This was well put. Does it matter that it might not pass? Someone is fooken TRYING!!! It reminds me of when Kerry said UHC is a no starter…so what? You just sit there then?? Hill is also trying to show Bo how it’s done….but he won’t learn! saying but it’s bad because economists says it is, just under lines his elitism over and over! DUH.

No one put him in charge but Obama has said that he supported the gas tax in IL and it was a failure - did not achieve anything positive there and will not do so now. Every Economist who had a word to say on this said it is pandering and not going to make a positive dent. But then Hillary says she doesn’t pay attention to Economists anyway.

Hi Kevin.

In my post, I argued that the gas-tax holiday is more of a political issue than a policy issue, because the chances of passage are so low.

My main contention is that McCain forced the Dems to take a stand on the issue, and (politically) Hillary was right to counter McCain with her own proposal. I wish Obama had done the same.

What I love most is that that he was for it before he was against it! I swear somebody has to find pictures of him wind surfing!

I just heard him talk about how little the gas tax would save people. At least Hillary has EMPATHY for people who struggle for every penny they earn.
