Obama’s Hot Air Balloon
By PatRacimora on May 12, 2008 at 5:59 PM in Barack Obama

Can you name this tune?
“It’s time to put our cynicism down. Put it down. Stand with me and take that leap of faith. Because I’m not asking you to take a chance on me. I’m asking you to take a chance on your own aspirations. Take a chance on hope.”
How unfortunate that one of the earlier concerns about the originality of Obama’s words were characterized as “plagiarism.” That “fighting word” totally missed the underlying and much more significant point.
The theme of the Obama campaign, the seeming magic of “change,” is out of its owner’s playbook, and that would not be Obama. That would be David Axelrod, who also ran the campaign of Deval Patrick (current Governor of Massachusetts).
Oh, and the first paragraph is from a Patrick speech in case you incorrectly guessed Obama. (For more on the Axelrod playbook, see CJ Poliical Report and ABC News blog).
In short we have a lot of hot air held in place by charisma and media fawning.
So far the pins tossed at the Obama Hot Air Balloon have pretty much bounced off. But wait… The Republican attack machine is formidable and already in the sky. The Republican National Committee has a 1,000 page dossier on Obama, and operatives have reportedly been lurking around Chicago looking deeper into Obama’s past actions and his pals who helped push him up the political ladder.
And now anyone can play along with the Republicans. An RNC ad just out that asks Obama questions, starting with concerns about his razor-thin experience. Anyone can visit and add question that, we assume, will assist in planning the GOP assaults yet to come. See at Net.GOP.com Scary stuff.
Let’s hope the Democrats come up with a better solution as to who their nominee will be while an alternative is still available. Otherwise…well, my cartoon says it better than I can in words.

I will never forgive Obamabots for compromising my Party’s chances of retaking the White House.
Remember Flineo’s sponge experiment?
http://www.youtube.com/v/zc3-2Wol9MM&hl=en
OMG–That is hilarious. I don’t know how Flineo does these things. Amazing.
Deval Patrick does a lot bettr job of giving that speech than does the somewhat awkard Obama.
Deval Patrick’s approval/disapproval in April was 41/56. Obama will be f’ing lucky if he’s any where near that in November.
I notice his approval/disapproval rating is the exact opposite of the results of the Democratic primary in that state. I guess Deval endorsed the wrong candidate.
Not to mention Kerry and Kennedy. They couldn’t even deliver their state. Hahahaha.
Kerry and Kennedy won’t be able to deliver Mass. to the Democrats in November either, if Obama is the nominee. Have you looked at the state by state polls? McCain will beat Obama in Mass. We like Hillary here, and we don’t care for vote suppression either. If Obama can’t win MA, Ohio, PA, NJ, and he won’t, how can he win? He can’t.
They may even be in danger of losing their seats.
Will Kennedy run again?
isn’t Kerry up for re election? Is there someone strong running against him, (and do they need money lol)
Kerry has a Democratic challenger. His name is Ed O’Neill. There is a Republican running against him too, but he has no shot.
can Oneill beat him?
I am from MA …Ed O”Neil interesting … tell me more ..My project for the fall is to get Kerry out of office. I will work for Ed O’Neil…I called Kerry’s office and said he should go away and they hung up on me…I called Kennedy’s office and asked that he retire. They told me he had to follow his conscience RE: Obama.. I said we all know Teddie hasn’t had one for 40 years. They cannot deliver Ma I agree it will go McCain especially with dopey Deval as an example of the” hope “candidate…more like a hopeless candidiate
Amen to that Boston Boomer…I, too…am a MA resident and no way in hell will I vote for Obama……I am hearing what you are hearing throughout the state….NOOBAMA!
Well you know how that goes. It’s like with music. The original song is always better than the remake.
I don’t think Obama is such a wonderful speaker. His cadence drives me crazy and gets on my nerves after a few sentences.
me as well. as far as I’m concerned he talks in circles. I rarely can follow his thread.
Oh my lord! I have said that for ages…it’s true! Barry even flubs the part about I’m not asking you to take a chance ….
jerk
As always, a lovely cartoon. You folks (*wink wink*) never seem to amaze me with your talent.
