People tend to think because you speak up for something that is wrong like racism, discrimination, etc, you are considered a racist. Black people are no longer slaves who have to agree with everything that is being stated on the news. Jesse Jackson, Sharpton, Farrakan and even Wright are not racist. They are giving their opinion of how changes should be made to give all Americans a piece of the American dream, Why are some of you so afraid of that? Roland Martin is giving a perspective that is different than the typical person who has long been given his/her views. Why is Roland Martin condemned for speaking of what he sees is right and he is called a racist, yet you see all of the FOX news staff (ultra Racist Hannity and O'Riley)constantly condemming Obama, but you consider that fair and balanced journalism. The world is changing and we need a leader who would bring representation to all Americans, not just the typical white person. I was shocked. Here was this Roland guy going on about Wright as if what he said was nothing. He rated his last showing as not so great but I thought all of what Wright was spewing was nasty and hateful, and I was shocked that Obama went there 20 years and brought his two young daughter in there to listen to such hate speech. The media wasn't asking Obama anything about it. If I had been the reporter I would be asking why he sit there that long knowing what that speech was like and when he had his daughters there did he explain that this was not he and Michelle believe in. If he did, then I would have asked why he would go there if that was the case and wouldn't it have been easier not to expose his children to all that and just have chosen another church. Then, this new Imus stuff comes on, and Roland Martin is on there putting Imus down (over nothing) and going after this mans career on air (again), while he himself has his own church pastor all in the Chicago news refering to the mayor as a SLAVE MASTER and the blacks who are supporting this white mayor as slaves or some such nonsense. What a hypocrite. Now, the media is barely covering Obamas reaction to this landmark decission on gun ban reversal. Obama is skating by as if he has never been for such a ban, or as he puts it, what's good for one area doesn't always work for other areas.HELLOOOOOO,the Chicago news is constantly showing all the shooting going on this year, and that's with a gun ban that is almost as strict as DC's. A band aid never worked for crime, it never stopped all these shooting, because it never changed the criminals at all. Then, I read that Obama isn't harsh on GANG crime like this area has been ravaged by. Wishy Washy on crime, to much sympathy for his own race in the case, when tougher measures are needed. Daley says now we need to pay more taxes (with ban going to be gone) for more police. Hey, New York isn't having these issues like they use to because they added more police. The liberal media are rarely putting black anchors out with a tougher stance on the issues. I would like to see stronger balance in that area.
