Actually having a phone banking party for HRC here this afternoon with 10 friends. We’ve been doing it every Sunday since January. Fun times. Keep the calls up!

David Goodfriend, on LeftJabRadio, a show on Air America Radio:

“The Clintons point at West Virginia and say ’see? The country IS racist, so you have to vote for us!! Never mind your idealism, rub the stardust out of your eyes and be practical!”

Seconds later: “(The Clintons) dont want us to be idealistic, they dont want us to hope for something better, they want us to vote for them, the crack whores of politics…

Obama supporters- tell me why I should just “play nice” and vote for Obama if he’s the nominee, when I turn on “Progressive” talk radio and hear shit like this?

BTW I listened for another fifteen minutes and three callers- no one called Goodfriend to task for his stupid, vicious remarks. Big surprise.

I don’t listen to Airhead America and I don’t think the people in the swing states listen too much to them either.

Its the map, not the math. The DNC knows it. The delegates know it. They will have to find a way out of this.

Heck, it doesn’t even air here. Rush is on for his entire show, though.

Many years ago I used to listen to Alan Colmes (before Fox bought him out), but liberal radio simply doesn’t exist here anymore. Closest thing to it is NPR — which has got to be the most boring newscast on Earth. Between classical pieces and canned speeches, it’s stuff to put someone to sleep.

the clinton’s said no such thing. take this garbage elsewhere. sorry your hero cannot close the deal, but blaming his losses on everyone but himself only makes him look worse.

I am convinced it’s a cult. The more I study NLP and compare with his speeches and responses to people in public events, I’m convinced it’s become cultish.

I mean listen to that radio guy’s comments… “rub the stardust out of our eyes..” “they don’t want us to be idealistic” It’s like a cadre of people that are living in a fairy tale and attack anyone that speaks of reality. It’s frightening.

And no.. no one will take him or Air America to task for saying those awful things on the air. It’s too late for Obama or anyone to call on us to unite.

Holy crap !!! This is going beyond funny folks. We can not have this man in charge. We will be the laughing stock of the world, even worse than Bush.

Air America has gone way beyond good sense. I stopped listening to them months ago because ALL of the commentators on there are RABIDLY Obama. They’ve gone way past just left-wing radio; the’ve fallen off the earth.

Comment by John | 2008-05-18 14:29:59

I first purchased XM Radio in 2003 so I could listen to Air America Radio. If that network folded tomorrow, I wouldn’t miss it for two seconds. And I wouldn’t shed a tear.

Most of all, I wouldn’t lament the failure of Progressive Talk Radio. Because there’s nothing Progressive about Air America.

Sad thing is even on the Japanese daily sites, they invaded. Worst, it’s often Aussies and other Europeans chiming in, who only know enough to read canned scripts (wonder if they’re paid, too? It’s not like it’s their politicians).

Comment by Catriley | 2008-05-18 14:44:11

Which is so weird because my friend in Belgium tells me that all her friends across Europe are wildly in love with Hillary! They don’t like or trust Obama. But because Obama has become the darling of the facebook/myspace crowd, I have no doubt he’s being propelled by 16 year old bloggers over there… and the paid ones, too.

You must read Pringle’s Part V.

I have a lump in my throat. How did we get in this position? Obama must not be president. He should be arrested and put in jail.

Thanks for the reminder, Kathy…

A company called, Crucial Inc, won the 10-year O’Hare contract in 1997, while certified as a minority-owned, with its largest shareholder listed as Jabir Herbert Muhammad, son of the late Nation of Islam founder, Elijah Muhammad.

Jabir is sueing Rezko because he ,Rezko, put the house in a trust and used for collateral…

Two thieves arguing over ill gotten gains.

Susan, I love that vid! It reminds me of the stark difference between committed Obama supporters and committed Clinton supporters. They support him despite all evidence that he is a corrupt dirty politician without a shred of experience or clue about how to fix the mess the country is in.

We support Hillary because of her long experience, her very detailed plans, and because she doesn’t look down on us or treat us like we beneath her. And our support has grown as we’ve watched her fight against all odds and stand up to the worst kind of misogyny and betrayal from the media and her own party. Quite frankly, I’ve never seen a male politician fight so hard, certainly not a male democrat (although Bill has come close). She has a big, big heart, and she definitely has mine!

A Tom Davis Memo Everyone Should Read
Submitted by BDBlue on Sat, 2008-05-17 00:55.

Via Talk Left and andgarden, Tom Davis has put out a memo outlining what a bleak year he sees for Republicans. The one bright spot? McCain vs. Obama. You can get the memo by clicking on the link in this post, it’s a download. Everyone should read it. There’s a lot of good news in it for Democrats, but there are unpleasant realities about what Obama faces in November as well.

Facts here: IF you are a democrat you have TWO choices. Hillary OR Obama. Ok they both have their faults right? Totally. Ok but ‘if’ the people that voted for Obama BEFORE they knew about this “great unknown” - do you REALLY think they would vote him had they known? Here’s the deal…if Obama is the nominee then say hello to our next President - John McCain! Dems are going to be idiots for a SECOND time!

Comment by DianeJ | 2008-05-18 17:23:49

Well if it is not Hillary it is McCain……….Obama is too far left. END OF STORY KIDS!

Defeating trolls:

Yes ignoring them is fun, but those new to the site really don’t read that and read every post. It causes them to be sad and disheartened.

So, one key way is to mimic them once they post, write as their name and say how sorry you are that you were a troll and move towards loving Hillary.

Its instant karma and gets them freaked out. So those 400 fake trolls will never hurt me! Try it on the next troll and you’ll love yourself even more. Heck, use their name when you reply to their comment with a quote from Hillary or something positive from Hillary. It’ll really surprise new readers and neutralise the trolls. They then become useless against the newbies and won’t be moulded into depression…