Fear of Marxism always brings out the skills.
Love the comic! Speaking of that oh so unbiased (not!) network MSNBC. I think I see their plan to foist Obama on the country, if he manages to steal the Democratic nomination.
They will give Bob Barr more free publicity than any other Libertarian candidate has ever recieved. They are already pushing him as the headline quoted below shows. This sucks.
“Barr announces Libertarian White House bid
Former Republican’s entry could cost McCain votes”
Oooooooo I am going to submit some questions to Barack Obama. I have so many….
Rise Hillary! Rise!
“Stand with me and take that leap of faith… For I am the Lemming God of Hell Fire”
BO in the year ???
PatRacimora -
Great cartoon! I wish I had your artistic ability. You’re right on with the politics too.
The Hopey Dopes dream on like it’s O.K. to present shit on a platter thinking the Republicans will eat it up.
WTF are they smoking? Really, it’s time they put down their crack pipes and realize that they’re the biggest racists on the planet.
Michelle Obamba oozes with her hatred of white people. I can’t get past her hateful self being all self-righteous about minding her own house all the while being too ignorant to realize her own damn husband - the friggin candidate - was in an even worse situation with his drunkard abandoning bigamist Muslim Father!!
Rational America wants a safe place to live.
The Obamas’ Chitown corruption chock full of criminals and terrorists won’t cut it with the sane folks.
As always….. right on target, Pat!
Fantastic work Trish. It really does say it all.
Hey that site is nice. Very easy to ask a question. I’m experienced now. lol.
Please call, call, and call for Hillary!!!
Now is good time, Working people are home!!!
We need every vote!!!
Hillary is working very hard for us. Let us all do our best to bring votes for her!!!
————————————————————————————————-
Do not waste time for trolls. That would not bring vote for Hillary.
See the troll should make us more determent to bring vote for Hillary.
That is their game. They want us to get angry and destruct. So we would lose time and mind to help Hillary. Do not let them. Do not let them.
Let us do this: Every time see a troll. We do a something for Hillary to win. We can make a call ask for vote http://www.hillaryclinton.com/, or we donate money to Hillary or NO QUARTER.
Great idea. Every time we see a troll, we should donate or pick up the phone and make one more call for Hillary.
What’s your definition of a troll? I am an Obama supporter but I post comments here occasionally, though I try to be respectful and don’t bash Hillary (I’m an Obama supporter, not a Hillary hater). Am I a troll? Is it okay to post here, or are pro-Obama comments not allowed?
I would say, personally, that respectful, thoughtful comments are welcome, no matter whom you support.
I don’t think someone who is respectful and not anti-Hillary is a troll… I do wonder what the point of posting “pro-Obama” comments on a site like this is. It’s a waste of your time — you will not change any minds about him, but perhaps by being here it will open your eyes to your candidate, and the spectre of a McCain presidency.
I just want to show that not all Obama supporters are Hillary haters…sometimes I am embarassed by the way fellow supporters in the blogosphere behave. I certainly don’t expect to change any minds for the primary, but I have to believe that if this is truly a Democratic site, not everyone here is planning to vote against the Democratic nominee in the fall if it’s Obama. I know some people here are, but I have to believe that there are some cooler heads here who believe that four more years of Bush-like policies would be devastating for our country. I certainly understand the disappointment and anger some Clinton supporters feel right now, and I am sympathetic. I will probably be a little sad if she drops out, even though I am an Obama supporter. But I hope that some of her supporters will take a look at the issues before making up their minds about the general election, and judge Obama based on his stances on the issues, rather than the behavior of some of his supporters in the blogosphere. I wish the Clinton supporters would come back to Kos, because I think it’s counterproductive for everyone to have sites where supporters of one Democratic candidate are not welcome.
Obama is involved with men who are criminal.
The issue isn’t the behavior it’s the criminals he fronts for, so in no way can his candidacy be supported, unless you’re intent on suicide.
WTH would vote for big oil’s boy?
Dont be naive, they’re filthy, destructive and from what I read, FUCKING stupid.
