My Response to Personal Attacks and Threats

James Meeks, black liberation theology, hate speech
My name is Paulie Abeles and until two days ago, most people knew me as a typical busy wife and mom. I am a life-long Democrat. My father, a triple eagle at Boston College, campaigned for JFK’s first Senate campaign; my mother actively supported Democratic candidates. My parents instilled in me a strong sense of fairness and equality, a thirst for knowledge, and an expectation that intelligent discussion should be based on well-researched facts. I graduated from Smith College and have worked for Salomon Brothers, The Stars & Stripes, and The Freight Forwarders Council.
I have spent the past six months actively supporting Hillary Clinton by setting up a network of bloggers to ensure that Senator Clinton’s positions were understood by the electorate. My family and I campaigned on her behalf in the primaries. I supported Hillary Clinton because of her experience, knowledge of the issues, and her practical approach and commitment to the bread-and-butter issues facing this country.
During the campaign, I have become increasingly alarmed by the refusal of the media to properly scrutinize Senator Obama’s actions and associations. I have also been appalled by the political maneuverings of the DNC to ensure that their chosen candidate was selected—including, just as one example, breaking their own rules to ensure that the two states that supported Hillary were stripped of their delegates even though five states broke the rules.
Lastly, I have been aghast at the vitriol and name-calling being spewed by Obama supporters against anyone who has an honest disagreement with them.
As documented throughout by the “attack timeline” formerly found on the HRC website—the Obama campaign employed a concerted strategy of constantly questioning the likability, honesty, experience, and integrity of Clinton. While the candidate portrayed himself as ‘above it all’—his campaign relentlessly faxed pages and pages of material designed to stoke the fires of false controversies.
I do not believe that Barack Obama would make a good president of the United States. Frankly, I think there is a minimum standard of accomplishment and experience we should expect from a candidate for the toughest job in the world. By any metric Obama falls short. Kirk Watson couldn’t name Senator Obama’s legislative accomplishments. I can– two bills: to promote democracy in the African Congo and to name a post office. Certainly, Senator Obama’s 130 “present” votes in the Illinois legislature when asked to take a stand on controversial issues do not inspire confidence.
Many of the people that supported Hillary Clinton have similar reservations about Senator Obama’s fitness to lead. Thus, on Saturday, I helped organize an informational meeting and teleconference with John McCain for supporters of Hillary Clinton who were trying to decide whether to support Barack Obama or John McCain.
Less than 48 hours later, I was attacked, called “deeply racist”, a “lunatic”, “rabid” and with “a history of jobs, statements, actions and practice that leave her very vulnerable to accusations that she is a ‘racist’”. One site even claimed: “keeping black people out of the party has been a lifelong ambition of hers.” The basis of the attack was a controversy involving my husband’s ancestor, Thomas Jefferson.
As many of you have probably heard, some descendants of Sally Hemings, a slave in the household of Thomas Jefferson, have claimed that they are descendants of Thomas Jefferson. Sally Hemings had three sons: Thomas Woodson, Madison Hemings, and Eston Hemings. Descendants of Thomas Woodson had their DNA tested 7 times—each time there was no match. Descendants of Madison Hemings declined to be tested. The white descendants of Eston Hemings had their DNA tested and were a match to a Jefferson, but the DNA tests could not determine if the Jefferson genes were from Thomas Jefferson or one of the 27 other Jefferson males that lived in the area at the time and visited frequently. Additionally, since Thomas Jefferson was 64 at the time of Eston’s birth and was suffering from prostate cancer, which often caused impotency, it is less likely that Eston was a son of Thomas Jefferson. A 2001 Scholars Commission of 13 prominent Jefferson historians (including the former chair of Harvard’s Department of Government), examined all the evidence for a year, and issued a 500-page report that concluded that the allegations of a relationship between Hemings and Thomas Jefferson were not true, and that was not enough evidence to determine Eston Hemings’ paternity.
During 2003, a member of the Jefferson family set up a Yahoo chat room for family members and Hemings descendants to discuss the issues. Unfortunately, discussions became strained and many individuals who disagreed that Thomas Jefferson fathered Eston Hemings were barred from the site. Bloggers from both sides used assumed names to try to get information from the other side. When the moderator discovered me, a Washington Post reporter asked me if I was on the chat room under a pseudonym—and I—foolishly perhaps—answered honestly.
