Will the Democratic Party Be Democratic? When Hillary Wins the Popular Vote Will Obama Act Like It’s Florida?
By Larry Johnson on May 17, 2008 at 12:55 PM in Barack Obama, Democracy, Democrats, Disenfranchisement, Florida, Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, John McCain, Kentucky, Missouri, Richard Daley, Ted Kennedy, West Virginia
Hillary Clinton Leads Popular Vote
Democrats risk turning their whole party into Florida 2000–or Florida 2008. When does the winner not win? In Florida 2000, the votes were not counted because the conservative majority on the Supreme Court ruled they shouldn’t be counted. Al Gore won the popular majority of votes in the country and likely in Florida. But George W. Bush became president. We know the catastrophe that resulted from this travesty of democracy.
Now it appears that Hillary is headed toward a popular vote majority for the Democratic nomination. Obama and his supporters have tried every gambit, play, tactic, and strategem to prevent this and to obscure and distract the Democratic voters from clearly seeing what’s obviously happening–a triumph of democracy.
Obama has been anointed by the media and dynasts of the party–Kennedy, the Daleys, and Hoffa of the Teamsters–but he can’t close the deal.
The day after Hillary’s huge victory in West Virginia, showing her deep well of support among working and middle class people, and in the border South, Obama tried to take the edge off. He trotted out John Edwards, as if he’s the working class hero. But in his last primary, in South Carolina, Edwards base of support was among those earning more than $200,000. Edwards did not endorse Obama when it might have counted, before North Carolina, Edwards’ own state. Now, his endorsement won’t sway a vote in Kentucky. And we don’t think Obama will be sending Edwards soon as a surrogate to Puerto Rico.
Then Obama applied pressure to NARAL to counter Hillary’s deep support among women, who just keep coming out. Hillary history of courageous work on behalf of women’s rights and women’s right to choose is unparalleled and unquestioned. It was Hillary who led the fight in the Senate against the Bush administration to get the FDA to approve Plan B. But Hillary’s sterling record didn’t give NARAL compromised leadership a pause. After all, these were the people who endorsed Joe Lieberman. So without consulting its affiliates, NARAL’s bosses issued a command from on high–smash Hillary, endorse Obama. But NARAL affiliates revolted and refuse to abide by this undemocratic order. Obama could care less that in trying to putting down Hillary he has destroyed NARAL. It means nothing compared to his ambition. He is leaving a path of wreckage.
Not only is Hillary the winner in seven of the eight big battleground states (except Illinois, Obama’s own), where she polls ahead of John McCain, unlike Obama in key states (Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania), but she also is ahead of critical border states–Arkansas, Missouri, West Virginia, and competitive in Kentucky. Unquestionably, Hillary is the strongest candidate for the Democrats–and as the last primaries take place the Democrats there realize it and believe they must nominate a winner.
The establishment is behind Obama. It’s the establishment versus Hillary. No one is on her side but the people. And they don’t want the people’s voice to be heard.
It’s becoming clear Hillary will be the popular vote winner when the primaries are finished. But she is finding herself in Al Gore’s position–the winner being denied victory. Obama and the establishment are turning the Democratic Party into Florida all over again. It’s hardly a surprise that Obama claims he’s ahead depend on suppressing the 1.7 million votes and delegates of Florida, not to mention Michigan.
Obama uses his media cheerleaders–MSNBC is one big locker-room of loudmouth jock sniffers–to denounce, dismiss and deny that voters actually matter. Forget about counting votes! Forget about people voting!
The Democratic Party is about to face its moment of crisis. Will it be democratic? Will the votes really matter? Will the winner be the winner? If the loser is crowned, nobody should be surprised if he’s a loser. But it’s not too late! The winner can still win, despite all the forces amassed against her.
But, remember, there is only one true measure of winning in a democracy–who has the most votes. The one who doesn’t win a majority and suppresses votes isn’t the winner. He’s the loser, acting in bad faith, denying democracy.
