So Much For the Reality Based Community
By Larry Johnson on May 14, 2008 at 10:29 PM in Bamboozling, Barack Obama, Current Affairs, Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers
We have endured seven years of Republicans declaring “Mission Accomplished,” dismissing insurgents in Iraq as mere “dead-enders,” and declining to identify water-boarding as torture. So Democrats and Independents, rightly so, started taking pride in calling themselves, “the Reality Based” community. Well John Edwards put an end to that tonight with his endorsement of Barack Obama.
Here is the reality:
1. A significant portion of the Democratic establishment reject Hillary Clinton. It does not matter that she is a stronger candidate than Barack Obama. It does not matter that she has won more votes in states that have had votes. It does not matter that she has demonstrated she can win the key swing states Dems will need to carry to win the November election. And, it does not matter that Barack cannot win those states.
2. Barack’s loss in West Virginia is unprecedented in a presidential primary. A 47 point spread? Are you kidding me. That’s not even close. And what do the reality based Democratic leaders do? They scramble to do everything in their power to distract public attention from that fact and move on to other things like sending out John Edwards and Naral to endorse Barack. If Hillary had lost in West Virginia, Indiana, and Pennsylvania I could understand such endorsements. But she smoked Barack in West Virginia. And that encourages folks to endorse Barack?
3. Hillary will decisively win in Kentucky and will pull close in Oregon. She will win in Puerto Rico. South Dakota and Montana do not matter. They’ll vote Republican in November regardless. Whether Hillary or Barack wins in those states is totally irrelevant. So we will end the primary season with Hillary having won more votes. And what do the Democratic leaders want to do? Pretend that Barack won most of the votes.
4. Neither Barack nor Hillary can win the nomination without Super Delegate votes. If Super Delegates cast ballots based on the percentage of votes each candidate won in the states that have had primary votes than Hillary has garnered the majority. How about if Super Delegates votes according to who has the best chance of beating John Mccain? Well, Hillary wins that one as well. So what are the Supers doing? They are turning to Obama. So much for reality.
But Barack has problems and the problems will get worse. The media and the blogosphere are not going to sit on their hands the next three months. And the ammunition is plentiful. Barack himself resurrected Reverend Jeremiah Wright today. Sending out a ridiculous flier claiming he is a Christian who attends church simply begs the question–does he accept the theology of black supremacy preached and taught by Jeremiah Wright?
Barack’s contacts with Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam will be exposed. He will try to run but you cannot run away from this group. And Malik Shabazz and Louis Farrakhan are solidly in his corner. Commenting on Obama, Farrakhan said:
“What are you trying to do to our brother?… I love that brother. I want that brother to be successful… I have to be very careful in what I say… Where’s God in this? And why now?… What’s going on? Who is this young man?… This young man is the hope of the entire world.”
And listen to Farrakhan’s own words (doesn’t this guy understand the concept of video cameras?):
Barack’s ignorance of critical foreign policy issues will be exploited. His latest Obamaism claiming that “Arabic” translators are needed in Afghanistan is inexcusable for someone who wants to be Commander-in-Chief in the war on terror. The languages of Afghanistan are Pashto and Dari Persian. I guess this puts to bed, once and for all, the rumor that Obama is a secret muslim. Surely a true muslim would understand this nuance.
And then there is the allegation of closet homosexual activity. I do not know if these charges are true or not. But republican surrogates, with Drudge in the lead, are starting to circulate the allegations of Larry Sinclair and others claiming that Barack is on the “down low.” (Please note, I am not linking to any of these stories. I am focused on the fact that the matter is being aired.) These charges made FOX tonight and are being reported in the Globe. Folks standing in grocery lines perusing the tabloids are going to get an eyeful of this stuff. And do not think for a minute that sex don’t sell. Just ask Bill Clinton.
Barack’s dissembling on his relationship with the Reverend Wright and Bill Ayers has helped create an impression that he is covering up things from his past. I suspect he is hiding things other than sexual shenanigans but his tap dancing on the past has planted the seed of doubt. Some are asking, “what else is he lying about?” That will be one of the other story lines. Elites in the media and Democratic party circles will howl in rage and decry the “smear.” My point–regardless of the ground truth, the allegations will be repeated and replayed and Barack will ultimately have to address these in one fashion or another. I do not know how the debate over such allegations helps Barack build support in middle America.
