Obama’s Gangster Mentality

Barack Obama, the presumptive presidential candidate who has hung out for over two decades with violent extremists, radical and racist preachers, and both backed and enabled the now-convicted Tony Rezko who bilked taxpayers out of millions and left poor people in uninhabitable housing he failed to renovate, said this last night in Philadelphia, a city plagued by crime and violence:

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun. Because from what I understand, folks in Philly like a good brawl. I’ve seen Eagles fans.”

This man’s arrogance is so boundless, he believes that he can get away with anything.

– He grabs his wife’s ass on stage before a TV audience of millions.

– He has invoked hip-hop singer’s Jay-Z “battle” anthem: “Stab the Ladies…Middle Finga To The Law” by giving Hillary Clinton the middle finger (by running his middle digit down his cheeck) and dusting her off his shoulder. Obama is a professed fan of Jay-Z, whose lyrics begin:

If you feelin’ like a pimp nigga, go and brush your shoulders off
Ladies is pimps too, go and brush your shoulders off
Niggaz is crazy baby, don’t forget that boy told you
Get, that, dirt off your shoulder (Read all.)

– He has quoted, numerous times, the words of Malcolm X in Spike Lee’s film (see the “Bamboozled” video below the fold).

As Mike’s America at the Flopping Aces blog asks, depressingly, “And they call Bush a cowboy?” Tom Maguire hits the nail on the head in his post, “The Chicago Way” at his blog Just One Minute:

1. I deplore this exhortation to random gunplay - what sort of a message does this send to America’s youth, too many of whom have grown up in a culture glorifying violence? Is Obama a serious Presidential candidate or yet another rapper with yet another beef?

2. I deplore the imagery of a black man waving a gun to settle a dispute …

If this were a laughing matter, I’d post this image and let you chuckle away:

obamos.jpg

But the only thing that’s amusing here is that Barack Obama is a joke of a candidate.

We could state the obvious: That this is speech unbecoming a presidential candidate who presumes he is fit to be the leader of the free world.

But it is more serious: Maguire is correct to point out that such language — such thinking (!) — is an abysmal example for children, teenagers, and young adults.

Already, hundreds of thousands of us who support Hillary Clinton or in any other way oppose Barack Obama’s candidacy have been subjected to the most ruthless attacks and unrelenting stalking by Obama’s followers who perpetrate these assaults on us around the clock, 24/7 in an unending effort to intimidate and frighten us.

We know that, if Barack Obama ever called on his followers to cease these Internet and real-life attacks, that those assaults would decline in number and frequency. But Obama never asks his followers to straighten up and to act like responsible adults — just as the innumerable verbal assaults on Hillary Clinton were rarely, if ever, properly and promptly dealt with by Mr. Obama. Even when his longtime intimate associate Father Michael Pfleger attacked Hillary Clinton before Obama’s own congregation at Trinity church in Chicago, Obama failed to apologize to Hillary Clinton or directly rebuke Fr. Pfleger’s nasty, racist remarks. (Obama’s primary action was self-protective, as he sought to distance himself, in a superficial public remark, from Fr. Pfleger — despite the fact that he and Pfleger were on the telephone often as recently as May while Pfleger acted as a go-between for the falling out between Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Barack Obama.)

But Obama won’t call on his thuggish followers to cease and desist. He approves of the “new McCarthyism” from his followers.

Taking a different tack on this latest, and shocking, remark by Obama: It is disturbing that he has so little control over what he says that he cannot self-edit what he says in public.

We know that Obama is a candidate unusually dependent on a teleprompter in order to speak properly and coherently before an audience.

One of the most recent examples was when the unscripted Obama said that Iran (and other nations) are such tiny countries that they pose no serious threat to the U.S., and then the unscripted Obama, the next day in another speech, charged that Iran is a dangerous threat.

I’m sure that this kind of talk — “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun” — is used all the time in Barack’s conversations with his thuggish extremist, radical pals in Chicago.