Democracy in the Democratic Party is on the line.

well thought out
well written
on the money
thanks, larry
1.74 million Florida democrats have been disenfranchised and we demand to have our votes counted and our delegates seated based on the outcome of our January 29th primary.
Please go to the web site below and download petitions. Pass them to everyone you know and mail them in. Required petition fields are just name, signature, city and state. We have a national petition as well as a Florida petition. (You do not need to be a Florida resident to participate).
Thank you and please post this info on as many web sites as you can. While at our site, sign up if you want to come with us to our May 31st DC rally.

Done!
What do you all out there think of Hillary’s chances if she ran as an Independent?? It worked for Lieberman! Also, how does the write-in candidate option work??? Thanks.
zip………but I do think in the 4 years we have, we should mobilize.
But zip, zip….
Well thought out points
The writer is right, all votes should count. Didn’t we all grow up hearing every vote count.
Lets hope before it’s to late that the DNC remembers that.
I know that there are some good people on the DNC who believe as we do lets hope they can make our point to the rest of the DNC (who want the Repulicans to win in November) that every vote counts and seat the Fl. and MI delegates
SPECTACULAR!!!!
Excellent well thought out article.
Thanks Larry!!!!
“But, remember, there is only one true measure of winning in a democracy–who has the most votes. The one who doesn’t win a majority and suppresses votes isn’t the winner. He’s the loser, acting in bad faith, denying democracy.”
Wow… Only one true measure of winning in a Democracy? Somebody should have told HRC that BEFORE she attempted to change every single metric that would GIVE (not EARN) her the Democratic nomination.
Last time I checked, the only way to secure the Democrat’s nomination was by a delegate count, not popular vote.
And by the by, it was HRC’s own biggest cheerleader, Terry McAuliffe and Harold Ickes, who helped to design and threated to implement these rules if states like Michigan and Florida tried to cut the line. I guess those things don’t really matter when you’ll do anything to advance your own ambitions instead of what’s good for the country or the party. Such a sad thing for a Democrat to have to resort to…
Ha! Ha! Ha! How predictable. More Obama roolz.
Just a few months ago you folks were shrieking that the
Super D’s shouldn’t overrule the will of the people - the
popular vote. Now the will of the people not so important.
It’s Obama that is willing to leave a slashed and burned
party behind him. Although he claims he is the “post racial”
candidate, he has fanned the flames of racial divisiveness.
And let’s not even start with the insulting of women, the
elderly, latinos and “hillbillies”. You guys are nasty and scarey.
Get your unity hell away from me.
Geez… you sound like Charlie Brown’s teacher… *Wonk, wonk, wonk*
Give it a rest already. It’s OVER. Besides, BHO is up by 300,000 votes in the popular vote count (and yes, that does include Florda!). How can you make a CREDIBLE argument for MI when he wasn’t even on the ballot? I guess you follow Harold Wolfson’s school of thought that the PR primary vote should count on June 1st… even though they DON’T VOTE FOR PRESIDENT!
ROLMAO!!! Thanks for making my day!!
ABC News popular vote count - HRC 16,691,639 BHO 16,648,060.
http://abcnews.go.com/politics
Apparently you also have numeracy issues.
Apparently, you have reading comprehension issues. The popular vote count I cited does not include MI, as per my original post. But once again, that doesn’t seem to phase any of the hysterical HRC supporters who will “cling” to any hope that they have a shot in hell.
If you need further slicing and dicing of your argument:
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/democratic_vote_count.html
To Scoutt: I am a woman AND a Latina. I’ve only been insulted by HRC’s sense of entitlement and “inevitablity,” and her willingness to resort to the RNC’s slash-and-burn, win-at-any cost playbook. There are MANY, MANY more women and Latinos who feel the same.
Please get over yourselves!
Oh Look! A latina for Obama. That’s rare!
