Niccolo Machiavelli was also perfectly sane. What worries me about such men isn't their sanity. It's the banality of their evil.

What I meant to say was can you imagine, say, the world thinking the CIA, and other defense, functioned at the level of Bush, declined to the level of Bush, but the reality was movement in the other direction?

I mean, I can imagine some Russian waking up to find out the last 50 years, since Kennedy's death, esp the last 15, were all essentially misinformation, in terms of defense capabilities, or tolerance of treason?

Would make a good movie, I suppose...

Hmm....

I think we need to consider very carefully the old adage "The enemy of my enemy is my friend". This is the exact belief system that spawned Osama bin Laden. It is, in large part, responsible for America's loss of respect and power in the global community and the attitude that many groups have towards us including Al Qaeda, Hamas, and the Iranians (IMO).

Given that most of us here at NQ are devastated by the recent actions of the DNC and the raping of democracy, I suspect that the time may be at hand to take the higher road here and continue to consider Karl Rove exactly what he is (and that ain't good). A few well-placed remarks in the MSM supporting Senator Clinton do not make him any less of a slime bucket.

Yes, Rove is brilliant. Barack Obama is also fairly intellectual (yes, trolls, I said it). But in both these cases, having access to great mental faculties has not served these men well, as neither (IMO) have any type of a moral compass whatsoever. In Rove's case, it goes beyond self-aggrandisement (again, IMO) and actually becomes a game to him. He probably did not have anything to do with the obviously long-standing Democratic plan to annoint Obama, but don't fool yourself into complacency thinking he can't see a wonderful opportunity and capitalize on it.

While perhaps not an active participation in the coronation, and definitely not a believer, I am quite sure that Mr. Rove has dabbled his hand into the pot to assist the MSM and other "powers that be" in reaching their end goal (quite possibly without them even knowing it). Don't forget - we are nothing more to Rove than the enemy of his enemy, but that enemy doesn't become official until late August. Right now, Obama is the enemy of his long-standing enemy, Hillary Clinton. If you don't think that Rove has the ability to bring Obama down "for the good of the country" right here and now, you are being truly naive (IMO). So let's be careful who we trust, and sparing with the praise. A scorpion is always going to sting you; it's in his nature.

Not when it comes to treason, we're fighting for the integrity of our government, rove has been a fucking retarded disaster, as have the rest of the republican ko0ks.

I will not back down here, treason is zero tolerance, I dont think you understand the greater implications.

But thanks for your input...

NO, he can't.

Treason is by it's very nature flawed, it is NOT brilliant strategy, it is kook strategy.

Period.

This is neither the time nor the place, but sometime maybe we can have a discussion on why adherence to the US Constitution is the best guideline, and why guys like Cheney, and Rove have failed catastrophically.

Rove, at the very least, cheated to elect Bush.

how has that worked out for the US?

What has Bush achieved? How did outing Plame weaken the US national defense, US security against the Russians, say, or in Iraq?

A treasonous government, and a treasonous army cannot survive, period.

Brilliant, my ass, Annie, his tactics indicate he isn't even marginally bright.

Imagine, say, Rove were set up, he wouldn't even know...

Rove is treasonous, you can't buy into an enemy of state, period.

It's all candy floss and lollipops, the minute you do, and that's what we see in the Washington, and Pentagon bubble.

Maybe you just can't see it.
