Sunday Pundit Shows & WaPo Editorial [Updated with Scaife Op-Ed]

[NOTE: Please post your opinions as well as your observations of the Sunday pundit shows in the comments below. UPDATE: The update, at the end of the story, is from an op-ed today by Richard Mellon Scaife on his observations of Hillary's courage on March 25th. More importantly, it shows how Hillary can change people's preconceptions about her when they meet her in person, converse with her, and are deeply impressed by her sense of humor and her knowledge of, and smart perceptions about, wide-ranging issues.

UPDATE II: The transformation that Scaife underwent when he met Hillary is very similar to that of Larry Johnson when he met Hillary for the first time. Larry presumed he wouldn't like her and that he'd never vote for her; instead, Larry left the meeting convinced she'd make a great president.]

I just got the report below by e-mail, from a friend, of today’s Meet The Press, where Russert apparently goes off about Hillary’s meeting on March 25th with the editorial board of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review newspaper. (On Tuesday, I posted a video clip and link to the board’s full video record and transcript.) Important: It was an editorial board interview of a candidate, just like those that other newspapers conduct. It so happens that Richard Mellon Scaife was present at the board’s interview. Why not? He owns the newspaper. Here’s my friend’s report:

Ok, I caught two minutes. Made my blood boil. Had to stop. But, Russert does the most ridiculous thing. He shows the Scaife picture, brings up all the Scaife smears, without acknowledging they are lies, then asks what is going on here. One of his guests says something about Hill has tried to mend fences with political enemies, but is there something more nefarious going on here?

Are these people for real? Jesus, he owns the Philly Tribune. It’s an editorial meeting. Not hard to connect the dots, right?

Then Russert uses that bogus poll about Hill’s approval rating [the discredited NBC poll]. And her losing to McCain, Obama winning. That’s when I had to turn it off.

On a much brighter note, the Washington Post has quite an editorial today titled, “Don’t Stop Campaigning / Why the rush to push Hillary Clinton out of the race for the nomination?”:

[...]

A time may come when someone should gracefully bow out. But their extended contest informs the electorate and serves to battle-test them both. We don’t see why the process should be short-circuited when millions of votes are yet to be cast and two qualified candidates believe themselves to be the best potential Democratic nominee.

There is no lack of excitement in the Democratic Party. States that have cast ballots have reported record turnouts. Registrations are through the roof. Just last week it was announced in Pennsylvania, which holds its primary April 22, that since November the number of registered Democrats increased by about 161,000. Altogether, Democrats now outnumber Republicans there by about 830,000. And this contest is far from over. While Mr. Obama leads Ms. Clinton in the popular vote and in the number of pledged delegates, it’s assumed that neither candidate will win the 2,024 delegates needed to secure the nomination.

One proffered justification for ending the campaign now, in fact, is the assumption that we know pretty much how everything will turn out. Ms. Clinton will win Pennsylvania, Mr. Obama will carry North Carolina and so on. But throughout this campaign, just about everything we’ve “known” has been wrong: Mr. McCain was finished, Ms. Clinton was inevitable, Mr. Obama had New Hampshire locked up. No doubt the Democrats have gotten themselves into a fix with rules that may leave the final decision to unelected superdelegates — but why is the answer to that less democracy? Why not give as many voters as possible a chance? …

The editorial cites numerous issues — from North Korea to affirmative action — that haven’t been addressed sufficiently in media reports and interviews of Sens. Obama and Clinton, and ends with this:

The list of issues to hash out is endless, and doing so in polite political combat could produce a stronger Democratic candidate for the fall and a better-informed electorate.

Read all of the editorial.

:::::::::::

I just checked, and neither the video or transcript of today’s Meet The Press is up yet. But the video will be up soon, with the transcript soon thereafter. MTP is good about getting its videos and transcripts up very quickly.

:::::::::::

UPDATE: From Richard Mellon Scaife’s op-ed today, March 30th, “Hillary, reassessed“:

Hillary Clinton walked into a Pittsburgh Tribune-Review conference room last Tuesday to meet with some of the newspaper’s editors and reporters and declared, “It was so counterintuitive, I just thought it would be fun to do.”

