Another Bush/Obama Similarity…
By Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy on June 22, 2008 at 4:45 PM in Barack Obama, Bush/Cheney, Hillary Clinton, Iraq, Just Say No Deal, JustSayNoDeal.Com
His supporters. Recently, I wrote about how Obama and Bush are mirror images of each other. I would say this extends to the people who support each of them, too. Yes, I would have to say that Obama’s supporters are EXACTLY like the Bush supporters from everything I have seen.
For instance, Hillary Clinton has been VICIOUSLY attacked for allegedly supporting the war from the very BEGINNING of this campaign. Now, there is absolutely NO basis for that statement. There just is not. She never, ever said she supported the invasion of Iraq. In fact, she said the complete opposite. But hey - why should they bother to actually READ her speech (or listen to it, for that matter) when they can keep chanting, “She is for the War! She is HORRIBLE!” But, “Obama made a speech against the war!! He is AWESOME!”
As if a speech is EXACTLY the same as a vote. As if a barely acknowledged speech by a state senator to a very select group of people should even COMPARE to the difficult decision Senator Clinton, and the other US senators, had to face.
That is to say, they go on the offense lest they actually have to look at their candidate’s record, attacking someone for something she did not even DO in an attempt to frame the debate. Sadly, the MSM did its part in supporting this line of attack against Hillary Clinton. Not unlike how Bush supporters claimed that all of us who opposed the war were unpatriotic, and that we HAD to go to war because of 9/11, despite the fact that not ONE of the terrorists was Iraqi, and that Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11. But once again, the MSM jumped on this bandwagon pushing this false attack.
Since the Obama supporters keep insisting that Clinton is a huge war monger, is there some basis for their constant refrain? Well, let’s just take a look at some of what Clinton wrote in terms of the Resolution to Authorize Force: “Some people favor attacking Saddam Hussein now, with any allies we can muster, in the belief that one more round of weapons inspections would not produce the required disarmament, and that deposing Saddam would be a positive good for the Iraqi people and would create the possibility of a secular democratic state in the Middle East, one which could perhaps move the entire region toward democratic reform.
This view has appeal to some, because it would assure disarmament; because it would right old wrongs after our abandonment of the Shiites and Kurds in 1991, and our support for Saddam Hussein in the 1980’s when he was using chemical weapons and terrorizing his people; and because it would give the Iraqi people a chance to build a future in freedom.
However, this course is fraught with danger. We and our NATO allies did not depose Mr. Milosevic, who was responsible for more than a quarter of a million people being killed in the 1990s. Instead, by stopping his aggression in Bosnia and Kosovo, and keeping on the tough sanctions, we created the conditions in which his own people threw him out and led to his being in the dock being tried for war crimes as we speak.”
Huh. I didn’t see anything there that screams, “Let’s invade Iraq and blow the BEEJESUS out of them!!” So, what the heck else did she say that these Obamatrons are using to support this claim? Could it be this?
“If we were to attack Iraq now, alone or with few allies, it would set a precedent that could come back to haunt us. In recent days, Russia has talked of an invasion of Georgia to attack Chechen rebels. India has mentioned the possibility of a preemptive strike on Pakistan. And what if China were to perceive a threat from Taiwan?
So Mr. President, for all its appeal, a unilateral attack, while it cannot be ruled out, on the present facts is not a good option.”
Well, golly gee willikers, that doesn’t sound like someone who is rushing to war either!! Hmmm. Maybe I just need to read this speech a little further to see just WHERE it is Obama and his minions got this idea that Senator Clinton was war crazy…
“While there is no perfect approach to this thorny dilemma, and while people of good faith and high intelligence can reach diametrically opposed conclusions, I believe the best course is to go to the UN for a strong resolution that scraps the 1998 restrictions on inspections and calls for complete, unlimited inspections with cooperation expected and demanded from Iraq. I know that the Administration wants more, including an explicit authorization to use force, but we may not be able to secure that now, perhaps even later. But if we get a clear requirement for unfettered inspections, I believe the authority to use force to enforce that mandate is inherent in the original 1991 UN resolution, as President Clinton recognized when he launched Operation Desert Fox in 1998.
