Obama and the Jews

sultanknish.jpgBY SULTAN KNISH (photo left)

The part time occupation of the part time Jews in the major media outlets for the last week or so has been to tackle Obama’s Jewish problem head on, in the same way that major corporations tackle the public revelation their product is fatally toxic to babies– by shaking their heads, smiling weakly and assuring us that it’s all in our heads.

If we’re to believe the New York Times, the Washington Post and the rest of the good people at Media Central, the whole Jewish problem with Obama is the result of some provocative emails sent obama-jews.jpgout by Karl Rove in his spare time that unfairly paint Obama as a Muslim to some gullible senior citizens.

“There, there,” the media assures these elders, “Obama isn’t a Muslim. He’s the Messiah come to lead us to the promised land of big government, Cuban quality health care and environmental taxes on every ounce of bread we eat.” And on the way there he may stop by the Middle East to lead Hamas to Jerusalem.

“Hasn’t Obama said that he’s Pro-Israel,” the columnists bewails, “how many times does he need to say it.” They don’t stay to hear the reply that he doesn’t need to say it, he needs to be it. For a skeptical profession they seem oddly offended that anyone is taking a politician’s statements in an election year with a grain of salt. “Listen to the man,” they say, “pay no attention to the Zbigniew Brzezinski, George Soros, Tony Lake, Samantha Power and Robert O. Malley behind the curtain.”

Hasn’t Obama already fired Samantha Power who wanted an invasion of Israel and Robert O’ Malley who was already privately meeting with Hamas, they protest. That just leaves George Soros without whom Obama would be just another junior Senator angling for an entry level spot on a committee, Brzezinski who helped bring Iran and Al Queda into existence and the rest of Obama’s radicals, both from his Chicago Wright days and his Harvard period, who are all too full of thoughts on what should be done with America and Israel.

The media which until recently was doing its best to pretend that the only people who could possibly oppose Obama were Satanists or worse yet Christians, has decided to believe that the only Democrats who oppose Obama are the senile elderly, hysterical feminists or rednecks. And the media is sure that once Obama is officially anointed at the convention, they along with the Jews will learn to fall into line behind the Kossacks, just like their ancestors did in Eastern Europe. If not, there’s always a cavalry charge.

While the leaders of major Jewish organizations are being called on the carpet by the Democratic leadership and told that they will lose influence and face a major backlash and the destruction of the “Black-Jewish alliance” if they don’t get behind Obama right now and leap into action to reassure their communities that Obama is A-OK; the Jewish public’s concerns are being poo-poohed by the press which is certain those ignorant folks in Brooklyn and Miami Beach will follow marching orders at the polls as soon as their own leadership does. For now some of the Jewish organizations are holding out for assurances that will no doubt fall away once Obama stops by for a meet and greet over bagels and lox and assures them how much he enjoyed Fiddler on the Roof.

As the ultimate outsider who belongs nowhere Obama has shown a great talent for repackaging himself into a dozen ethnic and racial identities. Obama can be white or black. He can be Christian or Muslim. He can be a wealthy Harvard educated professional or a street level community activist. Like an MC Escher picture, he’s a collection of impossibly intersecting levels that seem oddly out of perspective for reasons that aren’t apparent until you try to follow his contradictions. With all that in mind, there’s no reason that Obama can’t also repackage himself as a Jew.

To that end, Obama is already reimagining himself as a Zionist thanks to a Jewish sixth grade camp counselor and speaking of his love for the writings of Leon Uris and Philip Roth. While it’s safe to assume that Obama won’t be giving any readings of Leon Uris’ The Haj, a book that captured with unnerving accuracy the psychological fault lines of Arab culture, he is displaying a talent more worthy of the literary works of other writers such as F. Scott Fitzgerald or Theodore Dreiser. The talent of recreating himself into what people most want to see, the gift of the true con artist.

