PUMA Politics For Dummies
By Diamond Tiger on July 20, 2008 at 11:30 AM in Just Say No Deal, JustSayNoDeal.Com, PUMA
Over the course of the last six weeks, more and more people are hearing about P.U.M.A and the Just Say No Deal Coalition and looking for information about this viral movement. Since the Main Stream Media (with the exception of FOX) isn’t about to give you the facts about PUMAs, I humbly thought it might be helpful to post my own observations about what I have seen and heard from PUMAs since the group started. For all of you out in the ether who are just hearing about PUMA and JSND and wondering about the many and diverse voices saying Nobama, Not Now, Not Ever; this might help you understand the coalition better. I have linked up Just Say No Deal’s YouTube channel to help get you up to speed.
There are some myths that need to be debunked also. Here is a quote from an American talking about other Americans (and I respect free speech):
MSNBC’s First Read’s story about Hillary as a VP choice.
Hillary’s supporters are not needed by Obama. He’ll have enough votes without them. Those fat old poor white women can go pound salt.
Ames Johnston, Battle Creek MI (Sent Saturday, July 12, 2008 1:51 PM)
The #1 biggest myth about PUMAs:
1. All Pumas are old, menopausal, bitter white women. Wrong! According to the Just Say No Deal founders, a significant percentage; as much as 40%, are men. Here is a PUMA man who is a Native American, college educated, veteran who is not bitter about Hillary being “railroaded”; rather, he is angry, to say the least, that Obama has continued to vote against Native American interests, has voted against the American people and with the Telecoms in regards to FISA, cannot seem to find a single position and stick with it, and that he has left his chair empty while campaigning. This PUMA man believes that when any single person is diminished in any way, then every person is diminished.
"I Dare You To Call Me A Fat Old White Woman To My Face"; Lee M., Nez Perce Nation |
And here is an excerpt from No We Won’t Blogtalk Radio where Barbara, a black lady from Mississippi called in to tell the listeners that she marched with Martin Luther King and that Barack Obama is a “race-baiting phony.”
2. PUMAs are “cloaked republicans”.
According to the Anti-Puma sites that sprung up about the same time as H.O.U.N.D., we are all “cloaked republicans” working to ensure a 3rd Bush Term. Here is quote from one such site. Please note that PUMAs are all racists.
Love the site. PUMA is a fraud - a bunch of republican racists who were voting for McCain anyway.
No democrat woman would vote to assure the repeal of Roe v Wade under McCain. They aren’t democrats - never were.
by Dan July 8, 2008 at 8:50 pm
Once again, wrong. PUMAs come from all walks of life, are white, black, native american, asian, latino, gay, straight, male, female, and are from all political parties; Democrats, Republicans, Indies. We do not have a problem with the color of Obama’s skin, we have a problem with everything else about Barack Obama; his lack of experience, his voting or “not-voting” record, his un-american associates, his using the race card against a Former President and the American people, and how he failed his Chicago constituents are among a long list of deal breakers.
We all have the common goal of keeping Barack Obama and whatever agenda he wants to fly with today out of the White House, and is in part due to the decision of the Rules and Bylaws Committee meeting on May 31st, 2008. If the Democratic Party had followed it’s own “rules”, American voters in Michigan and Florida would not have been disenfranchised and ruled 1/2 people AND Hillary Clinton would have had the delegate lead to take the nomination. This is why you will hear PUMAs say that Barack Obama was selected, not elected. Why did states that were slated to be won by Barack Obama receive sanctions so that their elections would count and states that Senator Clinton was slated to win receive a punishment? Why does the DNC or fellow democrats think that the almost 2.3 million people who voted in those two states have anything to do with a contract that Senator Clinton signed saying that the votes wouldn’t count? These are American voters whose votes count because of the very charter of the party they are members of.
Fellow Democrats with selective reasoning want us to stop whining, sit down, shut up, fall in line, yada, yada, yada. Their argument is that Michigan and Florida don’t count. Obama won and Clinton lost; also not true. Neither candidate reached the required number of delegates to secure the nomination. I call it selective reasoning because the Democratic Party Charter has as one of it’s provisions the concept of “Fair Reflection”. What happened on May 31st, 2008 at the RBC meeting was the death of democracy. 600,000 Michigan voters were not fairly reflected. Barack Obama was awarded uncommitted delegates when he himself had voluntarily taken his name off the ballot. He was also awarded 4 of Senator Clinton’s delegates. How can anyone say that the decision they came up with doesn’t violate the charter of the party? Does this fairly reflect the Michigan voters that supported her? Does the 1/2 delegation from Florida fairly reflect all the people that voted there?
From the Charter:
Article Two, Section 4, (b) and (g):
Section 4. The National Convention shall be composed of delegates equally divided between men and women. The delegates shall be chosen through processes which:
(b) assure that delegations fairly reflect the division of preferences expressed by those who participate in the Presidential nominating process,
Democratic National Committee in the Call to the Convention,
(g) prohibit unpledged and uncommitted delegates, except delegates or alternates expressing an uncommitted preference shall be permitted to be elected at the district level, in which event, if such preference meets the applicable threshold and qualifies for at-large or similar delegates or alternates, such at-large or similar delegates or alternates shall be allocated to that uncommitted preference as if it were a presidential candidate,
What Harold Ickes had to say about the hijacking of delegates is completely true and inarguable.
Another reason PUMAs are so up in arms is a general provision in the very same charter. The decision to 1/2 Florida delegates and award Michigan delegates to Barack Obama was made behind closed doors with a secret ballot. Link here to CSpan’s video vault.
Article 9, General Provisions:
Section 12. All meetings of the Democratic National Committee, the Executive Committee, and all other official Party committees, commissions and bodies shall be open to the public, and votes shall not be taken by secret ballot.
Currently, there is talk about not putting Senator Clinton’s name into nomination at the Convention, though this is not unprecedented, it would be an insult to Senator Clinton, her staff and her 18 million supporters when the delegate difference between the two candidates is so microscopically thin, neither candidate reached the required delegate count for the nomination, the controversy surrounding the primaries and the RBC decision was so immense, and the true political nature of Barack Obama now coming to light. According to a recent Rasmussen poll, Senator Clinton is leading Senator McCain by 8 percentage points. Senator Clinton is the stronger democratic candidate.
Take a look at the Blogroll on the right. Pick a site and you will find an American voter, almost always a democrat, and the reasons why they won’t vote for, and in most cases, will work against Barack Obama’s nomination and election. Start with Just Say No Deal, No Quarter, The Confluence, ClintonDems, Hire Heels….you will find intelligent, thoughtful insight into why PUMAs Just Say No Deal and why we believe that Barack Obama is not the best choice for President.
If you are a PUMA, please leave a comment for others to read about why you are a PUMA. Mahalo, Diamond