If we get the resolution that President Bush seeks, and if Saddam complies, disarmament can proceed and the threat can be eliminated. Regime change will, of course, take longer but we must still work for it, nurturing all reasonable forces of opposition.
If we get the resolution and Saddam does not comply, then we can attack him with far more support and legitimacy than we would have otherwise.”
AHA!! There it is! She used the word “ATTACK”!!!!! Never mind that it is SURROUNDED by condition after condition!! Don’t bother to read anything PRIOR to that word, or AFTER that word, and you can see, clear as a bell, why Obama has attacked her from the VERY beginning as a COMPLETE and utter war hawk!
Oh, wait, there’s MORE?? Well, shoot - since we’ve come this far, might as well see what else that war-crazed woman said!
“I believe international support and legitimacy are crucial. After shots are fired and bombs are dropped, not all consequences are predictable. While the military outcome is not in doubt, should we put troops on the ground, there is still the matter of Saddam Hussein’s biological and chemical weapons. Today he has maximum incentive not to use them or give them away. If he did either, the world would demand his immediate removal. Once the battle is joined, however, with the outcome certain, he will have maximum incentive to use weapons of mass destruction and to give what he can’t use to terrorists who can torment us with them long after he is gone. We cannot be paralyzed by this possibility, but we would be foolish to ignore it. And according to recent reports, the CIA agrees with this analysis. A world united in sharing the risk at least would make this occurrence less likely and more bearable and would be far more likely to share with us the considerable burden of rebuilding a secure and peaceful post-Saddam Iraq.
President Bush’s speech in Cincinnati and the changes in policy that have come forth since the Administration began broaching this issue some weeks ago have made my vote easier. Even though the resolution before the Senate is not as strong as I would like in requiring the diplomatic route first and placing highest priority on a simple, clear requirement for unlimited inspections, I will take the President at his word that he will try hard to pass a UN resolution and will seek to avoid war, if at all possible.
Because bipartisan support for this resolution makes success in the United Nations more likely, and therefore, war less likely, and because a good faith effort by the United States, even if it fails, will bring more allies and legitimacy to our cause, I have concluded, after careful and serious consideration, that a vote for the resolution best serves the security of our nation. If we were to defeat this resolution or pass it with only a few Democrats, I am concerned that those who want to pretend this problem will go way with delay will oppose any UN resolution calling for unrestricted inspections.”
Just hold the phone, here - is she talking about getting the UN involved??! AGAIN?? Heck, she already mentioned them a few times, so why the heck is she involving them AGAIN here??? Good grief - what possible good could the UN do?!?! I mean, she already said that the CIA assured them there was a “clear and present danger,” so why bother with the UN, getting a resolution, or even having weapons inspectors?!?! Sheesh! What a wimp!! Oh, wait - no - she is a war-monger! Obama SAID so!!!
Let’s just finish this out, and see why he was SO insistent on this point! Oh, I bet it has something to do with preemptive invasions! Yeah, that’s the ticket!!
“My vote is not, however, a vote for any new doctrine of pre-emption, or for unilateralism, or for the arrogance of American power or purpose — all of which carry grave dangers for our nation, for the rule of international law and for the peace and security of people throughout the world.”
Whaaaa???? Wait - if I can still read English correctly, it seems she is saying she does NOT want a preemptive invasion. That CAN’T be right, can it???
Dadgummit. There must be SOMETHING in this whole speech that screams she can’t wait to rush into war against Hussein!! How else could Obama and the MSM keep claiming it was so???
All right - here is the VERY last paragraph: “So it is with conviction that I support this resolution as being in the best interests of our nation. A vote for it is not a vote to rush to war; it is a vote that puts awesome responsibility in the hands of our President and we say to him - use these powers wisely and as a last resort. And it is a vote that says clearly to Saddam Hussein - this is your last chance - disarm or be disarmed.”