But it won’t play well in Peoria or Portland (Maine as well as Oregon) or, most certainly, not in Oklahoma City, which was devastated by horrific violence that began, after all, with just talking about guns and bombs.

Military leaders, both past and present, must be shaking their heads, worried to death that this “cowboy” could be the next Commander in Chief.

It’s no wonder that over 38 flag officers rushed to endorse Hillary Clinton because they know that she is not only highly knowledgeable about the military culture — which grasps the gravity of any suggestion or threat of violence — but that she would also be prudent in exercising military might or escalating any crisis situation without the most careful deliberations and consultations with her superb group of military advisers.

From the open letter sent in March 2008 by former flag officers — who were clearly concerned, deeply, about the perils of nominating an unqualified, unknowledgeable candidate:

[…]

It is imperative that our new President knows how and when to use force and diplomacy judiciously, to know how to deploy the olive branch and the arrow. The President needs to be ready to act swiftly and decisively in a crisis. And we think our next President must restore our moral authority and leadership around the world with the courage to meet with our adversaries when appropriate, and the wisdom to pursue diplomacy wisely.

It is especially important to understand the military and diplomatic challenges facing us in Iraq, and to end the Iraq war responsibly and safely. It is also important to rededicate ourselves to winning in Afghanistan, the forgotten front line in our fight against terrorism.

In these critical areas, it is clear to us that Senator Clinton is the candidate best qualified to be our nation’s next Commander-in-Chief.

We believe that she has real understanding of the military through her diligent service on the Senate Armed Services Committee. She has worked tirelessly to ensure our men and women in uniform are properly trained and equipped to be sent to battle. And she has fought to make certain that they are treated with dignity when they return home. We have personally and closely observed her respect for our armed forces, and she has earned their respect. And ours.

We hope that as a country, we will now turn our attention to the critical issues that will determine the future of our great nation.

Disproved by whom? The media and Obama supporters? So the people who saw the videos with their own eyes, who saw the people behind Obama gleefully clapping and knowingly nodding to each other when Obama happened to be scratching himself, must be deceiving themselves? Sorry, I think you drank way too much Kool-Aid.

You wonder why NoQuarter is still unhappy with Obama? It’s because Obama, his campaign, and his supporters haven’t changed their thuggish attitudes. That’s why people are leaving this farce of a party that calls itself Democratic. If Obama was true to his claim that he was running a positive campaign of hope, if he wasn’t such a hypocrite, he wouldn’t have this problem.

Amen, Seattle Moss.

It’s not about the color of his skin (he’s biracial- big whoop) it’s about the CONTENT OF HIS CHARACTER. Wonder how the SD’s feel about having their reputations attached to a reprehensible statement such as this:

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” Obama said in Philadelphia last night. “Because from what I understand, folks in Philly like a good brawl. I’ve seen Eagles fans.”

Who has that SD list? I think we should send a copy of this quote out and ask them (that means YOU, public servants) if they endorse and support dangerous, irresponsible statements like this. Are they proud to represent this candidate? Let each and every one of them be put on notice. YOU WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.

Comment by s. hall | 2008-06-15 00:07:50

ellen you wish time had moved on — more people are skeptical of Obama today then 2 months ago. Now we find out that Obama also had a Communist mentor named Frank Marshall Davis with whom he attended some Communist conferences. Obama in his book Dreams of My Father said Frank was like a father to him. He also said the same thing about Wright. Why does Obama attach himself to every radical left wing group?

Comment by BJinChicago | 2008-06-15 02:12:17

Obama seems to always be searching for the father who left him.

Comment by Chelsea Patriot | 2008-06-15 09:46:53

Frank Marshall Davis was at one time married to a white woman. They never had children.

Barry and Frank found what they had been missing in each other.

Frank Marshall Davis, named Communist, was a drinking buddy of Obama’s grandfather long before Obama was born. Madelyn and Stanley Durham and Frank Marshall Davis all originated in Lawrence, KS, and coincidentally, they all ended up in HI togather.