However, it was never a racial issue. Eston Hemings’ descendents (the only Hemings that applied) are, by any calculus, white. No doubt passions at the time were overheated, and honorable people can disagree. Part of the consideration was that as DNA typing becomes more sophisticated, a definitive analysis could prove the issue in the future.
This is the sum and total of the activities for which I have been vilified. I am a private citizen who has never held a position with either the Clinton or McCain campaign.
But, there is a curious double standard at work here.
Barack Obama, the presumptive nominee of our party and possible President of the United States participated in a racist church for twenty years. A church whose “Black Liberation Theology” is the apotheosis of hate. In one year alone, Senator Obama contributed $22,000 to support the church. He has allied himself with other racists: namely Rev. James Meeks and Father Pfleger.
The National Review reported that in a single year, Senator Obama appeared on the cover of the church magazine four times. Three of those times, Senator Obama shared the cover with Louis Farrakhan. How is this double standard rational?
I am a mother of two small children living in a diverse community who has seen my life turned upside down by half-truths and vicious attacks. Some have printed my address and phone number. I have been harassed and threatened.
But, as far as I can tell, that has been the Obama campaign’s strategy all along—to isolate, to discredit, to destroy. But, Clinton supporters have seen this game before. You will not frighten us anymore. Even when four of our member networks were disrupted by mysterious viruses—with barely 24-hour notice—we managed to turn out thousands of HRC supporters on a conference call with John McCain. Supporters that will not, under any circumstances vote for a “democratic” party that disenfranchised us—not because we are racists, or ‘closet republicans,’ but because we are Americans.
And that must have you very worried.

No, of course not, someone carrying water for the Jefferson family’s baffling unwillingness to even admit that the family had black descendants couldn’t possibly have a racial angle.
Thanks for taking a stand Paula…

Turning out support for a John McCain conference call seems a helluva roundabout way of supporting Hillary Clinton. If we’re as resilient in the face of oncoming fire as we purport to be, why aren’t we getting together, going to Washington and blocking the entrance to DNC headquarters over its extortion of Clinton and illegal nominee declaration? It has been two weeks now and nothing like that has happened.
I’m all for a Boston Tea Party type statement to the DNC… I’m ready to dump Crates of Blue Koolaide in Lake Michigan if that’s what it takes. The best way to get at a candidate and their party is to take away the money. If all the HILLARY bundlers and finance people do that, and say, look i appreciate what Hillary has said, but I’m not giving money to some one I personally don’t support, than the DNC should be waking up. Judging from the number of money requests that I’ve gotten from the DNC (all of which I’ve replied to with bright pink florescent markings “NO OBAMA EVER” and monopoly money) show the money is going else where. His fundraising numbers weren’t that much off McCain’s recently.
DRY UP THE DNC and THE OBAMA money. That’ll get their attention
Also STOP volunteering!!!! ALL THE WAY DOWN THE TICKET!!! SAY be the democrating f*ing party or forget my vote, my money, and my time!
This is the key…Money.
Follow the money.
Barackula is a puppet.
Factcheck2,
YOU SAY “Turning out support for a John McCain conference call seems a helluva roundabout way of supporting Hillary Clinton.”
Actually, it’s the perfect way to support Hillary Clinton.
Hillary supporters have two scenarios in front of them. 1) Obama implodes, the Supers come to their senses and Hillary beats out Obama at the convention. 2) Obama hangs on, wins the nomination and our choice for President is either Obama or McCain.
To support Hillary winning the nomination, we have to keep blogging the truth about Obama, writing letters where it counts, helping Hillary retire her debt and declaring loudly that we will vote in a Hillary bloc for McCain if Obama prevails at the convention.
If second scenario is all we have - Obama or McCain, then the only way to keep Obama out of the Presidency is to vote McCain.
Obama and the DNC are wildly happy that Hillary supporters are so naively splitting their votes - some won’t vote at all, some will write in Hillary, some will vote for the Green Party and so on.
EVERY SINGLE VOTE FOR ANYBODY OTHER THAN McCAIN IS A VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA. This will be a close election - remember Nadar siphoning off a few votes and handing the Presidency to Bush?
Continue to support Hillary for now, relentlessly declare your intention to vote for McCain if it comes to that.