Hillary needs to stay in the campaign till the end because by the time August rolls around the damage to Barack will be so significant that rational folks will realize he is unelectable notwithstanding the mess Republicans have made of things.
My advice? Patience. Let Barack have his codpiece, “Mission Accomplished” moment. Like George Bush, he will rue his strutting and preening and declaring premature victory. Reality will intrude.

You are so right Larry. There are more explosive “Revalations” to come. I also have been hearing about the sexual “stuff’. I wrote something about it. Not Fact based but more along the lines that this WILL come to the surface. It will add to what is already mainstream and no-one is going to be able to stifle it. I suspect the Media has already got a whiff of whats in the air.We shall see.
To put things in perspective, here is a review of past primaries and causcuses where Obama blew out Clinton.
State - Obama - Hillary
Idaho 82.2% 17.8%
Hawaii 76.2% 23.8%
District of Columbia 75.8% 24.2%
Alaska 74.6% 25.4%
Kansas 74.2% 25.8%
Washington 68.4% 31.6%
Georgia 68.1% 31.9%
South Carolina 67.6% 32.4%
Minnesota 67.4% 32.6%
Colorado 67.3% 32.7%
Illinois 66.3% 33.7%
Virginia 64.2% 35.8%
North Dakota 62.6% 37.4%
Mississippi 62.2% 37.8%
Maryland 61.9% 38.1%
Wyoming 61.9% 38.1%
Louisiana 61.7% 38.3%
Vermont 60.6% 39.4%
Remove the caucuses and deep red states and then we’ll talk about electability.
Clinton not only does well in WV and KY Democratic primaries, but against McCain in the GE.
You obviously haven’t heard. The Republicans are staying home in November and only Democrats will be voting. And all of Hillary’s supporters are going to fall at Obama’s feet. Together we will sing Kumbaya.
Damn… I must have missed the memo.
I ain’t going anywhere near Obama’s stinky feet. Let Dick Morris have at them.
In the general, she’ll suck gas in Kentucy and West Virginia. What’s your point?
making a point with a post?
You should talk.
You know you’re wrong. Why? Because she is winning the states that helped rebuild the Democratic Party in 1992 and carried it forward in 1996.
She also relates to average people, whether you like it or not. Barack doesn’t “relate” to anybody except urban yuppies, young, AAs (and then only because he’s AA).
And here’s something else: Older AA women see through his shinola. Many, many of them support Hillary Clinton. They’ve been around the block a few times and know when somebody’s spitting on their shoes and telling them it’s raining!
I am an idiot and will go back to where I came from. I saw the light that is Hillary!
Nope. She’ll win WV over McCain. Obama is the one that will hear the sucking sound in Nov.
So what’s the new magic number since we aren’t seating caucus and red state delegates?
I’m operating on the premise she is winning, hands down, despite the tricks and the garbage.
I really hope she and her campaign understand THIS is the reality, she is winning.
she’s behind in the number of states won, the pledged delegate count, the super delegate count, and the dollars raised count. how is she winning?
Obama has lied, and cheated, perhaps fixed elections, the caucuses were rigged, pushed, and in no way reflect the true picture.
Super delegates can change, and FL and MI Do count, despite dean’s fevered attempts to pretend, support has been purchased, and blackmailed.
Every democrat I have seen on the news endorsing Obama is lying.
Why?
Choking on the talking points would suggest he really doesn’t have support, and that’s the point, he has no support at all, he is a DOG of a candidate, and they know it.
And now, if the down ticket has to disown him to get elected, whether it’s for democratic senator or dog catcher, well, they have big problems.
Honestly, are they actually starting to believe the shit they spin, win at any cost?
fatal.
And think of that crew coming into office, trying to run a war, where people , enemies will LIE to you deliberately, fuck up your numbers, your head, and you have to discern reality, and no one trusts you because you stole the election, and while doing it , you pissed off EVERYONE, and everybody knows you can’t do the job, and you can’t…..
See a pattern here?