Well, hell. OK, so she has the CIA, and the Secretary of State ASSURING the Senate, heck, the UN, and the WORLD, that Saddam Hussein had WMD. She received PERSONAL assurances from the President that he would go to war as a last resort. Her entire SPEECH is based on going to the UN, working with the world community, and against preemptive action. Yet, somehow, in this new Upside Down World, she, and she ALONE, is responsible for the US attacking Iraq! Wow - that’s some nifty magic there!
So - clearly, Senator Clinton never supported the war flat out. Yet, Obama has gotten MAJOR traction, and major amounts of VOTERS, based on the LIE that she did.
Doesn’t that sound like a Bush supporter to you??
And at No Quarter, we have seen - just in the past couple of days - instance after instance of Obama turning his back on former campaign promises (campaign finance, FISA), and yet, his supporters go through the most CONVOLUTED machinations to dismiss this blatant hypocrisy, just like Bush’s supporters have done for him over the past 7 years (do I REALLY have to enumerate all of the times and all of the ways Bush’s supporters have stood up for him in the face of his numerous lies? I didn’t think so, either.).
How does he get away with this? As with Bush, no matter WHAT Obama does, no matter how much fence-sitting (”Present!”) or flip-flopping or flat out LIES he tells, his people will continue to march in lockstep behind him, not daring to admit to themselves that they have been had. Maybe that is the problem. Their ego is SOOOOO much more important than our country is. Or maybe they are just too invested now to admit out LOUD that they were wrong, and heck, Clinton has already started to help him, so it’s too late anyway, right? Whatever their (flawed) reasoning is, they, along with Howard and Donna, have shoved Obama down our throats. That just makes me ill.
But you know what? Just like Bush being forced on to the country by a bunch of myopic, uninformed people, Obama is being forced on us by a bunch of people who are doing it for THEMSELVES, not the country, for them to feel “hip” or to assert it makes them more progressive. They are CLEARLY not looking at what he REALLY says, or what his record shows, or with whom he associates.
So I, for one, along with Just Say No Deal, say No Deal. No Dice. No Way. I refuse to hear the Mea Culpas down the road from the people who were taken in by this Charlatan. Just say NO DEAL now, and spare the country another 4 years of Obama OR McCain. Really - it is in EVERYONE’S best interest. Really.
……………..

I’m so sick of this thing to support Obama is because he gave a speech opposing the Iraq war. Like that is so important! Hillary did not vote for war, she voted for authority if absolutely necessary. Bush abused the privilege.
you are a truth-teller!
Wonderful article highlighting the wrenching and difficult decisions a true leader faces and makes with deep forethought.
The complexities and details however, will escape those too quick to race over to support a novice.
She voted for keeping UN weapons inspectors in Iraq looking for WMD’s that falsified intelligence reports said were there. US troops were peace-keeping troops that were supposed to keep the weapons inspectors safe and use violence as a last resort.
Actually Obama is here (follow link) http://youtube.com/watch?v=2kFrFIFizkU
saying NO to bringing home troops. ANOTHER FlipFlop for him.
Didn’t they have to recreate his wonderful speech because no one paid any attention to it at the time?
Let’s not forget that Obama’s so-called anti-war speech in 2002 was never recorded. There is no record of it in its entirety, only a 10 second snippet. The rest of it has mysteriously disappeared, just like all of Obama’s state senate records. So Obama proceeds to RE-ENACT the speech with fake crowd noises in the background, and released it as an ad, thereby duping millions of people into thinking it was the real thing. This is a fact CONFIRMED by Axelrod to the Chicago Sun Times last December.
I have never understood why this act of duplicity has never been fully examined by the press or even the Clinton blogosphere. It is shameful and deceitful, and besides, do we really know that he actually said what he claimed he said in 2002? Given Obama’s propensity for LIES, I tend to believe not.
Words don’t matter? LOL*
I agree with your thesis that the supporters are a great deal like Bush supporters were.
One of my primary reasons for leaving the Democratic party is due to them. I just don’t want to associate with that type of behavior or thinking.
The trashing of Hillary, led by Obama’s remarks, was straight from the Republicans from ages ago.
