Bill Clinton Fights the Good Fight
By NoQuarter on May 26, 2008 at 5:06 PM in Current Affairs
(Thanks to V for the video!)
Since I signed up for the Clinton campaign press releases, I get the daily print-out of Bill Clinton’s schedule of appearances. It is astonishing the pace this man is keeping up — if that isn’t LOVE and COMMITMENT, I don’t know what is. (Which makes all the rebuking of Hillary for sticking with Bill in their marriage so silly to me — because marriage is about far more than sex. These two people, for decades now, have deeply respected and fought for each other, through thick and thin, and that is to be greatly admired.)
Here’s a bit more on Bill’s comments, via CNN:
Bill Clinton: ‘Cover up’ hiding Hillary Clinton’s chances
Former President Bill Clinton said that Democrats were more likely to lose in November if Hillary Clinton is not the nominee, and suggested some were trying to “push and pressure and bully” superdelegates to make up their minds prematurely.
Bill Clinton did not explain who he was accusing of “covering up” Sen. Clinton’s chances.
“I can’t believe it. It is just frantic the way they are trying to push and pressure and bully all these superdelegates to come out,” Clinton said at a South Dakota campaign stop Sunday, in remarks first reported by ABC News.
Clinton also suggested some were trying to “cover up” Sen. Clinton’s chances of winning in key states that Democrats will have to win in the general election.
” ‘Oh, this is so terrible: The people they want her. Oh, this is so terrible: She is winning the general election, and he is not. Oh my goodness, we have to cover this up.’ “
Clinton did not expound on who he was accusing. ….
The former president added that his wife had not been given the respect she deserved as a legitimate presidential candidate.
“She is winning the general election today and he is not, according to all the evidence,” Clinton said. “And I have never seen anything like it. I have never seen a candidate treated so disrespectfully just for running.”
“Her only position was, ‘Look, if I lose I’ll be a good team player. We will all try to win, but let’s let everybody vote, and count every vote,’ ” he said.
The former president suggested that if the New York senator ended the primary season with an edge in the popular vote, it would be a significant development.
“If you vote for her and she does well in Montana and she does well in Puerto Rico, when this is over she will be ahead in the popular vote,” Clinton said. …
I LOVE YOU, Bill. I love you for fighting for Hillary, not because she is your wife and your devoted partner in life, but because you know — better than even us, her most ardent supporters — what a superb president she will make.
We are as puzzled, befuddled, and shocked as you by the efforts to quash her candidacy.

Clinton, it is time to form a new party. Lets get rid of the democratic party.
Amen! They do NOT deserve Hillary, Bill or us.
I’m with what and how anything gets off the ground that is built around the kind of being a Democrat/democrat that the Clintons represent.
I certainly never bothered to really expend any energy truly believing in the Democratic party until Bill Clinton came along and I will follow them anywhere they want to go. And this is due to the fact that I truly believe that the schasm between what kind of truly honorable people they are and the rest of the bunch of folks who can be bought is enormous.
BTW, I always blamed Monica. After all, I was that age once and I remember what kind of power that can wield… even without the pizza.
No shit. They’re all wusses anyway. One double term since the second world war? Migod talk about losers. And who’s the only one to win a double term?
No, frankly, I think Bill and all the rest of us REAL Democrats need to stay right where we are!! Let the Obamabots go form their own party — we were here first, and we stand for the REAL principles of the Democratic Party — not for the candidate de jure. I’m so tired of these neophytes lecturing me on my party and pushing me out. Well, I’m staying and I hope you all do, too.
Poor White– I have been thinking that exact same thought! New party needed.
It is hard for us to watch the party turn it’s back on the most successful members it has known in decades. The Clinton’s deserve respect and to be given the same loyalty they have given. God Bless them and put Hillary in the White House where she deserves to be!
They Clintons the best offer yes to have, and the DNC prefer to choose the man from Kenya!