:>))))))
i thought Latinas for Obama were a myth like unicorns!!
maybe we’ll get our unity ponies next!!!
What is a “True Dem?
Those “who feel the same” ?
Uppity, 1 of 400. Taken at face value, it is the pot calling itself white instead of the kettle.
Do latina’s for Obama require a special diet?
Spin all you want. This is not about Hillary. This is about voters being punished for something that they did not do. If Obama and the DNC want to stand behind that, they will have to accept the consequences.
Excuse me, but you don’t speak for THIS LATINA or for the 60% that voted for Hillary in the primaries.
Hillary has visited our neighborhoods all arcross the country, takes the time to hear out our issues and makes sure that local & state politicians come through.
Hillary has been responsible in actively supporting and campaigning with Latino politicians & prominent cLatiuno community leders to make sure we have representation in our local, state and federal offices.
She has apppeared numerous times on Spanish-langugae media programs & has a great grasp of Latino issues.
You don’t speak for me, nor the majority of Latinos that support Hillary - so don’t try it.
Why shouldn’t the popular vote in Michigan count? The only reason Obama removed his name from the ballot was because he was so far behind in the polls he needed to have an argument for discounting the way the state voted. Maybe that will play in the convention and he’ll manipulate his way into a nomination he has not earned, but the backlash in November won’t be pretty. This is why McCain leads Obama in Florida by 9 points. Anyone keeping an eye on the polls and the electoral college map knows that the Dems are doing what we do best: snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
You know for some reason “True Dem” and Obama-nuts just doesn’t go together.
For your information, Puerto Ricans will not hold a caucus but opted for a primary due to overwhelming percentage of people wanting to vote. (Usually 80% of the population votes -great testament to democracy). Hillary is leading with 70%, BO has 30%.
Out of 2 million votes cast, that translates to 900,000 plus in Hillary’s column. That’s reason enough for Barack Hussein Obama to freakishly declare victory before the bell sounds, indeed before convention delegates have VOTED.
What flavor is that arsenic laced Kool-Aid, True Dem? Straight, no chaser?
this is great. True Dem and latina woman is so hateful, is just like most of Obama voters, but not ALL. They are some great people there, but they voting for wrong candidate, they will be sorry, and they know that very well, maybe that is why the are so angry, betray by their IDOL!!!
Latina, good for You, what Hillary did, that You hate HER, . You must be from a groip of people who are making more then 150000???
Dont tell You latina people that You hate Hillary, You will have a lot of people who will hate You to!!!
The only one playing by the ’slash-and-burn’ RNC handbook is BO.
HE is the one smearing his opponent as racist. HE is the one using an identikit ‘Harry and Louise’ ad to attack Hillary’s UHC plan. HE is the one leaving out the FACT that her gas tax holiday plan is PAID for by a windfall tax on the oil companies.
You don’t provide specifics of Hillary’s attacks only that she attacks. I know, I know BO doesn’t deal in specifics — if he or his followers say its true it is true.
Give me a break, SWEETIE!! Oh and get over yourself.
Caucus states don’t have a popular vote. They have a calculated metric based on delegates won and they tend to disenfranchise a large number of the population. That is, suppress their vote. So, it’s a skewed number to begin with.
The popular vote is based on ACTUAL votes cast by real people. Not a false metric that someone devised.
Hillary has won the popular vote by any measure by ACTUAL votes cast for her by real people. Not forumlas to guess at what the actual vote would be.
exactly.
seems to me that caucus votes should be counted just like other votes - one person, one vote. so if 3000 people show up in some red state, that counts for 3000 people, not 300000 or whatever based on some bs projection. if the state wants more “credit” for its votes it can hold a primary.
True Dem ….
As a political move, Obama took his name off the MI ballot … his choice. he tried to embarrass Hillary … by assuming the UNCOMMITTED votes would surpass Hillary and he could make her the butt of his jokes… and it didn’t work.