It was disgusting to see the Democrats using the same myths and same old tired accusations.
I have watched in amusement as they tried to guilt-trip people back into the party. After the way they behaved?
That’s a club I’d never join.
They convinced me that it was high time to move on out of the Democratic Party permanently.
I agree. I would never support a candidate if that candidate had a group of supporters who continually attacked the opposition. That is why I like Hillary. Because her supporters would never behave like that. Continually attacking Obama. Threatening to vote for the Republican candidate, and such. It would never happen. And everyone on this site knows it.
It is for those reasons that this site is dedicated to continually attacking Obama. Because it is wrong for supporters to attack the opposition. Long Live NoQuarter!
Well, he’s fair game now, obviously. He’s not the candidate of my party any longer.
Obama had no problem endorsing Senator Kerry in 2004, who also voted for the war. That is why it was LAUGHABLE when Kerry tried to convince me and millions of voters that Obama has better judgment than Clinton because he opposed the war, or should I say, gave a speech when he was a mere piddly nobody running for state legislature in a highly liberal district. Yet he LIED in the debate when he claimed it was a “high-stakes” campaign for “U.S. Senate.” He is a flat-out liar. And his so-called speech was re-acted for an ad with fake crowd noises in the background. Need we even imagine what the reaction would have been from the Mainstream Media talking heads if Hillary had done such a thing????????
So you are saying Obama was wrong to endorse Kerry. But when Clinton endorsed Obama, I am sure you have a different analysis, yes? The reality is any politician who wants a future in their party, especially a shot at being president, has to endorse their party’s candidate. i wouldn’t read too much into Obama doing it or Clinton doing it.
They’re idiots. They think they can abuse her supporters and then guilt them back into the party. Any self-respecting woman would not fall for that tactic.
Oh please Obamabots forgive the Dems who voted for the resolution. They’re the biggest hypocrites ever!
They can’t admit that they’re voting for Obama because they simply like him without knowing anything about him. They can’t justify the fact that he is abysmally unqualified so they try to take this false high moral ground that it’s because Hillary “voted for war”. Bull!
Obamabots are the singularly most stupid voting block since McGovern/Nixon in 1972. But to be fair to McGovern who is a decent man he was actually qualified and experienced. It was his crazy supporters who threw the election for him.
THE TRUTH SPOKEN DIFFERENTLY MANY TIMES FROM OBAMAS OWN LIPS… WELL WHERE DOES HE REALLY STAND ON FREE TRADE?

[...] Another Bush/Obama Similarity . . . [...]
Has anyone noticed- 9 times out of 10 when you go to the CNN home page there is an article about Obama- and almost always it is positive or informational on something he is proposing. I rarely see anything for McCain except negative. Looks like the CNN team is out to crucify McCain the same way they crucified Hillary Clinton in the primary. When is America going to wake up and see the obvious blatant bias from CNN- “The best political team” on television? NOT.
The swift-boating of McCain has already begun,
Same thing at Fox.
I am beginning to think that the corporate media want Obama elected because he IS more like Bush than McCain is.
Did you know that Obama will bring back the Draft.
That’s right folks!
Anyone that tells us that he will get us out of Iraq no matter what the conditions on the ground and then turn around and get us back into Iraq if Alqueda sets up a base is looking at the ultimate in casualties and quagmire. Not to mention Obama’s stance on bombing a nuclear power like Pakistan or his new found knowledge that Iran is a grave threat and not just some tiny state
All this miscalculation on the part of Obama and his minions will insure endless war and a certain draft for all those kids that think he will prevent war.
McCain hates war but will do what’s necessary to protect the United States of America
Big deal. I’m pretty sick of that whole thing. Crap, he’s voted to FUND it over and over again.
He’s a hypocrite and so are his minions.

You all should read the post on Rezkowatch about Obama’s online donations — including the sources he links to:
http://rezkowatch.blogspot.com/2008/06/more-about-obama-style-campaign-reform.html
The basic point is this: Obama’s campaign allows contributions to be made online from some 227 different countries (including Iraq, Iran, Yemen, etc.) Because the FEC rules are that campaigns don’t have to keep track of donations under $200, there are no records of the millions of small donors who give to Obama.
