PUMA CALL TO DNC DELEGATES

SELLOUTS ON FISA, NAFTA, AND
CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM
* * * * *
WANTED:
175 HONEST DEMOCRATIC DELEGATES
TO LEAVE FRAUDULENT OBAMA IN DENVER!
On July 3, Barack Obama revealed once and for all that he has run a fraudulent campaign in his attempt to secure the Democratic nomination for President. The foundation of Obama’s campaign had been his claim that he was the anti-war alternative in his opposition to Bush’s war in Iraq.
Now, in a North Dakota campaign event, Obama has declared that he will consult with the generals and “refine his position” on the Iraq war. The Washington Post headlined: “Obama May Consider Slowing Iraq Withdrawal.” But the real message is clear: Obama is moving rapidly away from his earlier 11-month or 16-month timetables for withdrawal and towards full support for endless war, conflict, violence, and bankruptcy in Iraq.
Samantha Power had confessed Obama’s doubletalk on Iraq months ago. The handwriting is now on the wall: Obama will soon go to Iraq, meet with General Petraeus, and then announce his Baghdad road conversion to a policy of open-ended military occupation, oblivious to the immense human costs.
Soon there will be no difference at all between Obama and McCain on the Iraq war, and the Democratic Party will have missed yet another historic opportunity to help the American people end Bush’s and Cheney’s failed Neo-Conservative policies. McCain is exploiting Obama’s radical shifts in position as examples that Obama has no principles, but only opportunism and expediency, and that his much-touted soaring words mean absolutely nothing.
We Democrats now have our last chance to reflect: do we really want to give our nomination to this little-known newcomer who solicited support as a peace advocate, but has now unmasked himself as being a candidate with positions closer to McCain on Iraq?
OBAMA BETRAYS DEMOCRATS ON FISA, NAFTA, CAMPAIGN FINANCE, THE DEATH PENALTY, AND MUCH MORE
From the instant that he felt that the Democratic nomination was in his hands, Obama has moved relentlessly to the right in a breathtaking, stunning exhibition of cynicism, duplicity, and fraudulent campaigning. Everything he stood for has been thrown overboard, and Obama has broken his verbal contract with his own core voters and donors.
Obama promised to stop Bush’s assault on the Constitution and civil liberties, and end illegal wiretapping. Now, Obama will vote for the Republican leaning compromise on the FISA bill, including immunity for the telecoms – something only yesterday he promised the Democrats who supported him he would filibuster.
Obama raised money from grassroots Democrats on the premise that their small donations would allow him to be free of the corrupting influence of big money, big business, and special interests, but he has now broken his promise by opting out of public financing for his fall campaign, junking the cause of political reform he claimed to champion.
In Ohio and Pennsylvania, Obama posed as a critic of free trade sellouts like NAFTA, CAFTA, and WTO, specifically telling voters that voting for Hillary Clinton would be voting to support NAFTA. Now Obama has told Fortune magazine that he is a great friend of free trade and the “market.”
Obama now openly supports the death penalty, more of Bush’s faith-based theocratic subsidies, and the “merit pay” assault on teachers. He wants to cut the corporate income tax, and he now opposes attempts to curb hand gun violence.
In a most glaring betrayal to his contract with the Democratic base, Obama’s current team of economic advisers suggests that he will soon come out for the partial privatization of Social Security, camouflaged as “entitlement reform.”
In short, Obama intends to betray not just his own basic commitments, but the historical foundations of the Democratic Party going back to Franklin D. Roosevelt. The modern Democratic Party was built on the New Deal Democrats, a party of shared responsibility, and a contract to be the voice and champion of working class Americans.
Obama’s “new coalition” dismantles the REAL Democratic Party and replaces it with an elite party of Neo-Liberals, stealing the mantle of FDR.
SENATOR CLINTON MUST BE OUR NOMINEE
DEMOCRATS DID NOT VOTE FOR THE OBAMA WHO HAS BEEN
RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT AFTER JUNE 3RD
If Obama imitates McCain on so many issues, the November election will come down to a choice between two individuals, and a fraudulent Obama will not fare well against war hero McCain, who is seen by voters as a straight shooter.