Why was the patriot Stanley Durham getting shit-faced on regular basis with a member of a US-Communist Party?
FMD’s appearance before the Senate where he takes the 5th when asked if he was a Communist three times was in the 1950’s. Stanley Durham had to have known about FMD’s past.
Obama’s grandparents apppear to be as radical and anti-American as any of the other Freaks and Thugs, he has chosen to be with.

Comment by jim aaron | 2008-06-15 10:11:59

I think Obama suffered much damage by being abandoned by both his parents. It seems he wanted to be like the father he never knew, it doesn’t seem like his mother ever put his needs first over her own, maybe thats why he doesn’t like white folks, or maybe it’s because his mother didn’t like white folks or America very much. She left America at age 18 and never returned. Obama just just a very confused kid that moved to Chicago because he was attracted to all the Black Radicals there, Farrakhan, Wright etc., does Obama have ANY friends from more than 4 years ago that are NOT a terrorists or religious radical bigots?

Comment by Annie Oakley | 2008-06-15 11:05:48

When Barry left prep school in Hawaii and went to Occidental in LA, he roomed with Pakistanis. When he lived in NY attending Columbia, he roomed with Pakistanis. After his talent was discovered, he went to Chicago to develop his AA identity, and he joined with a group exploiting the group he claims to represent. So, why should I believe that he loves this country, loves the people in it no matter what color?

What geographical area is missing in Barry’s experience? Could it be he hasn’t connected with Pennsylvania so well because he is foreign in a cultural sense? I don’t think he likes America. I think he sees in himself the triumph of immigrant America over the vile people who still have a majority here. That’s the change that is coming, the “our time has come.” I’m not xenophobic, and I know we’re a lumpy melting pot and all, but we are still a nation. I want a president who knows that and isn’t going to run our government like the United Nations in some payback to natives. He’s even going to try to make “nativism” a bad word. Government derives its legitimacy from the governed. I’m not ready to give up our nation to a global elite.

I am so sorry Obama is a culture shock to all of you. I can’t believe you think he is a bad influence on kids for quoting jay-z and malcom x. kids talk about many topics worse than anything mentioned in jay-z songs. malcom x was a transcendent civil rights activist to rival Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and Ghandi. Obama was the first black editor of the Harvard Law Review and earned degrees from Harvard and Columbia University. he’s not in any way shape or form a thug. this guy is cultured. not only am I glad Obama is going to be President, I’m orgasmic he beat the Clintons, especially that machine. Obama took a fork and put 1,000,000 little holes in her, and then he took her dead body and flipped it over onto a table and whipped it out and raped her dead body, and then he pulled out and busted all over her face, and I mean all over. He got jesus juice in her mouth and nose and eyes and ears and all those little wrinkles.

Get over your culture shock, Larry.

But yes, Clinton and Obama were both jokes, which is why the GOP wanted to face…EITHER…and said so.

If you think Hillary Clinton had a good chance of getting elected by the time the LA Times and NY Times finished slamming the Clintons over Bill Clintons many affairs over the last few years, and after Karl Rove finished exposing EVERYTHING THAT HE FOUND OUT ABOUT THE CLINTON WHITE HOUSE while he worked in teh Bush White House, then you don’t know any more than Obama supporters…LARRY.

Gallup Poll 4th June. Clinton 48 - McCain 45.

Comment by framecop | 2008-06-14 22:31:58

Yeah, and Edwards was blowing McCain out in the last Gallup Poll he was included in.

That’s the difference, just like I told Dumbocrats in 2004.

Kerry guaranteed a CLOSE ELECTION, which meant that he guaranteed A STOLEN ELECTION.

Clinton guaranteed a CLOSE ELECTION, which meant the same thing.

Obama guarantees a BLOWOUT LOSS.