The room erupted in laughter. Her remark defused what could have been a confrontational meeting.

More than that, it said something about the New York senator and former first lady who hopes to be America’s next president.

[...]

The very morning that she came to the Trib, our editorial page raised questions about her campaign and criticized her on several other scores.

Reading that, a lesser politician — one less self-assured, less informed on domestic and foreign issues, less confident of her positions — might well have canceled the interview right then and there.

Sen. Clinton came to the Trib anyway and, for 90 minutes, answered questions.

Her meeting and her remarks during it changed my mind about her.

Walking into our conference room, not knowing what to expect (or even, perhaps, expecting the worst), took courage and confidence. Not many politicians have political or personal courage today, so it was refreshing to see her exhibit both.

Sen. Clinton also exhibited an impressive command of many of today’s most pressing domestic and international issues. Her answers were thoughtful, well-stated, and often dead-on.

Particularly regarding foreign policy, she identified what we consider to be the most important challenges and dangers that the next president must confront and resolve in order to guarantee our nation’s security. Those include an increasingly hostile Russia, an increasingly powerful China and increasing instability in Pakistan and South America. …

Read all of Scaife’s op-ed. (Special thanks to Andy for pointing me to Scaife’s op-ed.)

UPDATE II / SEE ALSO: Larry Johnson’s description of the transformative meeting he had with Hillary Clinton. Larry writes:

If you had asked me before my first visit in 2005 if she could be president, I would have said, “There are two ways–no way and no way in hell”.

Then read what happened when Larry, along with two experts in the Middle East, went to her Senate office and talked with her.

Donna Brazile on George Step. said that the Dem leadership has an ‘exit strategy’ for the primaries that will be put into play after June 21st, with SDs moving to BO by July 3rd to end this thing before the convention. Queen Donna says the MI and FLA dels will be seated and all worked out after the nomination is done when new rules are made by the rules cmte, oh yeah she sits on that cmte and helped ensure FLA and MI wouldn’t count back in Aug of 07, hmmmm

So the Dems have finally found an exit strategy and it isn’t for Iraq which Pelosi and Reid are tasked for, no it’s to stop our Democratic process and crown Golden Boy.

They are trying to dry up HRC funding, all they did is make me dig in more for Hill and search for another hefty donation for our ‘girl’.
These guys don’t know their axses from a hole in the ground if they think the Dem base is voting for Obama. It’s like they have some kind of imperative to lose in the GE…

And Kerry was clear that a Universal HealthCare plan is dead on arrival in the Senate, Kerry needs to go windsurfing and leave the governance to someone who knows what America needs and what the Dem platform stands for, and that someone is Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Clinton or bust for this lifelong Dem, I am done with this party if they steal this nomination, and blocking revotes in MI and FLA is theft IMHO.

I’m about to pitch in some more.

And the Obama trolls are out in force, today, you can tell, same literary voice, same targeted, patterned predictable attacks, like a card counter, you can almost tell what will turn up next.

So be aware, war by math, war by simple card counting.

I would, you know, focus on the Texas mess, and the REAL vote count, not the garbage the simple minded Carlyle democrat and republicans are trying to force down our throats.

On the plus side, OT, I made a wonderful stuffed Gouda bread loaf yesterday, and a brownie torte, with ganache, for today.

Also, a wonderful pot of fresh navy bean soup, plus a second batch of cream of potato.

And a berry blitz torte.

I’m cooking for family, they’re so busy.

Comment by Fred C. Dobbs | 2008-03-30 21:38:10

Hey, Simon: got any ideas for lentils and ham?

I can do Navy beans like a Big Dog, but lentils are Terra Incognita around here. Working hard to adapt my skills to, as they say, the “less expensive cuts,” in anticipation of a lengthy Recession.

Mmm. Pork shoulder. Yum Yum. We’re already calling it, “McCain Steak.”