Big oil makes K** superflous, unless he took dirty money, too.
The law is the law, and google is your friend.
So is a functioning memory.
With all due respect, some can’t go back because they’ve banned simply for having differing opinions or asking probative questions about Obama.
So we’ve had a number of people in the ‘big ten’ say we’re not welcome: first it was the people in the blogs, then the blog owners themselves, and now the DNC leadership (ie Brazille).
And some of us fear four (or heaven forbid eight) years of unknown connections and anger driven race-based policy than just another idiot repug.
So, I humbly ask you if you want “us” back, work first for the people of FL and MI. We the people…just want to be counted.
I think they should seat at least half of Florida’s delegation, and figure out some sort of a compromise for Michigan. Even though I am an Obama supporter, I was disappointed in his campaign for not showing much enthusiasm for a Michigan revote. There were some legitimate issues with the proposal put forward, but they should have come up with a counter proposal instead of just letting the effort die.
I saw a proposal to seat the delegates from Michigan 73-55, per state party rules (that’s not the compromise 69-59 that was floated last week). I guess that means giving Obama the uncommitteds…I’d be fine with that. Even though he took his name off the ballot in Michigan, if your argument is that the people of Michigan should be represented, then I don’t see how you argue that giving him zero votes is representative of the people of Michigan. I know at least 2 Michiganders who wanted to vote for him, so they would not be represented if Obama got zero delegates.
I’m not voting for McCain. And I would only consider voting for Obama, if he wins the nomiation, if Hillary was on the ticket. Otherwise I will either sit out this election or write-in Hillary as my choice. And let the chips fall where they may.
If she’s his bridesmaid,I ask you to think of the times in your place of work where a superior woman was second to a mediocre man, held him up, while he got the credit. I would still do the write in if I were you even if she were his VP. Not that I think she would be caught standing next to him, carrying those swing states so he could preen about winning them. My guess she would be more apt to sit it out for four years after Barry gets McGoverned.
You’re absolutely correct as far as women and the glass ceiling. Yes, women have to work twice as hard and be twice as smart. Any woman who’s been in the work force has has to deal with that.
I actually think that these people are too stupid and arrogant to offer her the position. And if they did, I’m not sure that she’d take it anyway.
White it’s true that it’s not the top spot, a VP position can be very powerful. And it would be historical.
All I know is that I have such anger, hostility and disgust towards Obama, his campaign surrogates, those nasty hateful vicious Obamabots, the DNC and MSM that the ONLY way that I would ever cast a vote for him is if Hillary is on the ticket. I would support her if that was her choice.
My thing is from what I’ve seen of him, Hillary would do all the hard work and Obama would take the glory UNLESS something went wrong then he would say uuun uuuh uun don’t blam e Hillary was in charge of that.
Nope wouldn’t vote for Obama no matter who was on the ticket with him. I don’t approve of a POTUS that thinks it is fine to go to a rascist church that hates America (BTW see the new stories coming out about the new pastor Otis, Jesus liked thugs?) Rezko, Auchi Ayers and the thought of Michelle America is Mean as the first lady makes my stomache turn
I’ll go to Kos when you put a gun in my mouth.
And what makes you think that supporting Obama equates to a “cooler head”? The man is an empty suit for God’s sakes. He’s got people bamboozled. Hoodwinked. I’ve known people like him in Corporate America. All air, no substance. I am embarrassed for the way people fall all over him. He isn’t worthy of any of it. One thing I will give him is, he has charisma. But if history has taught us nothing, it’s that plenty of people who had charisma led their followers straight to hell.
I got banned from DailyKos back in 2004 for making comments that were critical of Howard Dean, who at that time was bankrolling the web site. You can get banned from Kos so easily if you say anything that is contrary to their rigidly enforced orthodoxy. It doesn’t matter how polite you are. The worst thing you can do is back up your assertions with facts. They hate that!
I run into people on blogs who say that, oh no, DailyKos doesn’t ban people unless they are trying to stir up trouble. I say, if you post on DailyKos and haven’t been banned yet, I have to wonder if you’re capable of thinking for yourself.