I think you might be way off on this one, he learns very quickly, I think Obama is a very strong candidate with lots groundswell support - Obama and the Dems in Congress will blow away the Republicans in November. Trust me, you can see it in the special elections - A BIG Change is Coming.
Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don’t criticize
What you can’t understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is
Rapidly agin’.
Please get out of the new one
If you can’t lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin’.
B. Dylan
Don’t pull out that “hippie” stuff from the 1960s. I lived that era. You only fantasize about it. We had two terms of Richard Nixon (1968 & 1972) and ‘72 was a true landslide victory, because the radical left (which included Bob Dylan) couldn’t get the votes of the average, middle American. IMO, the Democratic party has never recovered from that defeat, except for “one, brief, shining moment” during the 1990s. And who was that? Oh, yes, it was Bill Clinton who engineered that comeback.
I stayed home in 2004, because I couldn’t stand John Kerry and couldn’t stomach voting for Bush. I imagine a lot of Dems felt this way and that’s why Bush got his second term.
Oh, yeah, I see a change a-coming. President John McCain taking the oath of office in January, 2009.
The problem with the special election wins by “Democrats” is that if you didn’t put a (D) after their name you would think that they were Republicans.
Hmmm. Maybe that is why Obama will do well in the fall — he thinks that the Republican party is the party of ideas.
Well, they need to do what they think is right, it’s worked out for them, so far.
LOL.
Do you know that Dylan now sells his music for advertising?
Those days are GONE. Let’s not look back unless it is to learn what not to do again. Let’s try to WIN for a change, not lose our asses one more time to prove YES WE CAN LOSE TO REPUBLICANS … what’s the point of that, after all?
Having said that, if Barack H. Obama is the name on the ballot with a “D” next to it, as dangerous as he is, I feel compelled and am committed to voting for an “R” for the first time in my voting record. In OHIO — one of those states he needs very very very badly in order to win. And yes, when the Democrats blaim it on Ohio, I will be THRILLED to have done my small part!
I am from Texas. And all I have to say is this…..historical election….really historical election….if HRC is not on the ticket… let’s write her in on that day in November…. that would be true HISTORICAL ELECTION!! A write-in candidate wins the presidential election!!
Mitchman,
The only thing that needs “a-changin’” is your diaper.
You’re a typical uber liberal, and as Bill Buckley once observed: “Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then they are shocked and offended to discover that there ARE other views”.
Yes, indeed, a big change is coming. Apparently you’re not up on the latest news - “Hillary Supporters for McCain” is one of the many groups with thousands of supporters so far who will NOT, under any circumstances, vote for Obama, short of someone holding our children’s bare feet over red-hot coals. The “change” will be the tidal wave of men and women roiling out of the Democratic Party and voting for McCain if Clinton does not get the nomination she has earned. Brazile feels the party no longer needs “older” voters, non-college-educated voters, and those of us who earn less than a hundred grand a year. Well, you know what? That’s a lot of voters moving over to McCain.
Oops, I am an idiot. I just forgot about that
No no, just follow your instincts, they’re dead on.
the states she has won are worth more in terms of pledged delegates and She will surpass Obama in the popular vote count.
He won primarily in caucus states that will go red in Nov. Take a look at what is currently going on in Nebraska. Obama won it but there is delegate movement toward Hillary. Apparently some are suffering from “buyers remorse”!!!
The perception she is losing a creation of Obaams’ campaign.
How can anyone make decisions based on lies?
They can’t.
The ones being hurt the most by this system of amateur game is Obama, just like Bush and Cheney are, like the US in the middle east under the current crop of MORONS.
But reality, they’re destroying themselves, and if big oil wants to die, let them.
Anybody who at this point is still crowing about the “number of states” Barack Obama won is a certifiable idiot. You’re only here because you’re in panic mode after Hillary handed Barack’s skinny ass to him in West Virginia. Begone, troll. Go s*** Obama’s d*** on one of the Obama d***-s***ing sites.
The number of states won was such a ridiculous bragging point of Obama’s that I still find it funny. He counts Alaska with all 400 votes as equal to winning NY?
Adding in MI and FL votes, she is now ahead in the popular vote and will increase that lead substantially next Tuesday with KY.
