Obama Invokes Jay-Z: “Stab the Ladies…Middle Finga To The Law”

A whole lot of fuss has been made about Obama’s possible flipping of the middle finger to Hillary in response to his treatment during Wednesday’s debate as something less than Baby Jesus. If he in fact intended to flip her off, his gesture marks a new low in a campaign that was supposedly predicated on high-mindedness.
Obama’s invocation of Jay-Z’s defiant “Dirt Off Your Shoulder” battle anthem during the same speech adds evidence to the claim that he gave Hillary the finger.

Obama’s gesture prompted a mash-up video that made the Jay-Z/Obama connection explicit. Ari Melber, the other Obamabot named Ari at The Nation, posted the video on The Nation’s website, noting, “Obama really is a Jay-Z fan, too. When asked which hip hop artists he likes in a recent interview, he said, ‘lately I’ve been listening to a lot of Jay-Z — this new American Gangster album.’”
Spencer Ackerman, another young white male media Obamaton, called Obama’s gesture “perhaps the coolest subliminal cultural reference in the history of American politics.”
So what is the hype about? What did Jay-Z actually say that captivated Barack Obama? Here is the hook and first verse to the new theme song of Obama ‘08:

Obama hasn’t flipped a “middle finga to the law” but to Hillary instead (his godfather Tony Rezko and possible financial angel Nadmi Auchi were the ones flicking off the law). He got his clock cleaned in a debate about his closest associates, his domestic policy proposals and national security credentials, but after a quick, not-so-subliminal reference to Jay-Hova, Obama’s back to “feelin’ like a pimp.”
But don’t blame Obama if you don’t like his reaction. He’s never responsible. George Stephanopoulos and ABC forced him to behave like a wannabe American gangster.

It’s all very sincere, not scripted at all.

It is unbelievable that there are videos of Obama saying the same speech in front of 2 separate audiences. At the same point in EACH speech, he takes his middle finger and pretends to scratch his nose. It is at the point where he says “Hillay is in her element”. I have seen this gesture before. The audience understands what he has done. They are in on the joke. Their response is inappropriate if they don’t get the gesture. Like I said, there are 2 separate videos with 2 separate audiences. The speech was pre written as they are identical. I was very confused by all the different camera angles, especially the mydd video vs. the others. There was some distance between Obama and the audience behind him, but I think they looked a lot closer on camera. Playing the videos at the same time in separate windows, however, the audio seemed to be the same so I think it was just the one event.

I have a hard time believing every “uhm” and pause, and all audience reactions could be “scripted” for two different events. Open the videos in different tabs on your browser, pause them at the same place, and then play both… Same speech, folks.

I am a die hard Hillary fan, but this is just silly. Lets stick the issues please. We win on every one of them (healthcare in particular and most importantly). Lets make our case on that basis and forget this nonsense. Hillary doesn’t need to hind behind trash to shine, and niether do we.

It isn’t the fault of Hillary supporters that this is the kind of story the media likes. Don’t know if you noticed, but most reporters are intellectually lazy. TV is news is vapid by its nature. Go “fingergate” GO! Do what real news can not!
We are only opening ourselves up for more faux charges of racisim. We are going to go on the attack re: non-issues that at least we can try to get air time for the outright lies he told in the debate. I really believe this will blow up in our face (no matter how unfair it is we need to be smart and deal with reality).
Yeah…..Everything is gettin kinda tribal. I think alot of it just frustration because the media has been biased for so long and it’s hard not to get caught up in this shit. Truth is lettin off steam is one of the reasons I’ve enjoyed this blog and there are folks here that make me laugh. I don’t want to be too PC, but I also don’t want to get too carried away.

But, my issue with the video is the arm action he did. Before I even read the comments, I was offended. I’ve seen the arm action before and it doesn’t mean stab to me.
I am not saying that people don’t have the right to be offended. And I can only speak from my own experience. When I fight with folks about the issues, they will (usually) concede that Hillary has the better ideas and policy. But the minute they have any hook to attack Hillary (especially on the race issue) people no longer care. They feel entitled to bash her in the name of racial justice. I know this is nonsense (I am a black woman strongly for Hillary and was furious when we got trashed over SC and Ferroro.) There is no way to “win” the race argument. But we can win by pointing out how phony BO is, and how many lies he’s told and how his health care policy is not really progressive.

I don’t consider myself a racist, I do my best to strive to be aware of my bias, my own cultural upbringings, to be fair. I despise elitism of any sort, esp as I see those with the least to offer feasting off false notions of superiority.
So, I have truth, here, and for me, well, I can take that hit, a bunch of stupid people using that old racism chestnut to bolster and camouflage a terrorist associating politician.
It’s about so much more than Barry, why would I allow liars to dictate?
In the end, though, the black community will be hurt by Barry, he has already stolen money from poor AA’s, and now he is stealing credibility, and political leverage.
And THAT is a crime, too.
It’s the man’s pattern, Barry will set back AA politicans 100 years, when this is over.
Sorry, I should have been more clear. What I meant is that we cannot “win” in the current political environment at this time. I guess it depends on what is most important to people now. For me it is getting Hillary elected and finding the best way to do it, not to fight counter productive PC/racial wars. The last thing Hillary needs is for the Obombats to whip people up into a frenzy because we are attacking “black hip hop culture.”
But aren’t the hip hop people already voting for Obama? He can whip them up himself. Maybe that’s what he was doing.

Actually, Jocelyn, to worry about that issue is to be blackmailed by spoiled, stupid children.
Hip hop culture is empty, and not controlled by the boys who ascribe to it. It was, IMO, a set up. Bullets, and violence are real, but they move both ways. The suburban white boys forget they don’t fight in a vacuum, they are no more than cowardly Cheneys, who only attack when they’re SURE the US can’t lose. And under his VP, it did. They’re really all no more than Private first class K@@.
Secondly, speaking of code, the use of this flatulent balloon, hip hop, is , IMO, being used by the bama to covertly threaten Clinton.
Sugary white frosting on a cake is not a threat, esp when someone else made the frosting for you, and you’re too stupid to understand.

Used as a metaphor, bama is attacking with hip hop, again, when he should be defending hip hop.
But he’s too stupid to understand the abstract.