This stands in sharp contrast to Hillary: on her website, if you wanted to donate from abroad, you were directed to a page that told you her campaign would only accept such donations by regular mail and that a valid copy of your US passport or green card had to be attached to and match your check.
Remember when Obama was giving Hillary crap for the Elton John concert? What a hypocrite!
I’m fairly certain that Obama has bamboozled the DNC regarding his actual doner support.
I’m just sure I’m right. No proof. The test will come when those mythical doners don’t materialize.
I also think the voters will evaporate, too. It’ll be astonishing that the turn=out was “lower than expected.”
“Does it really matter if Obama is a Muslim?”– If he gets donations from Muslim nations it matters a hell of a bunch.
The Muslim countries are simply in awe of the idea of Barak Obama. He is the same to everyone…a blank slate that people project their hopes.
What has he done for the AA community? Well nothing really, but they project their hopes on him because he looks like them. The Muslim world is absolutely astonished that we would seriously consider anyone with an Arab name and a Muslim father from Kenya and a Muslim step-father from Indonesia for the presidency. Will he do anything for them? NO probably not.
Humm is that why gas is $4.00 a gallon, so muslims have more to donate?
The only difference is, a lot of the OB supporters are the Stick It To America Crowd. No such thing with Bush.
er well I don’t beleive that . Bush people stuck to the American people pretty good don’t you think?
How does Obama feel about NAFTA? After watching this video I’m very confused.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vy63fPbYrYo
lol*…..well, he uh, uh, *wink*, *wink*……
isn’t going to do anything regarding NAFTA. That was just for Ohio primary.
I didn’t know where to put this , so i put it here
The New York Times has just leaked the name of a CIA Agent.
Anyone taking bets about what a non-story this will be?
http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2008/06/ny-times-leaks.html
In an astonishing stroke of irony, the New York Times has outed the name of the CIA operative who interrogated 9/11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, over the objections of CIA Director Michael V. Hayden and a lawyer representing the operative.
Agency officials and legal counsel told the Times that publishing the agent’s name would “invade his privacy and put him at risk of retaliation from terrorists or harassment from critics of the agency.”
In an Editor’s Note linked from the story on KSM’s interrogation, the Times defended its decision by stating that “other government employees” had been “named publicly in books and published articles” or had chosen to go public themselves, by explaining that its policy “is to withhold the name of a news subject only very rarely,” and by arguing the operative’s name “was necessary for the credibility and completeness of the article.”
Times reporter Scott Shane describes his scoop as “the closest look to date beneath the blanket of secrecy that hides the program from terrorists and from critics who accuse the agency of torture.”
What I am most appalled about is it seems to me that the media is soft on Obama issues that make major statements about who Obama is. Obama makes a mistake or changes his mind on and issue and the media just slaps his hand a few times, and then say they’re sorry and that it’s ok that he did a no-no and told a fib because he’s so popular the people will forgive him and it won’t affect his campaign. So in my opinion the viewers are saying well if the media is giving Obama a pass it’s ok.
There is never a time when it is ok to fib to get what you want and he’s teaching the wrong message to our children.
People may not mind if you change your mind if it is for a good cause but they do care if you fib about why you’re changing your position. Obama is not only changing his position but he’s blaming someone else and saying the system is broken. Obama never takes accountability for his decisions. I can not wait until everyone understands that he is also changing his position on bring the troops home from Iraq.
Obama is blaming McCain for the levees not holding because he didn’t vote for the PORK bill that would repair bridges and levees. People the bill passed but the levees were never reinforced and I am asking: WHY NOT? The media should be investigating why the levees were never fixed with all that money that was appropriated to that fund. Now that would be an interesting news story. Oink, Oink!
Okay. A subdued rant. Saw the first oblowme ad here in Ohio. :::gag::: If you are a voter who hasn’t been paying attention, you’re left with the impression that:
1. He was raised in Kansas by mommy, gramps and gram who baked cookies and only saw the inside of a bank when she went to pay her mortage.