His entire electability argument rests on the assumption that he will get her voters and be fine in the big states she won. Yet exit poll after exit poll disputes that idea.
Yes, he is ahead in delegates. However, the delegate distribution is crazy. Look at 18 delegates for Idaho for 20,000 votes versus NH 22 for multiple times that number of votes.
It’s ridiculous to assert that they aren’t in a nead dead heat. To proclaim he will have won by June 3 in advance of actually winning is just psychological warfare with her supporters.
Money raised? Ask Mitch Romney just how money can’t buy votes. Heck, ask Obama. He outspent her in PA 3 to 1 and still lost.
Aren’t Obama-nuts the least bit interested in anything that’s come down are will come down. You don’t refute anything, but constantly talking about undemocratic, intimidation prone caucuses. Yeah he won Alaska, total 300 votes.
To quote one of Amy Winehouse’s song: “What kind of fuckery is this”?
At this moment in time, in the era of Rev. Wright, and the avalanch of scandals to come, I’d prefer all those caucuses - red states by the way - have a primary vote. The private, not in-your-face style of DEMOCRACY. And I’d bet Hillary would win by an average of 20 points. Booyah!
On the caucuses - is there any way to find out how many votes were student votes - students who were told to cut class and given FREE ipods as they did in Iowa? We already saw evidence of one of Obama’s regional managers last week tell people to call in sick to work in order to “work the streets” and bring people in to vote.
Can’t argue with facts. Obama has had plenty of big, landslide wins.
landslide wins?
Hillary has won everywhere that counts in the general election. This explains why she is still very much in this race and you have to inflate Obama’s meager wins to “landslide wins.”
Hi Carrie! Here are the facts on the ‘landslides’ you mentioned on another thread. Just want to get the facts out there.
Idaho - caucus (21K votes cast)
Washington - caucus (vote totals not on CNN, have they even been released?)
Colorado - caucus(119K votes cast)
Minnesota - caucus (211K votes cast)
Hawaii - caucus (37K votes cast)
Alaska - caucus (total votes - 406!!)
Georgia — FINALLY an election which he did win big. Thank God for small favors. Its a problem in the general considering that over 50% of the primary vote was African American (and Georgia is Republican red), but at least it was a real vote with over 1 million ballots cast. When you compare GA to the tiny vote totals in your caucus ‘landslides’ you see the problem don’t you?
In the 5 caucus contests you mention where vote totals are available BO got a TOTAL of 147K votes more than HRC; HRC got 148K votes more than BO yesterday in one primary. She wiped out his vote advantage from 5 caucuses in one primary. Caucuses favor the candidate with the most zealous support - advantage BO. Primaries favor the candidate with the widest base of support - advantage HRC.
Come the convention HRC will have the lead in votes and BO the lead in delegates, but neither will have the 2209 needed to nominate. The goal is to beat McCain — the general election is not a caucus, it is not proportional representation - it is WINNER TAKE ALL.
Texas caucus is reporting at 41%. Huh? CNN AND MSNBC. Checked Texas SOS and NOTHING there. Why aren’t those votes certified yet?
They aren’t certified until the Texas State Convention next month. Many challenges to those caucus activities and the way they were run. Those results aren’t valid yet and may yet change.
HOW CAN TEXAS NOT CERTIFY ANY OF THE VOTES TILL THEIR CONVENTION..in June..first of all an election is ceritified by the state not the party… AND YET ANY CANDIDATE CLAIMS DELEGATES????????
that is insane…how is that anywhere in the DNC rules??????????
can anyone see if that is in the rules ..that a state does not certify the votes until months after an election ..and how and when a state must cerify to award any candidate the delegates …there should be no awarding of delegates until a vote is certifed by the state as a legal election!
and how could Obama or Hillary say they have those delegates?????????
How can AP say Obama won all these delegates ..when they are not certified.
fly
Clara..

my guess is there is a court case ongoing..and there are major major challanges to cerifiying that crooked caucus!

If he gets the nomination he will most likely be the first one to lose all 50 states. Even though he thinks there are 57 states only 50 count.