Edwards guaranteed a BLOWOUT VICTORY against a Republican field that’s WEAKER THAN BUSH was in 2004, yet, PBS By the People in 2004 performed a deliberative research study that showed that Edwards would have blown Bush out by at least ELEVEN POINTS had he been nominated in 2004.

Democrats have had two Presidents elected President in the last 40 years. They know how to screw it up, which they would have done with either Clinton or Obama.

Comment by joeysky | 2008-06-14 22:42:32

Only Clinton knows how to win against GOP.

Bill Clinton was the only Democrat that served 2 term president.

Hillary Clinton was the Democrat that beat the GOP rising star, NY mayor Giuliani.

Comment by framecop | 2008-06-14 22:58:13

First of all, you don’t “WIN” squat, and you should stop believing the media’s stupid talking points.

It’s MORE ABOUT VOTERS than it is about the candidates.

When more than 50% of voters say they would never vote for Hillary Clinton under any circumstances whatsoever, it doesn’t matter what she knows.

The only thing the Democrats “CARRIED” under then Clintons was the White House. They lost EVERYTHING ELSE. And look what it did. It kept Clinton from packing the courts before Bush came in, because the GOP that controlled Congress, blocked his nominations to keep the seats open for when a Republican came in in 2000. It also allowed the Gingrich Republicans to push the legislative agenda during the 90s that gave us things like the Telecommunications Act and Welfare Reform, etc, which Bill signed.

Edwards destroyed Giuliani in “HYPOTHETICAL” matchups by a larger margin than Clinton or Obama ever did, despite receiving 1/8th and 1/5th the coverage of both. That says a lot about how MORBIDLY UNELECTABLE Clinton and Obama always were, which is why the Republicans said they were perfectly fine running against either.

If the Clintons knew so much about how to “BEAT” the Republicans, then they wouldn’t have lost everything during the 1990s but the White House. The lost everything, including the IDEOLOGICAL battles. Now the Democratic Party is a bunch of wimps who think they have to behave like Republicans in order to get elected, which we can thank the Clintons for.

Comment by WildChild | 2008-06-14 23:17:20

Now don’t go blaming Bill Clinton for the ills of the world. The country was sold on the conservative movement in 1980 and all that Clinton did was give the republicans a foil to lie against. He was their dieing gasp. The republicans lost seats in the congress every year after they came to power during Clintons term and now they are dead. They thought Clinton gave them the world when he gave them Monika. They were talking permanent republican majority. But all Clinton gave them was power and that was all the Republicans needed to cut their own throats. Thanks Bill Clinton. You killed the dragon by handing him your sword. The only mistake the democratic party made was in abandoning you.

Comment by framecop | 2008-06-14 23:27:55

Blaming Bill Clinton for “the ills of the world”?

No, just for helping the GOP gain control of Congress from 1994 through 2006 (except the short time when Jim Jeffords switched to an Independent, giving the Democrats control for a short time between 2002 and 2004), and for moving the Democratic Party closer to GOP-lite, i.e., DLC.

Comment by WildChild | 2008-06-14 23:52:05

Bill didn’t help the republicans do anything. The mood of the country had changed after Reagan. The proof of this is that the democratic congress didn’t support Clinton’s health care initiative. They were so afraid of losing that they cowered to the pressure and lost anyway. Cowering is what lost the congress for the democrats. They had a chance to stand up and they blew it. And in 14 years they haven’t changed at all.

Hillary Clinton didn’t beat Rudy Giuliani in a hypothetical match up, she spanked him in real life, brain surgeon. He ran against her for Daniel Patrick Moynihan’s NY Senate Seat in 2000 and lost rather badly. He didn’t have the guts to even try to run against her in 2006, when she won with 62% of the vote (and she wasn’t even running against Obama).

As far as the 50% of Americans you claim stated they wouldn’t vote for Senator Clinton - that is total internet myth. Show me the source for that one (it’s the same source that says Obama never knew Rezko was dirty and Obama never listened to Wright).