Thank The Flying Spaghetti Monster for crock pots/slow cookers and my Smoker.

Remember: Barbecue is a NOUN!

Comment by SusanUnPC | 2008-03-31 01:17:37

Are you planning on eating beans for Hillary? I can do that too. Along with lots of seven-grain cereal and soy milk. Anything to help our girl get the money she needs.

Maybe we could start a “Beans For Hillary” donation drive.

BTW: MARCH 31st IS THE BIG QUARTERLY DEADLINE. IT IS IMPORTANT WE GET THOSE DONATIONS IN BY TOMORROW, if we can.

i stopped watching them in mid february. my anger level is down as a result. back when i was watching, every time i saw one of their disgusting obama infomercials (masquerading as news shows) or hillary smears, i’d go to hillary’s site and contribute. now that i’m not watching, i just look at the net articles and turn the worst of them into contribution motivation. i bet if they realized how much they motivate us to contribute to and support hillary by their disgusting behavior they’d try to at least pretend to be real journalists.

i sure miss the days when meet the press was actually a credible program, when i could watch the nightly news without screaming at the tv, and when i could read the paper without being bombarded with propaganda. those days are gone. so i watch sports and seek out news on the net. the rest of the time my shiny new hdtv is off. i bet advertisers don’t like tv’s turned off.

I am with you and so are many! One more thing that I am sick of hearing is the pundits assume that many of us Hillary Supporters will not support the Dem nominee because of our loyalty to Hillary. Well they are wrong about this Hillary supporter. Obama lost my vote based on his OWN merits and it has nothing to do with my support for Hillary!

The DNC .. Pelosi…Leahy….Kerry… Richardson … Cadsey are making a mockery of this process with their ridiculous calls for Hillary to step aside from a race that is virtually tied….and along the way, they are disenfranchising MI and FL. MI was a perfect time for Obama to stand up and stand for something other than himself …. !!!!

I am so appalled by Obama.. that if the ticket was Hillary and Obama for VP .. I would still vote for McCain! I do not want Obama anywhere near our White House. His tactics are deplorable.

This lifelong Democrat and financially support of the DNC….will be leaving the party if the succeed in stealing this nomination and blocking voters. Deplorable.

Comment by Susanclare | 2008-03-30 15:06:25

Percy-

You’ve said it perfectly. BO has EARNED my NO VOTE, too!!!

And if it comes to it, I’ll have to apologize to Hillary - cause she’s loyal to the core. But I’d be losing my integrity if I voted for BO…I guess I will be on the sidelines…for the first time in too many years to remember! That’s why I continue to fight for Hillary…and hope others will see the light before it’s too late.

so right re obama losing us all by himself. i’ve voted for all of the losers the dems have put forward, even when they weren’t the ones i wanted, but i will not vote for this one. period! i had a gnawing feeling something was wrong about him, and all evidence since then has proven he is even worse than i had thought.

i think the dnc has finally taken that one step too far and crossed the line they had only approached in the past. they think we will just go along, as we have done in the past. but once the line is crossed, it is crossed. no longer will i have any trust whatsoever in the party.

this year i vote AGAINST obama - no matter who the opposition. in future years, i evaluate candidates as individuals but give no extra credit for being a dem. if dean and the rest of the crooks are still running the party after this year, i’ll be sure to vote AGAINST whoever they put up, no matter who and no matter who the opponent.

there comes a point when one must take a stand. i’m doing it now.

Comment by Gregoryp | 2008-03-30 14:48:44

The dems killed universal health care the last time around. These people are totally repugnant. They only pay lip service to health care, women’s issues, poverty, etc. I am beginning to think that they are more cynical than the republicans. We desperately need a viable 3rd and 4th party in this country.

It also sounds like they have rigged the nomination just to prevent Hillary from winning. Why would they do that? These people are dishonest in the extreme. I really am going to work my ass off to help McCain win every state except DC. This absolutely has to be the worst drubbing in history or these asshats will never get the message. The party is corrupt to the bone. Apparently there are very few honest people in the democratic party anymore. Hillary and the other honest party members need to seriously consider leaving the party and forming a centrist party that matches the ideals of the vast majority of us Americans. I am so disgusted right now.

