Make War NOT Peace

Just when I thought the audacity had reached it’s summit I am yet again surprised at the ego of Barack Obama. According to the UK Telegraph, senior members of the Obama campaign have been working behind the scenes trying to offer Hillary a way to find a “dignified” way to exit this race. Yes, you read that right. Obama is offering Hillary something dignified. Hillary. Hillary Clinton.

Talk about your audacity.

Fair warning: This stuff is liable to piss you off!

Hillary Clinton to be offered dignified exit

The former First Lady would get the chance to pilot Mr Obama’s reforms of the American healthcare system if she agrees to clear the path to his nomination as Democratic presidential candidate.

Obama and his minions actually believe that Hillary would want to steer a health care policy through the legislative process that DOES NOT offer Universal Health Care to ALL Americans? These folks aren’t just audacious, they are stupid as hell. If there is one thing that Hillary has made the centerpiece of her campaign to become President it is Universal Health Care. Not the Obama screw around the edges Health Care for SOME Americans. REAL Universal Health care.

Now I realize that Obama Cultists don’t have the slightest idea what REAL actually means. Their whole movement is based upon lies, thugs, smoke and mirrors. So I almost have sympathy for them. But you notice I used the word ALMOST.

You might imagine that after Hillary experienced the first act of generosity from Senator Obama where he offered to allow her to have 19 delegates from Florida she might not be overly enthused. And then after Obama made his second gesture of generosity by offering to split the delegates from Michigan 50/50 when he wasn’t even on the ballot you wouldn’t be surprised (would you?) if Hillary didn’t tell Obama to F off. And to his face.

But according to the Audacious Cult, they believe that offering Hillary a part in the Obama cabinet is the way to bring about peace. What absolute fools.

Senior figures in the Obama camp have told Democrat colleagues that the offer to Mrs Clinton of a cabinet post as health secretary or to steer new legislation through the Senate will be a central element of their peace overtures to the New York senator.

Pete Seeger said it best:

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing

And my friends, this is a Time of War.

Hmmm!

Has Obama released his “medical” records yet? Or “HIS” birth certiicate? It seems mighty strange that these items for some reason can’t be released.

How do we know “HE” is fit to be “POTUS”?

Hillary should never take any kind of position with that group.

This is actually good. It means he’s still worried about being able to nail the nomination. GREAT! There’s still hope for Hil. Doesn’t he always try to bribe her to quit after she has a big win? After KY he tried to giver her $20 mil to pay debts!!

Keep up the pressure, I say. Donna Brazile doesn’t look too cocky on CNN.

Comment by Laura | 2008-06-01 18:54:50

That is the only thing they have in their pathetic defense of hussein obama, to call us racists and bigots in responding to the issue of hussein’s own racist and bigoted circle of friends. In fact when saying anything critical about dear leader hussein obama, you are immediately branded a racist. All they do is reinforce the fact that he is an empty suit with no record of achievement to tout. They only support him because he is black or because he is radical leftist.

Socrates was also offered a “dignified exit”.
Between how badly her first attempt at Nationalized health Care went, and how badly her hand-picked (well, large donor selected anyway) veterans single source provider is doing (vets ready to grab torches, tar, and feathers), she can’t be stupid enough to be Obama’s hatchet man for a task loaded like old leaking dynamite.
Obama’s campaign only hopes she is that stupid.

Comment by NY Still loves Hillary | 2008-06-01 11:52:22

Of course, the real strategy is to offer Clinton a bone she will never bite on in the name of “Unity”, so he can tell her supporters that he “tried” to bring her on board, but she turned him down cold. “Not my fault, so come support me in November”. Or perhaps “I’m the rational one here, it must be her time of the month”.

Comment by s. hall | 2008-06-01 12:03:11

This offer if true shows the revenge they want to take out on Hillary. They want to grind her into the ground and the rest of us too.

Comment by s. hall | 2008-06-01 13:15:46

drkate–let them blame me and all the other Hillary supporters if Obama loses. Then let them blame Howard Dean for not vetting this guy and his wife. Then they can blame the Democratic Old Timers who thought Obama would bring them a New Democratic Party to sit and do nothing in.