Obama hasn’t begun name dropping Uris and Roth out of a sudden love for old Jewish writers. Instead he’s discovered a sudden love of the same things that elderly and middle aged Jewish voters who have jilted him are interested in. Like the cynical suitor who studies a girl’s habits to discover her tastes and mirrors them to seduce her, Obama has made it his practice to jump in and out of identities and personas. Today Obama is reading Leon Uris. Tomorrow there’s a rally in San Francisco and he’s reading Amy Tan. The day after that he will be connecting to Feminists by namedropping some Erica Jong. Which selection in the infinitely expandable Obama Book Club best reflects who he is? The answer is none of them. The only thing that reflects on Obama is that he is determined to be President and willing to say anything to make it happen.

Jewish voters are nothing more to him than another breed of cattle to be coaxed through the gates of the polling centers to vote for him. The Democratic party relies on a varied and diverse herd led by Judas Goat community leaders to win office and they’re good at managing the herd. Stop by for a pizza in Little Italy, a bagel on the Lower East Side, some won ton in Chinatown and a burger in Harlem. Shake everyone’s hand, smile, relate and then slip some assurances and earmarks under the table to the community leaders. The herd sighs. The herd is happy as they led back to the barn until the next milking or slaughter.

In making the choice to break with Obama. Jewish voters are being given the chance to allow a larger moral reckoning to win out over this cheap type of ethnic pandering that the Obama campaign is engaging in. It is not guilt that should motivate Jewish voters to reject Obama. There will be plenty time for guilt after 8 years of Obama have done their damage just as there was after 1946. Guilt is the luxury of those who made an unforgivable mistake. This is the year when we can prevent the mistake from being made. Guilt is the refuge of those who know that what they are doing is wrong but refuse to change. This is the year when we can change.

Obama is not our savior. Obama is no one’s savior but his own. As his cult of personality spreads, millions of Americans are throwing reason and rationality out the window to embrace the promise of a one man solution to all their problems. But Obama’s background has left him with two poisoned outsider’s gifts, a legacy of hatred for America and the ability to camouflage his real feelings to blend in anywhere.

When a nation brings a cult of personality leader to power, it is typically at a low point in its national self-confidence and finds an outsider to rule over them in the hope he will save them from themselves. Just as Hitler was an Austrian ruling over Germany, Stalin was an Ossetian ruling over Russia, Obama is an African Arab with a Muslim background positioning himself for the White House. With a slim record and a campaign built primarily around his outgoing personality, Obama is America’s biggest mistake waiting to be made. Let’s not play any part in making it.

We don’t need to be saved from ourselves. We need to be saved from leaders who think that we rather than they are the problem. We need to be saved from leaders who imagine that disarming America and destroying Israel will make our enemies love us. We need to be saved from leaders who have more empathy for the enemy than they do for the citizens they rule over.

We don’t need to be saved by a lifelong con artist with a manufactured biography who repackages himself to appeal to everyone while concealing his real sympathies behind a facade of multilevel marketing outreach. We need to be saved from him and only we can save ourselves from him.

Never does the old saying apply more:

“Tell me who your friends are and I will tell you what you are”.

Obama is NOT pro Israel. In fact, I wouldn’t be at all suprised if he wanted to reverse the direction of American support. Jews are doing their homework on this one. They won’t be hookwinked by Obama. The ability to understand the handiwork of charismatic leaders who capture the children for their own edification at the peril of others is ingrained in them.

Comment by S. Markom | 2008-05-27 10:28:09

Frankly all of my fellow Jews are not voting for Obama and they are all staunchly liberal. They are just not fools which is what Obama expects them to be.

How does a man sit in the pews of a jewish hate monger pastor for 20 years and expect anyone to believe that he never heard or read any of his hateful diatribes?

How does a man enlist the most noted anti-Israel foreign policy advisors and then expect Jews to believe that he would support Israel?

How does a man state a doctrine that he will meet with the arch-enemy of Israel, Ahmadinejad, inconditionally and expect any Jew to believe he has the best interests of Israel at heart?