McCain will point out that voters cannot trust the disingenuous Obama, and on that, McCain will be correct. Fortunately, Obama has tipped his hand by dropping his mask too soon: there is no Democratic nominee until the Roll Call of the States on August 27, 2008 in Denver.
We are not calling for some futile and self-defeating gesture – we are pointing to the path that leads to victory.
With Senator Clinton, we have a superior, battle-tested, and winning candidate who is waiting in the wings, ready, and willing to take over. Clinton would be a reliable leader on the issues that have built the Democratic Party. She has stood firm on her positions — past and present — even when it is not politically expedient.
The lesson is clear: the Democratic Party cannot win back the White House without the support of the New Deal Democratic base and their ideals.
The Democratic Convention in Denver must put forth a candidate that represents the values of the Party of FDR and that will win the hearts, minds, and votes of Democrats in November.
The Barack Obama running after June 3rd is not that candidate.
We must have an open convention in Denver — not a thoughtless coronation — so that we can seriously deliberate the far-reaching choices the party must make in this time of war and economic depression.
175 PATRIOTS CAN SAVE THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY
BY NOMINATING THE TRUER DEMOCRAT
The fate of the United States — and the future of the Democratic Party – now rests with a minimum of 175 Democratic delegates who must now exercise their mature political judgment in the service of their country, and turn away from Obama to support Senator Clinton.
As of now, Obama has about 2229.5 delegate votes, with 1766.5 pledged delegates and 463 super delegates.
Clinton has 1896.5 delegate votes, with 1639.5 pledged and 257 super delegates.
Shift just 175 delegates from Obama to Clinton, and Obama’s power grab comes to a halt.
There must be no nomination of Obama on the first ballot. Once Obama has failed to secure the nomination on the first ballot, the party will be able to reflect on who the nominee ought to be, based on the experiences of June, July, and August.
Senator Clinton is pledged to an orderly, sane, and secure pullout. Clinton wants mandatory universal health care and a freeze on foreclosures. She wants to shift the federal gasoline tax away from motorists, truckers, and farmers and towards the Oil Industry.
Obama is on the wrong side of all of these issues.
Hillary Clinton is and has always been on the side of traditional Democratic Party values.
We want a president from the Democratic Party, not from a small group of elite, libertarian Neo-Liberals. Lexington and Concord were started by a few dozen farmers.
Does the Democratic Party still have 175 patriots with the courage to take a stand?
PUMAS URGE YOU TO BRING TO AND END WHAT HAS BEEN A MOST FRAUDULENT CAMPAIGN
We are PUMAs — Democrats who reject an automatic proxy vote.
Instead, we are fighting for real Democratic Party values and the future of the party we love and still claim as our own.
We call on the delegates to the Denver convention to search their consciences, their experiences in past elections, and their own common sense.
Our party has had enough of defeat and retreat. We must not allow the DNC to impose on us yet another losing General Election candidate.
Obama’s anemic poll numbers already foreshadow defeat in November, and his continuing sellout on the issues is only making matters worse.
We urge you to reconsider your vote for Obama, and to instead vote for Senator Clinton — the strongest candidate, the people’s choice in the popular vote, and the candidate who has and will continue steadfastly to represent the core pillars of the Democratic Party.
Vote to seat Michigan and Florida at full strength as elected in the January primary. Organize your fellow delegates to block Obama.
Vote for Clinton, for victory in November, and for an end to the long nightmare of the Iraq war.

Go PUMA! Go PUMA! Go PUMA!
Now wait a minute, Will. Consider the enemy we’re up against here - the investment banks, oil companies, etc., all supporting Obama. And his economics team from the Milton Friedman “free markets run amok” model at the U of Chicago. The following article, Obama Represents Bush’s Third Term, puts all this in perspective.

