"A national dialogue" re race will not work either. Living "the message of equality" is the only thing that works, and many of us out here do just that. I fortunately have a very large and diverse network of family and friends. We are an extremely "colorful" band! We are all quite amazed at race becoming a renewed topic of division, it never enters into our lives. We are everyone. We know nothing of xenophobia other than the definition and the fact that a lot of folks like to throw it out there to explain the fact that other folks simply do not like them, when the truth may be that they are just plainly unlikeable. Regarding the older ones of us, there was a time in the 60s and 70s that we were aware of inequities and literally were activists in trying to bring about equality. However, besides "working toward it", we also unequivocally lived it. That is the only resolution! If you see it as a problem in your life, or society in general, then by all means do something about. As I stated earlier, do not talk about equality and harmony, simply live it! By the way I have owned guns most all of my life and The Bible has always been involved in my life, through every phase of economic ups and downs, throughout personal financial wins and losses. I have never had to "cling" to either. I "cling" to my beliefs and those I love. The only true bitterness I feel is directed toward the DNC, various aspects of the media, and the fact that I periodically have to clean all of these guns, whether I fire them or not.