She has done so beautifully in her visit in Puerto Rico, she knows how to interact with the Puerto Ricans, how to convingcily transmit her message in how she will provide help to the Island to recover from the ail of the bad economy. She and Bill have helped the island very much. And the people have a special place for them ‘in their hearts’. It is not easy to win Puerto Ricans’s heart.
Even artists who are going to visit the Island for the first time, are scared, since they know if they conquer Puerto Rico, they will do great in their careers. The people in Puerto Rico do not easily fell for ‘the hype’! If they do not like an artist, the artist will know immediately, ‘no applause’… They studied your face, eyes, behavior, to see if you are a sincere person.
It is important to understand that the people from Puerto Rico will call their family who live in USA and will tell them to cast their votes for Hillary, they not only influence in winning delegates and super delegates for her, they can influence their people who already live in different states to remain loyal to her.
Congratulations to Benicio del Toro, for his award in Cannes Festival, another Puerto Rican bringing glory to such small island, ah? but big in talent, courage.
It is nice to see that Sen Rodham always has that lovely smile, you look at her and she radiates energy, life! Watch the pictures in yahoo, type ‘hillary clinton in puerto rico’, and click in images…great ones and at the link below..watch her having fun drinking a beer, curiously the brand of the beer is PRESIDENTE!

So different to watch Mit-chelle in this funny picture that shows her ‘next movie’ called The Diary of a Mad Black Woman the movie! What an angry ‘first lady’! Learn from Hillary Mit-chelle!

For you both great americans, my dear Clintons:
If I could I will sing it to her at those meetings!
THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM,
To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go
To right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star
This is my quest
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far
To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march into Hell
For a heavenly cause
And I know if I’ll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I’m laid to my rest
And the world will be better for this
That one woman, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable star!
Arriba Hillary, if the DNC ask you to step down to do it for the party, tell them, no you have to keep fighting for your people. Tough decision loyal to the party or to the people that has been fighting for you Hillary? There is no party already, they do not want to abide by the rules, why the rush?
If you abandon us, we will feel defeated again for a person who surrender to the pressure of a party. Al Gore did that and look what happened.
The wrong man took the presidency.
No, be brave. I know Pelosi thinks she is the Queen and won’t tolerate you (Hillary) looking at her, as the Madame Commander in Chief, oh I would love to see Pelosi’s face addressing Sen Rodham properly, with all due respect to the new MCIC!
Gratis for such beautiful and strong words.
Milly, Brava! You said it so well. I enjoyed every word and was grinning from ear to ear the whole way.
Si, Arriba, Hillary, Arriba.
DEMS ! Let’s get this right.
It’s our Hillary,Stupid.
How about a Clintonista party!! haha…I’m a Clintonista for life!! Clearly the democratic party does not share my values!

Oh I’ll never forgive you for that!
Agree Hope….IT IS POLITICAL SUICIDE AND ILLOGICAL….OBAMA’S CONTINUOUS DENEGRATION OF THE CLINTON/GORE ADMINISTRATIONS IS APPALLING AND IDIOTIC !….
Here we have the most successful Democratic president since FDR and the only political weapon of substance…The former first Lady who changed history by becoming a twice elected member of the Senate ( a feat who’s closest silmilarity was when Eleanor Roosevelt was appointed to the UN ) The Roosevelt allusions are truly uncanny with this political couple…
And we have Al Gore who’s success internationally is both admirable and astonishing given the dabacle of the HIJACK of 2000…
*** Whenever the Obama campaign smears Bill Clinton they are also smearing Al Gore as Bill’s adminstrative triumphs were also Al’s…They were a remarkable team….***
HOW LOGICAL IS IT FOR THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY TO ATTEMPT TO RID ITSELF OF 3 OF OUR BEST AND PROVEN SERVANTS HILLARY, BILL AND AL ?