DO NOT GIVE MONEY TO McCAIN AT THIS TIME!!!
He could end up being Hillary’s rival. Wait and see what the convention brings. Obama is in for some rough road between now and Denver.
If we do have McCain as the only decent option after August, remember that everybody expects a strong Democratic Majority in both the House and Senate. McCain will not be able to get conservative judges approved (including a conservative on the Supreme Court), and he will not be able to continue Bush’s war without funding from Congress.
McCain will be a lame-duck, one-term President that has little power or influence - and no one needing to appease him.
Meanwhile, Hillary can be building her base for 2012.
HOLD YOUR NOSE - USE YOUR HEAD - VOTE FOR DEADLOCK - VOTE FOR JOHN McCAIN!
…if it comes to that.
I can’t stress this enough. Take no chances. Do not waste your vote.
If not Hillary, then McCain
I don’t suddenly like John McCain because I dislike Obama.
I don’t have the same contempt for his supporters, but I certainly have problems with his positions.
I just keep coming back to the issues.
Much on my mind today is the fact that the McCain national energy policy is simply a cosmetic makeover of the Bush energy policy.
Confronting the realities of America’s energy future is for the most part seen as a matter of clearing the way for the short-term profits to be had from domestic offshore drilling.
This, despite experts agreeing that those reserves are very limited; that we couldn’t look for large-scale production until 2030; and that domestic production would likely serve a worldwide market, having little effect on domestic pump prices.
Experts generally agree that the “gas tax holiday” is as bogus as political ploys get. It wouldn’t make a huge difference to consumers, and the government would simply use a more devious and less efficient way of getting the same money out of your pocket.
McCain’s “alternative energy” initiative is pretty much idential to that of Bush. It’s just a bit more lipstick on the same pig, applied in an effort make it more attractive.
All this comes down to is an effort to maintain the oil industry status quo for another decaded. But the looming global energy crisis is far bigger issue than four-bucks-plus at the pump. We don’t have four years left to piddle around with the same old B.S.
The wise among us are saying we need to treat this like a national emergency; that we need to turn and charge full-tilt toward proven alternative energy technologies now, with the funding and single-mindedness of the Manhattan Project or the Apollo Program.
They’re absolutely right. We don’t have four more years.
Enough solar energy falls on a tiny fraction of our deserts to supply the entire energy needs of the nation. Permanently. We could develop the technology to harvest it in a decade. We wouldn’t need a separate expensive global climate change strategy, because solving the energy problem would be our strategy. Our remaining oil reserves could be utilized to make the transition to a future where we’re not a nation of pathetic oil junkies, wandering the world’s back alleyways looking for our next foreign pusher.
tiberious,
I agree the energy problem is paramount. However, we can’t let our political election system collapse by being held hostage to one issue.
McCain is not an evil man by any means. And he will have a strong Democratic Majority to deal with.
It would take another idiot like Bush to stand by cluelessly and let the nation go down the drain in an emergency. I don’t believe McCain - under pressure from a freaked-out public and a powerful Democratic Majority - will block attempts to “save the nation” in crisis.
We have to navigate ourselves through a less than perfect situation here.
I say elect McCain - if we can’t have Hillary - and push him to do the right things.
Remember, right now, McCain has to appease the far right to get elected. My guess is he will move to the center as soon as he becomes President. I doubt even he has illusions about having eight years in office - so no need to kiss the butts of the right for 2012 election purposes.
McCain has a long history of working across the aisle.
Our option is to endure eight years of Barack “the Chicago thug” Obama preening around the White House playing President.
Oops!
I meant to say “Our ALTERNATIVE is to endure eight years of Barack…playing President.”
Obama is untrustworthy period. He has sold out so many progressive agendas that trusting him to resolve the energy crisis is unreasonable. I appreciate that you have given thought to serious, but it is clear to me that Obama will not be a part of the solution. Obama is ambitious, and that’s the only kind word for him.
Excellently put, Linda A. I agree on all counts.
I agree I do not feel much power within myself to acomplish what I feel must and should be done, organizing to defeat the injustices on Hillary Clinton.I am not a racist but have found out that the racism derives and is embedded in churches like Wright and his liberation theology from the very people who accuse racism.America Found out where the true racism exists and it turned its ugly head back 40 years. Most Americans thought that racism against the Afro American people had diminished. When you think of Condolisa Rice,Colin Powell,Princeton, and a candidacy to the Presidency though I might add Never has a black President has been elected in our nation. But in Retrospect Neither has a woman.
