I have also just found out that pledged delegates for a candidate can be ousted by that candidate and that Obama’s team intend to do this. The Clinton campaign is honoring the duly elected pledged delegates for her and will not replace any. It is the Obama “destroy thy enemy” way of doing politics that was described by Don Lemon on CNN about Obama’s previous Chicago election.
I found this on another site and thought it would be a great way to help/convince Hillary to take this all the way to the convention (if she doesn’t concede tomorrow…which I doubt she will)
We could all send her a letter thanking her for all she’s done and will continue to do. We could also include our thoughts on the way the media, BO (and his supporters) and her own party have treated her.
I think it would be a great symbol of our ongoing support for her to fight this if we could each send a dollar for each of our family members or friends that support her. We could tell who each dollar is from and why.

Fact is there is no nominee officially until the campaign in Denver in August. Obama is the presumptive nominee at this time - that is all. He did not get the popular votes. He got delegates from mainly caucuses and red states. Percentage wise delegates from caucuses were higher than delegates assigned from primaries. The DNC gave away to Obama uncommitted votes and four of her valid delegates in Michigan and l/2 votes from Florida - where Obama campaigned and had tv commercials running - by rights he should get no delegates from Florida as he broke the rules. He also refused a revote in both Florida and Michigan, knowing Hillary Clinton would win both handily.
Shades on 2000 with Gore/Bush only this time it is the undemocratic party who have shoved this through.
If Obama wins legally at the convention then it will be okay but so far it isn’t a legal ‘victory’ for him.

For me it is especially in reaction to the behavior of the msm. It’s a hard lesson to learn but they were like this with Reagan and to some degree with Dubya as well.
Bashing a candidate in the press like this isn’t “normal”. What you’re seeing from the MSM started in the Reagan era with Reagan’s promotion in the msm (and I attribute that to murdoch’s influence) and showed its horrifying side during the Clinton administration where the President was bashed horrifically from his first days in office. And Clinton was doing some very interesting, helpful, important things from his very first days in office.
It is important to know that the msm will bash those they do not fear. If the clintons were such “monsters” the msm would never treat them like this.
I know, I started the day feeling kind of crappy, spent the morning with two ranting Obama supporters, but I feel much better now after spending time here. Tens of thousands of people in Florida are already supporting Barack Obama for president.
But, you know what? You won’t be able to vote for him in the all-important Florida Primary next February unless you are a registered Democrat, or unless you re-register as a Democrat.
See, Florida law mandates a “closed primary” for presidential primaries. Even if you’re an independent, these archaic laws will not let you vote in either major party primary.
Put another way — you have been legally disenfranchised.
That’s why “Democrat for a Day” was launched this spring by ObamaFlorida2008. Using the official forms provided by all Supervisors of Elections offices, you may re-register as a Democrat for that one day — when the primary is likely to be held — on February 5, 2008. You must do so before the end of 2007, to make sure it is done 30 days before the primary.
But this is not about some “hard sell” to recruit voters to become permanent Democrats. Not at all. After the primary, you may re-register back to the
Republican or Libertarian parties, or revert to your previous status as an Independent! There will be plenty of time before the general election in November 2008.
ObamaFlorida2008 recognizes and respects all citizens who have varying points of view. We just want to make it make it possible to vote for Barack Obama in the primary — or for that matter — anyone you wish.
Duval, Hillsbrough, Pinellas, Alachua, Leon, Volusia, Nassau, Clay, Okaloosa, Polk and St. Johns voters are already re-registering in the “Democrat for a Day” program.

Voting Democratic this one time will have NO effect on your ability to vote in the next Republican primary or obviously on your vote in November. Since John McCain has the Republican nomination locked up, voting for McCain or Huckabee at this point will have no effect on the outcome on the Republican side.
After you vote during early voting or on March 4th, you ARE NOT done! Report back to your regular polling place at 7PM on March 4th to sign the Barack Obama list for caucus delegates. In a little known Texas voting quirk, 67 delegates to the Democratic convention will be seated because of these caucuses. This is a full one-third of the total number of Texas delegates. For Hillary to lose, she has to lose the primary votes AND the caucus votes.

Do you need MORE evidence he sabotaged her campaign? His campaign actively urged Republicans and Independents to violate state laws to vote against Hillary by voting for him. There is proof this happened in Florida, Nevada, California, Texas ,Pennsylvania, and Ohio at a minimum!

1. Hillary is still seeking the nomination. She is suspending her candidacy on Saturday which means she retains all of her delegates. She is “supporting” Obama for now.
2. Obama will implode prior to the convention.
3. Hillary will step in and save the party.

Think about this: a few months ago would you imagine she would have finished the primaries so much stronger than Obama? Try and imagine her being the nominee now. Its not that hard.
