPORTING THE DISENFRANCHISEMENT OF STATES, she’d be pilloried the likes of which we’ve never seen, even without makiing ‘new Politics’ the hypocritical center of her campaign. If she were in Obama’s place, ALL we’d hear is this is ridiculous, she can’t win, this shows the insanity of the process, the superdelegates need to ensure a viable nominee, they need to switch to a winner-take-all, they have to do something. She can’t win a state that matters, the caucuses are full of irregularities, and Republicans are trying to choose the Democratic nominee. The blaring, ubiquitous message would be, ’something must be done.’ And they’d be right. And anybody who sugggested Obama should drop out, when he’s won every state that mattered, neither of them had enough delegates to win outright, and she was ahead by ’such stunning margins’ (60 delegates? 80?) on top of the mighty Alaska victory would be laughed out of the room, as well as accused of racism, and you know it. If Obama was in this position with Edwards, or any two men were in this position (and yes, I’m a guy), no one would make this case with a straight face, it would be understood that the process needs to play out. And if they made it once, they’d be laughed at and it would never be repeated.
Peter, you forget to write that Senator Obama broke the rules by campaigning in Florida and Michigan and should be called out on it! Even though his campaigning was filtered in via cable news networks, his campaign fully knew the Florida market was in their target group! In Michigan, he sent out mailers for people to vote Unknown, to block Hillary capturing the vote there, that is campaigning, and yet no one calls Obama out on it or the DNP and especially Dean who claims to live by the rules are the rules!
Call out Dean on it, demand Fla and Mich stand, since the only candidate to campaign in those states was Obama and live with the outcome since Obama snuck in the advantage of campaigning there AGAINST DNP rules!
opps forgot to sign off…lol