So what then was the DNC thinking to allow both to run together in such a Historical Campaign? So then a thought, are we to measure the importantance and equality in who was the winner between a Historical first woman or or Black President? Did this not in itself cause a turmoil of thought In the minds of Americans? We coukd go down a whole new sugjuect there for instance in how Black Americans treat their woman. So there you have it woman are least respected in society. So where does that make us better then Afghansitanian woman or African native woman. We could talk about the slavery of woman in History and their opressions. And of course I cannot rule out other minorities like Mexican,Asian,Indian, ect ect that have made it to the most powerful positions of the United States. But under all those nationalities is it not the woman in every nationality that feels the opression and the unequality?
Why then did the Democratic party not equally stand up for Hillary in this Historical election.Stand against the news media. For Gods sake even woman polititicians have their heads up their A$$!What are they living in denial or Acceptance of where they are allowed to be in life. How many woman just accept their roles and work their hearts out to please in the roles they have submitted to?
What’s everyone going to do when they see Sen. Clinton campaigning for Obama next week in FL., OH., MI., TX., PA., and elsewhere?
How will everyone feel about what she said about Obama? I can’t watch. This man is very wrong for POTUS and watching Senator Clinton stump for him is more than I can bear.
How does everyone feel about that? Does it feel like more abuse piled on top of abuse?
While Clinton helps his sorry ass, Barakula won’t give her a nickel toward paying off her campaign debt.
He doesn’t have the nomination yet. If things go wrong for him, she needs to be seen as having behaved responsibly towards the party. That doesn’t mean his supporters will feel good about her, but it will make it possible for her to proceed with some level of reasonable freedom with everyone else.
It’s essential that she do it. it’s essential for this country that she do it. She’s a professional pol and she must deliver.
I’m not gonna watch of listen because it’ll make me crazy, but she’s bigger and smarter than me. And it’s the right thing for her to do.
But will that ruin her? Her 18 million supporters are now being told to vote for him..when they do not want to?
Lou,
Hillary has no choice but to kiss the rings of Obama and the DNC. You’ve got to know it makes her nuts to do it, but it’s her only political choice.
If by some miracle she ends up with the nomination, she cannot win the Presidency without Obama supporters and the support of the DNC.
FOR ALL OUR SAKES, HILLARY HAS TO BE A GOOD DEMOCRAT AND TOW THE LINE.
No one should desert this admirable woman in some naive belief that she has - in her heart - subjugated herself to the Democratic opposition.
We have to be smart, stick by her and politely ignore her (forced) pleas for unity - until after the convention. Then, everybody will have to make their own choices.
Hillary is not the issue anyway. Obama and the DNC screwed half the Democratic voters - my half. They cannot be allowed to get away with that unless we are willing to face doom for our political system and the country. God knows, we are hanging by a thread now.
STAND BY YOUR WOMAN! EMPATHIZE WITH HER, DONATE TO HER, POLITELY IGNORE HER CALLS FOR UNITY - until after the convention.
It’s takes one hell of a strong woman to stand up there on that potium, with Obama, and praise this guy. I know I wouldn’t beable to do it. I just hope all her money backers, don’t back Obama,or the DNC until we see what happens at the convention. I only heard she’d be with Obama next Friday.I never heard of any other engagements. Her strong supporters, must know what happened here, and if we are all upset, I’m sure her backers must be.
Saying somebody has to lie and sell their soul in order to stay in good standing with the Dem Party is pure B.S. Barack has done none of this. He’s given Clinton the finger and trashed her like a whore. And no penalty from the Dems.
Sen. Clinton, on the other hand, has received the Stepford Wife treatment from the party. That’s why she either needs to be rescued or called to account for her hypocrisy and going back on her promise not to quit. For her to endorse and abuser and a scoundrel is not OK. And she knows how bad this guy is.
Click on my screen name for an article about the October Surprise she was hinting about in May
Factcheck2,
I can’t decide whether you’re politically naive, politically suicidal or just politically idealistic to a fault - maybe you’re all three.