IS IT ANY WONDER AL GORE DID NOT SEEK TO RUN FOR POTUS WITH THESE PARTYOGLIARCHS AT HIS BACK…I CAN ONLY MARVEL AT THE COMMITMENT AND COURAGE OF SEN. CLINTON….
**** By the way….My increasingly bitter old dog Harry heartily enjoyed the clip from his favorite Ol’ Rascal Bill….Bill Clinton was my JFK and Hillary is my FDR with a healthy dash of Truman in the mix….I admire her and trust her….and like Eleanor she is the soul of the party I have belonged to since 1979…..OBAMA IS A FASCIST WHO MUST BE STOPPED…..***
THANKS AGAIN FOR A GREAT POST….IT’S ALWAYS GOOD TO SEE BILL
*** BILL CLINTON FOR FIRST DUDE ! ***
A new alternative Democrat party, to be named, headed by the Clintons. They have the people behind them. Sometimes history is made when you least expect it. Our time is now.
I hoped this happens I actaully just wrote a post on my blog today hoping for such a thing. We really need a moderate party in the US. The right wingers are all wrong and so is the far left. The best presidents have always been in the middle.
The “New Wave” party. Would that be cool!
Over at Hillbuzz, they suggested the “Phoenix” party, rising out of the ashes of the fiasco known as the 2008 Democratic nomination.
it should be ;;DEMS WITH BRAINS ::: PARTY
or the ‘Dems who are Impervious to Kool-aid Party’.
When he came to my little town back in April, it was such a thrill. Over 2,000 people turned out to see him. I was able to get up front and take some great pictures of him. He had a similar message for us. He said, “When people tell you that you should quit, it’s because they’re afraid that you’ll win.”
Wow. Lucky you. I’d be so thrilled to ever get to see him or Hillary speak. I’m glad you had such a memorable experience.
Two weeks before Bill spoke in our town, I went to Fayetteville, N.C. and saw Hillary in person.
Here’s a link to my blog post with a few of the pictures I took.
http://lkcampbell.blogspot.com/2008/03/she-was-worth-wait.html
I was fortunate enough to see them both this primary. Bill came to Texas before things heated up here. Lot of AAs were in attendance. Then, Hillary about a week before the vote. Most of the AAs had left by that time but the ones remaining worked very hard for her.
I AGREE….I think Bill traveling around the country has done so much fo both our party ( again another great service to an ungrateful party establishment )….and our country….It’s like recieving a civics class from the master and generates renewed interest in the body politic who as felt abandoned and demoralized….There are all kinds of folks who show up just to listen and why should’nt they he is a former POTUS of note….
UNA SALS VICTIS NULLAM PERE SALUTEM
( KNOWING THERE IS NO HOPE CAN GIVE ONE THE COURAGE TO FIGHT AND WIN…)
My daughter got lucky she stood in line forever and finally got to shake Bill’s hand! She also got to see Hillary (as did I) when she came a week later!
Thousands were turned away. She ended up winning 19 of 20 counties in WNC.
So our hard work did some good. Still lost the state but we tried.
How could she lose the state winning 19 out of 20 counties. This method of counting needs to be redone.
noooo 19 of 20 counties in my district!!!!! The state has much more than that!
see the map of NC here
LOL
Note that Dawnelle says that Hillary won 19 of 20 counties in WESTERN North Carolina. Take a look at the map on this webpage. It shows that Hillary did fantastically well in the Appalachian part of North Carolina but did not fare quite so well in Eastern North Carolina, particularly in “urban” areas like Raleign and Fayetteville.
thanks for the back up! ^5 :-]
How could she lose the state winning 19 out of 20 counties.
You ask a friend of mine from AKP&D Media in Chicago - or a representative thereof - to do the count. Remember what Joe Stalin said: what’s important isn’t how people vote - it’s how people count.
Dawnelle,
Your reports before and during the NC Primary were nuggets of gold for all of us.
Western NC is gorgeous and I am from NH so it would have to be as spectacular as it is to impress me.
