Obama’s top defense adviser on Jews, and Rev. Wright’s Support of Hamas

080322_mcpeak_obama.jpgGen. Tony McPeak, Obama’s top military adviser, was interviewed by a newspaper about the Israeli/Palestinian peace process:

The interviewer asked McPeak: “So where’s the problem? State? White House?”

McPeak replied: “New York City. Miami. We have a large vote — vote, here in favor of Israel. And no politician wants to run against it.”

Translation (as if it’s needed): Jews — who put Israel over every American interest — control America’s policy on the Middle East. And McPeak has the audacity to accuse Bill Clinton of McCarthyism.

For more on Gen. McPeak, read Larry Johnson’s post, “Senator Obama, Have You No Decency?” [The photo above comes from Saturday's rally in Medford, Oregon. Larry quotes from their speeches at that rally.]

Below, “Obama church published Hamas terror manifesto: Compares charter calling for murder of Jews to Declaration of Independence,” along with the PDF of the actual Obama church bulletin:

More:

Sen. Barack Obama’s Chicago church reprinted a manifesto by Hamas that defended terrorism as legitimate resistance, refused to recognize the right of Israel to exist and compared the terror group’s official charter – which calls for the murder of Jews – to America’s Declaration of Independence.

The Hamas piece was published on the “Pastor’s Page” of the Trinity United Church of Christ newsletter reserved for Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., whose anti-American, anti-Israel remarks landed Obama in hot water, prompting the presidential candidate to deliver a major race speech earlier this week.

Yet more:

The revelation follows a recent WND article quoting Israeli security officials who expressed “concern” about Robert Malley, an adviser to Obama who has advocated negotiations with Hamas and providing international assistance to the terrorist group.

In his July 22, 2007, church bulletin, Wright reprinted an article by Mousa Abu Marzook, identified in the newsletter as a “deputy of the political bureau of Hamas.” A photo image of the newsletter was captured and posted today by the business blog BizzyBlog. The Hamas piece was first published by the Los Angeles Times, garnering the newspaper much criticism.

According to senior Israeli security officials, Marzook, who resides in Syria alongside Hamas chieftain Khaled Meshaal, is considered the “brains” behind Hamas, designing much of the terror group’s policies and ideology. Israel possesses what it says is a large volume of specific evidence that Marzook has been directly involved in calling for or planning scores of Hamas terrorist offensives, including deadly suicide bombings. He was also accused of attempting to set up a Hamas network in the U.S.

He tried to set up a Hamas network in the U.S. Yet, Obama’s pastor for 20 years thinks so highly of him that he posts his writings in the CHURCH BULLETIN? I hardly know what to say.

NOTE: I have uploaded the actual church bulletin: tuccbulletin_july22.pdf

The “Pastor’s Page” (Jeremiah Wright’s page) features this: “A FRESH VIEW OF THE PALESTINIAN STRUGGLE,” written by Mousa Abu Marzook.

Susan,

There is more in the June 10, 2007 church bulletin where the pastor’s page published an open letter from an Arab-American activist Ali Baghdadi that suggested that Isreal is developing an “ethnic bomb” against blacks and Arabs.

Israeli’s are already worried that Obama will demonstrate his touted ‘empathy’ overseas without regard for consequences, and I think his church affiliation would make him a weaker president than Hillary, who has proven her credentials, partly by risking her political future through voting for K-L which was a signal to the Israelis that she takes their Iran worries seriously and which also paved the way for the recent UN backed sanctions against Iran. His church may make him less trusted by the Israelis to broker peace, while Hillary will be well placed to bring the two sides together to forge a plan each could live with and that would bring prosperity to both sides. There was a time that the region was working toward peace, that before Bush time. But Israelis worry that their security won’t be seen as important and there needs to be trust for peace goals to be reached, trust from both sides.

How about Obama sitting in fundraisers with Edward Said and Abunimah :

Ali Abunimah is a well-known Chicago-based activist for Palestinian causes. He has a harshly anti-Israel attitude. He has also written that he had met Obama about half a dozen times at various Palestinian and Arab-American events, including a May 1998 community fundraiser at which the late Edward Said was the keynote speaker (there is a photo of Said with Senator Obama and his wife).