Helen…no no no ..only 48 count by Obama’s math!!
fly ..a not counted Floridian..
does that make me a non american???????
Hmm..that is what i think Obama has told me!!
You can’t HANDLE the facts, Carrie.
Why have two Obama supporters called themselves “idiots” on the same thread?
Is that an indication of a wider condition?
Sorry please everybody don’t read my posts anymore! I am an idiot and didn’t know what I was saying. Edwards is a tool and Snobami is a shill…HIllary is the true thing ya’ll!
You’re a flamer, I will give you that…
Carrie — the comedian.
See Obama won the really big states –
Like California — oops — Hillary won CA.
NJ — yep Obama won NY — Oops — Hillary again
NY — Nope — Hillary again
Florida & Michigan — Obama won — nope Hillary
Ohio — Texas, Pennsylvania, Mass.
There is a pattern emerging. Hillary wins the BIG primary states and the con man, crook Obama wins Republican states using caucus thieves.
The big states the really BIG
states were won by Hillary — the must win — with lots of real democratic votes — the OLD democratic party voters — Hillary won.
Are we laughing at this new comedian???
Funny stuff — the facts.
Obama is a loser, just like well, all the other DEM losers of the past elections.
ha ha ha — funny joke Carrie — reminds me of that Steven King Carrie’s sort of “jokes”.
Not to mention border and a couple of Southern States will will be put into play in the fall only if she is the nominee.
So right. Caucuses are part of the landscape, but give me a break: voters in caucuses represent at best 1/10 of a state’s eligible voters. And in the experience with my caucus, local Dem leaders were overwhelmed by Obama’s folks who were allowed to caucus even if they were not registered to vote and even if they could not prove their age.
So, yeah; caucuses count, but the numbers are so far below registered voter participation as to be almost meaningless, compared with true democratic primaries.
Good luck winning Idaho in November.
I’m voting against anyone who endorsed Obama.
Put this into respective
State - Obama - Hillary
Idaho 82.2% 17.8% - Red state.. O can’t win in GE
Hawaii 76.2% 23.8% - Blue O will be 4
District of Columbia 75.8% 24.2% - blue O will get 3
Alaska 74.6% 25.4% - Red state o can’t win in GE
Kansas 74.2% 25.8% - Red State O can’t win in GE
Washington 68.4% 31.6% - Blue state O will win 11
Georgia 68.1% 31.9% - red state O can’t win
South Carolina 67.6% 32.4% - Red State O can’t win
Minnesota 67.4% 32.6% - Red state O can’t win
Colorado 67.3% 32.7% - Red State O can’t win
Illinois 66.3% 33.7% - Blue for O 21 to O
Virginia 64.2% 35.8% - Red state O can’t win
North Dakota 62.6% 37.4% - Red State O can’t win
Mississippi 62.2% 37.8% - Red State O can’t win
Maryland 61.9% 38.1% - Blue state O will get 10
Wyoming 61.9% 38.1% - Red state O can’t win
Louisiana 61.7% 38.3% - Red State O Can’t win
Vermont 60.6% 39.4% - Blue state O will get 3
So, he can’ win.. but putting up this only shows that he will lose in Nov.. and too bad for you, but I can’t wait to see the end of his career
I know I’m late on replying to this, but it’s this very Obama zombie mindset that is driving me nuts. Their inability to see past the primaries is astonishing. Half of the states listed here will not vote Democrat no matter what. The majority of the others (if not all) will vote Democrat in favor of either candidate. IT IS THE ABILITY TO WIN SWING STATES THAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE. Jeeeeeezzzzz.
O.K., I feel better now.
Sue,
I sent this message to Elizabeth Edwards just now. When you’re blogging today, ask others to let the Edwards’ know how disappointed we are.