Unfortunately those near I-95 are not as fun or as interesting as those in Western NC,
You worked your heart out and took the best part of NC for Hillary - walk proud for your success.
Cheers.
You did not fail - The National Media failed you!
Cheers to you Nellie and thank you!
The Hillary group up here is really a great group and still pretty active.
Bill normally gets huge fees for speaking. This campaign has, indeed, been a win-win for we regular people. I simply love hearing him talk! That man can put ideas into words like nobody else.
And he’s loving it, too. To think people said he was not “presidential” of him to be doing this. What stuff and nonsense. I can’t imagine a more rewarding chapter in his life than to be back out doing what he absolutely loves to do.
It’s been a sheer pleasure to see him enjoy this so much. Even his mistakes were funny to me.
The media is already jumping all over this saying its hurting Hillary. Funny how when Bill speaks they say it hurts Hillary, but when Michelle talks her trash they all ignore it. And of course Obama tells everyone they better leave his wife alone. Lets jsut wait and see how much they leave his wife alone after the video is shown.
Yeah - it hurts Hillary by making her stronger and more popular.
True. There’s one more thing we need in addition to another party, and that’s an independent press that will honestly report what’s happening.
As President Clinton said, they try to cover up or hide the fact that she’s winning by being so biased in their coverage of the two campaigns. As far as their favorite lie — that his campaigning is hurting her — the media apparently thinks if they repeat it often enough, she will stop using one of her most effective weapons.
They also apparently think that if they also constantly repeat the lie that she has no chance to win that we will give up and stop working for her and donating to her.
They are badly mistaken.
“in addition to another party, and that’s an independent press”
Third Party
Americans are too politically naive, too under-educated, lack the attention span and are too self-absorbed to comprehend another political party.
Independent Press
There is no press, just the business interests of Time-Warner, News Corporation, Viacom and Disney. These media cartels must be atomized before we can begin to get a press has a chance of educating and informing intelligent voters.
For intelligent voters loop back to “Third Party”……..
or reflect upon the intelligence of the population that elected Bush twice.
I agree that it’s too late in this election cycle; however, as the R&D parties no longer meet the needs of most people, a new party is necessary.
The Populist party at one time nearly won. It needs to take out either the Rep or Dem party.
For third parties to be viable, we need to reform the way elections are done. Personally, I advocate Instant Run-off Voting (IRV) as the replacement for the simple majority system we currently have. With IRV, there are no “spoilers.”
You need more than an ‘independent’ press. You need a press with more top drawer female reporters, journalists, and ‘anchorpersons’. Jessica S hit the glass ceiling; that ceiling has to go away. You get women running the show in the telly and you start to control the political climate. Time for men to kick back at the bar and let women run things for a while. As Günther Grass said: patriarchy has failed miserably - give the women a chance.
Okay. I’m certainly not against letting women run things; but what I would actually like in my imaginary independent press is just honest, unbiased reporting. I don’t care which sex they are, what race or ethnicity, I’m just so sick of sneering, lying reporters with a much below average IQ and an agenda (and yes, it is because they are all owned by Time Warner, et al.; and I find the notion of them being “atomized” strangely appealing).
Can’t Helen Thomas and Walter Cronkite start some sort of online news service?
I just watched this video twice and I don’t see anything hurtful in it. Unless we’re playing (via Uppity) Corrente’s “Obama Golf” game! Oh, I get it! Okay, here’s how you play.
Bill: “The people, they want her. Oh my goodness, we have to cover this up.”
0. Cover up: something you wear over your swim suit.
1. Al Campanis, former LA Dodgers manager said that Black people can’t swim because “they just don’t have the buoyancy.”
2. Obama is Black.
3. Bill is a racist.
p.s. Is that a par 3?
I’ve been wondering why they wanted Hillary out and came up with an idea.
If she had already dropped out MI and FL would automatically go to Obama.