Obama is a cheap low rent political hack whose rhetoric cannot be believed and his credibility is zero. I.n his complete inexperience and his ignorance he could be dangerous

What does Pro-Israel mean to you people?

The Israeli government is WELL to the left of its American supporters, talking to Syria and by extension Iran. Are they appeasers? Obama is following the lead of actual Israeli policy, not the whimperings of right wing Zionists in the US, those who call people Anti-Semites for being critical of ISrael from the left, while being happy to criticize Isrel from the right.

What happened to the Larry Johnson who was critical of Israeli policy?

So Mr. Knish are you a Hillary supporter?
(are you really a Sultan? and what does that mean anyway?)

You know she is for universal health care right? I believe Soros has donated money to her as well. I’m betting even GS is having second thoughts about Obiwan. I just think he is very much wanting a DEMOCRAT in office.

NOT More of the same. But I don’t know all of the gossip and inner wranglings. I just don’t like dissing good DEMS w/out more proof. I won’t get in bed with ANY republicans after the last 8 yrs unless they are BOLDLY thrashing their party for it’s HUGE criminal activity and blatant misdirection of government of late.

(I still won’t vote for them, there way of life is mostly opposite of mine)

Excellent post!

One comment about his jewish vote. On May 12th, in the atlantic magazine, the empty suit was asked about Isreal’s role in US foreign policy and he said ..”Israel INFECTS US foreign policy”

I had not heard of this, until one of my jewish friends called me and told me this, and she was telling me how her grandmother was very upset with this statement, and it basically reminded her of the holocaust, the WORD “INFECT” that the empty-suit used.

I had not considered that as a non-jewish person. But I do not believe the empty-suit has the jewish, or for that matter american values’s best interest.

I have no doubt in my mind he would sell this country out in a second if it was politically conveninent. Which is why, if Hillary is not the nom. I will wholeheartedly vote and campaign for Mccain. After all, I love this country over a political party.

Who thought Obama, dean, pelosi, brazille, kerry and kennedy could do in 4 months what the GOPs weren’t able to do in 15 years, and that is DESTROY the democratic party.

Comment by Dawnelle | 2008-05-27 09:18:20

ya got to wonder about his MANGLED MIND???

He said he didn’t think young girls should be “punished” with a child either!

PUNISHED???

Is that how he feels his MOTHER felt?

I am VERY PRO CHOICE but would NEVER think that!!!

If someone chooses to keep an unwanted or unplanned for child I think calling it punishment says a REAL SOMETHING about the author of that statement, imo.

He’s a mental ward case away from a white coat (again, jmo)

Comment by Karma | 2008-05-27 11:10:11

He didn’t even try and define that punishment as a result of a rape baby either.

Punished for having a baby is an odd way of revealing his trait of not taking responsibility for your actions. Among other mental issues…like you also point out.

It seems like his daughters are taught this trait also.

While he requires everyone else to take responsibility for their actions and actions HE decides they are also responsible for.

Clearly, there will be others that get a pass from almighty Obama.

I suspect their portfolios look better than ours.

To the original post…

I didn’t know Powers wanted to invade Israel!!?

Everyday there is more reading to do…Thanks for the article and new names to run down.

You have captured the MO of BO so well. And your caveat to Jews SHOULD be taken very seriously.

There are many things that scare me about Obama, but what will happen in the middle east if he were to become president is at the very top of my concerns.

Oy vey.

And the superdelegates refuse to see what every other American sees. He is friendly, concerned, diplomatic with all those who hate us, he is aligned with those who belittle and blame us, he himself stands in judgment and has little empathy for those he would preside over. None of this makes any sense at all. Why would any American vote for him?