Now with all this money being thrown at delegates, is it reasonable to think that a well thought-out rationale will change any of their minds, or that a protest in Denver will do the trick? It’s a fair question. Why not fight the DNC where they’re vulnerable, with their bogus nominee declaration on June 3rd in which they allowed superdelegates to vote 3 months early after stripping Florida/Michigan delegates for their states voting 1-2 weeks early? We’ve got them by the huevos on this point, and by forcing the DNC to restore those pledged delegates NOW or be labeled unpatriotic, Clinton will have to withdraw her endorsement and get back in the race, as a Democrat (or I think more successfully) as an Indenpendent.
Problem is, this can’t wait until August. Every day that passes is like the Headless Horseman riding through Sleepy Hollow and claiming more victims. That’s why we need to put the DNC up against the wall in their own D.C. backyard, and do it tomorrow.
“No nomination without representation.”
175 delegates is less than 3.5 per state, counting Guam, Puerto Rico, etc. That doesn’t seem so insurmountable when you look at it that way.
I hope somebody does something soon. Hit the DNC from every direction.
Very good!
The problem that I see and no one has addressed this issue is let us say we are lucky and Hillary gets the nod, and further more Hillary indeed becomes our President.
The “problem”, she will be stuck with a democratic congress that HATES her, how would she handle this?
I guess they’ll just have to “GET OVER IT!”
Yep, they will “get over it”.
hates her?? She was given a standing ovation when she returned to the senate.
They have their fingers crossed hoping and praying that something will happen. They are counting on the people to overhaul his ass. They are just as worried and scared as we are. They have the inside dope and many of them have no choice. He knows them up front and personal and he knows where they live.
SNEAKK
Say NO to Electing A Kenyan King.
Yeah, he’s an American, right. That’s why he stepped in now to be POTUS. He’s been writing propaganda since he was 35 years old.
Who is so important that they write 2 bogus biographies without a single accomplishment.
If he was a true blue American he wouldn’t be using our African American’s heritage to stage this coup. He is stealing the prestigious
and honorable distinction of being the First African American President. We have so many qualified and capable African Americans that deserve to be our President. People who have spent their entire lives in public service making a difference.
Who is this person and where did he sneak in from?
I am not so sure that the tap is still running so freely. He was receiving a misleading amount of republican money to battle HRC. And. Some of those “little” voters are significantl disillusioned so that they are not going to freely fill his coffers. I for one am really holding my breath for the release of June’s fund raising numbers. May’s were dismal. Add that to no money coming in for the DNC and you have a very good look at how the prospects look not just for the top of the ticket but for all of those who fill the congressional seats that — at least theoretically — should be more important than the Presidency.
Even when the $$$ numbers come in, his will be bogus, as usual.
HOW in the world do you propose we do this? They certainly aren’t listening to any of us. We’ve tried e-mails by the millions as well as withholding donations to the DNC but with Mr. Deep Pockets it doesn’t seem the DNC needs our money anymore. I believe we are millions strong but it doesn’t seem anything we do is “holding their feet to the fire.”
Any suggestions?
I will go to Denver (God willing), but I don’t think it will change anything. (Unless of course a miracle happens.) I go there to show and to keep the spirit.
I think the DNC will fight to keep Obama as nominee. They will not want to look like idiots.
I believe that our battle will be at the voting booths. We have to mobilize everybody we can - to vote against Obama. We can take 4 years of McCain any time over Obama’s.
The money for the DNC and Obama travels very dark roads. They will have what they need - from Soros and others.
The DNC will wake up when it is way-way too late.
That’s why her best bet is to run as an Independent. But she has to have the justification to withdraw her endorsement and restart her campaign. That’s our job, and the way to do this is to raise a huge stink outside DNC headquarters in D.C. There, we have to present ourselves as bipartisan patriots, representing all Americans who despise tyranny. That’s why a reenactment of the Boston Tea Party on dry ground has been suggested by different people. It will take celebrities and folks willing to get arrested in order to corral the media into covering it. If only we could get one of the major groups to sponsor, but unfortunately, they all seem to be run by men, except for the ones who are consuming themselves with the heavy task of retirning Clinton’s debt, which are run by women. So even the movement to get a woman candidate elected president is bound by traditional sex roles.