Let the blame game begin….

He’s hoping she’ll save his butt, because he and his advisors have no idea how to implement any kind of health plan. Then, when they make sure it is torpedoed, it will be Hillary’s fault. Of course, he thinks he can be elected in November.

She must take this to the convention. We don’t need her to give up like Gore and Kerry.

Obama spent 20 years in a church that taught him to hate people like Hillary. Hate is the only thing Obama does well. Now he will not stop trying to take revenge on her. He thinks he is top dog and we are going to begin to see the real Obama come out. Already his paid Obamabots are pushing for a generational war. Hillary needs to get out of this party and run as an Independent. None of the scumbags in the party are fit to wipe the clinton’s shoes.

It stuns me. These folks think that we’ll be placated by scraps. That Clinton supporters will “fall in line” behind Obama once he gets the nod. See, this is where these idiots need a reality check. We don’t fall into line like conservatives do. That’s why we’re liberals. We think for ourselves. We don’t walk lock step. Conservatives do. That’s why I believe Obama and his supporters aren’t true liberals but conservatives in liberal clothing.

I think Hillary will FIGHT for it if she’s a CLEAR VOTE winner in the end.

I think it may come down to MT and SD voters. She needs to stay as far away from this bunch as she can get. If she doesn’t get the nomination, she should stay in the Senate. That’s where she can fight the bullshit the best.

If Obama had a thousand years to make nice with me, it still wouldn’t be enough to make me vote for him. And, any Democrat from Arkansas who backs Obama had better not expect my vote or money.

Comment by Mary | 2008-06-01 16:32:38

I presume her response will be a simple: We’ll see. August is not here yet.

Comment by Mandelay | 2008-06-01 12:21:09

You must know that the Democratic Party is now officially in the hands of the Obama campaign and, in effect, Barack Obama is the head of the party. This means that nobody with any power in the party can make a move without clearing it first with Obama. If Hillary wants to stay in the party she must at some point play ball with these rats. That’s politics. But we, the people who vote, are not beholden to Obama for our careers. Therefore, if Hillary does not get the nomination and if she does not run as an Independent (hope she does/she has my vote always), we the people must send a message to the Democratic Party once and for all. Find a way to make your vote count against the Party in November, even if Hillary agrees to be the “Health Care Czar.” Find a way to make your vote count … if you can’t vote for McCain, try to drum up more votes for another candidate who already has a significant base and who is on the November ballot. Don’t think Hillary can make it on to the November ballot as the signatures needed in every state won’t be filed in time. Who’s left? McCain, Paul, Nader? Figure out how to cast your vote so that the Democrats lose by as big a margin as possible. Hillary might be back as a Democrat in 2012, but so will Obama. The only way to break Obama’s hold on the party is to break the power of the party. I hope Hillary can find a way to run as an Independent or that some other party will give her their line on the ballot. She’s much too good to be lost and it’s obvious now that the Democratic Party wants the Clinton family out.

Comment by Dawnelle | 2008-06-01 12:28:09

If Obama takes control of the DNC, I am gone from it forever. It will be the end of the 2 party system, for sure.

But I don’t think it will come to that. Obama’s scandals just keep coming fast and furious. HOward Dean is just too big of an ego to admit that he got hoodwinked at this point… pretty soon, Hillary will be offering OBama a gracious way to get out of the race. ;)

Comment by s. hall | 2008-06-01 12:33:09

According to Lou Dobbs Hillary has until the end of June to decide if she wants to run as an Independent and there is enough time to get the signatures on the ballots.

Just because Hillary decided to run for the Presidency The Democratic Party should not force her wear a scarlet letter in the Senate. They are warning all of us women to shut up and go along with the program.

You’re right Obama is running the party now and the anti-women agenda is obvious.
They know how angry women are and they are saying nothing to placate us. When I see women manhandled at the DNC Rules Committee hearing I see a new day dawning for this Democracy and its frightening.