You wish for a political world that only a Barack Obama can sell - and we see how that’s turning out already.
It would be great if Mr. and Mary Poppins were running for the big one in 2008 but that’s not what’s on our plate.
You and I are obviously engaged in politics and pay attention to what’s going on. But the great silent majority out there - the voters who will really decide this election - are not even paying attention. They decide on headlines, sound bytes, personal bias, etc.
That sad ignorance of anything other than the shallowest knowledge of what makes up a candidate’s character and policies is what makes political game-playing the necessary evil that it is.
Now we can sit around pining about what could be - and lose our butts, or we can get in there and fight the good fight to get the best possible candidate in office.
The time to work for changing the system is when a President is in place and governing can begin.
When that time comes, I’m with you all the way on fixing the mess that we call elections and governance.
But right now, we have a dirty election to win.
We have to be smart, stick by her and politely ignore her (forced) pleas for unity - until after the convention. Then, everybody will have to make their own choices.
I agree. She’s earn our trust with her hard work. She could have quit in Feb, but did not. She’s trying to keep the party in one piece. I really can’t see Obama lasting till late Aug, that seal is crazy!
I cant stand the thought of Hillary lowering her standards and campaigning for that that that I cant say the words to describe him I wish her luck if she keeps her fingers crossed while shes talking nothing she says nice will count. It is so wrong of the party to even think she should help him.
Thank god for all you bloggers it has helped me see I am not alone. jeanlyn
Because they’re moving to Chicago?
Start organizing one? Many of us will happily partake.
Thank you for posting this Paula. It is terrible that having a political Opinion now engenders ‘Death Threats”. You did a stellar job on Neil’s show last week.
Paula, are you or members of your husbands family members of the “Daughters of the American Revolution” (DAR) or a related group? If so would you be so kind as to provide readers here a brief explanation fo the grou, and as to WHY linneage is considered so crucial?
Sincere appreciation for all you do. Stay strong and know you are not alone.
You have the thanks of many of us, Paula, for standing tall and speaking out. There are many disturbing aspects about this campaign season (the media’s near complete abdication of objective reporting is certainly one, but the virtual thugdom emanating from the Obama camp is truly frightening. Anyone else out there hearing the echo of jackboots?
yes, Paula, THANK YOU!
you are not alone.
Imagine if an Obama supporter, banned from a Hillary website because of a “disagreement”, started posting under an alias. How would you kind folks react? I’m sure you’d scream “nazi”, “thugs”, “black separtists”, etc. But, when YOU do the same thing in an effort to deceive the Hemmings descendants, that’s just..what..nobility?
Everyone:
Take a look at this YouTube Video:
Obama Lies Again, Maybe We Should Believe Larry Sinclair
http://youtube.com/watch?v=5ZIR4nTAZaY
There he goes again…
Barack Obama lying his ass off again…
I’m starting to believe Larry Sinclair…
We should take up a collection and publish Paula’s post in the NYT.
That f*cking paper WILL NOT SAY ANYTHING about this.
I would like their readers to know what is really going on, and not being reported.
Their only comments are justifying Obama’s refusal to help Clinton pay back her debt, EVEN AS SHE ASKS HER SUPPORTERS to donate to his campaign. The NYT says it’s because the Obama camp still harbors anger over Clinton’s negative campaign. The COMPLETE OPPOSITE of what really happened.
Send it to a British newspaper. They LOVE stirring the waters!!!!
I think this is a lovely idea. It appears that only the overseas press is willing to step on the Great One’s toes.
That’s why BO was whining and crying at the Women’s Black Caucus meeting last week: “THEY hurt MY feelings!” This is a leader? He’s pathetic, as MO pointed out. The ultimate narcissist. I’m glad that he doesn’t recognize or care about reaching out to HRC supporters. It will sink him in November, and I do NOT want this man anywhere near the presidency.
Hubris will be his undoing, just like the Greek tragedies illustrated.
I just watched all 6 tapes at youtube about the Larry Sinclair Press Conference and I believe him. I believe him because I also believe that honesty is the best policy and that a lie, even told to protect one’s family members usually backfires at some point. That Obama would run and hide from his drug use and alledge bisexuality actions to protect his wife and daughters is understandable. However, the behaviour is and should be made known and I don’t think fitting of a presidential candidate. We know what Bill Clinton did in the WH and what the country went through, we should be smart enough to prevent another impeachment on sex. If Obama is guilty we need to know now. and he needs to step down NOW!
