It DOES seem exactly the same bait-and-switch Obama pulled on the Clintons, doesn't it? And much like Bush did in 2000.

Obama plays "above it all" while his surrogates in and out of the media trash his oppponent.

This is how he falsely painted the Clintons as racists.
This is how he claimed Hillary's comment about RFK's assassination was about HIM.
This is how he claimed Hillary was trashing MLK and JFK when giving LBJ credit for legislating civil rights changes.

For those who have been watching, the new McCain/Clark flap isn't anything new.

Next thing you know, Jesse Jackson Jr will be whining on CNN & MSNBC that McCain didn't cry after Katrina.

Well, I got news for Jackson. It won't work anymore.

Americans don't like presidential candidates who play the victim. It makes them look weak and wimpy.

The ISSUE on this "faith based programs extension" should be whether Obama will continue to operate it through the White House with no Congressional oversight, or whether he intends to allow Congress to oversee WHO gets the money and holds them ACCOUNTABLE for achieving goals.

If it's the same ole Bush thing, then it's just another political payback to favored Democratic supporters, and may become another $$$ trough for Wright/Ayers/Pfleger.

If it actually has Congressional oversight and regulations requiring oversight and accountability, that's something else.

So far, I haven't heard Obama mention any of that.

He's just throwing out "funding" to church groups to get political support, which is exactly what Bush did.

Come on, folks, this program IS funded by our tax dollars, and should never be operated without Congressional oversight as part of the overall budget.

Amazing, isn't it?

Both Kos and Huffington completely drank the koolaid and willfully trashed the only real progressive running---Hillary Clinton---and NOW they both have buyer's remorse for having stuck the Democratic Party with the weaker candidate.

Why anybody would trust their judgement anymore is beyond me!

I’m totally on board with Mccain over Obama. And He is a real patriot, definitely. Look, I always opposed Clinton for president. I would not vote for Hillary Clinton for president if this were there the LAST candidate left on earth. I really don’t understand the loyalty people have for the Clinton’s, and I’d rather not know. God. Yikes. Hillary’s foreign policy ‘experience’ is largely made up, The Bosnia sniper fire thing, etc. I don’t agree with key positions and votes of Hillary. However, Obama’s positions and voting record are nothing special at all, to say the least. His empty calls for “hope” and “change” do NOT square in any way with his voting record. There are lots of reasons not to vote for Obama. And He switches positions often. It is deeply unfortunate that many Mccain supporters were once Clinton fans, but I’m willing to overlook that. Welcome aboard. Enjoy this alliance of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” However, In 2012, I’m voting Mccain over Clinton (or any Democrat) without apology.

It's amazing how many people have noted the striking similarities between Bush and Obama. I've been saying it for a while and so have many others (like destardi, above). That we've all reached this viewpoint independently is interesting.

One other similarity they have is a love of props and costumes over substance: Dubya with his padded flight suit, Barky with his Preznential Seal.

If John McCain's people were smart they would run ads highlighting how Obama, not McCain, is "more of the same." It would distance JMcC further from Bush and make BO look really scary.