2. He worked his way through school.
3. He turned down jobs from “big (read “bad”) Wall Street firms [are those the same people bundling money for him?]
4. He worked really hard for people in Illinois — Chicago not mentioned.
5. In case you didn’t get the sense from all of the pictures, he LUVS America … no “k” in America ….
Yeesh.
Hey everbody ! I am from Kansas!
And my name is Toto.
I found it interesting that the frame was offset putting his head to the right of the frame. Moving to the right BO?
.
We have seen his wife (unscripted and now scripted and coddled - The View).
WHERE IS HIS OTHER FAMILY?????????
THE FAMILY THAT DOES NOT ATTEND TRINITY, THAT LIVES IN HAWAII AND KANSAS?????
This is all wrong.
Granny lived in Mercer Island WA as a vice president banker before moving to Hawaii for her new position as a banker..president no doubt.
Granny made lots of money and paid for BHO schooling even though Obama and granny’s husband abused her.
Granny used her clout and money to get BHO into the finest schools.
Both BHO and MO got affirmative action scholarships also as well as granny’s help and MO’s engineer dad’s help. The engineer job was affirmative action too and “given” to him without earning it because he had political connections-he worked or City of Chicago Water Bureau-city water bureaus were famous for affirmative action across the country and later to extend that to women in the early 70’s as I recall. They paid 3 times the average salary.
Why do tthe minions feel it is so important to say BHO and MO had ‘loans’ and scraped by? Because they were told that? It’s not true. Granny was a rich banker and even put her daughter Stanley through Anthropology school.
So granny was the intellectual and not Obama’s father like Obama leads people to think it was his father who was the intellectual..no. Grampy didn’t work and was lazy and a suspected drunk like Obama’s father which is one f the reasons why Stanley Ann was attracted to Obama’s father.
Obama’s Propagandistic Iconography: the Making of a Messiah
http://newsbusters.org/blogs/warner-todd-huston/2008/06/22/obamas-propagandistic-iconography-making-messiah
It’s a shame that Hillary had to suspend her campaign to get any decent coverage of a speech she gave today. All the jerko’s at FOX news wondering what she would say about her future political plans. Thanks to those a-holes, they killed whatevery plans she may have had drooling over pampers until they helped him game the election process. Too bad no news agency anywhere has been willing to vet this guy before it’s too late. McCain doesn’t stand a snowballs chance in Hades of beating him as long as the MSM continues to push him as they are.
The press only covered her because for some ludicrous reason, they expected her to talk about Barack Obama. I guess she disappointed them and him by letting them know that the world does not revolve around Barack Obama and that people aren’t thinking about Barack Obama all day, every day–in spite of the fact that Mr. Me thinks they should.
Wouldn’t it be great if every time she appears with Obama, all she talks about are the issues important to us and doesn’t plug Obama at all.
I’ve been saying all along (not here) that Obama is a third term for Bush…not McCain. I’m glad to see that I am not the only one who sees this.
This is of interest because of the larger anti freedom ramifications relating to the activities of some Obama supporters:
Is 1st Amendment on life support?
Obama BIRTH MYSTERY
http://texasdarlin.wordpress.com/2008/06/22/obama-birth-mystery-cont/#more-379
I thought he was king of the pod people?
I’m hoping Texas Darlin keeps mining this one and her pick strikes gold. Obama was not born a citizen..
18 was the age requirement to be married in 1961.
It’s quite clear that since the gage to decipher the code meaning of BHO...that when he meddled with McCains’s ‘citzen issue’ in February, it points to Obama being guilty of not being a citizen. Remember, he projects everything he is guilty of as a psychological ploy to distract from the truth about himself. By pointing a finger at McCain for no real reason at that time during the Dem primaries, he is really telling me that he was not and or is not a citizen.
That’s the only thing Oliar Obama does consistently. He projects his own guilt onto others. In this case the citizen issue projected onto McCain.
Also his projecting is done to define the rival (of what he himself is guilty of) before the rival can define themselves. I doubt it will work with McCain like it did Hillary.