Each of these tapes was about 10 minutes long but worth listening to and one should listen and make your judgement if Larry Sinclair is telling the truth. I believe him.
Obama’s been very hypocritical on many issues and his words are often phony. Better that we fix the problem now before the GE.
Well, it was a bit like following a good trial. The defense team always makes sure the “con” is at ease with talking about his past crimes.
It’s all about credibility.
I don’t have an opinion other than I think some smart young journlist should find this limo driver and interview him.
Is there no one interested enough to follow up these days?
Heck, the limo drive COULD be so unconvincing that we all just decide Sinclair is just a life-long nutcase.
But I’d still like to hear a follow-up.
Well I suggest the media prove Larry Sinclair is a liar and then I’ll vote for Obama.
Until then NOBAMA!
What makes you think he isw protecting his family?
Is there a follow-up on what happened to Sinclair after his arrest?
I think the allegations made by LS regarding Donald Young are the most disturbing. Don’t you? What if BO was involved with D Young and Young was killed for threatening to expose BO. A lover’s quarrel maybe? Who knows, I think it should be investigated. On talk Radio a reporter said there were many reporters at LS NPC so maybe one of them will find something.
Also I believe Bill Clinton’s impeachment was that he lied under oath about the sex.
I totally agree, chills went down my spine when I read the transcript and discovered he had been murdered.
It happened in December 2007, so who knows? Maybe a concerted effort by Axelrod and Obama to make sure Young never squealed to the press?
Hello? Of course. The term is obstruction of justice..usually means holding back info or lieing.
Oh and there were 3 gay men fron the church muderdered between Thanksgiving and Christmas eve. This is not new news. It been around since it happened. The cover up had been going on ever since. The parishoners gave away the clues of BHO’s involement. People know wat went down but like all the other issues, no one is paying attantion except it is being investigated.
Paula, you and Larry will be seen as patriots at the end of the day!
Stand strong. I believe somehow all of this is going to come back on Obama tenfold. If Obama loses this election, it is basically the end of his political career. That may be his reward.
“IF” he loses? Let’s make sure that he becomes the loser at the polls that he already is as a human being (I almost feel sorry for him. . . he truly needs psychological help).
NO, I FEEL SORRY FOR YOU! AT A TIME THIS COUNTRY HAS FALLEN TO ITS LOWEST POINT DUE TO THE CORRUPT REPUBLICANS AND INCOMPETENT PRESIDENT WHO COULD’NT EVEN PUT A SENTENCE TOGETHER (WHICH EMBARRASSED US) WE HAVE NO NEED FOR YET ANOTHER FLIPFLOPPING FOOL! WE NEED A WHOLE NEW MAKEOVER IN OUR ADMINISTRATION AND OBAMA WILL BE THE ONE TO DO IT! NO MORE CRIMINALS IN WASHINGTON, NO MRE LIERS WHO CAN’T REMEMBER ANYTHING, NO MORE PERVERTS PLAYING FOOTSIE IN THE BATHROOMS! ONCE WE HAVE THE MOST DECENT PERSON, OBAMA, IN THE WHITEHOUSE IT WILL BE ONCE AGAIN BE A GOVERNMENT TO BE PROUD OF! THE CLINTONS HAD TOO MUCH BAGGAGE IN THEIR LIVES AND TOO, TOO, MANY DEATHS FOLLOWING THEM WITH PEOPLE WHO CROSSED THEM! GO OBAMA!!
Ah, Bill…..put your glass of Kool-Aid down. Actually, put your 2 liter bottle of Kool-aid down.
We don’t agree with anything you have SHOUTED at us and we never will….include never will vote for Obama.
And I’m a (former) lifelong (42 year) Democrat.
Wow — ALL CAPS — very scary…….
That’s why you must not vote for the flipflopping fool Obama.
Yeah RIGHT. A crooked politician is going to clean up the Washington corruption just because he says words to delude to that. There you go again. Barack Obama lieing again. Can you keep track?
Why didn’t they want Senator Clinton? Why?
Because she is the one who they fear will clean up the corruption. Judge a person by the company they keep not by the words they say.