Comment by Gerald | 2008-05-27 10:03:56

If he is the nominee what choice is there? McCain is all of what you accuse Bambi of and more. If the choice is between McCain and Bambi I will hold my nose and vote Democrat. I can’t stand Bambi but I am frightened of McCain. Besides Bambi while being a pig and a race baiter will select Judges that are more in line with progressive views at least I hope so.

I’m sorry but I am not willing to trade the Supreme court threat for other more dangerous fears.

This man’s affiliations with middle easterners of dubious character EXTREMELY scary and dangerous. This is expecially a concern because I truly see him as a Marxist surrounded by others of that ilk– and there is NO way I will vote for him.

As for Roe v Wade…

If my younger sisters lose Roe Wade it will be their own fault for taking the rights they have for granted, because they didn’t fight for them. They are complacent and can take the time to swoon over a sexy empty suit who has already set gender relations back a minimum of 30 years, and we haven’t even gotten to the General Election campaign yet. Serves them right. Not my problem. I know how not to get pregnant.

It’s my job to protect the rights I fought for that matter to me. This is a misogynist’s campaign and if younger women are too busy spawning over Leland Gaunt handing out Needful Things and discussing his vibrating phone when he leans on one of them, then they will have to learn to take the consequences of their own folly along with the consolations. Maybe then they will Get It. I have already done well in my life. Complacency is their enemy, not mine. Let em eat cell phones.

UPPITY!!!! I love your diaries - PLEASE PLEASE make this one into a full blown diary.

Yesterday I was bombarded with Obamaphiles telling me I will have the blood of this nation on my hands if I don’t vote for him. I told them this:

“Here’s what’s important to me…from another comment I posted today when I was told for the umpteenth time that I will have the blood of the world on my hands if I don’t roll over and vote for BO:

“We’re not buying it. YOU all have a chance - still - to select the most electable and experienced candidate. But YOU choose to drink the Kool-aide and sing Kumbaya while ignoring the facts that are in front of your noses.

So if there’s any blood on anyone’s hands, IT WILL BE YOUR HANDS, not mine.

I know who will end the war in Iraq; I know who will support pro-choice supremes (and I do NOT know that about BO); I know who will fight for UNIVERSAL health care; I know who will fight for equal rights and equal education for all of our children; I know who will come up with a sound energy policy (NOT Cheney’s BTW…but I guess BO pressed the wrong button that day…again!); I know who will work to keep and create jobs in this country; I know who will NOT privatize SS; I know who will react with a calm head and a strong heart if we are attacked again. AND IT’S NOT BARACK OBAMA.

You still have a choice and a chance. Take it. Or look at the blood on your own hands when President McCain takes office in January, 2009.”

Good answer.

That man doesn’t have the political juice or the intestinal fortitude to stop the war.

Powers even stated that he can’t predict the war in Iraq, and that he would still be there in four years, leaving Iraq is solely a campaign promise he doesn’t intend to keep. Obama himself has claimed leaving entirely will leave a humanitarian disaster.

So, that ‘blood on your hands’ claim is false political ground that Obama is trying to stand on, as well as his supporters.

Sorry we have heard that cry before and have voted for turds who claimed that they would save us from the wolf.

Now we can clearly see that the next MALE who will “save” us just happens to be the WOLF in sheep’s clothing.

So no thank you — I’ll vote McCain.

I was going to write in Hillary if snObama is forced on the democrats — but after all the abuse from the koolaid drinking Obamabots –

If Hillary is denied what she has won by virtue of the popular vote — then I WILL vote for McCain.

Hillary or McCain — for the sake of America there is NO OTHER CHOICE.

Comment by workingclass artist | 2008-05-27 12:31:28

Agree…as a humble student of History your reminder is an important one….The greatest threat to Islam ( historically speaking of course ) were the other two foundational Religions in the West…Judaism and Catholicism…
Now that the Catholic Church has finally given up the conversion crusade aimed at her theological father ( JUDAISM )…and sought amends and Judaism’s forgiveness; the bond will grow increasingly stronger…Afterall we early Christians began as heretical Jews mixing Pagans…
The recent Fate of the Excellent Archbishop in Iraq is indeed cause for alarm…In Fascist Islamic states there is no room for those outside the faith and particularly in Shite Nations the oppression is harsh and real.