Edward Said was a severe critic of Israel; he developed a school of study about the Middle East based on denunciation of so-called “Orientalism” that has influenced many Middle Eastern professors to take an anti-Israel view. The entire field of Middle Eastern studies has been so corrupted that Congress has raised an alarm about federal funding going to professors with an anti-American, anti-Israel agenda. These are the ideological heirs of Edward Said.

Abunimah recently wrote an article critical of Obama’s very recent and somewhat lukewarm outreach to the Israel’s supporters. He wrote that years ago Obama had been forthright in his criticism of American foreign policy and had called for an even-handed approach to the Palestinian-Israel conflict. But Abunimah detected a change as Obama began his Senate run. He met Obama at an event that occurred in the midst of the Senator’s primary campaign for Senate. Abunimah writes,

Obama said, “Hey, I’m sorry I haven’t said more about Palestine right now, but we are in a tough primary race. I’m hoping when things calm down I can be more up front.” He referred to my activism, including columns I was contributing to the Chicago Tribune critical of Israeli and US policy, “Keep up the good work!”

http://www.americanthinker.com/2007/03/barack_obama_and_israel_1.html

From the same article:

Moreover, Pastor Wright has beliefs that might disturb some of Obama’s supporters. He is a believer in “liberation theology,” which makes the liberation of the oppressed a paramount virtue. The language of liberation all too often veers off into anti-Jewish rants. For example, one of the founders of the movement, Gustavo Gutierrez, has stated that the infidelities of the Jewish people made the Old Covenant [between the Jews and God] invalid.” Pastor Wright is also a supporter of Louis Farrakhan, and in 1984 traveled with him to visit Col. Muammar al-Gadaffi, an archenemy of Israel’s and America and a firm supporter of terror groups.

Wright has also been a severe critic of Israel.

Comment by yttik | 2008-03-25 17:36:51

Yes, I’m hearing that too. Hillary is responsible for sending Goolsbee up to Canada to reasure them that Obama is just pandering to voters by critisizing Nafta. Then Hillary forced Obama to have a 20 year relationship with Rev Wright. I’m sure she’s to blame for Rezko, too.

In fact, she’s probably pre-emptively to blame for Obama loosing to McCain, should he be the nominee. I’ve taken on some lost causes before, but I wouldn’t bet a dime on Obama being able to beat McCain, not with all the skeleton’s in his closet.

So he is 50% there. Scary stuff.

How many ways does this disgust me? Let me count the ways.

1. Obama cannot work towards peace in the middle-east because I do not believe (based on his the people and church he affiliates himself with and who inform his opinions) he truly respects the right of Israel to live within secure borders (regardless of his recent statement to the contrary which was made when it as politically necessary) or to defend itself from attacks by katyusha rockets or suicide bombers. He needs to have the trust of both sides.

2. Apparently - “post-racial” only applies to black/white issues. Stereotypes are appropriate for everyone else. All Jews do not live in NYC or Miami, not all Jews have the same opinion regarding how to resolve the Israel/Palestine issue (hell, no two Jews have the same opinion on anything - and I speak as one; and how dare McPeak challenge my or any other Jewish-American’s patriotism. What a hypoocrite he is!

Trouble is Obama din’t say it. He’s a sphinx.
His peeps do all the jawing.

Comment by S. Markom | 2008-03-25 21:00:10

Very well said.

Since we do not know who Obama is we then have to look at his background and who he surrounds himself with.

I had noticed early on that Obama had surrounded himself with the most anti-Israel policy experts one could find including Samantha Powers. To me that was very disturbing and was all the indication I needed that should Obama be elected we would have the most anti-Israel President since Israel was created.

Add to that his unflinching support for the hate-monger Pastor. Not one time has Obama specifically castigated this Pastor for his open bias and hatred of Israel.

