If you could find 30-75,000 Americans who could and would actually do any real work out in the sunshine, it would be a JIM DANDY place for a WPA REDUX. But if the dollar rebounds (interest rates go higher) how will we unload all that real estate inventory? Fifty years ago almost everything moved by rail transport and was trucked locally. It is not inherently unworkable unless employee benefit requirements of the additional handlers add more than the fuel savings.