We either continue to progress….Or Regress to the Dark Ages as Many Islamic States want….Real Democracy means Tolerance and that is something that is alien to many Islamic States…imho

I just DON’T follow like a lemming and hate immediately everyone that another blogger intimates.

I’ve never had a problem with Soros but I’ve never felt the need to pick his life apart. I THOUGHT he had donated to Hillary as well.

Comment by David Axisrutt | 2008-05-27 16:00:40

Soros is notorious for his rogue currency attacks. He’s also one of the first to ’show Barry around’. Do the research.

He’s also one of the major forces behind MoveOn and has contributed at least $1.5 million to them. But this is but the tip of the iceberg. Rumour has it he has an additional $40 million ready for Barry when he needs it. And who knows how many strings he’s pulled, favours he’s called in, and additional millions he’s bundled. And we’re not even talking about the corruption inside MoveOn or the connection to DailyKos. And there’s a reason for this. Use your imagination - or again do the research - if you’re at all curious. And all the best crooks always try to line pockets on both sides. What’s the difference between Ken Lay and Gary Winnick? Do the research.

Soros isn’t someone you want to have to dinner unless he drops off an envelope with few $100 K in used bills and has to leave after the starter. ;)

As CIC Obama will have at his disposal the world’s most powerful war machine, including it’s vast nuclear weaponry. He will be privvy to the most top secret material in the world. He will be able to influence global markets and be in the position to influence Middle Eastern governments. He will make and set national and international policy that will help determine our economy–in short, our very future would rest in the palms of his hand. Does the presidency of the United States of America sound like a position that should be left to the whims of a man who befriends the enemys of America–both communists and islamics? Not to mention our Judicial system and Obama’s ties to state, national, and international thugs. Israel should be very afraid even if our democratic party leaders are not.

One of the local politicians said you could talk to Obama and think he was truly on your side…and after he left, you’d be left realizing that he said absolutley nothing to indicate he was on your side (of any particular issue). I would love it if Sultan or Susan or Larry or Uppity could do a diary on the many faces of Obama - I’ve heard reference to The Picture of Dorian Grey…and I think the final paragraph would expose all of Obama’s ugliness to get what “he” wants.

As bad as you think the “Jews Against Obama” website is, it doesn’t hold a candle to what the DNC, the media, pundits and the Obama surrogates have done against Hillary on a daily basis.

Comment by Dawnelle | 2008-05-27 10:05:55

oh for real!

the likes of Lawrence O’Donnell and his WE HATE HILLARY group are pitifully ugly!

So what do we do? They are the ones with the microphone & the job and time slot to keep spewing their vile gossip and hate.

I just don’t want to become that which I despise

If I have to adopt their own warfare tactics to defeat Marxism in favor of Democracy, I will do it. We are not dealing with honest, gentle people here. We grow strong and fight back or we get Taken.

Someone once said to me that there are two types of people. Those who Get and those who Get Got. I don’t plan to Get Got.

I hear you and once I was a fighter too! (in my mind I still am)

I’ll leave it to those of you that still CAN physically fight the good fight

just don’t lose who YOU are in the process (and don’t forget to take your vitamins! LOL)

you know sometimes you have to look at and hear bad things in order to get the real picture. i sincerely hope you have done that. the problem with so many americans today in my humble opinion is that they run away from the ugly and turn to television among other things to get away from their problems. having done it myself i know of what i write. i don’t include you dawnelle in this characterization. it is general comment.

Comment by Dawnelle | 2008-05-27 10:48:52

except that with heart and thyroid disease you don’t rrrrrrreally want to spend too much time being rabidly angry

and the last 8 yrs has done a real number on me as it is ya know? LOL

I ease myself into the ugly

Like I do with cold pool on a hot day

Ha, remember early on in the primary campaign when some journalist asked each of the candidates what they would bring with them to the oval office?