Should Obama become President I have no doubt that his policies would result in the worst regional war Israel has faced to date and would threaten Israel’s very existence.

I absolutely agree with you that not all Jews are in lock step over Israeli policy, but no one should doubt about the unity over its right to exists and survival.

I am one more added to your list of Jews. But I would add that any Jew who would vote for Obama is either completely uninformed or has turned their back on their faith and Israel completely.

ZOA: Barak Obama Should Quit His Racist, Anti-White, Anti-U.S., Anti-Israel Church, and Repudiate Pastor Jeremiah Wright

March 18, 2008
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) has called upon Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) to quit his racist, anti-American, anti-Israel church and repudiate his pastor, Jeremiah Wright. The ZOA has issued this call following disturbing revelations across the national media regarding Pastor Wright and his Trinity United Church of Christ. Wright has delivered sermons and speeches saying we should ask that G-d Damn America, blamed America for intentionally creating the drug problem, for killing innocent people, for supporting Israeli “state terrorism against Palestinians,” for being responsible for causing 9-11, for being white supremacists and racists, for supporting Israel shamelessly, for creating the AIDS virus, for intentionally keeping people in poverty; and also urged businesses and universities to divest from Israel. Rev. Wright met with terrorist leader Quaddafi of Libya on a trip with racist Louis Farrakhan that was illegal under US law. Also, his Church honored Nation of Islam black supremacist and outspoken anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan, who has said that “Judaism is a gutter religion,” that “Hitler was a very great man” and that “white people are potential humans, they haven’t evolved yet.” Nevertheless, the Trinity United Church and Wright’s successor as pastor, Rev. Otis Moss III, have issued a statement defending and praising Wright, while completely ignoring Wright’s horrific statements.

Statements made by Rev. Jeremiah Wright:

· “The government gives them drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing, ‘God bless America? No, no, no, God damn America that’s in the bible for killing innocent people, God damn America for treating its citizens as less than human” (2003 sermon, quoted in Brian Ross & Rehab El-Buri, ‘Obama’s pastor: God damn America, U.S. to blame for 9/11,’ abcnews.go.com, March 13, 2008; viewable at ‘Barack Obama Pastor Jeremiah Wright NEW TAPES!!!!,’ Youtube, March 15, 2008).

· “We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon and we never batted an eye. We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant that the stuff we have done is now brought back into our front yards. America’s chickens are coming home to roost” (2003 sermon, quoted in Brian Ross & Rehab El-Buri, ‘Obama’s pastor: God damn America, U.S. to blame for 9/11,’ abcnews.go.com, March 13, 2008).

· “Barack Obama knows what it means to be a black man living in a country and a culture controlled by rich white people Jesus was a poor black man who lived in a country and lived in a culture that was controlled by rich white people. The Romans were rich, the Romans were Italians, which means they were European, which means they were white, and the Romans ran everything in Jesus’ country… He doesn’t fit the model. He ain’t white, he ain’t rich, and he ain’t privileged …” (Newsmax.com, viewable at ‘Obama living in a Country Controlled by Rich White People’).

· “America is still the No. 1 killer in the world. . . . We are deeply involved in the importing of drugs, the exporting of guns, and the training of professional killers . . . We bombed Cambodia, Iraq and Nicaragua, killing women and children while trying to get public opinion turned against Castro and Ghadhafi . . . We put [Nelson] Mandela in prison and supported apartheid the whole 27 years he was there. We believe in white supremacy and black inferiority and believe it more than we believe in God.” (Howard University address, quoted in Ronald Kessler, ‘Obama and the Minister,’ Wall Street Journal, March 14, 2008).

· “Racism is alive and well. Racism is how this country was founded and how this country is still run” (Howard University address, quoted in Ronald Kessler, ‘Obama Minister’s Hatred of America,’Newsmax.com, March 14, 2008).

· “We supported Zionism shamelessly while ignoring the Palestinians and branding anybody who spoke out against it as being anti-Semitic. . . . We care nothing about human life if the end justifies the means. . . .” (Quoted in Ronald Kessler, ‘Obama and the Minister,’ Wall Street Journal, March 14, 2008).

