Help Us Help Hillary!

As you are surely aware Hillary is in debt from her campaign. The campaign that energized all 18 million of us. The campaign that gave US some real hope. She even contributed 11 million dollars of her own money to help us.

We don’t need her to go to Obama and his donors to help repay this debt. This is wrong on so many levels that I won’t pretend to go into them all. Suffice it to say that she shouldn’t have to ask this dude for a single thing. She has too much dignity for that. And we all still love her.

So please join us here at No Quarter in combining our forces with the rest of the Just Say No Deal Mega-Coalition to help retire Hillary’s debt by July 4th. She gave us all so very much. It isn’t too much to ask that we return the favor.

And help her regain her independence.

Get out that credit card. Pull out the check book. And make the sum payable $20.08. Because this is the year Hillary brought us together. A year none of us will ever forget.

Please click the poster below to contribute — or just go to HillaryClinton.com.

If the parties won’t uphold democratic principles, who will?
If the voters don’t hold the parties accountable, who will?

you are being duped , if you write hillary in the vote will go to obama, they will not let hillary be the president,,they want obamam, they love the talibans, and hate americans..when are you all gonna realize this? thats why reid says oil will make you sick, but the middle east oil is just fine, cause they get our money…you think the economy is bad now, they only had 18mos to trash it, wait give them four years..they dont like americans,, its real plain to see, they tell us to drop dead, get over it.. line up..its all commy..talk..wake up

It depends what state you live in whether your write-in vote counts toward Hillary or the party candidate. My state counts the vote for Hillary.

Cool, I’ll go help Hillary! By following her and helping accomplish the goals she has worked for her whole life. Like she said,

The way to continue our fight now – to accomplish the goals for which we stand – is to take our energy, our passion, our strength and do all we can to help elect Barack Obama the next President of the United States.

Comment by Dan | 2008-07-03 08:08:51

Pretty much every post on this blog is an attack on the Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton included.

Thus yes, I believe that freepers have taken over this site. Given that I have never met a real Hillary Clinton supporter in real life who feels like you all supposedly do (and i know a LOT of former Hillary supporters), I simply DON’T BELIEVE YOU.

Democrats are united for Obama. You guys? You’re freepers at this point. And you don’t matter.

Have fun crying on November 5th.

Comment by nancysabet | 2008-07-03 08:39:43

Democrats United?? my ass. I have been dem. for 36 years and I am buying your argument. This time it’s different, our party has selected a nominee for us, 18 million dems have voted for Hillary! How can you say we are united?? Then why are you worry, why don’t you just go to hell and think we are united??

Comment by Bill Ohio | 2008-07-03 09:12:09

Bahh what a load of crap.

The DNC didn’t select anyone, he won the prize. The goal was to win the most delegates and he did. All they did was endorse the winner. Even if you counted the flawed elections in Fl and MI at full force she still lost. Face it she had a crappy plan post super Tuesday and LOST.

If she has 18m voters still supporting her then getting out of debt should be no problem , each of you give $1.25. That won’t happen, why, because most of those 18M people now support Obama, except a few dead enders. Everyone else has moved on, including Sen. Clinton and her staff. (except Lanny Davis)

If you have a concern with process it’s usually better to address that concern before the process starts and none of you did.

Quit whining, as Bill Clinton said, “politics is a contact sport” it’s not 7 year old soccer where they don’t keep score.

Clinton started with every advantage and still could not close the deal.

Now she is an Obama surrogate.

Comment by NY still loves Hillary | 2008-07-03 09:48:21

“Interesting” argument - you start out complaining that we’re Republicans, then end up complaining that we’re whining. Why would a Republican whine about Hillary losing? They have no reason to be upset about that - Obama is a Karl Rove feast!

To quote you, troll:

Quit whining, as Bill Clinton said, “politics is a contact sport” it’s not 7 year old soccer where they don’t keep score.

You wouldn’t know a real Democrat if your racist, elitist self tripped over one.

Comment by Bill Ohio | 2008-07-03 10:23:42

The two are not mutually exclusive. I know this may be difficult for you to understand but republicans are able to be upset Hillary lost because now they have to run against Obama.