Comment by lifelong dem leaving party | 2008-04-01 23:57:09

Write Donna Brazile: donna@brazileassociates.com.

Who the hell do these people think they are? Isn’t this supposed to be a Democracy? I have never seen anything like it–except the build up to the war and the coronation of “W” the first time around. But the unanimity of this push for Obama. And based on what?! Look at his flimsy and unethical record! I just don’t get it. Why would they insist on such a flawed and damaged candidate and forcing the rest of the Democratic Party over a cliff with him. This constant refrain of “she has to quit” is beyond belief. I am going to PA to campaign for her–we have to fight this injustice with ACTION!! And if they try to force him on us without FL & MI having a say, it’s time for a mass PROTEST!! We need to start thinking of powerful responses to that kind of coup.

The Senate should have 56-58 Dem seats after the 2008 election… Kerry seems to be threatening that he won’t pass Hillary’s universal health care when he says it is a “non-starter”…

is he really that weak? or is he evil?

Comment by Percy | 2008-03-30 13:27:55

Everyone will unite to ensure that bitter and resentful Kerry does not get re-elected. We can make our own list of those that we will across the country will help to remove from their senate seats. Out with the old…..like their candidates mantra…and we will let the door hit you in the as*

I think he’s probably just stupid.

I wonder what Kucinich is doing these days? He might at least take the presumtive nominee to task for having surrgates say UHC is DOA.

Comment by Carson | 2008-03-30 19:02:26

I am not sure what sort of a man Kerry is, although I do believe that he is the person primarily responsible for putting Obama in the position that he is in now. Apparently, he invited Obama to speak at the 2004 Democratic Convention before Obama was even elected Senator. Such a close association can surely explain how someone with as little relevant experience (in or out of the Senate)as Obama has had such a meteoric rise (with a little help from the corporate press).

Supposedly, Kerry and Dodd both belong to the Bilderberg Group–which from all available information is a “New World Order” group dedicated to using all their illicit power to dissolve nations into a One World Government and dedicated to shaping all the common folk into a uniform mold. That is a conspiracy theory, of course, but one that seems to be born out by the facts. What better way to get people to “Group Think” than with a multiracial “inspiring orator”, or, if you prefer, a “flimflam puppet”.

I voted for Kerry in the last election without thinking too much about it because Bush was such a disaster and such a totally repugnant character. So I didn’t pay much attention to the Swiftboating attacks on Kerry. Now I’m interested, and actually checked out the book “Unfit for Command”. There is an interesting quotation from Rear Admiral Roy F. Hoffman, USN (Retired), a former Swiftboater,

“I do not believe John Kerry is fit to be commander in chief of the armed forces of the United States. This is not a political issue. It is a matter of his judgement, truthfulness, reliability, loyalty, and trust-all absolute tenets of command.”

So if Kerry is not fit, then I must conclude his surrogate, Obama, is not fit either.

of course, the real side-splitter this morning was Donna Brazille on This Week saying, “Nobody has said Hillary should get out of the race.”

seriously. I almost hurt myself laughing.

Comment by kenoshaMarge | 2008-03-30 13:39:10

Donna “loves her some Obama” Brazile needs to STFU! She pretends to be neutral while shilling for Obama like some carny. She turns my stomach! And how come she’s still on CNN shilling for Obama when Carville has had to hit the road?

The Democratic Party had better wake up and wake up real soon if they think they can pawn this kind of shell game off on the American People.

They’ve got a whole lot of angry libs out here in the real world. Angry enough to vote for McCain? Some will. I intend to write in Hillary Clinton if Obama is the nominee, vote for some worthwhile Dem candidates down ticket and that will be that. I’ll be damned if I vote for some schmuck just because he/she’s got a “D” after their name. Show me a reason, cause just being a Dem ain’t anywhere near good enough anymore. Dems now being the party willing to disenfranchise voters just like them evil Republicans are wont to do.