Comment by Andy | 2008-06-01 12:25:22

I think we should all start writing to HRC (see her website).

Please be forceful but polite but tell her:

(1) we don’t want her to back down an inch: to Denver (b/c of whatever you wish to tell); be forceful but polite)

(2) not to try to pacify us or enter into a compromise w/Obama. We do not view him as viable, legitimate nor electable. Ask her not to forget what has just happened in the last few months. That the Democratic Part as it was doesn’t not exist anymore and we cannot allow this to be vindicated or rewarded b/c it will just get worse forever. What has been said and done in this primary by the Obama camp and the DNC against women and a variety of other groups is unprecedented and
it would be dangerous if they prevail.

Comment by Andy | 2008-06-01 12:29:13

PS: The DNC and the Obama campaign are responsible for the media and pro-Obama bloggers behavior for they have done NOTHING to call them out. Worse they have encouraged it. So it is on them.

Comment by NY Still loves Hillary | 2008-06-01 12:28:50

I have 2 suggestions for people as disgusted by the democratic Party as I am should the pre-ordained nomination go to Obama as scheduled:

1) While it may be too late for Hillary Clinton to run as an Independent in some states, please don’t forget that there are other parties that may already have filed for space on your state’s ticket (ie: Liberal, Working Families, Green, etc.). Find one and figure out what it will take to have Senator Clinton as their nominee, then let everyone in your state know how they can still vote for her in November. They will be thrilled to have wide-spread support and publicity for their party.

2) When voting for down-line candidates, DO NOT ever vote for them as a democrat; select them on any other party line. In most states, the party with the most votes gets placement at the top of the ballot so let’s be sure the the “New” democrats never get that placement again. If you support a state/local candidate, make sure they know you will not vote for them on the dem line so they ask for the support of another legit party and you can vote them in. BTW - this strategy also will work for Republicans who are unhappy with their party’s behavior of late…

Please feel free to share/post these suggestions with anyone and everyone. The America we love is disappearing right before our eyes. This fight is over more than a candidate - it is about our way of life and the Constitutional right to vote. Do not let your voice be silenced!

OT but VERY imporatnt! I just heard this report on Fox. Dee Dee Myers, Bill Clinton’s Press Secretary works for Vanity Fair. Her HUSABAND does too and he wrote a SCATHING article about Bill Clinton that is coming out in the next VF.

Todd Purdum, who is Vanity Fair’s national correspondent. Does anyone know anything about Purdum?

The quotes Fox read were AWEFUL! He’s delving into Bill’s behavior since his heart surgery. He said staffers did an intervention with Bill because of his strange behavior and something about him spending time with women when on the road. There was a quote from GENNIFER FLOWERS, about Bill being a bad husband (and what’s she?), but I can’t remember the exact quote. I haven’t been able to find the article online, but Fox has it.

They got this out today to waylay the Obama video! I know they did.

Why would Dee Dee Myers do this???? I cannot believe it.:(

Gennifer probably needs a little cash. I guess next they’ll trot out Paula. I doubt they’ll mess with Susan McDougal since she kicked their asses the last time they went headhunting.

I think someone needs to do a serious clinical study of what makes a person become a rabid Clinton hater because I think there is something psychologically wrong with them–beyond the simple greed and jealousy.

Obama months ago collared the press to do this. He kept saying why don’t you go into Bill Clinton’s life since his heart surgery. Obama cannot stop his revenge on the Clintons which will be his undoing. He has all this money to throw around so he gets what he wants and what he wants is the power to destroy anyone he hates and that is all of us.

Comment by Lucinda | 2008-06-01 12:52:34

It sounds to me like they’re just trying to bring up the same old stuff about Bill. It won’t shock anyone. Michelle Obama, ranting about evil white people, however will be devastating for Barack’s campaign. I’ve lived my whole life as an average, middle class American surrounded by other average, middle class Americans. The people I know are already skeptical of him, and they won’t vote for him if this tape comes out.