The one thing that DailyKos doesn’t want is the free and open discussion of issues.
sorry, can NOT support Obama in November. He’s tied to to many radical, racist advisors, mentors and funders. it’s a national security issue for me. Obama is a danger to our country and a corrupt fraud. it’s not a personality contest for me. I’m truly afraid of Obama’s anti-America, white hating agenda. thank you for the civil comments. I respect your choice, but need to tell you why I will have to vote McCain in November. in electing a president, we must choose someone who loves this country above all else, has integrity, has a decent moral character, even if I may disagree with his some of his or her policies.
Agreed. How in good conscience can we put this man, knowing what we know, even in a *position* to be the president?
Purple State Pundit -
I’m fairly new here, and I strongly support Senator Clinton, but as far as I am concerned, you’re welcome, given your respectful approach. You might actually come to understand why we believe that Senator Clinton is the better candidate of the two.
Based on what I’ve heard of the treatment of Clinton supporters at Daily Kos, I’m not sure that they have sufficient masochistic tendencies to return to that site. No personal experience, but it sounds like folks over there behaved like pr*cks (and that’s putting it mildly).
Some of them are assholes, I won’t lie. There are assholes supporting every candidate. But there are plenty of reasonable people too…not everyone at Kos hates Senator Clinton. I know I don’t. If she drops out I am even going to be a little sad. I was sad when Edwards dropped out too. I liked almost all the candidates we had this year, and it’s sad seeing candidates drop out.
I appreciate your sincerity and the stance you take for your candidate…having said that, my feelings for Obama have nothing to do with blogs, KOS or otherwise….I don’t like the man period….He’s the sleeziest politician I have ever met in my lifetime…seriously…I still want to know how someone can come from no where, spend not even a year in the Senate and decide to run for the Presidency. There are many chapters missing here and quite frankly, that was the first alarm that went up. Secondly, my instinct of not liking him from the beginning was right on when I saw the way his campaign and his people played the race card…he’s bad news, I don’t like him, and I will never vote for this man…McCain gets my vote if Hillary is not our candidate.
Obama is involved with people, his candidacy is pushed by people who seem to be directly related to criminality, and even terrorism.
His is not a legitimate candidacy.
So, you’re either a low information voter, or in denial, but asking for acquiescence in regard to Obama is to me like asking for support for Timothy McVeigh. It simply is not going to happen.
And the same can be said for Cheney, and Bush.
How much is big oil influenceing American politics, and is ii involved with unsavory, terrorist types?
No thanks.
I think they’re just playing good cop/bad cop with us, and this is the good cop they’ve sent over to sweet talk and bamboozle us.
I intensely dislike Obama (as opposed to about six months ago, when I thought I could vote for him if he got the nomination), but that’s not what I base my vote on. I voted for Kerry and didn’t like him either.
Obama is just not qualified to be President. I have never seen anyone who has held so many important positions with so few accomplishments to his credit. When you factor in the dirty campaign he has run and the unsavory people surrounding him, McCain is simply the better choice between the two. Hillary is head and shoulders above either.
“Oh, it’ll spin, but that won’t do us any good anymore.”
Nice cartoon, Pat, as usual :-). Speaking of things to burst the BO bubble, here’s an interesting quote from the first page of Evelyn Pringle’s “Curtain Time for Barack Obama - Part 1″:
“Most important for connecting the dots in the Board Games investigation, is the clarification that it is not the Rezko case. The only reason it’s always referred to as the “Rezko” case is because he happens to be the first defendant to be brought to trial.”
That story’s a cruise missile, waiting to blow his balloon into orbit. It’ll take some time to get through, though. Here’s the link, if anyone else is game:
http://tinyurl.com/6pn6ko
Remember: Only 2209 delegates is legit!
Love the cartoon!! There is something about Obama’s campaign logo that looks like it came straight from early USSR. Ugh!
talktruth - do you know if evelyn is writing any new stories? I emailed her to find out but did not get a response. she’s really on the ball and has spent hours and hours of work investigating this guy. I hope she’s still diggin up new information.