Yet, Obama had a chance to redeem himself and agree to the revote! No money out of his campaign… he could have had want he “wanted” a chance to campaign there …. and he BLOCKED THE REVOTE!!!
WHY? He was scared… that is why.
His personal ambition is ahead of the people.
Hillary or McCain will be the President.
I worn people, as more as possible, that Obama Hussein Barak is only for HIMSELf. I listen most of His speaches, to make sure, that I am not just ampty as He is!!! To just make sure, that , when I will respond to angry Obamas supporters, I must be 100% sure, what I am talking about!!!
So, You are absolutely right, this man has betray His own people, and Edwards just prove to US, that He is the same as OBAMA!!!
As I recall, it was Obama who used his very own wonderful perfect judgement to remove his name from the michigan ballot. He was ordered or required to do so. Then he told the voters to vote “uncommitted” and yet, Hillary still won. Kind of like his California request for republicans to become “democrat for a day” so they could vote in the primaries. He is such a typical politician. I’d rather trust a politician whose flaws I know, rather than someone who claims to be flawless, who really isn’t. Whenand if BO announces himself King, err, the nominee, I will be officially switching my party affiliation from Democrat to Independent. Only the democrats, in a year where they should win by a landslide, put up a false nominee to assure a loss come November!
He wasn’t ordered or required to do so.
(correction)
You are so naive, You think that Obama will win with out of those who will not vote for HIM in General E. DNC knows, that HE will not, and no metter what delegates (super or popular votes)will support Hillary, She will be the winner, because Obama He will not win!!!!, He can not win, if WE,voters-democtrats(!) wont support HIM, and this is the real scenario, so stop dreaming, get real!!!
I can see the anger in faces of my friends, and 21 of them change to Independence all ready, I am the next, and this movement is growing. DNC will pay a huge price for discriminating HILLARY!!! We are fed up with Haward Dean and Obama!!!
bravo Scoutt, You are great.Hillary will win a bigger price, by starting Her own Party, and She will start mov,ent as no one see YET!!! DNC and DNC Democracy are goig down to drain. They got what they deserve, Donna Brazil playing safe, just like Obama 130 times in Illinois voting on issues, not YES not NO, maybe??? CNN, Anderson360,Wolf Blitz all deserve each other The pay day will come unexpected!!!
Yup and that number is 2209
Andy!!!!!!!!!!how do You know, that is 2209, yesterday was 2026. What this meens fro Hillary????
You wouldn’t know what was good for the country if it bit you in the ASS. Speaking of what’s good for the country, why is Obama acting like he already won and underminding the voters in the remaining states.
Also why is he so afraid to debate with Sen. Clinton
could it be because he never knows what he talking
about and because he’s an embarrassment to himself and to the democratic party.
You are asolutely right, Obama is lost case, and it will be proven soon!!!DNC will pay for what they did to Hillary. She is tough, smart and quick. Moon. Syberia, maybe Middle East, Obama has there great supporters like; Militia, Hamas….Trinity Church, Wright,Frranakhan, o boy. what a PARTY!!!
true dumb — (Dem). Hillary won Florida and Michigan Obama did not. Hillary won with Democrats Obama cannot. Hillary hangs around with people of love this country. Obama does not. Hillary leads in the Popular Votes and can beat McCain in every industrial state — Obama cannot.
Hillary was strip from averything , incl. to defend Herself . Media incl; DNC,CNN, MSNBC,MoveO< Progressive Radio ,and on , and on, They didnt give Her time on their programs, they lied to people, they didnt publish the real truth about Obama pass, and Michelle to, they lied and lied and lied, they promote hate toward Hillary. Also, they especjaly DNC and CNN!!! took Her rights to proof that She is the only chance for US the real democrats!! accusing Her of beying RACIST!!!
CNN was showing Obama with a little breaks for commercials, they were giving Hillary meyby 5 minutes daily the rest was mostly for Obama,. Progressive radio-Radny Rhodes, call Hillary a liar and a HORE, It majke me sick to my stomach, when I see Obama, and His croonies. But the truth will prevail. I will love to see all those, who betray He, if She wins!
