Breaking News: Hillary Is Crushing Barack in Kentucky!: “A new SurveyUSA poll in Kentucky shows Sen. Hillary Clinton crushing Sen. Barack Obama, 58% to 29%, in the closed Democratic primary to be held on May 20.” The headline reads, “SurveyUSA: Obama Not Competitive in Kentucky.”
Not competitive. He’s not even competitive. Think about that. That’s incredible. And, now, Hillary talks to you:

There you go- another self-appointed Czar of the Democratic Party who has no business telling us who to nominate, setting eighty-foot goalposts for Hillary to kick a greased football through- if she can do it, then maybeshe will have a claim on the nomination…

Someone on TM just said Nancy Pelosi was on ABC News and said the primary contest must end “NOW!” citing Hillary’s debt, blah blah blah. When will these people STFU? One day, Dean says let it play out. The next day Pelosi is on the news (again–when does she do her actual job?) pushing the opposite line. I am SO TIRED of their arrogance and dismisiveness regarding millions of voters. They are so completely out of touch.
They are deluded, again.
They simply do not understand the mechanisms of the game, on their way to another sure defeat.
To any of us who have followed Iraq, it’s like watching Bush, and Cheney, just sit back and watch them screw up, again.

Has any one here seen Wayne Barrett’s post on Huff Po about the history of the MI and FL primaries? It is long, lots of legislative manuvering stuff and leagal stuff but worth the time to read.
A short and poor summary - Essentially he says the Republicans purposefully did it aided and abetted by Dean and the DNC and some Obama supporters in those state’s legislatures.
lou dobbs’ question of today is, is the media against hillary and for obama. So far with about 500 votes it is 67-33%. vote at loudobbs.com. Also on Blitzer the other guy(not Cafferty) said that the Trib in Pittsburgh is a fringe paper and the post Gazzett is the big paper. I moved from Pittsburgh 17 years ago and it was the opposite. Is the Post Gazzett the major paper now or is the Tribune Review?
Cafferty is a pig. I vow to write Wolf Blitzer at thesituationroom@cnn.com one email every single day until that nasty Cafferty is off the air. What the hell has he ever done for anyone to be the decider???

That is a great post. You made some excellent points.
One problem with Obama’s racial posturing is that he’s provoking people to circle the wagons. He’s instigating xenophobia. He’s making things adversarial so the real racists, (not the alleged progressive ones), will come out of the wood work in droves.
He is actually causing more racial divisiveness, not less!!! Exactly one of the things that I find most offensive of him. If your not for him “your racist”. He can kiss my vote good bye unless he apologizes to both the Clintons for the “dog whistle”.
Pelosi is a HUGE disappointment as Speaker. I’ve come to expect opportunism, lack of backbone and sucking up to Bush from most other Democratic leaders in Congress, especially Hoyer and Reid. I expected better of Pelosi — I didn’t expect her to be the total tool she’s become.

What it means to “drink the Kool-Aid”.
Sometimes people refer to this as a suicide move, along the lines of Jim Jones/Guyana. I’ve heard that technically they actually drank something called Flavor-Aid. Kraft foods might want to push this point.
Meanwhile, there’s an older reference. In the early/mid 1960’s , a party group in the SF Bay area starting having LSD parties. Because LSD was initially legal, they even advertised with posters challenging people to take the ‘acid test’. The Grateful Dead (orininally the Warlocks) were the house band. Later it became popular to serve LSD in punch bowls of Kool-Aid.
A sub group of these folks calling themselves the ‘Merry Pranksters’, took a cross country LSD promotional journey in a psycadelic painted school bus which was named “Further”; claiming that LSD eliminated “neural lag” so you could exist in a state of “now”. No Shit! I ain’t makin’ this up.
Tom Wolfe chronicled the journey in “The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test”.

Hillary is going to win BIG TIME in Kentucky. I have no doubt about that. I have lots of relatives there and they LOVED Bill. Obama doesn’t stand a chance.
FF, how does Kentucky usually go in presidential elections? The general?
KY went blue in 92 and 96, but red in 00 and 04…I have a friend in Louisville (strong Clinton supporter) and she says the Obama campaign has had visibility for some time now…glad to see it hasn’t yet made a difference =)
Take out Perot, and 92 and 96 would have been very, very red.

I tend to think Lou Dobbs is somewhat racist but he does speak the truth when it comes to media bias. The videos are over at Huffington Post.
