Wow as a grown up child of the 70’s I am impressed with the depth of all your concerns about leftist political party (formally known as the democrats) and their inability to nominate a person of substance. They are using the fear card. Those who fear it most who were there and watched it in person and then there are those who watched it on TV and voted Nixon in twice.

The obama supporters who will attend read about it in glorified history books and left out all the messy details like all the folks like Abbie who ran off to canada after burning their draft card.

Cops and bashed heads were how I see it in retrospect. And that was against a cause.

This Denver thing is a sure to backfire attempt to deliver a threat to the DNC whose aim is to ensure the least likely candidate to win against McCain is selected by the superdelegates?

The cause of their protest is unclear to me.

We know who they are but what exactly do they hope to accomplish?

Kids today don’t understand how bitter ‘68 and Vietnam was, and still is, to those who were impacted by it. As you can see even with my comment, the wounds are still deep to this day.

It wasn’t fun, it was pure madness.

It was because of that mess the GOP rose up. It took them 30, yes, 30 years of hard planning to gain the upper hand in government — when Newt released the charge in 1992. The motivation? The Warren Supreme Court. Partly over abortion (for the Religious Right); to ensure the 2nd Amendment wasn’t hampered (for most of the Right); to hoping to overturn the 15th Amendment (for the Neo-Confederates). They thought they had it all with a empty suit named George Bush and partied their socks off.

We all know how that turned out, right?
