The Denver Group’s Letter To Prevaricator Howard Dean

Apparently, Barack Obama’s hood ornament, Howard Dean, had an interview in which he implied with a “scoff” that The Denver Group is a Republican operation, blaming them for everything short of World Hunger.
While Howard seems to have a self-destructive desire to cut the Democratic Party in half, thereby marginalizing it for another couple of decades, one wonders what exactly he will be doing for a living in January. All I can say is I am really glad he’s not practicing medicine on women any longer.
The Denver Group has written the following letter to Howard, so he understands that nothing he says will ever get past them. Click on the title link and show some support to Heidi and Marc, who have more brain power when they are sleeping than Howard “If I can’t be president then screw America” Dean has after eating plenty of Green Brain Food.
An Open Letter To Howard Dean from The Denver Group
Dear Dr. Dean,
Through the wonders of the internet The Denver Group has learned that you have reportedly discussed us in an interview today. Since the purpose of our ads has been to make our points partly to you as well as the rest of the DNC and Democrats as a whole, normally we’d be pleased to know they are getting through to you. But based on the interviewer’s characterization of your comments, we don’t think you actually know much about The Denver Group, its founders, and its goals. The interviewer writes:When asked about the ads criticizing him and Speaker Pelosi for Clinton supposedly not being on the ballot at the convention, he [Howard Dean] scoffed. Clinton will be on the ballot at the convention, and will be speaking there. Dean indicated that the rules were so clear on this matter, that the groups running these ads and spreading these rumors must be associated with the other internet rumors going around, such as Obama being a Muslim. He also speculated that McCain supporters might be behind these rumors.
No need for you to speculate, Dr. Dean. We are happy to tell you exactly who we are, what we expect of you and the DNC, and why your comment that Senator Clinton’s name will be on the ballot is not enough. Senator Clinton’s name must be put in nomination, not just “on the ballot” and the roll call vote to be a real honest and open opportunity for superdelegates to do their job under DNC rules and select the nominee at the Convention. Just saying that Senator Clinton’s name will be on the ballot is not going to fool anyone. Being on the ballot counts for nothing if a candidate’s name is not placed in nomination. More than 18 million Democratic voters would be pleased to hear you say publicly that there will be an open convention with Senator Clinton’s name placed in nominaton and an open roll call vote.
Since the interviewer in question does not quote you directly and certainly has never asked us about our views on any of the matters you supposedly raised in relation to our group, we are not speculating as to what you actually said or what you actually believe or know about The Denver Group and its founders, Heidi Li Feldman and Marc Rubin. If you want to actually know and so that you have your facts right feel free to contact us.

We are a group of losers who demand that the losing inadequate white woman wins as we will never vote for a black man.
The Super Delegates selected the candidate following archaic processes such as votes and rules. I know our candidate set the rules but it is a womans right to change her mind and anyway we say it again we will not vote for someone who is (a) black and (b) from Chicago.
Super Delegates dared to go with the candidate with the majority of elected delegates. We consider that unfair so unless the Super Delegates pick our candidate we will vote Republican.

The point of this article is to show that Dean is trying to hoodwink us with the “on the ballot” point. Heidi’s holding his feet to the fire saying that being on the ballot is just symbolic, to placate the 18 million. We want Hillary’s name put up for nomination, not just on the ballot, so delegates can have a full vote.

What does “on the ballot” even MEAN? I wasn’t aware that there was any “ballot” used at a nominating convention.
Names are put into nomination, then the roll call is held, and each state announces it’s vote. Out loud, in front of everyone. Where’s the ballot? Is Dean referring to each state’s caucus of it’s own vote? We all know that the Superdelegates hold the key to the nomination, so what does that mean?
Several years ago, whenever Dean took over the DNC, he was running against Martin Frost, a long term congressman from north Texas, that had lost a close and brutal battle in 2004. Frost lost not because he wasn’t a good representative for his district, but because he was up against the Republicans scorched earth policy. I voted for Frost and lamented the fact that he lost. When I heard that he was running for the DNC chair, I was pleased and felt that given his background and centrist approach, that maybe the party would get back on track. I remember when it was announce that Dean had beaten Frost, feeling a bit uneasy at the news and thinking, ‘I don’t think that’s good’. Little did I know how right I was.

Back in 2006, James Carville started a campaign to oust Dean from his position, but Don Fowler of SC put up a fight to keep Dean. Then, after it looked as if Obama could/should be in legal trouble with the DNC because he campaigned in Florida (against the DNC rules), it was Don Fowler’s wife (who just happened to be State Chair for the DNC in SC), who made the decision that Obama was within the DNC’s legal rights because his television ads were bought as a package and Florida’s couldn’t be split from those. ( A hokey excuse, imo).
I think the more Moderate, long-time, loyal Dems like Carville and the Clintons knew that Dean and his cronies were trouble, two years ago even. But I don’t think even they saw just how devious the group had been, and by the time they realized it — it was too late to stop the train.
What a sad shame. I’ve been a Dem my whole life. . . .but no more. I’ll proudly vote for McCain this year, unless the Moderate Dems can regain control of the Party.

There is a pitfall that could be set.
Howard may require that Hillary come out and publicly ask to be put back in the nomination, otherwise they just won’t.
This puts Hillary in a predicament because it would all but force her to withdraw her previous support for Obama over the last couple of months.
There is a saying that keepss running through my head. Granted, it is not spoken by the truest or hoenst of Shakepearean characters, but “those injuries they themselves procure must be their schoolmasters.”
I’m sure Hillary learned and will be better for it. Unfortunately, Dean and Friends won’t and will simply lash out childishly once Obama looses in November.
I never really cared for Bill and Hillary isn’t exactly my first choice either, but between Obama, McCain and her, the choice is so clear. Only Nader could probably do a better job but his chances are as good as myself winning gold in women’s gymnastics next month (credit to Lewis Black for the joke). I honestly see Obama as no better than McCain, and in ways actually worse, when it comes to corporate and economic issues. I think recently even Naomi Klein when after Obama’s economic advisors on Democracy Now!
There is nothing Howard Dean fears more than this. He will do whatever he can to get her to decline being placed in nomination at the convention. They know there is a serious chance that the Delegates might vote their consciences if given half a chance.