· “We started the AIDS virus . . . We are only able to maintain our level of living by making sure that Third World people live in grinding poverty. . . .” (Quoted in Ronald Kessler, ‘Obama and the Minister,’ Wall Street Journal, March 14, 2008).

· “The Israelis have illegally occupied Palestinian territories for almost 40 years now. It took a divestment campaign to wake the business community up concerning the South Africa issue. Divestment has now hit the table again as a strategy to wake the business community up and to wake Americans up concerning the injustice and the racism under which the Palestinians have lived because of Zionism” (Quoted in Jim Davis, ‘Obama’s Church: Cauldron of Division,’ Newsmax.com, August 9, 2007).

· Wright posted the flowing tutorial: Q: How many UN resolutions did Israel violate by 1992? A: 65 Q: How many UN resolutions on Israel did the US veto between 1977 and 1990? A: 30+ Q: Has Israel ever allowed UN weapons inspectors? A: NO. Q: Is Israel illegally occupying Palestinian land? A: Yes.”

· Wright’s church website: “Our racist competitive society” ; disavows the pursuit of “middleclassness,” defined as a way for America to “snare” blacks rather than “killing them off” or “placing them in concentration camps.”

· On black supremacist anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan, upon whom Wright’s Trinity Church conferred in 2007 a Lifetime Achievement Award, Wright said n the church’s magazine, Trumpet: “His depth on analysis [sic] when it comes to the racial ills of this nation is astounding and eye-opening … He brings a perspective that is helpful and honest” (Quoted in Ronald Kessler, ‘Obama and the Minister,’ Wall Street Journal, March 14, 2008).

· [Paraphrasing the alleged beliefs of white Americans] “We believe God sanctioned the rape and robbery of an entire continent, we believe God ordained African slavery, we believe God makes Europeans superior to Africans and superior to everyone else” (’Barack Obama Pastor Jeremiah Wright NEW TAPES!!!!,’ Youtube, March 15, 2008).

· “When [Obama's] enemies find out that in 1984 I went to Tripoli” to visit Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi with Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, “a lot of his Jewish support will dry up quicker than a snowball in hell” (Quoted in Ronald Kessler, ‘Obama Attended Hate America Sermon,’ Newsmax.com, March 16, 2008). [Visiting Libya in 1984 was illegal under U.S. law]

ZOA National President Morton A. Klein said, “We are shocked and angered by the racist and vicious and hateful sermons by Barack Obama’s pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright. We are worried about what influence Wright’s anti-US, anti-Israel, racist hate speech has had on Obama. Obama has attended Wright’s church for 20 years. He refers to Rev. Wright as his spiritual mentor and advisor, moral compass, and sounding board. Rev. Wright presided over Obama’s marriage and baptized his two children. Despite these speeches, Obama said, ‘Michelle and I look forward to continuing a relationship with a church that has done so much good.’

“In a recent speech Barack Obama said to the audience where Rev. Wright was present, ‘Give me a special shout out for my Pastor, Rev. Wright counsels me, puts up with me, is a friend, a great leader – give an extraordinary hand to my Pastor.’ Then joking to Wright, ‘You’re wearing a suit today.’

“The relationship is clearly very close, and obviously, after 20 years Obama had to know about his Pastor’s horrific sermons. That was well known to many in Chicago outside of church members. Even if he hadn’t heard the sermons himself, Obama’s friends and associates in the church must have informed him. Of course, Obama was aware of the Farrakhan award. Did he speak to Wright about this, did he plead with him to change his views? Or did Wright change Obama’s views?

“There are many troubling examples of Wright’s possible influence on Obama. Ed Lasky of AmericanThinker.com wrote that Ali Abunimah is a well-known Chicago-based staunch advocate for Palestinian causes. He operates a website called Electronic intifada. Abunimah is a merciless critic of Israel who supports a one-state solution, meaning no Jewish state. He has written that he had met Obama about half a dozen times at various Palestinian and Arab-American events, including a May 1998 community fundraiser at which the late anti-Israel critic Edward Said was the keynote speaker (there is a photo of Said with Senator Obama and his wife.)