And they can take their “But the evil McCain b.s.” and shove it. We’re so tired of hearing about the evil “Hillary” by now that we don’t believe anything they say.

Keep thinking we’ll all come together in November you pin-headed twits. No wonder you get out maneuvered in the House and Senate all the time; you really aren’t all that bright.

Comment by salo | 2008-03-30 13:51:08

Obama can’t run on:

Florida 2000, he can’t run on Bosnia, he can’t run on Northern Ireland, he can’t run on the economy of the 1990s…you name it, he can’t run on it.

He’s got the Iraq war. Which will be the third most important item after housing and jobs.

So he’s got nothing.

McCain will pick Romney as Veep. Romney will publically be given the portfolio of Economic Czar. He will point to managing the Olympics, managing Massachusetts and the golden era of Detriot (His dad). We may even be given a preview of Mormon thrift and economy. McCain will be the Cowboy Bulldog reborn–I bet he’s still an expert rider and he will be the Security duffer.

Webb could help. He’s one of those Old Virginians but Obama will look very slight in comparison to two vets and a sharpie analytical CEO. Webb could even be used to point out how little Obama has actually done.

Of course if the press really do love Obama he’ll have nothing to worry about.

Comment by kenoshaMarge | 2008-03-30 14:32:58

Yeah, I can see where Romney bolsters up the McCain weakness on the economy.

But not to worry folks, we got hope. And unity? Stop laughing, it’s not funny. And anyway, I thought the Republican Party was supposed to be the one that was falling apart?

A decidedly pronounced shift in US policy toward Israel?

In the reality based community, the man has alliances with men who despise Israel, feel it has no right to exist even, he has alliances with men who have raised money for the sole purpose of destroying Israel.

Do people blow this off in the name of political pragmitism?

Yes, they do.

I wonder if any of these proBama folks realize that they’re going down in flames with him. David Brooks on MTP called us ‘political hacks.’ I am never buying the NYTimes again until Brooks, Rich and Dowd are gone.

Where I live will probably go for Obama. So I won’t vote. If it looks as if McCain has a shot to win my state, I will vote for him. Then, the day after election day, I am registering as an Independent. I will contribute to John Kerry’s opponent even though I don’t live in MA. Kennedy’s too old for me to concern myself about. This last stunt is going to make him historically irrelevant. He’ll just be known as the brother who didn’t get assasinated. You know the one who shot himself in the foot and was basically useless.

I want to see theses people go down in FLAMES!!!! They have ignored some very loyal constituents and I, for one am not going to take it!!! And if that means giving McCain my vote, so be it!

Comment by norrismorris | 2008-03-30 17:42:11

I have already changed [for next election in NY} to Independent after years of being a registered Democrat. The disgusting way the unleadership of the party and the “FIX” they’ve established to favor Obama against Clinton is revolting, and reveals the contempt they have for the voters of Florida and Michigan.

The whole power group in the party has revealed themselves as incompetent and corrupt hacks.

Hillary should stay as long as possible and hope she can get to the convention before the credentials committee.

This depends on voters in next three big states, etc., but the Media is complicit in throwing an election as fairness and objectivity have not been an option.

Hillary Clinton must be the strongest candidate ever. Who could take this onslaught and still make sense and project her policies and case before the people?

This kind of strength is called leadership.

If Russert wants to get his panties in a bunch over this “candidate interview” at the newspaper that Scaife Mellon owns, then I suggest he look closely at McCain vs. Bush in South Carolinia in the 2000 Primary. Why is Russert not whimpering about McCain embracing Bush now as a campaign tool when Bush and Rove tried to demoralize him viciously in South Carolina with repugnant attacks on his mental health and on his own family? Does Russert want me to look that up for him?

Comment by salo | 2008-03-30 13:41:59

Russert will attack Obama 24/7 once Clinton is out the race.