Here’s your problem. Perception is all. He won his delegats from states like Alaska…..400, count them by nose….400 Dems.
The disparity wouldn’t be noticeed in a usual year where there’s a clear winner.
Boy, are we noticing this year.
Therefore, the argument he has?
Toast.
He’s tanking. He hasn’t shown well except in his AA group since January.
He’s been losing votes rapidly.
He’s the frontrunner who is bound to lose now.
Yes, it is absolutely outrageous that 400 people from one state could entitle him to the delegates. Something has to be changed about the Dem nominating process. This is just insane.
A front-runner who loses by 41 points and is about to get shellacked again is not a legitimate front-runner, delegates or not.
He can announce it, if he likes, but those sds are free to fly right back to the clinton nest, too.
And she’s not going away.
So he’s going to have to hope that tape of Michelle doesn’t hit before the convention.
Larry,
I think I saw No Quarter cited on Fox. Can you get a little face time on their network? MSNBC has become a total disgrace. Matthews and McAuliffe went at each other pretty good the other day. Good for Terry for calling Matthews Obama’s campaign manager.
I would love to have seen that! But I no longer turn on MSNBC or NBC for any reason whatsoever. They are dead to me.
ditto. haven’t seen them since february. don’t plan to ever see them again. when their ratings tank, they’ll lose their jobs. works for me.
The Democratic Party ship has lost its moorings and it is now adrift in a sea of uncertainty. A parrot in Jack Sparrow’s ship, ably assisted by a gang of both old and young paleo-liberal and neo-liberal buccaneers, have taken possession of the ship that lost won a race for the presidency in 1996. The situation is becoming more grim as the party elders refuse to acknowledge an electoral catastrophe of their making by disenfranchising the swing states of Florida and Michigan - and by stubbornly refusing to acknowledge the edge that a female senator has with both swing states and reliably Democratic strongholds over Jack Sparrow’s say-anything parrot. The solution? Let the ship burn in November and build an new one. B.O.W.L.* Big Time in November! If we can’t have a Capt. Hillary at the helm of the ship of the Union, I’d rather have Uncle John than the Irreverent Jeremiah and the rest of the Obama ship crew!

Dora — too right — the Democratic Party lemmings will go over a cliff together because would rather lose than not be politically correct. Thank you BO for showing us what the Democratic Party is willing to stoop too rather than concentrating on winning an election for a change. And yes Obama will lose.
Excellent Larry: brilliant analysis and spot on.
Talking about NARAL; Keenan made an additional outrageous comment. How insulting can this woman be?!
From:
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0508/10408.html
(emphasis mine).
I am outraged at NARAL’s travesty.
Two points for Keenan: shove your paternalistic and demeaning “broken hearts” comment
up your —- We support HRC b/c of her head: her brillant mind, policy savvy and qualifications. Heart has nothing to do with it: those are the sissy Obama supporters, you got confused.
(2) How can you support Obama whose “heart” was indeed with John Roberts: didn’t you feel strongly enogh against Roberts that
you run a strong ad against him ? Your support of Obama and Obama’s “heart” regarding SCOTUS do not jibe.
I think what Keenan is trying to tell us is that her check has cleared and Hillary’s supporters can go screw themselves.
hillary’s supporters, however, will screw obama instead. couldn’t happen to a more deserving asshole.
It will be interesting to see Gore’s position when Hillary wins the popular vote count. Especially since he was in a similar position in Florida in 2000 and the Supreme Court intervened, disenfranchised the voters and selected Bush as President.
Also, the Obama campaign is running against the last Democratic president, Clinton’s, record and praising the Republican administrations. Bizarre, but true.
What they appear to have missed that it was the Clinton-Gore administration. Every time they dismiss and trash Clinton’s record, they are essentially including Gore in their assessment. Gore was Clinton’s VP for eight years and was a participant in many of Clinton’s policies.