“Abunimah recently wrote an article critical of Obama’s very recent and somewhat lukewarm outreach to Israel’s supporters.

“’Obama said, “Hey, I’m sorry I haven’t said more about Palestine right now, but we are in a tough primary race. I’m hoping when things calm down I can be more up front.” He referred to my activism, including columns I was contributing to the Chicago Tribune critical of Israeli and US policy. “Keep up the good work.’”

“His wife’s recent words also show a possible Wright influence when she said that only for the first time in her life, she feels proud of America.

“If I were a member of a synagogue whose rabbi praised David Duke and condemned African-Americans, I wouldn’t wait for the second sermon – I would quit immediately in shame and horror – no matter what other good things the synagogue may be doing. I would also condemn the Rabbi. I’m sure the entire Jewish community would as well.

“Yet, Obama, in a major speech yesterday in Philadelphia, discussed his ‘disagreements’ with many of Rev. Wright’s views saying, ‘I’m sure many of you have heard remarks from your pastors, priests or rabbis with which you strongly disagreed.’ This insults the overwhelming majority of religious leaders who would never make the kind of hateful remarks Wright has made on numerous occasions. Obama also essentially excused and rationalized Wright’s sermons against whites and America by saying ‘for the men and women of Wright’s generation, the memories of humiliation and doubt and fear have not gone away, nor has the anger and bitterness of those years.’

“Over a year ago, Obama made clear he knew of the Wright problem when he rescinds his invitation to Wright to give an invocation because his sermons can get ‘kind of rough.’ Obama should have resigned then.

“Barack Obama said he would have quit his church had such statements been ‘the repeated tenor of the church. I wouldn’t feel comfortable there.’ Obama also admits that he heard one or two of these lectures. A journalist recently wrote he saw Obama at one of these lectures.

“Now that Obama knows, unequivocally, the large number of hateful speeches that Rev. Wright delivered, we urge Barack Obama to immediately quit his racist, anti-American and anti-Israel church and repudiate the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. That would send a powerful message that Barack Obama does not and will not tolerate hate promoted by anyone.

PS: (Obama excuses some of Wright’s statements by saying, “Wright was a child of the 60’s.” In fact, Rev. Jeremiah Wright went to high school in Philadelphia from 1955 to 1959. The high school he attended was my own alma mater, Central High School. Central, the second oldest public high school in the country, was a magnet school attracting the elite, most serious academic students in the city. The school was 80% Jewish and 95% white. My experience was that the African-American students were treated with the same respect as the white students. The African-American students loved Central as much as the white students did. Many of them come to Central’s reunions. Also, it is interesting to note that Rev. Wright’s father was a prominent pastor and his mother was a teacher and later vice-principal of the Philadelphia High School for Girls, also a distinguished academic high school.)”

Mary Jo,

Wright is right. Jews will abandon Obama in droves knowing what e now know about (1) his unyielding support of this bigot and (2) the nature of his closest foreign policy people and their opposition to Israel.

The Jewish vote has been a mainstay for Democrats since FDR. But an Obama candidacy may see Jews moving to Republicans in large numbers.

This bigot and racist Wright seems to have disappeared while he builds his million dollar home. He hates Jews. He hates White People. He even distinguishes them by ethnicity. Garlic Noses. He’s waiting. He’s waiting to Take Charge with his buddy Farrakhan. They are waiting to bring us blood in the streets. They are waiting to reverse the gun fire in the middle East. May they both wait till they rot.

God Damn HIM, not America

OBAMA DROP OUT NOW!

Simply amazing.

By that I mean the DNC and party bosses tolerating the train wreck that is the Obama express. They can’t even see that the GOP is going to take the lot of them down because of Obama.

First Obama hacks off working class whites and most old school Democrats with that batshit crazy and bigoted pastor of his. Say bye bye to the mid-west, the south and most industrial states.

