Petty, Small and Vindictive … Nobama for The New Yorker … No Room on Obama’s Virgin Air One … Nein Wilkommen!
By shutting out the New Yorker correspondent, is Obama engaging in a nasty little act of getting even, demonstrating contempt for a free press, or is it satire? Wilkommen to the whirlwind Obama tour! See the senator spend 24 hours in countries he’s never before visited. But “nein” to The New Yorker.
The Politico reports today: “The campaign received 200 requests for press seats on the plane. Among those for whom there was no room was Ryan Lizza, Washington correspondent of The New Yorker. The campaign, which was furious about the magazine’s satirical cover this week, cited space constraints.”
We’re just guessing that it wasn’t just the cover that enraged the thin-skinned Obama, but also the first long, factual account ever to appear in the media on Obama’s ruthless ambition, lack of principle, association with unsavory types in Chicago politics, and his empty record, devoid of any leadership on any issue. Ryan Lizza, former Obamaton party-liner, is now receiving his punishment.
Next stop for the untraveled Obama: the Siegesaulle, the Victory Column built as a tribute to Prussian military might and discipline after the Franco-Prussian War of 1871. In 1939, just before Hitler launched World War II, the Nazis added a gold layer to the monument and moved it to a long boulevard leading to the Brandenburg Gate. Initially, Obama demanded to speak before the Brandenburg Gate, an honor only extended to heads of state. The presumptive nominee crossed Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Checkpoint Charlie, infuriating her with his presumption. With this incident the German chancellor got a little taste of how foreign policy would be conducted by an arrogant and inexperienced Obama.
After his absurd stumble, Obama picked another site for his photo-op in Berlin–the Siegesaulle. Clueless does not begin to describe Obama speaking at the monument to Prussian militarism. Not since Ronald Reagan blithered into the Bitburg cemetary, where he laid a wreath on the graves of SS soldiers, has an American figure so misunderstood and mangled German history.
The Berliners now, of course, use the Victory Column as a rallying point for the annual gay Love Parade. This is their way of satirizing their tragic heritage.
Obama’s message? He seems to have borrowed Sam Cooke’s lyrics: “Don’t know much about geography, don’t know much about history, I just know I love you.” Yeah, love you back, baby!

I totally agree. I’ve been silently watching this issue since it started and I never once saw him produce one shred of information that he hadn’t already produced many months ago. If this really happened, I am very sorry and it’s awful, but I do NOT see one shred of information that makes me believe that it happened. When I do I will apologize profusely–as nobody dislikes Obama any more than I do. Till then, the guy has stretched his 15 minutes way beyond the tolerance of any patient person.

What was Jesse Jackson? He never got this kind of coverage. He ran twice.
In 1984 he got 8% of the delegates and 21% of the vote. He won won five primaries and caucuses.
In 1988 he was considered the frontrunner for the Democrat ticket. He more than doubled his previous results. He surpassed all the other candidates with pledged delegates. The Unions backed him. Then just as with Obama. Dukakis/Hillary started winning states. He couldn’t bring over/get the white middle class votes. It was significantly higher than in 1984, but he couldn’t do it. Same problem Obama is having now.
Then there was his half brother and his criminal activities that started coming out. We won’t talk about Obama and Roy(now Abongo) that most Americans know nothing about, that is a radical Muslim. Or his cousin Raila that ran his campaign on the same heading as Obama. The Candidate of Change. That now stands accused of genocide in Africa. That most Americans know nothing about, and that Obama campaigned for him in Kenya. He has never addressed that after his cousin lost over 6,000 Christian men, women and children were burned alive in churches. As well as the slaughter of an additional 450,000 people.
And Jesse carried Michigan. He didn’t even have to block their revote or take delegates from someone else to do it.

Weird electoral problems relating to Diebold will be next, that is, after the Democratic Party makes double double sure that Hillary’s name won’t be put in nomination at the Convention.

I saw Ryan Lizza on a couple of talk shows and he is obviously a huge Obama supporter. His article did show Obama in an unflattering light at times but was not really that tough on him. He skirted a lot of issues such as his nefarious association with Rekzo and others.
I guess Obama can’t stand even the slightest bit of criticism. Just what we need in the White House — another secretive, thin-skinned jerk!
What people are missing is that Lizza clearly thinks he wrote a complimentary article. My sense of Obama before I read the article was that he was a narcissistic fast-track artist with no interest in substantive achievement; it’s all about successful networking and self-aggrandizement with him. When I finished the article, I realized that Lizza hadn’t challenged that view in any way. I was initially confused, because the tone certainly wasn’t that of an anti-Obama polemic. And then it hit me: Lizza sees being a narcissistic climber with a genius for networking as a good thing. Accomplishments are beside the point, and, anyway, hard work is for suckers. Another epiphany hit: this is how everyone in the New York and Washington media establishment feels. There’s nothing better than pulling a seven-figure salary to sit on your ass and ignorantly pontificate on the news. These media people are clueless even when they tell the unvarnished truth.

This whole sorry episode reminds me of the superstar CEOs in the 1990s. The press worshipped these people with more money than most small nations, lavish, profligate lifestyles, and cold-hearted Gordon Gecko hardball business tactics.