I heard that she’s supposed to come out with a “Part II” to the “It’s Curtain Time for Barack Obama” today.
Pat, you’ve surpassed your Obummer throwing everyone under the bus, cartoon. Is there a place we can go to see all the previous cartoons? Maybe NoQuarter can set up a special page for your cartoons.
I’m awaiting the Rezko Illinois Combine trial to go to the jury and Rezko found GUILTY. This might stick on Obummer or add to his LACK of Judgment he says he has.
Keep the ink flowing,
JohnnyB
Another fabulous cartoon, Pat!
And you hit it right on the nail!
Keep it up, Girl!
From another Pat
Each one of your cartoons says it better than the one before. He’s a gift that keeps on giving - at least in this regard!
Ever thought about doing something with MO? After all, she’s got a past as well and has stuck her foot in her mouth more than once.
Pat says that MO is on the cartoon list.
That plagarism thing has bothered me more than everything in his campaign. Because the majority of his supporters cite his words and his message more than anything when asked why they chose him.
I’m just completely lost as to why anyone would believe that this is what his candidcy is all about, when they were recycled from a similar Axelrove “Brand” who ran on those words, and then let everyone down that voted for him. I mean.. right there, in front of the Obama supporters is evidence of what those hopey-changey speeches get you. Nothing but an image candidate — the words don’t mean jack.
The OBama fans are not voting for Obama, they are voting for a middle-aged white guy named Axelrod… and the countless multi-millionaires and corporations that support him.
Obama uses a speechwriter and strategists, as all candidates do. But unlike most politicians, he has actually written some of his own speeches, and I think that while Axelrod is clearly influential, Obama is his own man and thinks for himself. For example, according to a recent article, “Obama rejected advice to criticize Clinton more fiercely, and went back to his themes of political and racial reconciliation. His solid win in North Carolina and near miss in Indiana confirmed his judgment.” His advisors were also leery of his decision to give the speech on race relations in March, but he decided it was a risk worth taking.
Really, it appears to be spin, “honey,” we call it, I call it a load of shit, a fairy tale.
Make sure you don’t believe it, hasn’t worked for that crew, so far.
You know, even the propaganda sucks, because of the no talents pushing it.
BWAHAHAHAHA! You almost made me pee my pants!
Purple State Pundit -
You’re either a FOOL or a TOOL or both! Your hopey dopey saccharine shit is giving me a friggin toothache.
Please float the hell away you little fairy, you’re going to make me puke like your bullshit criminal candidate who should be locked up with his buddy “Tony the Fixer” Rezko.
Yeah but he’s the A- String Nicey- Nicey guy.
I think he even uses that quote or something close to it on the top of his webpage, I thought he would take it down after people new it was Patricks 9or axelrods who ever) but nope, I guess he figured the people that spend much time on his sight don’t care.
Did anyone just catch Oreilly with Kass and some lady talking about Ayers/Obama? who was that lady she kept saying the important thing is Obama went to chicago to study Saul Alinsky and he was an instructor and everything Obama is doing relates to that, …get to the power
I know on TM some people keep mention Alinsky and this lady just said THAT is why Obama went to Chicago they (Ayers/Woods foundation people were related somehow) paid him to come be a “community organizer” and it all fits in with Alinsky thing about getting to be the power and apparently Obama’s community organizing was when he was an Alinsky instructor.
this could answer some of the questions we’ve been trying to figure out. I’ll try to see who this lady is, she has been really investigating Obama (I know rare huh?)
apparently both HRC and Obama studied Alinsky…
from the washington post…
Alinsky was a bluff iconoclast who concluded that electoral politics offered few solutions to the have-nots marooned in working-class slums. His approach to social justice relied on generating conflict to mobilize the dispossessed. Power flowed up, he said, and neighborhood leaders who could generate outside pressure on the system were more likely to produce effective change than the lofty lever-pullers operating on the inside.