Then he freaks out the Jewish community by unleashing Skeletor and as more revelations about his pastor ties to the anti-semitic NOI and Hamas.

Lets not forget Rezko and his ties which are getting increasing scary.

And the Obamabots have the nerve to demand Hillary quit the race so as to let a crook and fool like Obama take the nomination. Are they that stupid, that out of touch with reality, that they think their tin plated song and dance man is going to wow the nation with “change we can believe in” crappola?

Gimme a break

My head just literally exploded listening to Rachel Maddow win some kind of award in achieving straight-faced inconsistency. Maddow isn’t satisfied being inconsistent from one day to the next; she’s inconsistent from one SENTENCE to the next.

Someone please unwrap this for me: Maddow trashes Hillary for saying that the delegates should be free to vote for whoever they want (an idea pushed very hard by famous machine politician and right-wing fascist Teddy Kennedy in 1980) at the convention- “WHAT? They are PLEDGED! How can THAT be fair?”

Moments later, Maddow endorses Phil Bresenden’s idea of having a “Super Delegate Primary” before the convention in which they all decide who they are going to vote for- um,, excuse me, but didn’t a lot of these Superdelegates already PLEDGE themselves to support a candidate? But that’s ok- they can toss aside those pledges if they want to?

Not to mention that Maddow’s hatred of Democracy- you know, that annoying “letting the people’s voices be heard” crap- when it comes to Michigan, Florida (”can you imagine how much it would have COST to have do-overs? We need that money in the fall against John McCain!”) and Pennsyvlania (”that primary will mean NOTHING”) and all the other states (”all the remaining contests will have NO EFFECT, so WHY BOTHER???”)

I bought XM radio for Air America. If that channel vanished tomorrow, I wouldn’t shed a single tear. Because Maddow, Rhodes and the other hosts just hate Democracy when the votes don’t go the way of their favorite candidate. Just plain gross.

Air America…bullet meet foot.

XM radio merged with Sirrus, so now there is only one sat radio? Who is minding the store?

neo progressive is code for “As long as it’s me who is progressing” Can’t wait till one of them becomes a senator.

Susan, thanks so much for publishing that. Here are some other items of interest that seem part of a larger pattern:

Though you mentioned the church bulletin from July 22, there was also something
amazing on June 10, starting on page 8, that should pique your interest:

Oh, and here’s something about that Hamas thing:

Senator Obama: I have already condemned …

my former pastor’s views on Israel in the strongest possible terms, and I certainly wasn’t in church when that outrageously wrong Los Angeles Times piece was re-printed in the bulletin,” Obama said in a statement e-mailed to JTA late Thursday.

I know it’s a scrap. and it would be easy to add a,b,c,d,e,

Why then did he contribute money to a church who’s former pastor he has condemned. How do you condemn a man you have known for 20 years and who is your “spirtual advisor”?

Comment by ybnormal | 2008-03-25 20:25:45

Nobama, funny you should mention the June 10 bulletin.

page 12 starts with, “One by one, Senator Barack Obama is passing the necessary tests for national leadership.”,
which would seem to explain the interest by IRS lately

And now we hear Obama is surprised somehow about this church’s stated “op-eds”? I’ll bet dollars to dimes he downloads a copy every week, just to see if he’s being written about.

Comment by ybnormal | 2008-03-25 20:30:29

In all fairness though, the Palestinian’s letter to Oprah on page 8 is rather touching.

Comment by simon | 2008-03-25 21:13:05

I agree Obama will not be fair in his treatment of Israel.

On another site, someone phrased Obama’s association with Wright, and the black panthers, as his association with “black extremist groups.”

This is an accurate frame.

WTH were Pelosi and Dean thinking?

There is no way out. To claim ignorance is to show an appalling lack of judgement,to know of Obama’s ties and past, and STILL support him, is to be weak, and cynically corrupt.

And still reveals an appalling lack of judgement.

So…uh…does this mean the end of the Obama/Lieberman buddyship?

Holy Crap, a 40 page bulletin! Does this place own a paper mill?