Sen. Clinton said she would bring her copy of the Constitution.

Sen. Obama said he would bring Delores Kearns Goodwin’s book about Abraham Lincoln: Team of Rivals.

A veiled hint to Republicans that he’s a “friendly,” or another transparent attempt to liken himself to Abraham Lincoln. Either way, it was really smarmy. I can’t believe people cannot see through his facade. But worse, they know he is a complete farce but fall prey to his charm and vote for him because of it, like complete fools. A con has contempt for his “mark” because they are fools and are so easily targeted.

Obama is nothing but a malignant narcissist, as one analyst said, “the political equivalent of a sociopath.”

Thanks for this thought piece. It is hard-hitting and touches on an explanation for the personality cult that Obama has established. I had not considered that Americans are in that place of low self-confidence, willing to believe in a fairy tale.

My thinking about the importance of this election mirrors your comment about guilt being the refuge of those who know they are wrong but refuse to change. I looked for a candidate with vision and an action plan that was plausible. It seems so clear to me that we have a lot of rebuilding to accomplish after 8 years of tearing down vital government programs and services. This was, in my thinking, not the year for idealistic thinking.

The Jewish Democrats would be wise to not be bullied, mostly because anyone who approaches elections in such a bullying manner should simply not be trusted or given power. This method is being used on the remaining superdelegates. It was used on the AA superdelegates to switch. It IS Obama’s method, and it’s unacceptable. Threats should be viewed as nothing more than a sign of true weakness.

And this is not a time in our country for weakness.

“So Mr. Knish are you a Hillary supporter?”

Daniel Greenfield, aka Sultan Knish, was a Rudy and dog-killer Judy fan, lol!

Just so long as we know who our friends are!

Rudy is a morally bankrupt megalomaniac. Glad he got handily elminated early. He might have been the only one to get me to vote for Obama.

Hey, we’re keeping company with all sorts of Repubs these days, now that the Democratic party has been compromised by the misogynistic, Hillary-hating, anti-working class, so-hip-it-hurts, faux intellectual Kool Aid drinkers.

BTW, read this, piece. Pretty damn funny.

This diary was absolutely terrific. It goes to my diaries related to being a Jewish woman, over 50 who has been a lifelong democrat and cannot drink the Kool-aid. I know, from the many jewish friends I have through synagogue and community that they agree with your thoughts. I say”Never Again” and I think of your picture of Obama. It is exaclty mine. That of a faceless anything to anyone who will easily through any overboard and paint the characteristics he has ingrained in him through his associates (khalidi, ayers, rezko,).He is inebriated witha power that appears gentlemanly and sophisticated. This power bestowed upon him by yes, Jew hating Jews, (sadly there are a few)and liberla democratic apologists will lead his coronation and sadly, to loss of our country as a bastion for freedom, and Israel as a homeland for Jewish people. The Dems are plagued by their own elitests ho will elect him.

You diary was spot on. Want to read more. Thank you.

“As for Roe v Wade…

Let em eat cell phones.”

LOL -exactly!

Well said, Uppity!

HillaryMadamePresident,

Absolutely. Obama could not have risen as far and as fast without the approval of the most corrupt political machine in the country — the Daley machine, which, BTW, was instrumental in helping JFK steal the 1960 election.

Also, the fact that Richard Daley has given a rare endorsement of Obama (without coming out publicly and campaigning for him, same with Brezinski — wonder why?).

He’s been groomed for this part. They knew they could never put another republican front man, like GW, in the White House, so they have been making themselves a democratic front man to cover for the power elite while they do their business as usual, while fooling the American people into believing they achieved real change with Obama. As Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr. once said, “it’s not who you are that counts, it’s who people think you are.”