I’m not seeing anyone corrupt in Senator Clintons
sphere of support or friends. Like McCain said, it’s all about trust.
WE HAVE NO NEED FOR YET ANOTHER FLIPFLOPPING FOOL!
Lol! Hey Bill, do you actually read? Obama flip-flopped on no fewer than 4 major issues this week alone: Iraq, NAFTA, FISA, and public financing. He is making every other “flip-flopping fool” look like an amateur–and he’s just getting started.
And lies?? Do a little research Bill, this guy lies like breathing. There is not enough room to even begin the list here, but don’t worry, I saw Karl Rove reel off a list of BO lies, readying to expose him, and they are paying close attention.
I feel sorry for you and you’re completely misinformed euphoria, because you are going to crash hard with disappointment when the illusion is dispelled. Good luck with that, and keep a good therapist on speed dial.
WE HAVE NO NEED FOR YET ANOTHER FLIPFLOPPING FOOL!
Based on some of his recent policy changes, that would be Obama, wouldn’t it?
I can’t believe that someone is so ill informed that he blames everything that has gone on since 2000 just on Republicans when we all know that it was done with Democratic help.
Who took impeachment “off the table”?
We wouldn’t be having any of these discussions if the Democratic majority had half the courage of the voters and kept their promises of 2006. And now they are trying to stick us with another specious replica of GWB.
(Another one blinded by The Obama.)
Dear Paula,
I saw your interview on Fox last week and sent you an email of thanks and admiration.
How many of us are there? You have obviously become a magnent so perhaps you have an idea. I see thousands of comments on dozens of blogs but that’s just the very small universe of the political blogs. Is is an indication of a larger current across the country?
I had doubts about Obama from the start. The Hope & change stuff rang so empty to me. But when I myself was bullied and insulted by Obama worshipers I really began to wonder what was going on. He was inspiring such hostility and hypocrisy.
Let us know how you think we can best organize. I never ever thought I would be supported a repbulican…but to remain silent is to condone the outrageous behavior of the Obama campaign and the DNC.
Thank again for your courage. I support you 1,000%.
Sincerely,
Sarah
p.s. take a look at the video under the entry “PUMA’s response to Obama’s plea for us to “get over it”. You’ll appreciate it!
OOPS! here’s tshe link
http://riverdaughter.wordpress.com/
I loved the video, but I scrolled down and watched the one made by Obama Nation. I am not ashamed to say, I am terrified.
Thank you for speaking out. Stay strong and keep the faith. You are not alone.
Dear Paula,
Thank you so much for speaking out about the harassment and threats you have suffered at the hands of Mr. Hope and Change’s gang of thugs.
There are many of us, as you know, who have been called racists, republicans and other names, usually having to do with body parts, and many of us who have received death threats. They are meant to intimidate and silence.
I so appreciate your honesty and strength. BO’s followers don’t like being compared to Fascists, but they don’t mind behaving like them.
Just Say No Deal!
http://justsaynodeal.com/index.html
I was not surprised to see a blog make an unsupported statement that you had a histroy of being racist. I don’t know you, but I can judge a sad attempt at smear when I read it. I would be offended that the campaign of my candidate used such tactics if I were a Obama supporter. But I’m not and it continues to amaze me that people can abide such tripe and call it hope.
Anyone know how much blogging involement the Nation of Islam members have in the Obama Campaign?
Thank you. It takes a lot of courage to stand up in the public eye, go on talk shows, and write about what has happened to you. You are doing a great service by informing the public of the systematic tactics of the Obama campaign. Their use of race baiting and bullying tactics cannot be tolerated.
I hope the American people will wake up to what is going on. Thank you again.
Thanks for responding to the charges, Paula.
Thank you Paula.
I dislike the name calling if you support Hillary you are called uneducated, racist, gun toting, bible thumping, wack jobs - I am none of the above..It makes me sick. This isn’t political change it’s the same old same old. Obama is no different from the old boss. I am surprised that he hasn’t moved the White House to Chicago and claimed himself president yet.
Have you seen the big new emblem Obama has on his podium yet I guess he designed it. Its as though he thinks he is already elected what a crock. jeanlyn
I just want to share something I encountered couple of days ago. I met a friend of mine after long time. The first thing that came out of his mouth was “that bitch is out of the race”. I couldn’t believe since he has never been hostile towards women. Since he became an Obama supporter, he has become what I have encountered on blogs and boards.