Just a thought.
Only when playing poker should one quit while they are ahead.
NOBAMA!
There are plenty of us who aren’t playing poker at all. We mean what we say. I’ve been in this movie before and I already know the outcome.
I went to see Bill Clinton at a Marriott when he came to Denver to speak at a Hillary fundraiser in January. The big money donors were positioned in front of the platform on which he stood and the rest of us stood behind ropes, cordoned off well behind the wealthy donors.
Bill gave a great speech, of course, and afterwards he walked right through the group of big donors to where the rest of were standing, shaking hands and talking to people.
He made his way around to me and asked what I did for a living and I told him that I’m a teacher. He put his hand on my shoulder and started talking to me about the No Child Left Behind debacle. He asked me if my students seemed well prepared for college and how I felt about state testing requirements. We talked for about five minutes about education and its needs, and each time he emphasized a point, he’d squeeze my shoulder, which is a southernism I grew up with.
I loved the Big Dog before then but after that night, Bill Clinton holds a special place in my little working class heart.
I only wish someone had taken a photo.
I got a great snapshot now in my head…
My portfolio misses him. And that’s another thing I shall never forgive. They villified the only president of only two we elected in thirty years–who served two terms and brought prosperity. Now we will make it 34 years, thanks to them. But the cycle always repeats itself. The fringe rear their marxist heads, they conjure up the children and excite them. they imagine they have got things all sewed up. But the time October rolls around, the electorate is horrified. Same movie every time. Dukakis, only taller. And this time, even more people are pissed and it’s not even June yet.
I shall enjoy it.
For one thing, I am thankful they both are forgiving…burn no bridges types. They keep their focus on the job and can work with anyone.
Hill and Bill ane the true Uniters.
And they don’t do it for a slogan. They believe in their hearts that they can help. And then they do help.
OT. What did Hillary do for “Axelrove’s” child as a special help when she was first lady? Anyone remember it from the time? All I recall , it was a kindness that was during a bad time for Hill.
I met Bill. He came to my small town on my birthday this year.
I like to think that “The President came to my town for my birthday.” I got to hear him speak for Hillary and got to shake his hand. The place was jam packed and he got the crowd roaring.
What an inspirational clear thinking man.
And imagine… Hillary will be even better as POTUS.
That’s a wonderful story! To think, we could have had this election in the bag, with a wonderful president and Bill as “first man” - two for one! I’ll never forgive “them” for what they have done. And good for Bill he didn’t “expand” on “they”. He’s no fool - we all know.
OT
Since March 4th Hillary has won 7 out of 11 primaries and who knows who won Guam. What happened to the recount???
Vote totals since Ohio
Hillary
6,502,507
barky
5,977,295
Giving Hillary 525,212 more votes than barky since March 4th.
Can you say momentum.
Hey scott, how are the people in Jupiter feeling about Barky blocking their votes?
Lots of redneck racist out here. So they will be voting for McCain.
I’ve been noticing a lot of “COUNT OUR VOTES” bumper stickers lately.
I’m sorry. I don’t see any cover-up. All the polls are available and promoted by the organisations paying for them. The Clintons choose to speak about the ones they like and Obama supporters promote the ones they like, both in order to influence undeclared Super Delegates. And so far, the Super Delegates have seen fit to be more impressed with how much Obama will help down ticket than Clinton will.
How is this a coverup?
He’s not talking about the polls. He’s talking about the push by party higher-ups and the media to get Hillary out of the race.
No party leaders or media are sighting polls favorable to Hillary and suggesting Obama drop out.
Oh, never mind. Why bother.
Oh, please. BO has the MSM in his pocket. They tout his good numbers and ignore her BETTER numbers. When was the last time you saw an electoral map on BNN or MSNBO? Rasmussen has stopped polling Hillary against BO. Whenever there’s a poll showing Hillary ahead, it’s ignored and the MSM instead goes to some obscure poll that shows BO leading. It’s all there for anyone wishing to see it. The bias is BLATANT.