Nothing gets out the Far Right vote like a chance to vote against a Clinton.

If Obama is such a Karl Rove Feast, explain the 4 special elections in red districts that they have lost trying to run against Obama. Oh, and McCain firing his campaign head yesterday, yea because things were going so well.

Look beyond the National polls (which Obama is already winning) Look to the state polls and things look pretty dark for you republicans. Just a quick note, Obama is even up in Montana, OUCH!

Time to grow up and stop acting like spoiled children.

You all blame everyone else for your shortcommings.

1. I was the Media
2. I was the DNC
3. I was evil Obama

How about this. Clinton ran a crappy campaign post super Tuesday and until Ohio/Texas where Obama opened a insurmountable gap. She gave away Cacus states nor recognizing the importance of said states. She spent her money foolishly heading into Iowa and you her supporters didn’t support her with money the way Obama’s supporters supported him with money.

Grow up and take some accountability and quit playing the victim card. The only victim’s in this deal are the people Clinton duped into contributing money even after the nomination was lost.

So please give more, I think it’s funny!

Comment by Bill Ohio | 2008-07-03 10:27:36

Oops those should read.

It was the Media
It was the DNC
It was the Evil Obama

When do you all start to take accountability? If you loved Sen. Clinton so much… 18M strong, why cant she get $1.25 from each of you to get out of debt. Why, because you are internet warriors and wont’ put your words into action. Won’t go out and knock on doors, won’t give your time and based on her debt won’t give your money.

Time to stop making excuses and look in the mirror.

Pathetic excuse makers.

1) We do support Clinton financially. We just don’t have all the big money that Obama collects illegally from terrorists.

2) If you’re too stupid to see you’ll be an Obama victim soon, then you’re too stupid to argue with. Sorry - I guess that’s stating the obvious.

But thanks for supporting our belief that you don’t really support Obama, you just hate the Clintons. Even after she came out for your boi. Now why would we believe that we’d be treated any better if we voted for that sewer scum?

Our goal is to defeat him and to defeat you

typical guy - you don’t get it. and you apparently have a reading comprehension block if you think this blog started as a “Democratic” blog. If I recall it was simply blogging about major security issues flaws in the Bush administration.

and the “ex Hill supporters” thing, what is that supposed to mean? we are still Hill supporters. I’ve never been a Dem and will always be independent, but many Dems have left the party after this election season’s debacle.

It’s so standard of a guy (not all of course) but a guy who’s probably in his 20’s early 30’s to be so blocked mentally and so behind the Ohbambi and not care about, just, down right FACTS asto why he shouldn’t be president.

Dante’s definition of pride, widely considered the most deadly of the seven sins:

“love of self perverted to hatred and contempt for one’s neighbor.”

Yep- that about fits the bill.

Comment by eurogirl70 | 2008-07-03 11:19:08

And to quote Dante Dave:

“The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who in times of moral crisis maintain neutrality.”

Sort of like not showing up for the vote against MOVEon.org and voting against condemning them. You know like Hillary Clinton did. Obama [cue crickets]

How about voting “present” all those times in the Illinois state legislature?
If you really truly believe something, then go on the record with it and stand by your convictions! Don’t say you are against blanket immunity for the telecoms and then vote in favor of it. Don’t say you are against certain aspects of NAFTA and then send your toddie Goolsbee up to Canada telling a different tune.

Don’t say that you are about personal responsibility and sit in a church pew where it is always someone else who is the cause of all your ills [whitey].

Don’t say that you will only take Federal matching funds in the general election and make it the cornerstone of your “new” kind of politics and then do an about 180.

Don’t talk about religion being a “personal” matter and then say you are going to extend President Bush’s “Faith-Based” initiatives.

If Hillary Clinton had pulled this kind of crap you would be calling this “triangulation”. Since it is Obama it is being “spun” and political expediency!

Call it what you will, but he is not a man of conviction or moral principals-He is “George W, the 3rd term”!

Comment by NY still loves Hillary | 2008-07-03 13:25:07

Ummm - that makes a whole lot of sense, Obot. Why wouldn’t we vote for the lesser of 2 evils?