Anyone planning to go to Denver, please be sure to take your Homeowners/ Tenant insurance policy with you. The liability section provides bail bond. And God knows we will need it.
Remember Florida 2000 and Ohio 2004 and the primaries 2008?
They have already figured out how to steal our votes. Beware.
Beg Auchi and Alsaamare to join PUMA?
The DNC Red Army will be very displeased.
WOW, nice job.
“HONEST DEMOCRATIC DELEGATES”
is that an oxymoron?
Hey there, I’m an honest democratic delegate. Watch what you say. It’s the politicians we have to worry about.
Do you, as a delegate, have any ideas of what we can do?
I’m sure they meant SUPERdelegates, where fear of a well-funded primary opponent, bribery and blackmail come before honesty.
GO PUMA GO AND DO NOT BOTHER COMING BACK.
Nothing but a bunch of Republican Tricksters and RNC Shill sites.

This “Trickster” wants nothing more than HRC’s superb health plan for his grown children who cannot afford health insurance.
And I am in the blogs fighting every day simply for that.
Clinton is driven, crazed to make this plan her legacy.
Obama does not have
. a robust plan, and;
. he does not have the SPINE or the initiative to get it through.
He couldn’t even get the radioactivity out of the drinking water for his own district.
We aren’t leaving and we aren’t stopping. What part of this are you having a hard time understanding?
ukfordems: And your point is? Go spam some UK site troll.
I believe it was about a week ago I posted in the comments here Obama would take McCain’s policy on the war in Iraq…He did this throughout the campaign to Hillary’s policies…it was just a few days and he did it…he (obama) took her plans repeatedly and claimed them as his why would he not steal McCain’s….
someone replied back who will he copy if he wins the White House….I don’t remember who they suggested.
I am here to say I told you so…I have put off doing it but this post seems to be the appropriate post to do it in…..I hope people realize that he has done this all along before it is to late for real change…Hillary Clinton….
30yr we have “told you so” bumper stickers at liberalrapture.com
I need to get some of those!!
Why is it that sometimes when I go to LiberalRapture it is all messed up?? Blog roll down the middle and such….
Anser is: Bill Clinton. Ovomit already took his accomplishment of reducing the welfare rolls to 80% and claimed it for his own..arghh
Only thing is that the reason the welfare rolls were reduced by big dawg is because they all got training and good jobs from Big Dawg and Hill
Who will Obama copy if he wins in November? Ghengis Khan, most likely.
Bill, Bill, Please come out from where ever you are! We need you!
175 True patriots…please step forward and save us.
I seriously got an email today forwarded from some new age channeller who is excusing Obama’s flip-flops as something he has to do to pretend he’s on the side of the Illuminati. The cognitive dissonance of these people is astounding.
http://hillaryorbust.com/2008/07/the-most-bizarre-obama-excuse-ever/
I believe it is illiterati in Oblahblah’s case.
I’m surpise they haven’t said its because he is black and therefore has to win the white vote this way. “Ahhh sucks donald, He’s just foolin with ya!”
Believe me BO will play the race card more than ever right before the convention in order to intimidate the delegates who are now beginning to see the truth. They’re so afraid of the “racist” label that barring any unforseen, external obstacle they’ll crown him in Denver. Remember, right before the RBC met in May the MSM ratcheted up the discourse on the race issue. The Democratic Party’s been hijacked by the worst possible people, from the”Goddamn America” crazy preacher to Marxist Soros and on and on with this cast of characters. God help us all.
A comment left on my blog speaks to the race card playing in a way..here is some of it…
The racial differences in this election are a smokescreen for the REAL differences between Obama and McCain (or Obama and his followers on one hand and most of the country on the other). If Obama et al. can keep us bickering about “racism” and “race-carding,” we’re not talking about the real, underlying issues, and on those issues I would be for McCain and against Obama if McCain were black and Obama white. So my response to “race-carding” is simply this: “Voters, black, white, brown, and whatever, are entitled to make an ethnocentric choice if they wish. Now, let’s talk about what matters . . . .”
