Here is a couple of comments you can send to the DNC when they ask for money:

Let me explain I was looking at an article about how much is Elton John's
show bring in for HRC. Amazingly seems it's 2.5M 1 M more than predicted.
So (yes my fault) I'm reading TPM article

Hillary's Big Fundraiser Tonight Starring Elton John Will Bring In $2.5 Million
By Greg Sargent - April 9, 2008, 11:31AM

And here you have a sample of comments :

Comments:
-----------
Brilliant Satire Greg!

OMG!! Hillary's raising almost $2.5 million!!! Call the firetrucks she is hot, hot, hot!!!!

Obama can raise that much by clearing his throat in public.

Seriously, I don't buy the notion that you guys are biased or in the bag for one camp or another, but don't posts like this make you feel just a little bit ridiculous?

Obama farts $2.5 mil.

Now that I think of it, I think I'll send him another $50 during Elton's show.

Hey Uppity,

The DNC must have gotten my name and e-mail address from some Hillary Clinton list and had the BALLS to write to me asking if I'd write letters to my local newspaper editors to tell them what an idiot John McCain is. I clicked "unsubscribe" and this is what I wrote in the comments section:

I am not stupid and I know that the DNC is allowing the Obama campaign to fix the primaries by not doing more to include Michigan and Florida in the final popular vote count and delegate count! I know you got my name from a Hillary Clinton list and you have the "audacity of hope" that I will help you in any way. You are not helping me or Hillary Clinton, why should I help you by writing letters about John McCain? I have donated a lot of money to the Clinton campaign, and will match that money to the DNC ONLY IF you stop trying to fix the Democratic nomination!

If they had asked me for money, I would have donated more to Hillary, even though I sent her money yesterday because someone forwarded me a mean Clinton e-mail. I got mad, so I took action!

I don't recall Hillary ever promising to give BHO 50% of the MI delegates. She would be a total fool. And Hillary doesn't strike me as a fool.

Nor will I. To support a Democratic candidate that is rammed down our throats by a party that has disenfranchised voters from two states while allowing 3 other states that moved their primaries forward to do so without punishment is rewarding liars and vote thieves. I didn't approve of or support such actions from the Republicans, why on earth would I do so just because the culprits are Democrats? That would be hypocrisy of the highest magnitude.

I may not be the brightest bulb in the chandelier but I ain't all that stupid either. Reward bad behavior? I think not.

CAMODERATES letter was well written... I sent a similar one, via email, to the DNC/Dean a week ago...

I am supporting my individual candidate (Hillary Clinton and people on the local level) but I WILL NOT send any more money or do any more fundraising for the DNC. The DNC doesn't seem to represent me (as a moderate Democrat) anymore. The left wing liberals have given us a mandate that we have no other choice but to accept what they tell us. This sort of approach never worked for me. I will not accept Mr. Obama in the fall and coalesce around him like I hear so many say would happen... indeed without any misgiving, I would vote for Mr. McCain if Mr. Obama is my hand picked Democratic choice! I truely think that Dean and the DNC heads think this could never happen... I think he needs to remember 1980. The DNC said it back then too!

yikes, it is indeed ok to disagree. i disagree that we should vote for "the democrat" in november. if we simply vote for whoever the dnc and the russert/matthews clods proclaim we should, we might as well not bother having elections. i will vote for the best candidate in november, not the letter d or r next to his or her name. that means that i will vote for hillary if her name is there, else i will vote for mccain. i will never vote for obama. the d next to his name is meaningless to me, as his nomination will be the most undemocratic i have ever seen.

Here is my contribution to the cause, which I send via email, posted to tell Gov Dean what you think, and mailed to them. It probably will not make a difference but at least it made me feel better.

Dear Friend,

I understand that the DNC is behind in fundraising this year, which is unfortunate. I believe I may know why. When you disenfranchise voters and allow a portion of the party to take control and denigrate other party members the endpoint is dissatisfaction, dissention, and the closing of pocket books.

How can the DNC rectify this, it is simple: seat and give voting privileges to the delegates from Florida and Michigan before the convention and bring back respect and fairness to political discussion and media coverage. The Florida and Michigan voters and their delegates represent the best in the American tradition, non-apathetic participants that believe in our country and the importance of continually exercising our right to “one person - one vote”. These are true democrats, going to vote not when it is exciting or rewarding but as a point of principle and to support the party. Their votes should be rewarded and included in this election cycle.

I have been a democrat all my life and cherish what the party represents; however, what has occurred during this election has made me doubt the party and its leadership. I think that it may be time for you and others (e.g., Donna Brazille) that have led us into this mess to step down and until then I like many others will keep my pocketbook closed to the DNC. Do not worry I will continue to donate in ever increasing amounts to worthy candidates.

I would like to thank you for making me realize that I do not need to blindly follow party decisions and vote democratic in every election. I have seen the light that although the DNC has the ideals that I cherish, many representatives of the party do not serve these ideals. Therefore, I no longer will vote for them.

In the last two elections, many Americans voted for an inexperienced candidate that the press had labeled as approachable, likeable, and “someone you could have a beer with”. They voted based on a feeling and the belief that George W. Bush was what he said he was - a moderate who believed in “compassionate conservatism”. After eight years of this anything but moderate administration, we all know how well this has worked out for the American people and our country. I now will only vote for candidates where there is a long record of experience regardless of party.

Please do not send any more requests for party contributions until you have addressed some of my concerns.

A Disillusioned Democrat,