Comment by s. hall | 2008-06-01 12:54:25

its not me — believe anything you see and hear now. Obama is an angry man and a very sick one. But there are millions of people who love the Clintons and are beginning to loathe this nobody and his wife. Real classy of Mrs. O to say she wants to scratch Bill Clinton’s eyeballs out or Obama to say he is not going to knee cap Hillary–how kind of him.

No matter what Obama says or does he does not have the stature to be in the White House. He knows it, the Clinton supporters know it and the rest of the country is getting it.

So all they have is a quote from Genifer Flowers–from 28 years ago. Wish I could do what I did 18 years ago. The problem for Obama is what has he done lately? Lets see if the media has the balls to cover that.

Comment by Catriley | 2008-06-01 12:33:29

I’m trying to imagine Hillary, a cabinet member, sitting quietly at around the table while President Obama flubs his way through questions from the press. I think it would look an awful lot like the expression Condi Rice usually has when Bush is speaking to the press — complete mortification, and resentment that the village idiot is in the top spot instead of her.

No way in hell should Hillary accept anything from Obama.. especially to be hidden away in a cabinet.

Comment by Lucinda | 2008-06-01 12:36:36

Here’s a graceful way for Hillary to exit. Hold a press conference on Wednesday, declaring her run for the presidency as an Independent. She’d leave him and his racist, sexist, ageist, elitist supporters in the dust come November.

Comment by Lucinda | 2008-06-01 13:03:59

Lou Dobbs said that she has until the end of June. Considering that none of the ballots can be set until after the Democratic and Republican primaries, it would make sense that she still has time to declare. Of course, it’s wishful thinking, because she’s too loyal to her party, even though the party leadership has crapped all over her.

Comment by wac for hillary | 2008-06-01 13:19:14

Okay, thanks. I read to page 2 (out of 8!) and as soon as I read that Purdum blamed Bill for Hillary’s SC problem with AA voters, I quit. It’s a hit piece. I’m not reading anymore. What an asshole.

wrb — Saw the article and its a real ho-hum. I was looking for the part where Clinton disenfranchises voters — didn’t see it. I was looking for racist statements didn’t see them. Obama has been trying to peddle this crap to the media for the better part of a year. Got the message Bill Clinton is sexy.

If you’re here to try to pry us away from Hill and toward Obama–ain’t gonna happen. Wonder if they are going to do an article about Obama’s Republican Senate opponent who had to drop out 3 weeks before the election because of his kinky divorce–the records of which were sealed. This left Obama with to run alone. The problem for Obama is that he can’t handle competition. He has to destroy it to be comfortable. Veeeeery sick.

Pry away?

No I’m just a tourist who happened to have just read the article someone asked about.

I find the “thought” processes of the extreme partisan to be good entertainment.

That was nothing. He referred to one trip on which Clinton was with his daughter. It seemed more an indictment of Burkle etc that Clinton associates with. Maybe he’s trying to spin that if Obama is accountable for the people he associates with, someone who isn’t running for president is also.

Here is one sentence from the Vanity Fair article that is pretty representative of the entire content of the article:

There has been talk of a female friend in Chappaqua, a woman in a bar at a meeting of the Aspen Institute, and a public sighting of Clinton, Bing, and a ravishing entourage in a New York elevator that, a former Clinton aide told me, led a business leader who saw them to say: I don’t know what the guy was doing, but it was so clear that it was just no good.

Considering BHO made Health Care his first 100 days priority, I’m guessing he thinks he can make Hillary responsible for the fact that there is not friggin way you get even his bullsh*t health care plan done in a 100 days. He’ll feel smart because Hillary will have “failed” again.

I swear to god this guy is the dumbest *ss and most ridiculous politician I have ever seen. Even with GOP financing, and 100% of the press and DNC hacks pushing for him he can’t seem to stop making a complete idiot of himself.

I have never hated a politician more…and even though the Obamabots will say “You’ve probably always been full of hate.” the truth is I’m a pacifist and even identified with the far left liberals…until this debacle.