This guy has some pretty good post on his blog that I have read….check his place out when you have the time…
http://jay1949.wordpress.com/
The only thing they are more afraid of than the race card is losing to McCain. If Obama were 15 points behind in the polls against McCain they would dump him.
Then he needs to play the WHITE race card because that is what he is if he’s American.
I’m a pledged Hillary delegate. Don’t forget about us. We need to keep Hillary’s pledged delegates in line or even a few disillusioned Obama delegates switching sides won’t help.
Hillary National Delegates Unite!
I was elected as a delegate to represent those who voted for Hillary in the primary in my district and I promised them I would support her to the end. Even though Hillary has suspended her campaign and offered her support to get Obama elected in November, I intend to carry out that promise.
I support the work of The Denver Group and the I Own My Vote pledge, but these efforts will be meaningless unless we can keep the delegates together. The party rules allow delegates to vote for anyone. They are supposed to vote for the candidate they were pledged to, but the convention rules don’t force them to do that. So, even if we have an open convention, if Hillary’s delegates are not given the information they need to support her, many of their votes will go to Obama.
Due to Hillary’s show of support for Obama, her campaign is not cooperating with efforts to organize her delegates. We have to do that ourselves. I’m sure that some of Hillary’s delegates are reading this blog. We need you to contact us. Please contact susanunpc here at No Quarter and she will forward the email addresses to me and we will communicate with you.
If the Democratic Party wants the votes of Hillary’s supporters in November, they will have to show respect for the 18 million who voted for Hillary in the primaries. This is the kind of unity I want to see in the Democratic Party, a unity where we respect each others views, even if we don’t always agree. Hillary’s delegates represent those 18 million voters and we are going to Denver to see that they get the respect they deserve.
Marc F:
2 questions:
If Hillary is not on the first round of roll calls, will a majority of hillary delegates walk out?
2, I’m curious if Hillary is not the nominee in august, after all the lies the fraud has told, will you be backing him or go to mccain?
nothing like getting right to the point…
Well Marc F.? We’re waiting…
ssmith:
1. If Hillary is not on the ballot, according to convention rules, we can still vote for her, presuming there is a roll call. If they try to nominate Obama without a roll call, there will be hell to pay!
2. One qualification of being a delegate to the national convention is to work for the success of the Democratic Party. But remember, the general election, unlike the convention, is run by secret ballot.
i’m following your lead on this one ssmith.
what say you?
My local newspaper(Massachusetts) had an article yesterday about Hillary delegates “skipping” the convention. Of course I wrote that they must fulfill their obligations, as she has not released her delegates. And shirking their solemn duty to vote for her on the first roll call would be disprespectful to her historic campaign and the majority of the will of Dems in MA who voted overwhelmingly for Hillary!
But now I am thinking- Is this a ploy? A strategic move by strong Hillary delegates to boycott if she is not on the ballot? Wouldn’t that deny him the “magic” number of delegates??????????
I think it is a ploy by the Obamabots to convince Hillary’s delegates to stay home. If a delegate doesn’t show up, they can be replaced by alternates. I also know that the delegates are not organized enough to plan such a thing so it may be just a case of an isolated delegate making the news.
Hillary delegates are feeling much like orphans now. We need some love so we can have the courage to support Hillary and keep the Democratic Party democratic.
How do we get a list? State- by- state to support them?
Even I can’t get a list. Each state democratic party should have a list of all the emails of all the delegates. Also, Hillary’s campaign has the information. Both groups are holding that information as a closely guarded secret. Everyone should find out who their local Hillary delegates are to the convention. Most states have names posted on their websites, though I wouldn’t expect to see contact information there.
It’s a ploy. They did this before by phone calling Hill delegates and telling them to stay home.
Now that would be cruel. Heh.
I trust that this does not represent an encouragement to vote for the Repug candidate?