He’ll say how he was too soft of the Democratic Nominee in the primary apologize to the Republican viewers he has about the convenient lapse in judgement and then proceed to brilliantly highlight EVERY SINGLE contradiction and lie Obama has made.

He’ll go hard on the Democrats whent he time suits General Electric–but no sooner.

Comment by kenoshaMarge | 2008-03-30 14:36:56

Probably gloats over his collection of “Gotcha tapes” he intends to use on Obama if he’s the nominee. And the media, Left Blogostan and the DNC are sure doing their best to see to it that he is.

Russert was loathed by Left Blogostan until he began attacking Hillary Clinton and slobbering over Obama. Goes to show ya, all the hypocrites don’t have an “R” after their name. And they don’t only come in shades of red. Blue too?

Seated, as in free tickets to be an ‘audience for the great Orator?’

BARF!

I hope the networks and advertisers take a bath on the Convention.

I won’t be tuned in!

What do they think the voters are, chopped meat? We will decide the winner in the next 10 states. My vote in Indiana is for Hillary and today I just got two older Hoosiers to get their absentee ballots. They support Hillary, too.

Yesterday I sent in $35 for Hillary and today I’m working with the South Bend, Indiana people to get ready to open her official campaign headquarters here. We will fight to the last vote is counted, including Florida and Michigan!

You’ll like it here pammc. A lot of us are refugees from Blogs that turned on us or that turned our stomachs and we moved on. Here we feel at home and welcome.

Everyone here may not always be PC but there is a degree of honesty lacking so many other places. Pull up a seat and enjoy the conversation. It’s always lively.

At a certain point one must recognise that the NBC/ABC and CBS troika simply have it in for Clinton.

They want Obama. Maybe they think it erases their own complicity in the Iraq Invasion and see her as a scapegoat for their own failure to report on Bush. Or maybe it’s more sinister and Obama has privately promised to continue Bush’s policies (Sam Power on BBC dialing back the promise of withdrawal gave me the shivers) on the domestic and foreign policy front. Equally teh establishemtn of the party seems to want Obama for a combination of the same reasons.

So it really doesn’t matter how much you thrash around here. Richardson OPORTUNIST extraordinaire showed what’s going on behind the scenes–no wonder Carville went ballistic.

We also know they will turn on Obama something fierce because the conservatives will use their muscle to demand FAIR coverage of Obama after the kid glove treatment he’s gotten so far against Clinton. It will rather conventiently be fair to the Republicans after it’s too late for Dems to change their minds about Obama. The media machinations over next six months are crystal clear.

Obama will be turned into Eagleton or as Hanson pointed out McGovern. That is unless the media REALLY do LOVE Obama. Journalists love? lol. At least McGovern had considerable credibility as a war hero himself.

And so it goes…

They do not want Obama….they only want him to lose to McCain. McCain is their guy and they can accomplish (2) things by supporting Obama in the primary

(1) ensure an easy candidate for McCain to beat …And we all know that Obama has more luggage than Liz Taylor has taken on any of her 8 honeymoons)

and

(2) Finally destroy the Democratic party once and for all thru divide and conquer. As per usual, our less than illustrious leaders are like lambs to the slaughter because their greedy little minds, which still can fathom a GE loss, are still dreaming of all the spoils they will garner from Obama while destroying the reputation and presidential aspirations of a true patriot.

Rove just has to be laughing his axs off as our cabal of idiots in the Dem leadership fiddles odes to Golden Boy while the Dem party is breaking apart,
The ‘elites’ who I guess have been inbred to the point of stupidity, apparently live in a bubble and are clueless about the motivations and loyalties of the Democratic electorate. Most lifelong Dems were done with party loyalty after Kerry; we need a fighter, this is supposed to be the party of the working class; we want universal health care and a serious plan for foreclosures; if they dont have the blood to fight for it get the hexl out of the way of someone who knows how to win and who is fighting for our platform, that is clearly Hillary Clinton. Ive said it before and I’ll say it again-every time one of these Dem ‘elites’ opens their mouth I hear an Independent get their wings.