Comment by Kevin | 2008-07-03 13:16:01

Ah, where to start, where to start…

For several reasons, your argument is a strawman, at best-

1) You did not quote Dante. You quoted John F. Kennedy. Nowhere in the Inferno will you find that quote. Good try though.

2) The time of ‘moral crisis’ you cite was actually in reference to the choice to worship either God or Satan while on Earth- comparing some of the choices Barack has made to Dante’s idea of ‘moral crisis’ is pretty funny, I must admit.

3) Even ignoring all of the above, your examples are full of hyperbole and exagerration:

“it is always someone else who is the cause of all your ills [whitey]“.

“make it the cornerstone of your “new” kind of politics”

I must say though, the “George W. the 3rd term” thing almost made me spit out my water.

(Comments wont nest below this level)

Comment by eurogirl70 | 2008-07-03 13:31:56

Robert F. Kennedy quoted Dante, not John F. Kennedy.

Dante, having been exiled from his own home due to the politcal wars in Florence between the Guelphs and the Ghibellines (of which he was a member of the black guelph faction)is telling. The current political climate parallels Dante’s in that those of you who voted for Nadar in 2000 as a “moral” stance, now are sitting in judgement of life-long Democrats who will not stand by a party that employes Republican tactics to quell dissent.

As for hyperbole, you have not once provided any counter-argument to the back-peddling that Obama has done on FISA, campaign matching funds for the GE, or NAFTA.

Did I say that I was going to vote for McCain? No. That is your assumption.

Look at the effort she put in. Hillary out campaigned Obama despite being out spent and Democrats HOUNDing her to drop out. Kennedy turned on her, Richardson stabbed her in the back, the media got on Obama’s bandwagon and insisted she leave. But she kept on winning –Texas, Ohio, Penn, and huge wins in W Virgina and Kentucky.

The best thing we can do for Hillary is defeat Obama. Knocking Obama out means Hillary is on deck for 2012.

NOW, with oBOMBalamadingdong strutting around like he actually WON anything because SHE GAVE UP. As far as happy to donate???Not so much. Her and Bill have a personal fortune and future earning capacity to more then cover that debt. Me, not so much. So, thanks, but no thanks. I NEVER was a Hillary cult member. She was simply the best candidate. I did learn to respect and admire her…right up to the time she CAVED! Comment by K. Wynne | 2008-07-03 08:28:51

Hey guys,

I’m upset that Hillary had to suspend her campaign, but do you think for one minute that she went through the hell of completing the primary (which was her right to do) so that she could “give up” as you put it?

I don’t. I think you’re missing the big picture here. The DNC didn’t expect her to stay in the fight to the end. They expected her, like her male counterparts, to give up much sooner, but she didn’t. She stayed in for us. Now we need to be there for her.

Do you remember what the media, the obama worshippers, the pundits, and the DNC did to her because she did merely what every other male candidate has done and stayed in the primary until the end? They attacked her unmercifully every single, f-ing day, and the obama whiners who are here today telling us to get on the BO train to nowhere were some of the worst offenders. I doubt they would blame BO, if the shoe were on the other foot and she had been “given” the nomination, instead of BO.

You guys shouldn’t blame Hillary. Blame the DNC for their betrayal of their membership, blame BO for standing silently by and allowing his surrogates to call her a bitch who would say and do anything to win, when it turns out that definition fits BO to a T.

DON’T BLAME THE WOMAN!

Comment by BJ | 2008-07-03 11:57:21

I don’t believe she gave up.. I think she showed more strength and gumption than we or any candidate could ever do. They ALLLLL were against her from the beginning. Anything and everything we can read proves the entire DNC was out to stop her, block her from the start and hand this nomination to the most dangerous, the most arrogant, the most unqualified unamerican (possibly not american) person there is.