All Parties have clear rules about that.
Yes, it’s clear that Democratic Convention delegates may not encourage anyone to vote for the Republican nominee. I would never suggest that. But the Democratic Party will need the votes of Hillary’s supporters to win in November and I don’t believe they can get that support without an open convention giving Hillary the respect she deserves.
LOL it appears my name got jacked by UKIE. That isn’t my post.
I was wondering about that.
It does appear hijacking is popular on this site which is something some Hillary supporters suggest that they want to do at the Convention.
“suggesting” is is an interpretation which occurs of the BOBOweenie mind. LOL You on the other hand are actually jacking my name you drunken Irish shit head Ha Ha Ha Ha.
Wow, I saw something the other day on NQ - and it wasn’t me?
Mark,
Lets get the ball rolling, what do we have to do?
READY ,WILLING AND CAN’T WAIT
Mary,
No one is talking about the pledged delegates, as if they are a done deal. Everyone counts us in the vote count, but they don’t realize that pledged delegates can vote for anyone. Hillary’s campaign is not taking care of her delegates, so if bloggers recognize the importance of Hillary’s pledged delegates and keep talking about it, some of her delegates who may be tempted to change their votes will stay with us.
We will do our job inside the convention and others will do their job outside the convention.
Maybe I’m mistaken but I thought I heard he replaced her delegates here in Florida with his own. Is that possible?
I believe the RBC meeting in May divided the Florida delegation into half for Hillary and half for Obama. The delegates are supposed to be chosen in district conventions based on the primary vote, but Florida is a special case and I don’t know how they are choosing the delegates. In any case, half the FL delegation must be pledged to Hillary.
I read about that too, but I think that the Florida Democratic Party shut him out by threating to sue him or something. But yes, he did try to do that, but didn’t succeed.
Oh good, I found the article and it said he was trying to replace her delegates with ones more loyal to him but the article didn’t say if he succeeded.
thanks marc.. I know you probably can’t say that you might vote for mccain in the fall b/c you guys have to sign some pledge that you will support the dem. party or you will lose your delegate status, so I understand
… BUT like you said the GE, its all private,
I have a suspicion many many of hillary delegate will vote mccain.. if hillary is not the nominee
Hillary’s representatives are in negotiation with Obama’s right now on how the convention will be conducted. It’s sad that it comes down to negotiations. But pressure has to be put on them to show what the consequences will be of pushing Hillary and her delegates aside in the convention. I think the PUMA’s are helping Hillary in this, but they should be focusing on the convention now rather than the GE.
Marc:
are you aware of the the denver grp??… right now they are raising $$ for a major media buy to make sure hillary is on the first round of roll calls, PLEASE EVERYONE DONATE WHAT YOU CAN:
http://thedenvergroup.blogspot.com/2008/07/action-alert-funds-for-rapid-media-buy.html
Yes, I’m in contact with them. They need everyone’s support because their work will support the efforts of Hillary’s delegates.
Someone needs to remind the pledged delegates not to disclose who they will vote for in the GE. JUst focus on the convention.
Agreed. I’ve reminded delegates not to openly support PUMA and JSND. Our job as delegates is inside the convention. We hope that those on the outside of the convention will support us.
If they are real Democrats they should not be supporting PUMA, openly or otherwise.
Anyone campaigning for the Repugs from within the Democrats (to be fair the other wat round as well) deserves expulsion.
The conservative fringe expelled liberals from the republican party after Reagan won. The progressive BOBoweenie fringe will do the same after BOBO wins. Fringe is fringe.
Don’t be fooled. Obama is not a progressive. He’s thrown the progressives under the bus too.
Fringe conservatives aren’t conservatives either. But we have to call them something and after all the decades that liberals have gotton the the shit end of the stick from the fringes I’m more then happy to call them what they want to be called. Obama supporters in Seattle self identify as progressives and will dispute that they are Liberal. OK, the fringe left wants to be called progressive. That leaves the political center in the country as liberal and that’s what it was all along.