So I say based on his Mode of Operation, he is not a natural born citizen.
O’Bush Obama
Bush: brain-numbing fear rhetoric
Obama: brain-numbing feel good rhetoric
Bush: the unifier who divides
Obama: the divisive uniter
Bush: the guy everyone wants to have a beer and burger with

Bush: If you’re not with me you’re a terrorist
Obama: If you’re not with me you’re a racist
Bush’s brain: Carl Rove
Obama’s brain: David Axelrod
Bush: pretends to clear brush like a regular guy
Obama: pretends to bowl like a regular guy
Bush: ultra-thin resume
Obama: ultra-thin resume
Bush: entitled narcissist with funny ears
Obama: entitled narcissist with funny ears
Oh, SNAP! This is PERFECT!!
Unfortunately, even Bush was at least a governor of a state before becoming president.
Obama has a few years of part time (many people don’t realize state legislators “work” about 2 months a year) state legislature work, and a hundred or so days of being a real senator.
With Bush, people were able to look at his Texas record and see how he would govern. Inexplicably, they still said, “oh, that’s ok.” With Obama, we really do not have ANY inkling into the type of leader he is. He gives a great speech and makes empty people “feel good….” So does Tony Robbins, the motivational speaker guy. Doesn’t mean Mr. Robbins is qualified to be president.
This was my favorite Hillary quote from the primaries:
“I have a lifetime of experience I will bring to the White House. I know Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience he will bring to the White House. And Senator Obama has a speech he made in 2002.”
Can we add “daddy issues” to that list as well?
I totally agree. What about how both Bush and Obama “win” an election and yet their supporters are the worst winners ever. Remember the use of “Sore/Loserman” for Gore/Leiberman by Bush backers? And now we have all the name calling to Hillary supporters by Obama’s backers. Yet both Bush and Obama are uniters!
You know what else? There are STILL Obama followers who think that Obama did not vote for the war because he…had a choice on the matter.
Obama wasn’t even a U.S. Senator until years later.
But, Obama sold it like that…SHE voted for the war, and I didn’t.
Yeah, dude, you didn’t even have the job to vote!
Then in 2004 you said that Bush was doing a good job on the war, and then you also said that you never saw the evidence so you wouldn’t know how you would have voted.
What a fraud this guy is.
Well, and don’t forget that not only do they think he actually was in the Senate, the same way Bush people thought Saddam Hussein actually had something to do with 9/11 (because that’s what they were EXPECTED to believe), but now tey think we have 58 states because he said so!!
Again - I thought HIS “followers” were supposed to be the educated ones! Ahem.
I COMPLETELY agree with the whole Sore WInners, thing, too. They fixed the nomination from the get-go, and still fight about him all the time. Wassup with THAT? Perhaps somewhere, buried DEEP within their collective conscience, they realize they have been had?? One can only hope that acknowledgement will work its way to the top.
Truth will out, as they say, and this site is proof positive of that.
You know, maybe there is something wrong with our education system.
Barack Hussien Obama, the know-nothing, do-nothing fraud.
Hey they both used cocaine and no one seems to care?
Don’t forget the wives!
Laura = a young Texan boy-friend was killed
in a car accident, when she failed
to stop at the STOP sign.Hit and run
too.
Michelle = said in her video that she wants
to rip-off Bill Clinton’s eyes out!
(she omitted the title, President).
How pathetic this two inhabitants of earth.
I want Bush and Obama to play Jeopardy who do you think would win? (I think it would be like a scene from SNL)
Oh gawd, that would be painful to sit through. Between Bush constantly blinking and smirking and Barky hmmmming, hawing and uh, uh, uh-ing, the viewing audience would be slitting their wrists five minutes into it.
Is there a level below junior high school?
Okay. ABC just played more than 5 minutes as to whether America is ready to elect an AA president and how oblowme is making a play for the evangelicals. Are we going to get all oblowme all of the time? Are we going to get ANY POSITIONS? Are we going to hear ANYTHING AT ALL about John McCain? I mean, you know, the other candidate ….
