Daily Kos, an Obama Activist, and Forged Birth Certifications

Why does a Daily Kos Diary writer, Democratic Party activist, and Obama supporter have two fake Hawaii Certifications of Live Birth posted to his Photobucket.com image album? Perhaps Jay Mckinnon, who appears on numerous progressive blogs under the screen name opendna and describes himself as a former federal officer and trained document expert for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) can explain the forged documents. One of the forgeries is appropriately labeled “Haye I.B. Aphorgerie” under CHILD’S NAME and the other is blank except for the same time (7:24PM) and Island of Birth (Oahu) as found on Obama’s suspect Certification of Live Birth. These forged documents were discovered in his photobucket.com album shortly after Daily Kos posted the alleged Obama Certification. Particularly interesting is the fact that neither of these fake documents displays the reversed time stamp found on the proffered Obama alleged Certification. The mostly blank certificate is thus perfect for the creation of a forgery. What follows below raises the question: is there a link between these forged documents and Barack Obama’s Certification of Live Birth posted at Daily Kos and on the Obama Campaign Website?
As a former broadcast news director and investigative journalist, I am cognizant of the importance of full documentation. So, in spite the fact that it may make reading this a little tedious, I am providing links to all of the information which follows. And, because of the tendency of things to disappear on the Internet, I have taken screenshots of each website which include properties boxes denoting the date and link of each item.
Let’s start with the forged Hawaii Certifications of Live Birth, which, as of 8am on June 26, 2008 still appeared in opendna’s photobucket.com album:

It is interesting that the certifications found in opendna’s photobucket album aren’t posted publicly. If you search for Hawaii Birth Certificates, Birth Certificate, etc, on photobucket.com, certifications of live birth in opendna’s image album do not appear, though many others do. He may have his settings on photobucket arranged so the contents aren’t searchable. In any case, his screen name or the acquisition of a link to locate his image album is necessary to locate these items. I stumbled on his postings by accident. And frankly, I have no idea why he might post such images on a publicly accessible website. Perhaps he assumed that private setting would protect the images….
After quite a bit of digging around the internet, I finally determined the identity of the individual who goes by the screen name opendna. On his official Democratic Party web page, opendna offers no real world name but identifies himself as:
“Canadian by birth, American by choice. Former federal officer (DHS) and persistent net-junky. I run LongBeachPolitics.org…”
After finding a Google reference to opendna.com, I researched the ownership of the site. Whois.com identifies the owner of opendna.com as Jay McKinnon, who lists a Canadian residence:

The real world identity of opendna is further confirmed on a progressive California website, which links an article by Jay McKinnon to LongBeachPolitics.org, the Obama Campaign, and the Democratic Party websites. Several images in opendna’s photobucket album also confirm the poster’s identity as Jay McKinnon. The photograph is of the same individual on all sites.

The issue of Obama’s Birth Certificate and it’s relevance to the forged documents found in opendna/Jay McKinnon’s photobucket album comes into clearer focus when we consider the fact that he also hosts a Daily Kos Diary:
The significance becomes even clearer when we consider his comments on the Daily Kos June 12, 2008 thread in which Obama’s alleged Certification first appeared. Responding to a request for a “font expert” opendna/Jay McKinnon offered his assistance: ”How about a DHS-trained document expert?”

(Note that today is June 27,2008 and this was posted over two weeks ago which would place the date around June 12-13, 2008…)
I am not a document expert. But the two certifications (on Kos and Obama’s sites) appear to be identical. The ones posted by McKinnon are notably different from those posted on Daily Kos and Obama’s Campaign Website. Specifically, they do not have reversed date stamps found on those posted on Daily Kos and Obama’s website. Nor do they show any visible signs of signatures or embossing such as those found on the widely circulated Decosta Birth Certificate. That’s apparently why “fingers of fury” suggests that opendna’s posting is where the alleged forgeries may have originated…….presumably because they would be easier to alter.
The timeline concerning the various postings referenced above is unclear concerning what was posted first. There is no way I have discovered to determine exactly when the forged certifications found in opendna’s photobucket album first appeared, though they were apparently discovered on June 12-13, 2008 as mentioned above. And it seems that the two certificates posted at Daily Kos and Obama’s Campaign website appeared about the same time on the morning of June 12, 2008, but I have been unable to pinpoint an exact time.
All of this raises some very interesting questions. There are lots of copies of Barack Obama’s alleged Hawaii Birth Certificate now found on the Internet. But the forged Certifications found in opendna/Jay McKinnon’s Photobucket album was first discovered there at almost the same time as Obama’s alleged certification of live birth was posted at Daily Kos. It is important to note that these documents have no time stamps. Aside from the fact that his possession of forged government documents is itself a violation of the law punishable by fines and/or imprisonment, it is likewise informative that Jay Mckinnon/opendna identifies himself as a “Former federal officer (DHS) and “DHS-trained document expert”. He also is a Democratic Party activist aligned with Barack Obama’s campaign. There is an open question concerning his citizenship (Canadian or US) and where Jay Mckinnon/opendna actually resides. But, given the evidence outlined above, I believe he should be required to explain to the appropriate authorities in Canada or the US where the forged documents in his possession came from and/or who created them.. Though there is no direct evidence that he produced the forged documents, it appears he has the skills necessary to do so. And, as the owner of a Daily Kos Diary, Jay Mckinnon/opendna is in close proximity to the original posting of the highly suspect Obama birth document. Obviously, if it were to be demonstrated that someone closely connected to The Daily Kos and/or the Barack Obama Presidential Campaign knowingly created and/or posted a fake Certificate of Live Birth, the ramifications would be enormous…. even more so if he turned out to be a foreign citizen. And Jay Mckinnon pretty clearly has some serious explaining to do.