Today, as Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton face off for the Democratic presidential nomination, their common connection to Alinsky is one of the striking aspects of their biographies. Obama embraced many of Alinsky’s tactics and recently said his years as an organizer gave him the best education of his life. Clinton’s interest was more intellectual

Hillary has no doubt read a lot of things. It’s like saying in my library of 10,000 books I once read his. That is not a common thread!
bo has both studied and applied these techniques of disruption, has worked for two foundations (woods and addenberg) over many years that are grounded in related principles- and has diligently applied them in this campaign.
yes, exactly.
Purple indeed…sorry for cynicism but I’ve already eliminated the words ‘hope’ and ‘change’ from my vocabulary and purple is my favorite color and I don’t want that ruined for me, too.
So here is my final word to obama supporters, whatever their shape, form, color, vocabulary, spelling ability, rationale, sincerity (or lack thereof).
1. I, for one (of many I think) AM NOT INTERESTED IN ANY OBAMA SUPPORTER, no matter how polite and ingratiating, suggesting we Hillary supporters join your camp. Nor am I interested in your ploys, lures or other perks of any kind. This is a final unalterable statement to which I am more committed than any vows I have or will ever undertake.
2. I used to really enjoy NQ comments thread. Since being invaded by obamanites (whether paid campaign staff or koolaid drunks) I no longer enjoy being here. It feels that where most of our chats had a resonance due to being on the same wave length, the cadence has been constantly interrupted lately, with attempts to fend off attack comments, etc. etc.
I used to both offer and access many reference links here, which kept expanding our collective awareness of the big picture. Instead in last week, it’s like trying to listen to a concert - that is sporadically interspersed with hard rap pseudo-music. This has become stressful and much less enlightening.
3. The recent article on the Takeover of Democracy was, ironically, followed by invaders here DOING JUST THAT to this invaluable site. I sense that is their TRUE INTENT in being here: to stress us out, bring us down to their level, and generally distract us. Though I’m not one to turn to ‘guns or religion’ I am getting bitter about this.
4. For these reasons above, I have a new strategy and I invite any other NQ readers who share any of these feelings to do the same:
FROM NOW ON, I will not respond to any obamanite comments on this blog. Regardless of whether they are polite or obscene, insane or merely illogical, full of twisted irrational thinking or just plain stupid lies or attempts to appear reasonable (though never ever factual). I SIMPLY WILL NOT REACT OR REPLY!
I will continue to enjoy this blog. I am grateful for the sanity, intelligence, clarity, creativity, knowledge bank, humor, respect and enthusiasm for Hillary and true democracy I find here.
I will simply let ALL obamanite comments be invisible and ignored by me AS IF THEY ARE NOT EVEN HERE. (and I hope other true NQ fans will do the same.)
After all, that is how barack hussein and his camp treat us, anyway, unless they want something - even if that something is just their sick sadistic humor or their attempts to portray how smart they think they are. I declare myself immune to the virus by neither absorbing nor even acknowledging it any more.
hi, lyn
Yes, caught that also, so wrote down her name: Sandy Rios. They said she is on a Chgo radio station whose call name was not familiar. Reporter on same show sounded hot on bo trail: John Kass, Tribune (?) repub paper but maybe he is independent, who knows.
If you follow up, lyn, will you post what you get on liberalrapture? look forward to hearing more about the 25 grand she said bo was paid (by ayres?) to come to Chgo and study the stuff.
thanks I’ll look her up, maybe Susan or mel could contact her and put more pieces of the puzzle together
Lyn -
Hillary Clinton’s senior thesis at Wellesley was on Saul Alinsky.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17388372/
The article makes this statement about Hillary’s conclusions on Alinsky:
“In the end, she judged that Alinsky’s “power/conflict model is rendered inapplicable by existing social conflicts” — overriding national issues such as racial tension and segregation. Alinsky had no success in forming an effective national movement, she said, referring dismissively to “the anachronistic nature of small autonomous conflict.
…Rodham found that the conflict approach to power is limited. “Alinsky’s conclusion that the ‘ventilation’ of hostilities is healthy in certain situations is valid, but across-the-board ‘social catharsis’ cannot be prescribed,” she wrote…”
However, if she’s the nominee, we might expect this thesis from 35 years ago to figure in Rethug’s attempts to “swiftboat” Clinton.