The election was stolen, you moose, the DNC had this thing lined up for that delusional POS since when, 2004?

Let’s be honest, here.

If Clinton were to fight the DK way, it would denigrate into internecine warfare, and further harm the country.

A leader takes risks, and has to make decisions without some Ugo consultant or such telling him, or her what to do.

Meaning tools such as yourself can’t understand WHY Clinton didn’t come back with the goods on Obama, and fight in an internecine battle, harming EVERYONE.

But smart people, loyal to this government, get it.

You don’t.

Think Obama is a cripple?

You simply don’t get it.

BTW, the more I see of this tuneless POS, and the white men who pull his strings, I am more and more convinced the democrats would have taken America into Iraq, at the behest of big business, too.

Since they decided to fight like Rove, they will do everything else like Rove, too.

Slam dunk.

WHAT a fucking moron.

Walking the dog?

I was wondering why I kept seeing so many of them saying Bush and Clinton were best buds, but failing to do any research or ask anyone who actually bothered to remember what the Republicans did to Bill in the 90’s. Guess what? They used the media back then, too!

Democrats have had two Presidents elected President in the last 40 years. They know how to screw it up, which they would have done with either Clinton or Obama.

I think the point is that Obama has set race relations back 40 years, he is a master of using the AA race for his own gain. He emulates them to make them feel included, nothing more, just emulation until he is done with them, then UNDER THE BUS.

What other potential Presidential candidate emulates a gangster with a gun? Only in a third world country did you see this before, yep Obambi is breaking new ground.

Comment by framecop | 2008-06-14 23:04:55

Thank the Dumbocratic Party for it.

They could have nominated Edwards and forced this election to be about some real issues, but instead they wanted to “MAKE HISTORY” and instead have made the election about racism and sexism.

What a bunch of media-driven morons.

This election was supposed to be a referendum on “modern Republicanism as Bush” and how destructive it is to the lives of regular Americans, now it’s all about the “POTENTIAL FIRST,” which means is now a referendum on the Democratic candidate.

If it was Clinton, it would be a referendum on Bill Clinton, his ladies, his legacy, and his leisure.

Sure, the media would have tried to make it about “hair” with Edwards, but that wouldn’t have had the legs of sexual affairs and race-baiting that you get with the other two.

Comment by drkate | 2008-06-14 23:19:17

Edwards proved his cowardice by endorsing obama. he also undercut his whole message by doing so. I was a former edwards supporter and am disappointed. He didn’t really mean what he said. Just like obambi doesn’t mean what he says.

so you got troll duty tonight, huh? nice try on the edwards line but it doesn’t cut it at all. In fact, it is laughable.

Edwards endorsed Obama because EVERYONE HAS A PRICE.

He endorsed Obama in exchange for Obama’s donors giving to his HALF IN TEN poverty campaign. Obama’s team was desperate to change the subject after getting destroyed BY WEST VIRGINIA VOTERS (not Clinton who only had to show up there and be white), so quid pro quo…Edwards got his donations and Obama got a headline changer.

In WV all someone had to was show up and not be Barack Obama.

It was collusion, wasn’t it?

And that is very illegal.

My my, why do the stupid politicians think they’re untouchable?

Edwards couldn’t even get on TV when he was John Kerry’s running mate. When Kerry was getting pommeled by Bush, Cheney and the conservative sleaze machine, Edwards was off talking about the two Americas

Comment by framecop | 2008-06-14 23:37:56

Edwards didn’t run the Kerry campaign, and Kerry was a weaker General Election candidate than Edwards would have been, which was proven by the multi-month research project performed by PBS.

The Kerry campaign used Edwards the wrong way, and Kerry’s instincts were MUCH WORSE than Edwards. You could see the friction.

When Edwards gave his VP acceptance speech at the 2004 convention, he concluded it with the words “HOPE IS ON THE WAY, HOPE IS ON THE WAY.”