Gore has been silent in this campaign but I wonder how he feels about that.
Gore will endorse barky on the 20th after he loses KY and OR.
I wonder how much Mr. O will pay to have that endorsement.
No, I don’t agree with you. Gore may have issues with the Clintons but, in my view, he’s too intelligent to put himself in the middle of this fight. Also, he may have some vestiges of loyalty since, as I said before, he was part of the Clinton-Gore administration. Why would he want to repudiate that? And he must know that if he endorsed Obama it would be a terrible blow to the Clinton campaign. Essentially, he doesn’t have a dog in this fight, so why should he get involved?
I think that he will wait until the convention, when he has to get involved, and not before.
There have been so many defections and endorsements without valid justification in this race that it wouldn’t surprise me if Gore came out to endorse Obama. Many times I feel for Hillary as it seems everytime she turns around someone else jumps on the Obama wagon.
It’s a long time till August though, isn’t it.
If AG were to endorse BO it would be an indication of how much money it takes to buy a really high priced call girl.
Hmmm…..I hope tha Big Al will wait until the convention…
If he endorses then…It’s just party shit….To be expected although in principle disappointing….If Before well then I will have to take my gore books and the movie and….aw shit !…I can’t very well send them to the landfill…I’ll ship them to GAZA.
( sigh )….DON’T MAKE ME DO IT AL !
djcny — Nobody loves Clinton except the people. Just remember there is an agenda. 250 Mill has been spent to get this fraud the nomination. This mob of supporters doesn’t want Healthcare for All Americans. They want us to hurt real bad.
One of the people who so strongly supported Obama is Teddy Kennedy. In 1994 when everyone was talking about Healthcare for all Americans — Teddy said he didn’t know it was a big issue or he would have come up with a bill. 14 years later he still has never come up with any bill to provide Universal Healthcare. Now Teddy appears to have had a stroke. Thanks to the American People he will have 100% paid coverage for all his hospital and doctor bills. I wish him well and hope that he recovers quickly — perhaps now he might understand what Hillary was trying to accomplish in 1994 with Healthcare for all Americans and will support her efforts on Healthcare in 2008.
JES I AGREE….I’m prayin that principle trumps the Siren’s Call…
would like to agree, but think gore will take the petty route taken by all the rest of the jerks. i’m sure he blames bill for his loss, even though it was his own fault. and loyalty in politics doesn’t exist.
the only reason i see gore not endorsing obama is if gore sees it as hurting gore - not that he gives a hoot about anyone else.
Gore or Biden maybe?
Some one should FORCE SOMEONE AT CNN, MSNBC & FOX, ETC to read this out loud on the news!!
Challenge anyone with half a wit wanting to argue to come on by………. we’re waiting for them!
Try to convince me what color the sky is on YOUR planet will you? I’m staying right here with Mother Earth.
I challenge Wolf, Lou Dobbs, Anderson, anyone CNN to READ THIS statement by Larry! I dare you to be REAL journalists and defy the barakoolaide for just long enough to read an HOUR’s worth of NO QUARTER blogs! I dare YOU!!

WE HAVE TO MAKE HIM LOOSE
so keep it up

But…but…but…the “RuleZ”.
The same rules that dictate that Super Delegates will decide this contest.
Fact is, there ARE no Rulez for superdelegates. They can do whatever they want. They were put in place thanks go George McGovern, to avoid a future catastrophe, also known as the Democrats having had their butt handed to them on a plate for putting up a candidate picked by kids and radicals–who were too far to the “left” for the majority of the party, which happens to be moderate, like it or not. Adults just don’t like kids and radicals to pick their presidents. They even had 19 year old delegates displacing party leaders. It was a real blast. I was around. That’s how we got Richard Nixon the second time. Does this sound familiar to you?