Totally ridiculous, but it’s what they do.
Great toon, Pat. Keep ‘em coming.
Barack Obama seems to want to have everything both ways.
First, Obama said:
But isn’t Hamas an “enemy”? Gosh …
Then Obama said (April 11, 2008) …
But … but … but …
I thought Obama said it was important to talk to our enemies, and that any talks should be held without pre-conditions.
Anyway, there was Obama’s Middle East advisor, Robert Malley, tripping off to hold secret talks with Hamas. So does Obama have ANY idea what his advisors are up to? Does Obama care? Is Obama in favor of secret talks with the “enemy” before he’s even president?
Oh well, back to the contradictions that are the Both-Ways Obama.
Obama was against the Patriot Act before he voted to RENEW it.
Obama was against NAFTA until he vote to EXPAND it.
Obama said he was against funding the Iraq war until he voted, OFTEN, to fund it.
Obama was “for” universal heath care until he put forth a plan that leaves out FIFTEEN MILLION PEOPLE.
Obama told us he would get the troops out of Iraq right away but now says he would leave about 60,000 to 90,000 troops in Iraq, along with the Blackwater mercenaries.
Obama opposed designating the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist group until he co-sponsored a bill that designated the Iranian Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist group.
Obama told us he does not take money from federal lobbyists, but he takes money from their spouses.
The ONE true thing Obama said is that he does not take money from corporations. That’s true because none of the candidates take money from corporations, since it is illegal to do so.
Hooray for Obama; he got one thing right.
Lightacandle..you’ll like Jake Tappers post on Obama always blaming his staff for his “boneheaded” mistakes. He’s found over 10 incidents of BO passing the buck.
http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/05/obamas-inabilit.html
The 2008 Democratic nominating process is starting to look a bit like a suicide pact.
I hesitate to use the terms “cynic” and “cynicism”, as lately the terms are conflated with simply negative. But as an old-school cynic (question everything), Obama’s campaign and supporters cause me to ask “what’s in it for me if I vote for Obama?” The answer is not pretty. Consider his long association with known terrorists (Ayers et. al.) Consider his 20 year association with a church that preaches that white folk are the source of just about everything bad. Consider that his actions are the epitome of gwb’s attitude of “if you’re not for me, you’re against me.” “What’s in it for me?” Isn’t that like a Jewish person being asked to vote for Hitler?
jwrjr,
Exactly! Scary too.
You do get right to the point, Pat, with your great descriptive cartoons and comments. Just hope that balloon pops soon and those who have been bamboozled by Obama wake up to the reality that only Hillary can beat McCain in November. Keep the cartoons coming!
You Clintonites are the knuckledraggers of the party. The Bushes and Clintons have been potus back and forth for twenty years! You people are no better than the dumb sheep over in the GOP who vote Bush/Cheney.
win without us.
ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Your brains can’t figure out what unelectable means.
more hypocritical nonsese from the “movement” to change the tone in politics and practice inclusion. my you guys certainly are clever…good luck trying to insult everyone into putting you in the white house
Love the creativity!
One day I’ll be able to design ’something!’
Has anyone seen this as yet?
Pastor Manning may well be aiming at that Hot Air Balloon.
http://tinyurl.com/3zmzqh
I came across this shocking, but interesting video by the daring Pastor, whom I have seen on Fox before. (Pastors seem to be also under a spell this season)
This time though, he has taken the “air attack” to a new level here:
http://tinyurl.com/3zmzqh
Of course he also has several videos on You Tube, but you have to be very open minded to listen.
Also, Webster Tarpley’s radio show will be running for the whole week with the “allegations.”
He even gives helpful tips on how and where to promote the info in the media. Don’t know about legalities involved….….as the allegations seem
to be a very, very, hot, potato.
Listen or download the recording here:

Just scroll down the page and click on ‘World Crisis Radio, Webster Tarpley’ show at the bottom.
I just bought my copy of the ebook he authored.

Great cartoon!
