For a troll we have gotten fond of you, sorta like a boil that you get used to.

First of all - there is a FEDERAL tax on each gallon of gasolene sold in this country in EVERY state. Then states add a tax on top of it - that is why you get such a wide range between prices state to state.

Has nothing to do with sales tax - it is a separate tax. Some states, like NH use the proceeds from that tax for designated road maintenance. Other states put the money collected into their general funds - that too varies state by state.

Listen Rob - you have no idea how angry we are. I’ll be calling the NC Governor tomorrow about Obama’s people handing out sample ballots with that part blocked out and his name filled in. There should be a full recount with all those “sample ballots” thrown out.

I work for the State, so there are a whole lot of Coloradans who haven’t had a decent raise for years. A lot of state employees make less than I do. And I have been consistently rated a top performer so I got the biggest raise percentage the state gives out.

Thousands of State employees have had to drop health insurance on their children. These kids are not eligible for SCHIP because their parents work for the state, so when we drop our insurance, our children have no net to fall back on.

I know families whop live on 1/4 of my income. I have no idea how they survive. It really pisses me off to hear anyone tell the poor to just tighten up their belts a little more.