Nancy
——————————————————————————–
You were noticeably absent yesterday from your husband’s endorsement spectacle. I commend you for that. I heard that you would have endorsed Hillary Clinton. I felt sick as I watched John become just another self-indulgent, self-important politician. Throughout the campaign, he seemed to agree with all that Hillary wants for this country, and the wind blew the other way, so John went along because he hopes to get something out of it, obviously. What a major disappointment for all of us who believed he was genuine. I was so bereft of hope as I watched him onstage with Obama soaking up the applause that I couldn’t listen to his speech. I can tell you that I would never again vote for John in any capacity. Two things happened to me this morning. As I was driving to work, the car in front of me was sporting a bumper sticker that read, “Politicians are like diapers: they all need to be changed for the same reason.” Then as I was walking up the sidewalk, I found a complete set of rosary beads. There IS hope, but John Edwards will never be a part of it. You seem like a wonderful woman. I hope you’re well.
I’m wondering if the party is going to wake up and realize they have moved away from the voters.
What I’m sensing is behind-the-scenes intimidation,
pressuring and promises aka bribery. I could imagine Kennedy on the phone with Edwards for hours.
I agree… the Kennedy’s (half of them anyway) are behind BHO and were probably VERY persuasive.
I’m starting to feel dirty when I hear Obama’s name.
Me too, PJ.
He’s a repulsive candidate. And it has NOTHING to do with being Black.
The Democratic Party has become a completely empty vessel.
I’m glad my Dad is no longer alive to see what it has become.
You have to wonder what posessed Edwards to do this. By doing this yesterday he backhanded all the blue collar voters in WV who finally got some attention for their situation and views.
Now we get to see Hillary take on two boys with one hand tied behind her back - without breaking a sweat, I predict. She gets another $100 from me today!
Your comment gives me hope. Thank you.
You know Auchi was a big shot at the Kennedy School of Government Studies at Harvard don’t you?
The cash hungry Kennedys (non-producers) prop up every kook in a suit.
I wonder how much he gave to keep it afloat?
And how about the rest of the criminal terrorist crowd?
The Kennedys LOVE them all!
Check out the Kennedy School Boards. They’re as insane as Chicago’s.
Who has the power to strong arm delegates with threats of having an opponent in their district?? BO is an invention of Howard Dean.. Dean hates the Clintons because they opposed his bid for DNC chair.. he won..now it’s payback. BO is Dean’s hand picked nominee. and he has advantaged BO with the DNC network he started setting up in 2004, Deanics, and internet.. that’s how BO won all those caucuses.. Dean went down south, then out west, to set up offices for his 50 state strategy. He needed someone to mobilize the southern (AA) voters to snag 1 or 2 states from electoral college.. that’s his plan for a new electoral map.. so he picked a clean slate ,no record candidate with some shinola. The DNC, dean, Kennedy have all highjacked this party for another far left elite candidate. how many times are they going to get whacked before they learn. the country is in the center.. the new coalition is a loser.. Hillary is the strongest on all levels Stay in Hillary!!
Obama’s got problems. I’m done with the Democratic Party. I’m mailing my voter registration card tomorrow to become an independent.
I’m saving that for an official Obama nomination as is the rest of my family and, I suspect, a lot more discarded Democrats.
I saw somewhere that a lot of people are going to do it the first week in June if it looks like BO will be the nominee. When we do it, we need to all send our cards to the DNC just to rub it in their noses. I am really fed up with these clowns.
In california you have to change by may 19th. So do not wait until the first week of june.
And thats why barky is announcing he is god on the 20th.
savagepolitics is talking about a big concerted change registration effort june 1 - 8th..I’m also suggesting that everyone make copies of their registration forms and mail them to the offices of dean, pelosi, brazile and reid. I think we should also print off copies of donation receipts to mccain and show these folks where our money is going. I would love it if thousands of letters were dumped on these idiots desks. reminds me of miracle on 34th street. yes virginia, there is a santa clause.
Why? I e-mailed the DNC and told Dean precisely why I’m not an Independent.
I couldn’t care less about impressing him further or any of them, really.
I knew Wright was going to sink in and cause a massive movement away from Obama. WVA can’t be dismissed unless you’re just whistling in the dark. The voters spoke.
They can put on show after show, but he can’t buy votes.
They can tell themselves all they want that they are “right” and Clinton’s supporters are “wrong,” and it won’t matter one bit in the Fall election.
The Democratic Party is counting on McCain being unappealling. They are right if we’re talking about left-leaning Dems. They are stupid if we’re talking about moderates and conservative Dems.