Here’s a transcript of an interview with McGovern as to how and why superdelegates came to be.
http://www.democracynow.org/2008/3/11/fmr_presidential_candidate_george_mcgovern_on
A load of bull , she went with the rules when she thought she had a slam dunk in the beginning . now that the ROOKIE is owning her she wants to call foul ,,, suck it up and move on
She’s supposed to have more experience , why can’t she close the DEAL
no you are wrong
she agreed to the rules
the DNC broke their OWN rules
they were only supposed to take HALF the delegates like the REPUKES did but they decided on their OWN to strip them all!!!!
now YOU get over it!
they broke their own rules
and they only applied the rules to the states that favored hillary, not the states that favored obamamesiah.
the fix was in from the beginning.
She has: PA, WV, OH, TX, RI. She won the important primaries, and she will win at least one more on Tuesday. Obama can only win undemocratic caucuses.
why can’t she close the DEAL?
Media bias against her.
Unfounded cries of racism against her family.
Obama taking huge money from oil companies and big business via bundling.
The threat of rioting to keep people in line.
The DNC leadership against her.
Idiot trolls like you who won’t see the truth about Obama and support her.
And best of all neither candidate can close the deal until August so what is your point? 2209 is all that counts.
she was about to close the deal
when obama came calling all reporters **sweetie** and **paying money** to superdelegates for thier endorsements and when media decided a woman can not run this country and then 17 ,18 yr olds like u fell in love with ***obamagirl** and went stupid
so its not hillary who can,t close the deal
its the americans like you who are so stupid they can,t even make thier choices based on facts ,who r living in lalaland and drinking koolaid and i am sorry —–did u say –u r also proud of this country —like michelle is ,,or did u say ,,,god da,,,america;;
go screw urself
“go screw yourself.”
Ah…..Obama’s “unity,” embodied in his shallow and uninformed supporters.
Your candidate NEEDS these votes in November, hot shot.
Best stop offending the very voters your candidate can’t win without.
broke the rules
u talking about ur bitter, arrogant, snob, waffles, koolaid, piper, clinging to pastor wright candidate BARACK HUSSIEN OBAMA
BECAUSE HE RAN ADS IN FLORIDA,,,,,
you are missing the point. the dnc will honor the will of the people it puports to represent or it will lose those people’s support. bashing hillary will not change that fact.
the ROOKIE is owning her ?
Words matter? To own another human being is called something…ahhh mmmm ahhh…
regmax — the one who can’t close the deal is Obama. No matter how much he games the system it ain’t happening. A year and a half of positive coverage by the media and he is fading. Why else would he want to announce himself the winner if he thought he could wait until the convention to do so. So he creates bad feeling among Democrats–nobody is important to Obama but Obama. They even have to pay their trolls to talk him up. How pathetic.
40% loss, no counties won by the candidate = “closing the deal” by Obama.
I have to ask: Why can’t Obama close the deal? He keeps losing the big states…he’s now down in the popular vote, and he was the heir apparent and frontrunner. Yet, more and more Democrats are saying no to him. Why can’t Obama close the deal?
Oh, that’s right…he can’t win mainstream America because we’ve clued in to what a bad candidate he is.
Gore was just the tie breaking vote … no more no less
regmax — Obama isn’t fit to tie Gore’s shoes. Show some respect for your betters.
Problem is, a guy like Obama, and his crew, are not in control, though they really think they are, in control of the world, actually, as they think they represent the US, and it’s firepower. It’s a function of their aberrant, immature psychologies.
And every time they feel in control, they do something stupid, and, as it appears they’re feeling in control again, I would expect another, um, BOLD move — kind of like Kim, and North Korea, when they fire a would be nuke. I swear, they think the same way, lol, no real perspective.
So don’t be surprised at what he does in regard to the election.
Speaking to a couple of people, they’ve been very very impressed with the work here at NQ, thought I’d pass it along, your hard work is making a difference, and is highly appreciated.
Come on Larry, that’s partisan snipering. You know if it was the rever