Every few days, Karl appears on Fox News, and lifts one of the heavy volumes he has on Obama off a shelf in his three-story library of oppo research on Obama, and gives Fox a tidbit.

It’s amazing how he has every Obama quote on everything he’s ever said. (It’s great fun to watch him and those chubby cheeks chow down on Obama.)

Comment by Gregoryp | 2008-03-30 15:28:16

That is just the thing that bugs me about Obama the most. He lies incessantly. It is like an automatic reflex for him. I’ve never seen a candidate lie as much as him. Ever. When he changed his tune on universal health care he should have just came out and said that he’s changed his mind and doesn’t believe it is workable, but he doesn’t do that. He tries to lie, mislead, obsfucate, obstruct, etc. The republicans should use all this stuff against him. It isn’t wrong to call your opposition out for being duplicitous and corrupt when in fact they are duplicitous and corrupt.

Comment by sf | 2008-03-30 16:21:53

He can’t get a whole sentence out without hemming and ahhing. This is another reason he reminds me of Bush. He doesn’t know his stuff and keep his stories straight.

Comment by TeakWoodKite | 2008-03-30 15:47:34

It will be greater fun to watch him do the “Frog March”. Justice can be delay but not forever. Still, I would be curious about how much of his library was built courtesy of the current crop of Bush intelligence contractors. If the link Mr. Murder provided of the Calvinists that are Erik Prince and company, BO is toast.

Comment by simon | 2008-03-30 15:54:39

It seems as if the same money people are behind Obama, and McCain.

In all honestly, I see McCain, the individual, has having a slice more integrity than Obama, though I won’t vote for either.

The country still has to run, and Obama’s people make Bush’s look like geniuses.

Clinton is nowhere near out of this, and that’s still the meme of the day.

Don’t buy it.

nbc already has horrible ratings. and i’ll certainly never watch them again. but some might come back if they do the right thing.

I surfed through the crap this morning looking for any channel carrying results for the TX conventions yesterday. Not a bloody thing.
The scandal that occured yesterday in Tx is a disgrace to our party and not one major news network carried any of the shenanigans perpertrated on the voters by the Obama campaign.

Thank God for NQ, where I can get the news!

I am going to conduct my own fundraiser here in PA. I am going to spend my entire day off baking and hold my own Hillary bake sale. 100% of the proceeds to Hillary!

(Last time I went on a baking binge, my daughter took orders to the tune of $250 at her college!)

Did you read the article about Hillary w/ Richard M. Scaife it is really surprisingly positive, Hillary, reassessed http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/opinion/s_559659.html
More than most modern political figures, Sen. Clinton has been criticized regularly, often harshly, by the Trib. We disagreed with many of her policies and her actions in the past. We still disagree with some of her proposals.

I just want to know why Hillary and Bill, who are supposedly the corportists, the status quo people, the “who knows what slime the Obama people attack the Clintons with”, are the ones who get slandered and attacked by the mainstream corporate media at every turn. Have you ever seen the MSM be loving, like they are with Obama, with any Democrat in your recent memory????????
Why so many progressives have fallen for the MSM ploy is beyond me!!!

General Electric owns NBC and who did Rezko attempt to screw out of millions? General Electric!

Follow the money people!

CBS owns Kings World which Owns sort of Oprah!

Follow the money!

ABC Oprah’s channel!

Again follow the money!

Comment by simon | 2008-03-30 16:02:12

Would that be the 650 million Alsammarae has been charged with stealing from the CPA, in Iraq?

The Ministry of Electricity, in Iraq, what was that, Thomas Edison’s old thing?

heh.

BTW, any of that missing money from the Pentagon?

Meaning, did the Pentagon cut money, for contracts, expecting cash to be administered, and if they did, did it go missing?

I can’t imagine they’d be too happy about it.

Comment by TeakWoodKite | 2008-03-30 18:11:18

Recent House Oversite testimony, DOD is missing 18 billion dollars.

I depends on where it is as to who is “unhappy”. eh?