Rasmussen hasn’t stopped polling Hillary v McCain. They just don’t mention her in their headlines. You have to read further down in the poll to see that she beats McCain in key states by a far larger margin than Obama. Obama either loses, wins by a smaller margin, or is statistically tied. But you won’t hear that in the media.
And it’s not just polls. When a superdelegate announces for her, it gets no publicity. And look how the media is now using his figures that he only needs 49 more delegates to win, which is a blatant lie.
I think the media hates this country more than Bill Ayers does. It’s like they’re not happy having given us 8 years of Bush, they want to do four more years of damage by trying to get the equally (or more so) incompetent Obama elected.
The cover up is by the Obama camp who ignores that they are sinking in demographics and regions needed to win in November and you have sycophants and a media that go along with it. There is no evidence Obama has helped downticket. So far, the opposite has been shown…. the so-called new voters, vote for Obama and nothing else. Clinton voters vote down ticket. Obama voters are participating in a high school popularity contest for prom king. It’s been a while since I was in high school… but the popular guy and girl did not win the crown and neither will O’boring.
Clinton is a suburb politician and is smoozing the term “cover up” for it’s effect in street theatre.
There is no obstruction of justice here, the venue we usually associate with the term “cover up”, for that you need destroyed evidence and pergery. No special prosecutor, no unindicted coconspirators, Paddy Fitzgerald you can take that vacation at last. Because the fix is in.
The crime of which Bill Clinton speaks is Orwellian in nature and is playing out before our very eyes — in plain sight — (not) brought to you by the collusion of Time-Warner, News Corporation, Viacom and Disney. They accomplish their goals by doing nothing, not reporting.
Bubba points out the obvious but its best expression is Joe Klines’ sangfroid-dripping comment in Orwell Rolls In His Grave, “If it happens but you don’t hear about it,
Did it happen?”
Same movie. Down ticket goes down as candidate goes down. It’s like the movie Groundhog Day again. Anybody who has seen the progression recognizes the stink.
I stood in the sun for over three hours to see the Clinton Campaign bus roll into Western New York in 1992. As I waited, I maneuvered myself closer and closer to the rope line so I could be sure to get a close look at my candidates. Every half hour or so, someone would announce on the loudspeaker that the bus was so many minutes behind schedule (it was pulling over every time the Clintons saw more than a few people standing alongside the road, making them very late!)
Finally the bus pulled in, a speech was given, and then it was all worth it because I got to shake the hands of Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore and Tipper Gore. What a great day.
What’s happening to the Clintons now- disgusting. I will never vote for Obama, and I will never give a dime to a party that did this to such wonderful people.
Agreed! And for them to smear them as racists is just unbelievable! After everything Bill and Hillary have done for African-Americans way before they entered politics. I can’t believe how quick some have copied Obama to throw the Clintons under the bus. What has Obama done for them? A speech? or for his constituents in Illinois for that matter other than filling them with Wright hate-speech and ingraining in them a culture of victimization and Rezko-type no heat housing. Obama is a fraud and people don’t need to dig very deep into his record to see that. He’s out only for himself and doesn’t care who he has to throw under the bus to get there.
I see that over on FDL that they are debating whether McCain or Barky will get Clinton’s female supporters. Disgusting. Seems to me that Clinton is not yet finished with them. And a goodly number of male supporters, too.

yeah - from Clinton to one of them. like hamlet said from Hyperion to a satyr.
I saw Bill Clinton in February and he is wonderful to listen to. He supports Hillary 100% and the love and respect he has for her is obvious.
The DNC wants someone they can manipulate. Hillary does not fit that scenerio and they fear that.
I greatly fear anyone who CAN be manipulated.
Not like CNN to say anything decent about our former and future presidents.