I will support Hill in any way I can but I also will NOT donate one penny to her debt.. I donated plenty to her campaign. I think it’s a big mistake for people to donate to her debt. I don’t think they fully understand how this is all going to go down. But to each their own. I won’t waste our finances in this horrible economy to something I know will be taken care of one way or the other. She also has $20 mil (still) set aside that was for the general election. THAT never gets talked about. Will it be used for her debt? handed over to bambi? who the hell knows. But there is no way I’ll donate. For one thing these people have all moved over to support Bambi.. I cannot be a part of that.

If she’s in the running, I’ll help any way I can including financially. But she backed out and backed bambi- no way will I be a part of that.

I’ve been having some similar (milder) feelings lately, but I decided to make one last contribution on the outside chance that she is testing the waters to see if she has the grass roots support on whether or not to take the fight to the convention.

I must admit that watching her stump for Obama has been hard, even sickening, but I still believe she is the best candidate this season. I made my donation more for the salvation of the country than for Hillary. I figure if $20.08 can help save us from the same old same old of McCain or the horror of Obama then it was worth it. If it doesn’t help, it will likely be the last donation any registered Democrat will receive from me (unless there is an extraordinary local candidate). I’m done with these bastards.

“but I decided to make one last contribution on the outside chance that she is testing the waters to see if she has the grass roots support on whether or not to take the fight to the convention.”

Hahaha…the funniest part of this statement is that I think you’re being sincerely honest and really think there’s a chance of this happening.

Gee, up thread you were calling me a Freeper. Now I’m sincere. Make up your trollin mind, butwad!

Without a platform that is on training wheels, they have nothing but name calling.

I’m afraid there may be more than one Dave in this country of ours. Sorry, wasn’t me.

Comment by Dave | 2008-07-03 10:44:04

Though I must say, it has been awhile since I’ve been called a ‘butwad’- regardless of the (in)correct spelling.

Comment by NY still loves Hillary | 2008-07-03 12:00:34

So sorry - wouldn’t want anyone to think I didn’t mean buttwad. I doubt anyone was confused as to what you are “Dave”. Didn’t know that was a common name among Palestinians. I would’ve guessed something more like Aiham or Rashid.

Comment by skepticle | 2008-07-03 12:53:05

Yes, because real Americans aren’t allowed to have names like Aiham or Rashid! (Psst, your bias is showing…)

Comment by NY still loves Hillary | 2008-07-03 12:56:21

No, I meant like Obama’s buddies al Sammare and Khalidi, who are not any type of Americans - just like you!

Comment by skepticle | 2008-07-03 13:29:56

Wow, your chamber must really be running out of bullets if all you’ve got is “you’re not an American”.

wow, the freeper similarities are really starting to show now, aren’t they?

I originally thought that comment was over the top, but now I’m starting to think I was mistaken…

Off-topic, but does anyone else think that “he was a Constitutional Law Professor” will be the “Shut Up He Knows More Than You” line of the month?

Earlier this year, Obama knew more about racism because he’s black, so Shut Up. He knew more about poverty because he was the “son of a single mom,” so Shut Up. He knew more about the problems of the inner cities because he “grew up on the mean streets of Chicago” (LIE,) and was a “Neighborhood Organizer” (seems to me great experience if he’s running for the PTA) so Shut Up.

Now, we have no business questioning his flipflop on FISA and Faith Based Initiatives because he was a Constitutional Law Professor.

“Yes but didn’t he say about Wire-Tapping….”

“He was a Constitutional Law Professor. Shut Up.”

“I understand, but the First Amendment and religion…”

“He was a Constitutional Law professor. Shut Up.”

“Fine. Let’s get back to poverty programs…”

“He was a Neighborhood Organizer. Shut Up.”

How can someone with such a thin resume consistently use and get people to use that resume to silence critics of his current positions?

Comment by BJ | 2008-07-03 12:00:34

He said, and I don’t recall exact words but read them recently.. that he was a constitutional law professor and unlike Bush, he respected the constitution..

something similar to that, meaning that.

it was quoted in a recent article on his FLIP FLOP, HYPOCRISY and LIES on this issue among others..

Let’s see your resume. Then we’ll see which one is thinner.

You need to be carful asking for BO’s resume. As PagenPower pointed out in a recent Article.

Or any O’paper work that is “doesn’t exist”.