Dean and his Obama DNC pals might as well cancel the convention because they are going to feel mighty uncomfortable when August rolls around.

If no indicm ents or serious vetting by the press using a simple Google, AYERS, AUCHI, Iraqi war corruption, Rezko, the ones we know of, then it is our duty to shut it down.

While Obama’s campaign threaten Recreate ‘68, Hillary’s vanguard will promise 1968 multiplied. While Obamabots attention span will drift back to IPODs and Gameboys, the adults will wrestle this thing under control or tear it down. We’ve got nothing to lose but our right to ‘one person one vote’ and a corrupt political system.

Get rid of the caucus system and get rid of the DNC.
The DNC is already hurting because of our express determination not to fund this charade. Obama is not going fund it that’s for sure. Hillary shouldn’t either.

Squeeze the life-blood of money from them, then either show up in Denver or lend money to the cause.

We’re unified alright! Just depends on your definition of UNITY.

Obama’s arrogance isn’t based on abilities, it’s totally based on the fixed game, how pathetic is that? I’ve been saying this for awhile; he believes the myth about himself as well. He’s just being used as W was pre 2000, he was the handpicked chosen one. No need to work, their told “just go out and look presidential”. He’s being used and I’m not sure when or if he’ll ever realize this. If this is how politics is done then what are we? Why don’t they just steal it outright rather than playing all of these games and pretending to be part of the democratic process. They know that there are millions of people who see through thier bullshit, but they don’t care b/c they are not smart, they have no foresight and they are in denial. He will never be president.

And my friends, this is a Time of War.

Right on, Susan! The American people have been lulled into compliant sheep.

If not us, who?

If not now, when?

its not me — believe anything you see and hear now.

So all they have is a quote from Genifer Flowers–from 18 years ago. Wish I could do what I did 18 years ago. The problem for Obama is what has he done lately? Lets see if the media has the balls to cover that.

Yep. As I posted above, I read part of that article to page 2 (out of 8) and as soon as Purdum blamed Bill Clinton for Hillary’s AA problem in SC Primary, I quit reading it. It’s definitely a hit piece! SOB

Comment by Kathy | 2008-06-01 16:31:15

It really wasn’t a bad article. People still blame Clinton for SC, but anyone that really keeps track of the truth knows that is a lie. It was more critical of his aide (Band) than it was of Clinton.

It was the same old crap. Talked about Clintons anger. I would be angry too if I were Clinton.

He is the best and has taken more shit than anyone should have to.

I still love and revere both of the Clintons and always will. Nothing anyone says will ever change my mind. I still love listening to him. He is a brilliant guy and a great teacher. I have learned a lot from him over the years. He knows how to explain history so that anyone can understand.

He would make a fabulous teacher but he is much more than that. I just want him to enjoy the rest of his life and find peace and contentment. I know he would love a grandchild to pieces. I hope he gets to experience the love of a grandchild. There is nothing like it, and it is unconditional.

Obama is BAD for America! How can he be the Commander-in-chief, when he does NOT EVEN KNOW USA History? Are the extra 7 states the towns from Kenya, specifically the one from his cousin Odinga’s place? Scary!
Ayer is grinning.

Obama peeps don’t realize…we’re trying to save America.
Don’t they realize Obama can’t win without our votes…and this is the way they respond to us? By dissing us…they insure an Obama loss. Truly bizarre!

Well, now it’s time for Hillary’s staff and supporters to pick a side. It’s their one chance, and there’s no coming back.
It would seem that a number of Hillary’s top supporters, and a lot of her fans, are more comfortable helping a Republican become president if Hillary can’t win the nomination. Some of that is, understandably, just talk - it sucks to lose, people are are angry. But at this late date, cheap talk is no longer acceptable. We have to reunite our party in time to successfully take on John McCain. And people like Mandy Grunwald, Harold Ickes, Terry McAuliffe, Howard Wolfson, and so many of Clinton’s other staff, surrogates and rich donors have already caused major damage to those efforts. Hillary and her team have successf