If the Clinton’s were just in this thing for their own self-aggrandizement, ego and power trip, they would have given up and gone back to Chappaqua and the Clinton Foundation a long time ago. They certainly had other choices of investments of time and money. Sure Hillary’s ambitious - since when was that a bad thing in America?
Folks seem to forget that it’s not about winning, it’s about addressing the real needs of real people (or what’s a Democrat for?). Susan, I hope you will get the chance to meet Bill and/or Hillary in person some day. You (like the others here) will not forget it!
In a previous thread someone wrote that on the afternoon the RFK flap blew up, the Tampa 9 news station was hyping The Politico on the air. Obama was in Tampa that day.
Their senior political reporter showcases a different web site every Friday and that Friday it was The Politico. Strange that it was that site on that Friday.
http://www.baynews9.com/Web.html
“It is astonishing the pace this man is keeping up — if that isn’t LOVE and COMMITMENT, I don’t know what is. (Which makes all the rebuking of Hillary for sticking with Bill in their marriage so silly to me — because marriage is about far more than sex. These two people, for decades now, have deeply respected and fought for each other, through thick and thin, and that is to be greatly admired.)”
Thank you for saying that, Susan!
Although I constantly worry about his health, I must
say how moved I am for how he is literally ‘work-
ing his heart out’ for his ‘Beloved’. He genuinely
believes that she will be a better president than he
was!!
Another thing that worries me is that she is the more cynical and has steeled herself to all the trash
that has been spewed against her. I don’t think he
can quite compute how people can be so utterly cruel
to her. Furthermore, the betrayal of the many must
be like a knife in him that they keep on twisting -
People can only relate to things THEY know and Bill
does not have those horrible qualities and he must
be really, really hurt by the actions of his’friends’.
I wish they knew how many TRUE friends they have acquired in their stead, here in America. We all,
I think, know how people love him throughout the globe!
Lastly, I never thought I would come to care for Hillary as much as I do Bill -
surprise, surprise!
I would think the Clinton’s are not babes in the woods, the man was President, and a very successful one at that. In part, because other than the usual suspects, no one stood in his way.
Didn’t have to.
Don’t underestimate them.
I was always a little jealous of Hillary to tell the truth. Because she had Bill, and I, like millions of red blooded American women, had a major crush on him.
Who would think 16 years later, she’d be running for President and I’d be rooting just as strongly for her,and guess what,…I still have a crush on Bill.
Clinton was the first president in my lifetime I could fully support, who, IMO, fully understood, fully got it.
My mother would say he was brilliant, and she was/is right.
I respect intellectual brilliance that works on behalf of the American people.
Though mistakes were made, (my sister was FURIOUS about the banking deregulation, and cutting welfare was wrong, too) he did much to advance this country, socially, and economically.
The republicans, et al, weren’t to be appeased in retrospect.
During this entire campaign, Hillary has always been my focus. Although I greatly admire her husband, it’s Hillary and only Hillary for this voter. I have COMPLETE confidence in her ability to make this country better, and I’d vote for her even if Bill wasn’t her husband. We’ve got to get her in the White House!!
We will remember in November.
So will the Seniors. And the Jews. And the gays and lesbians. And the latinos. And the Garlic Noses. And Florida. And Michigan. Major voting blocks, and all the Marxist party has to do is lose 30 percent of them.
I absolutely roar laughing when I go to blogs where Obama supporters start talking about Hillary losing her Senate seat here if she loses the nomination. Apparently if you live in Obama-world just thinking makes eveything so. Glad to have found this site - sometimes clear headed people can get so discouraged on the blogosphere. Nice to know there are still a few people around that don’t like Kool-Aid!
That’s some purty sour stuff with quite the pucker power, isn’t it?
Orange Kool-Aid gives me verbal Diarrhea.
The Senate does not deserve her she could do more somewhere else.
The senate needs her because the voters need her she has WON that election, and they are stealing it from her, and from us.
Who will advocate for the public?
No more 2000’s, please…