I have been reading quite a lot of message boards between Obama supporters and Hillary supporters. I don’t seem to understand why Obama supporters are so vile. I find that Hillary supporter are more civil and more fact oriented.
I asked why he liked and supported Obama? His response was “He is intelligent, inspirational, brings change and hope”?
Then I asked him how does he inspire? He couldn’t answer that.
Asked him what does Obama stands for and what has he done to prove that he is worthy of being the next President? I got the same answer “He is inspirational, brings change and hope?”
I am baffled that no journalist or supporters has asked him “HOW is he going to bring about change?… What steps are you going take in order make the changes you promise? show us some examples as to how you going to accomplish these changes… or what are you basis or past experience, accomplishments etc…”
You see when I go for job interview they drill me to make sure I am a perfect fit and candidate for the job. Most fortune 500 companies CEO hired based on their experience and accomplishments. Why aren’t’ these questions being addressed? If he went for the job interview I went, he would be still looking for jobs hopelessly. He is not accountable for anything? He has to earn it and not given to him on the platter. If lazy, over indulg and self-entitlement feeling spoilt young voters are voting for him… man you guys are waiting for rude awakening. All I can say is that the DEMS are idiots.
People are just blindly following him like in a cult. Very scary. Another note, I noticed that he copied lot of Hillary style speeches and ideas. I have to give kudos on thing, he is an expert on copying
To make long story short, my friend is a graduate from one of the best universities in North America, didn’t know too much about Bill Clinton or any other presidents except for JFK. He said he was greatest president. Asked why was he great coz he gave excellents speaches So I enlighten him about past presidents and also told him my point of view of Obama. He was shocked and angry.
This is best part, he is going to volunteer for his campaign and he is not a US citizen and he has contributed to his campaign. I was also told that LTTE (a terrorist organization) has endorsed and contributed money to his campaign. By the way Clinton office rejected and returned campaign funds from LTTE supporters in America http://www.asiantribune.com/?q=node/9566
Hope?
Change?
I only hope that people wake up and change this sad outcome
I wonder how the Obama campaign has that effect on people.
There was a documentary last night on ID channel about Heaven’s Gate. I don’t know how many remember that cult? It was a UFO religion led by a man named Applewaite. He convinced his followers if they went through his training classes, they would be accepted by the mother ship when the time was right.
The “right time” came with Hale Bopp comet in 1997 after Appelwaite found out he was terminally ill. Thirty eight of them committed suicide by poison.
In 1978 over nine hundred people “drank the koolaid” in Jonestown, Guyana in the largest mass suicide recorded in modern history.
Do I need to mention Charles Manson? How and why would a large group of people set aside reason and fact to follow someone else and put their complete, unconditional trust in a relative stranger?
I am not in anyway suggesting obama mania is an example of these tragedies. I hope it another fad like the latest xbox or cellphone. None of the comments I have seen posted by his supporters are in the least suicidal, but some of them are murderous.
So only Hillary’s supporters are allowed to volunteer to help ?
Denounce him to the F.E.C.
Any proofs ? Any links to newspaper articles ?
Plenty of terrorist organizations have contributed to Barky’s campaign. It’s common knowledge.
It’s not common knowledge to me, never heard that before. Which groups? Where can I read more about this?
I had the same conversation with my brother in law. We have always agreed politically. When I told him I would not be voting for Obama he starting screaming at me. I thought he was going to have a stroke. I calmly tried to give him my reasons and he attacked my saying I was buying into the racist media. I asked him if he had researched Obama at all and he screamed again NO. So I’m the one buying into the Media?
Oh P.S. he too also called Hillary evil, evil. My 84 year old mother in law was standing there and she supports Hillary also.
I seem to remember him being a big Bill Clinton fan back in the day.
What makes these people snap like this. Kool Aid I guess!!!
It is a very strange phenomenon, and I hope good psychologists out there are documenting this behavior, and can articulate it clearly in the future. It is definitely aberrant.
That’s common. When I told some friends who have voted for Obama what Obama planned to do to the Oregon coastline with the LGN’s they almost choked. People supporting Barky have no idea what he stands for.
