There was no rule that stated the candidates needed to remove their names from the ballot. That was a political blunder by Barack Obama, so get that through your thick skull.
As for Barack Obama obtaining the needed number of delegates to clinch the nomination, he can’t do it either. Sorry, but besides not disenfranchising key states in the nominating process which could very well cause a loss of these states to the Republicans in the general election, this is exactly why Florida and Michigan’s votes must be counted.

Thank you, Hillary Clinton. Many will be disappointed if it ends up being the end, and I pray that it doesn’t, but in many ways, the ride was like none other. I will not regret any money donated, the money spent traveling, or the time spent campaigning. Thank you for being a progressive, a true champion of the working class, a champion for us.