If McKinnon really is part of the Department of Homeland Security maybe that also explains why and how an Obama person got into the passport files of Obama to change something in the database?

The Vancouver address is not a residence. there are oodles of offices at that street number - some seem to be actual businesses, but some appear to only be drop box addressess. Everything from cannibas seeds to a doctor’s office to film studios.
Further searching - I think the address in Vancouver is a UPS store, and they have mailboxes to give people an address. Certainly not a residence.

was listening to conservative radio (life is weird now)…but one of the hosts said he was born at the same hospital in Hawaii as BO just a few years after.
He also said that he ordered a copy of his birth certificate and said he and the radio show’s producer who is a photo shop wiz spent 3 hours trying to make his certificate look like the one posted on BO’s Fight the Smears site.
It didn’t work. The birth certificate was tri-folded and the BO version has one fold, the seal no matter how it was scanned would not look like the one on BO’s “certificate.”

I spoke with Jim Rutenberg several times about the piece, and he is a good guy. As you might expect, the couching of my videos is that the claims contained therein have been ‘widely debunked,’ etc.
Jim and I discussed this using the example of the word “Madrassa” in the Barack and Terrorists video. I told him that, technically speaking, my usage of the word madrassa is correct. And it is. A madrassa is a school, any kind of school. Now, is that what most people associate the word ‘madrassa’ with, your average school? No, they associate it with radical, fundamentalist Islamic schools.
But what is in my video is accurate.
When I said this to Jim he just laughed. He understood what I meant and realized this is part of the game that is played, politically.
As you guys all know, we are up against a parser, a flip-flopper, a line-straddler and an out-and-out liar in Barack Obama.
As I have said 1,000 times before, if my opponent goes to the mud then to the mud we will go. I have no qualms with getting my hands dirty or playing semantic games if that is what my opponent does. You have to fight fire with fire.
I’m not a liar, I won’t lie like Obama does. But I will use nuance against him as he has tried to do against us and Hillary (along with the outright insanity like calling people ‘racists’ and other Stalinistic tactics).
Just wanted to pass that along to you guys. The mention of me is mostly designed to cast a bad light my videos and make me look like someone the McCain camp doesn’t want to talk to, but that is ok. I can handle that, personally. I don’t have a problem with what was written (even though Jim did try, he told me, to write my response to the ‘widely debunked’ statement but ran out of space) and I think Rutenberg is a good guy even if the Times has their own agenda, which they do.
The bottom line for me is people will read the piece and be curious what the videos are like and they will watch them. If you watch them you come away feeling unsatisfied with the Obamas and not feeling as good as you did before the viewings as regards voting for Obama.
And that is the only thing we all care about here.
If my rep takes a hit but the net effect is to weaken Obama, fantastic. I’ll take that every day of the week.

sorry - in my excited zeal I over-reacted; this story (forged birth cert) was temporarily erased from the NQ site…one gets paranoid about this stuff!
It’s funny because someone posted a ‘blank’ birth certificate here at NQ to make some point in one of the threads. Only it wasn’t “blank”. It had a date and time left in. Some comments ensued, including from me. So being nosy, I saw it was a photobucket pic, so I pulled up the entire photobucket account, and cruised the pics. I still have the photobucket link somewhere.
I’m sure that conversation is in one of our threads on the certificate somewhere. I think I remember the name the member used. I will send it to Larry.