I’m just kind of wondering, how one would explain the Hamas’ Stand on page 10 in combination with the Isaiah quotes on page 40; prefaced by, “God is a God of redemption and not a God of condemnation.” while asking God to damn America?

(Amusing - on page 14, ALL the pastor’s pupils got A+ that day)

The bigger point; can you spell G-O-P R-A-W M-E-A-T?

Translation (as if it’s needed): Jews — who put Israel over every American interest — control America’s policy on the Middle East.

Correct me if I’m wrong but aren’t the majority of Neo-Cons, Jews…? - so in fact I would say Neo-Cons for sure control our Policy as it relates to the Middle East. I would say Republicans and Democrats suck up to Israel way to much - but no one dares say that.

Mitchman: you are a fool and an anti-Semite: you disgust like a filthy sewer rat.

You have no idea what the majority of neo-cons are (if you have conducted a scientific statistical analysis please show it). Second Middle East Policy is not owned by “Neo-Cons” (whatever you meant by that) current administration notwithstanding.

Susan, this is an incredible post…

Guys let’s all email it to the DNC and to ABC, PBS, wherever. We need to bombard them with this post.

I do not believe (I refuse to believe) the majority of voters can stomach anti-semitism.

Come on, let’s do something, this needs to get out NOW.

Comment by simon | 2008-03-25 20:46:38

was this junk from Hamas
in the LAT ?

An educated populace is an infomred populace, capable of making good choices.

The LA Times, as opposed to Wright, did not endorse Hamas’s methods.

But the American public is now more aware of the terrorist culture, in part, the function of a newspaper.

Wright, otoh, endorses Hamas’s methods, as a means of addressing conflict.

Comment by Andy | 2008-03-25 21:04:27

Simon,

I can see your point. I guess I was thinking that since I know most must know and so I view it as giving a platform to propaganda.

But you have a point that a newspaper function is informing populace…

Based on comments from Jewish friends, I would assert that Jews will be deserting the Party in large numbers this Fall. Obama having sat for two decades in a church that gave Farrakahn a “lifetime achievement” award is all they need to know. Jews are not large in numbers, but they are large in energy and contributions to the Party, and we cannot afford to lose them.

Comment by S. Markom | 2008-03-26 09:29:45

I am not sure about completely abandoning the party, but I do agree that we will probably vote for McCain to avoid having Obama in the White House. He is a “clear and present danger” to the
existence of Israel

However there are and will be Jews who are either uninformed or have turned their back on their faith and Israel in the belief that doing so will ingratiate them with their others. The former need to read and the latter are just cowards.

I have never been that concerned about any political candidate - R or D - until Obama.

With what we factully know about him now - his affiliations and associations - does anyone believe that he would have won those early primaries?

What’s the point of firing these people? If this man, perish the thought, were to be president, they would all have cabinet positions. Instead, America should be learning who he associates himself with and call for him to get out of this election for the most powerful person in the WORLD.

Obama’s ‘Dog Whistle’ Attraction to Critics of Our Israel Policy Brings Reaction From the Lobby

You remember Merrill McPeak, the tall, lean retired general and military adviser for Obama who said last week that Bill Clinton was behaving like Joe McCarthy? Well in The American Spectator, McPeak is accused of a lack of political correctness on Israel:

[In McPeak's view] American policy is the product of “religious Jews and neocons” who in McPeak’s mind are just as much to blame for a lack of peace in the Middle East as are Hamas and Hezbollah.

I’m gratified to learn this about McPeak! Sounds like he wants to get religious agendas out of our foreign policy. And the attack is interesting for 2 reasons:

Comment by Catriley | 2008-03-26 12:38:23

I think the most telling is Obama’s body language and smug smile as McPeak goes on a tear against Bill Clinton.

Obama aligns himself with the most unsavory people. You are definitely the company you keep.

Comment by JSilverheels | 2008-03-26 12:42:39

It’s ludicrous to compare Wright with McPeak.

McPeak is a patriot who told an uncomfortable truth - which Larry & Ray might agree with.

Wright is a hate-monger.