I don’t think the GOP will wait until October to unleash their surprise on Obama whether its some video or something else.
I agree, they will have to attack hard and fast to try and prevent McCain from being swiftboated. Cripple Obama early, put him and his huge bank roll on the defensive. My guess is Late August right after the convention. And I’m just going to sit back and say “Told ya so.”
You’re probably right. His arrogance needs to be cut down fairly soon–as a warning of what’s to come.
Let em’. It just bores everyone now. This is Sunday, no news day. Soft filler stuff nobody watches anyway.
From very early on, you could tell the similarities. If you said anything against Bush, he turned it around and said that you were against the troops. With Obama, he says you’re racist. Same strategy, different insult.
The GOP better get on the damn ball.
I WAS pleasantly surprised, however, that Obama only raised 22 million in May, while McCain raised just shy of that.
Here’s to the end of the Obama gravy train. Hopefully he’ll be screeching for public finance soon enough!
Great ARTICLE. Impressive USE of caps THROUGHOUT. The make of a REAL professional. ANd this piece, likening Obama to Bush, dovetails nicely with the piece posted a couple of hours ago that likens Obama to McGovern. Every student of politics knows that Bush and McGovern are essentially TWINS.
Good JOB.
tweedle dee and tweedle dumb!
Plain to see!
Glad to see you were focusing on the important aspects of the article, Ted. It is just that sort of scrutiny that permits people to vote for someone like Obama!
Actually, I determine who I vote for based on their policy. Obama and Clinton are extremely close in terms of policy, which I think is the main reason the campaign became so personal. There just isn’t much difference between the two in terms of political position. Which is good, because I agree with almost all of their policy. McCain, on the other hand, offers a very different choice, and one that is not aligned with my political views. Therefore, I’ll vote for the democratic candidate.
Taxes, energy, environment, abortion, expanded Executive power, unilateral foreign policy - these are the things that matter to me. Not how someone scratches the side of their face or what is on their birth certificate (I have never seen a presidential candidate’s birth certificate in the 40 years I have followed politics).
And I know it is a political liability, but I am glad Obama has been exposed to a wide range of political views and cultures. Most highly educated people seek out such exposure to enhance their understanding of all sides of complex issues. Only in the climate of political character assassination does this become a bad thing. That’s my opinion.
Does it bother you that his policies flip-flop?
Yes it does. However, unfortunately, it sems every politician does this. McCain does it more than just about anyone, so I don’t see this as a reason to choose him over Obama.
Words are what you are getting and not anything about issues as in “all sides of the issue”. There is the truth side and the lie side..that’s all. There are facts and misrepresentations..no other sides are existing. Obama is full of …….words. He will say what he tinks you want to hear.
I am sorry Lou, but I don’t understand your point.
No, troll, you dont understand a thing, not a thing, never did.
Why start now?
Maybe reboot.
“And I know it is a political liability, but I am glad Obama has been exposed to a wide range of political views and cultures. Huh?? Um, Clinton is the one who has traveled to over 80 countries, been to Iraq, and has actually worked on complex issues. Just when did Obama do all of this? When he was a child in Indonesia, and couldn’t (or wouldn’t) learn the language and wanted to go back to Hawaii to live with his grandparents? Or do you mean the backpacking trip in Pakistan when he was in college? Oh, right - he went to Africa. So, lessee - that’s a far cry fewer than Clinton, so that kinda blows the logic of your argument. Unless you mean it was a political liability, and character assassination, for HER, in which case, true!
And I might add that their policies may LOOK similar, but SHE is the one who WROTE them. Why go with the guy who just mimicked them? That makes no sense to me. Or maybe that’s the point…
I was not comparing CLinton to Obama. But since you did, I meant him living in different countries and having relatives that are Muslim.
But I agree, Clinton has been exposed to other ccultures as well. I was thinking more of Bush, who isolates himself from just about everything.
I am not convinced that Clinton “wrote” the policies on the issues I mentioned above, since they all predate her entry into politics.
But, as I said, had she won th primary, iwould be happy voting for her.