So the hijacked party, led by gloating Washington insiders, best enjoy their brief few months of the illusion of power, because I don’t think Obama will pull in the traditional Democrats. I don’t think the INdependents who were REpublican-leaning will buy his message. I don’t think the red states are going to turn blue magically. And I think the Democratic party is underestimating John McCain, just as the Republicans did.
McCain is centrist on a lot of issues that matter to people, and he’s a lot more saleable than Obama is on foreign affairs. Obama’s attitudes frankly frighten a lot of people because he’s so naive and untutored. McCain is going to be the candidate for the voters who want experience. And McCain is also going to be the candidate on the economy.
Obama will appeal to those who wish to symbolically heal the nation’s race wound. *blink*
I can’t imagine that sustaining many voters.
That should read: why I AM now an Independent.
Hey Annin, good to see you here. I used to see you on Huffington Post when we were both trying to battle the Obamabots. Someone should print out the remarks on Huffington Post for later use when Obama gets his ass handed to him along with the Democratic Party. Right now the Democratic Party is dying by its own hands. It needs a exorcism of the trash that has infected it. Lets get moving and get it done so it can really be for the people not just some people. Never ever vote Obama, an anti-American, terrorist loving idoit.
He’s pretty conservative but not enough to suit the taste of many people in the GOP. If he can convince the voting population that he is the John McCain of 2000 then he is going to be tough to beat.
reality will intrude hope it wont be too late.my husband always said he looked like a queen. he might have been right.
Is that true?
Oh good god.
See, it’s not an issue, but when the hate of your campaign is directed at gays, and you’re secretly gay, too, well, it’s very telling.
And wrong.
And also very Republican ala Larry Craig.
If you think an Obama administration is going to be kind to the gay community, think again. The LGBT community is getting ready to be drummed out of the DNC along with the blue collar working class by Obama,Dean and lesbian Donna Brazile.

True that. The only way anybody in the Snobami group ever listens if you talk stupid and start to type in bold and CAPITAL LETTERS.
But then again, this whole election is like the movie “Election”, and we all know that Tracy Flick won for a reason…even if the other side had to cheat (remember Indiana anyone?). The jock almost got the job(Snobami) and everybody at school hated Tracy (hint hint) but she won.
carrie…I have a feeling you think you’re more clever than you are. You comments make no sense.
If this “group” is so far beneath your intellectual acumen, then why come here? You’re not even a very good troll. One of Obama’s paid bloggers?
Sorry, replied to the wrong comment. Clearly, I need more caffeine before getting online.
How is this working with Donna? I found this pice from Accuracy in Media:
Donna Brazile has helped organize a gay/lesbian/transgender march on Washington scheduled for next April. U.S. News and World Report noted that the gay rights community was “oddly silent” over the fact that Brazile, one of their own, had been named Gore’s new campaign manager. “It’s just not news,” one activist said. Gore, in moving his campaign headquarters to the Bible Belt obviously was not eager to have Donna Brazile’s sexual orientation and her mudslinging record trumpeted in the media. The establishment media obliged him, largely ignoring the sexual orientation and low-keying her smear of George Bush.
Here is the link … author information, etc.

Savage Politics has an older post about it. Very detailed and interesting.
Expose Obama’s beliefs on Black Liberation theology. Surely he has read the Church’s manifesto by now, so it’s time that he discussed these issues with the voters. We can start by asking him if he thinks that violent revolution is a good way to gain political power and wright the wrongs of America’s racial history?
How about it Obama…You’re man enough to run for president, I’m sure you’re man enough to discuss your belief system.
Now that would make tasty reading for KY voters!
Who said he was man enough to run for president — he is a coward and has run his campaign as such. Even today, he had to hid behind Edwards to upstage Clinton’s big win. If he was man enough to run for president, he would have campaigned in WVa hard and tried to change their minds and try to convince them he is the right guy, a la JFK. Give him a waffle — he is a waffleman.
Exactly!! Sissy Obama is weak weak weak weak…. What pathetic show
Edwards and Obama trying to “change” Obama’s humiliating loss in WV !!!!
The PEOPLE of WV kicked Obama’s butt and he calls Edawrds” please please tell them you love me…” SISSY.