The next night Kerry came out and concluded his by saying “HELP is on the way, HELP is on the way.”

They were not a good match, but that’s not Edwards’ fault. After he dropped out, he was more popular among Democrats than Kerry was, and Kerry was sort of pressured to put Edwards on the ticket, even though he didn’t like him and thought that he didn’t deserve to even be as far as he was. I’m pretty sure he feels the same way about Obama now, but he hates Edwards so much that he had to endorse Obama to spite him. Now they both have endorsed Obama…go figure.

Comment by drkate | 2008-06-14 23:42:23

kerry’s endorsement of obama had nothing to do with edwards, and everything to do with john kerry’s own ego and ambitions. Kerry’s qualification for obama to be president? “he’s black”

what a weakling unprincipled elitist ass. just like obambi.

Comment by framecop | 2008-06-15 13:05:27

Kerry didn’t have to endorse anyone.

He endorsed Obama to rub it in Edwards’ face. That and because Kennedy was also supporting Obama.

Some good it did in Massachusetts, proving that endorsements don’t mean squat.

They were not a good match, but that’s not Edwards’ fault.

Then, like now, Edwards had the ability to say “No”. His choices, his responsibility. Think maybe his presence on the totally embarrassing 2004 Democratic ticket had anything to do with him getting beaten so soundly this year? Hungry for more? How about Edwards claiming that he was in the race till the convention, then dropping out just days later? He’s a panderer, just like Bill Richardson and Chris Dodd.

Comment by WildChild | 2008-06-14 23:59:24

You’re right, Edwards didn’t run the Kerry campaign, and from the way he behaved on the campaign trail, he wasn’t a part of it either. The VP functions as then pit bull for the P so the P can remain above the fray. But when the fray was engaged Edwards was off giving Two America speeches and leaving Kerry to fight it out alone. My guess is that’s why the party gave him a resounding yawn though most of this primary

Comment by Seattle Moss | 2008-06-15 00:17:58

Cheney ate Edwards for lunch at the debate
Frankly Senator, I’ve never seen you in the Senate.
Edwards always has sucked!
But Kerry sucks a whole lot more.

I believe this fix was in since at least 2004 convention.

Trace it back, to ALL the players, including the blogger boyz.

Yeah, boys talk in the middle of the night.

Also in the middle of the day, with the FBI listening, and god knows who else…

LOL

Fucking idiots.

Sorry but Eddie the Breck Boy couldn’t hold a candle to Hillary either!!!

He was too busy jumping on the bully wagon with Obambi 2 to 1 against Hillary! Weren’t you watching?

How soon they forget!

Oh also remember his WIFE the dear precious Elizabeth was diagonosed with a possible death sentence so I think Eddie has more important things he should and probably IS NOW taking care of…… NOT at all what a PRESIDENT should be worrying about however.

He would be (understandably) disengaged for the first few years at least had he won. Unless he’s a total PIG and would just dump her like some OTHER PIGS have done when their wives became ill.

sigh

All you had to do was bash O, give Hill a little good lip service (ie kiss her ass) and they would have been your BITCH all night long!!! lol lol They’re already gonna vote for your guy.

Pay no mind to the troll. I think this is just a new Obamadrama ploy - they know most dems despise republicans so they are posing as reps to bring about dem party unity. You know what to say about that - PUMA! :)

40 years, and it will be 44. And only one of those two presidents served two terms, and they hate him for it. In fact I recall him pulling the party out of the crapper after the last radical attempt at electing a series of left cliff radical gasbags who scared the crap out of the electorate. The reason that one president served two terms is because he was a moderate. That’s because the majority of the party is moderate. They just aren’t the loudest extremist gasbags is all. This will be another Dukakis game, only the guy is taller.

That’s why she’s leading him…BARELY, because she’s not the frontrunner.

When she was she polled worse against Republicans in many surveys than Obama.

When he became the frontrunner he polled worse than she did.

Proves that Americans won’t ultimately won’t EITHER.