I’m certain Hillary would not play well with these guys, nor could she be controlled and would, instead, break up the frat party that’s been going on for decades in D.C. in their ongoing fleecing and betrayal of America.

All the more reason Hillary must take it to a floor fight at the Convention, in order to expose the coup that’s taking place right before our very eyes.

i think the real faces of barrack and michelle are going to be shown to the voting public soon. it may be after the convention, but we’ll get a good look.

“Read the whole Atlantic interview with Obama and it’s clear that Obama was referring to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as an ‘infection,’ not Israel itself.”

Chris, I am kind of with you…the Jews Against Obama site (not Daniel Greenfield’s site, as far as I know) references WorldNetDaily (or as we used to call it, World Nut Daily) — yet it is interesting that Obama parrots Rashid Khalidi’s own words.

And WND does clearly say it is the conflict Obama is referencing:

JERUSALEM – In terming the Israeli-Palestinian conflict a “constant sore” last week, did Sen. Barack Obama borrow the phraseology of a pro-Palestinian activist and harsh critic of Israel who has been described as a friend of the senator?

Columbia University Professor Rashid Khalidi also previously held a fundraiser for Obama. He has made repeated statements supportive of Palestinian terror.

In a much-quoted interview with the Atlantic, Obama was asked last week whether he thinks Israel is a “drag on America’s reputation oversees.”

Obama replied: “No, no, no. But what I think is that this constant wound, that this constant sore, does infect all of our foreign policy.”

http://jewagainstobama.wordpress.com/

….it turns out that the phrase “constant sore” has been used by Islamo-nutter, Obama supporting, so-called Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi.

Obama’s remarks, slammed by pro-Israel and Republican organizations, came five days after the Nation magazine published an opinion piece by Khalidi, titled “Palestine: Liberation Deferred” in which the Palestinian activist opened by calling the “Palestinian question” a “running sore.”

“The ‘Palestine Question’ has been with us for sixty years. During this time it has become a running sore, its solution appearing ever more distant,” wrote Khalidi in the first paragraph of his op-ed.

…another fine upstanding PLO citizen.

It is unreasonable to expect negotiations from IRRATIONAL people…The Palestinians refuse to negotiate on Jerusalem which they insist be their capital.
The Jews have waited since 70 AD to retrieve Jerusalem and they will not surrender it….And anyone who has studied the History of the region understand that…In this the Palestinian Muslim cause is a hollow one…imho

Yes, medusa, we do have to go to sources we wouldn’t normally align with in order to find out what the fauxgressive sites and MSM outlets are blacking out.

But, sorry….I don’t find the sultan amusing. Too many ugly little notes struck.

I do wholeheartedly agree with him, though, that there is a culture war going on and the only way, the correct way, to fight the fundies is to laugh at them. Mark Twain wasn’t the only one who pointed that out….EB White did as well, when he said that despots don’t fear words of freedom spoken with passion….they feared the drunken poet who may crack a joke that takes hold.

Coca-cola, MTV, and bikinis are all we’ll ever need. All our military interference has ever done is put the women of Afghanistan and Iraq back under the burqa.

Sorry, medusa, I was referencing a Daniel Greenfield (Sultan Knish) editorial that I read at his site, wherein he said we can’t fight Islam militarily and he also quoted Mark Twain who said that humor was the best weapon against the self-righteous.

The women in both Afghanistan and Iraq were wearing western clothing and working in the workplace alongside men until we interfered with them militarily (we ourselves bolstered the Taliban in order to fight the Russians back in the day). Now they are back under the burqa.

All we have to do is live the good life, the more notoriously the better, and the likes of MTV, McDonalds, South Beach, bikinis, etc., will spread themselves. And, yes, I know — that’s the cheesiest of “good lives” but if you don’t get the point, I’m not going to be able explain it to you any better than this.

Islam will come out of the middle ages on its own, from within. A holy war is the only thing guaranteed to entrench the medieval attitude. The last thing we need