Obama Embarrass The US Again
to a Friend | printer-friendly
After receiving a hailstorm of criticism for considering Brandenburg Gate for a public speech, as well as official German dissuasion, Barack Obama moved the venue to the Siegessäule monument. Obama will speak about “historic” US-German relations, but once again, Obama’s own grasp of history has been proven deficient. Not only does the site contain a monument to Prussian victories over other American allies in Europe, its placement was decided by Adolf Hitler — in order to impress crowds in his idealized version of Berlin called Germania:
Still, even as the issue of his speech’s location has now been settled, a number of politicians in Berlin are still dissatisfied with the site. The Siegessäule — or Victory Column — was erected in memory of Prussia’s victories over Denmark (1864), Austria (1866) and France (1870/71). The column originally stood in front of the Reichstag, Germany’s parliament building, but was moved by Adolf Hitler to its current location in 1939 to make way for his planned transformation of Berlin into the Nazi capital “Germania.”
“The Siegessäule in Berlin was moved to where it is now by Adolf Hitler. He saw it as a symbol of German superiority and of the victorious wars against Denmark, Austria and France,” the deputy leader of the Free Democrats, Rainer Brüderle, told Bild am Sonntag. He raised the question as to “whether Barack Obama was advised correctly in his choice of the Siegessäule as the site to hold a speech on his vision for a more cooperative world.”
Andreas Schockenhoff of Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian Democrats said, “the Siegessäule in Berlin is dedicated to a victory over neighbors who are today our European friends and allies. It is a problematic symbol.”

god help us….
Ickes was good…
“fat, old, poor white women”?? nice…..I’ve got news for them, they are severely out of touch w reality
I am a fat, old, poor white woman but guess what. My vote counts just the same as Ames Johnston’s vote. For this election my normally Democratic vote will go to John McCain. Ames, you can say anything you want about us. You just make us more determined to send your Dear Leader back home to ChiTown in November.
Obama wants so badly to use Germany and the German people in his quest for the Presidency. Leni Reifensthaler couldn’t have staged this better in her Documentary Triumph Of The Will. Obama has a way of copying people. JFK, RFK, MLK, Reagan, even Moses. Does he want to copy Hitler now?
Since there are so many similarities between Adolph Hitler and Barack Obama, I think Obama picked the perfect place to give a speech. I hope they have teleprompters there!!! What a pompous putz!!!

Check out the videos above, of the fixed Primary.
Doesnt’ sound like anyone kept there word.
Not that I would judge by a photo, but he is obviously not a fat old white woman, but he does fit the picture of those who cling to their guns and religion. Was he ever a Democrat?
As for PUMA not being an RNC front?
Larry Johnson - a self declared Republican, ex CIA, an organization not unused to stirring up trouble to get “the right side” victory.
Darragh Murphy. McWar supporter from the start.
However many Clinton4McCain sites.
No not Republican at all. (Actually neither McCain or Hillary wants any association with you lot at all).
Oh, let me guess what you are reading “Trolls for Dummies”
Peace be with little troll
Keep praying TeaMug! You’re a better person…er Mug than I am
I’ll pray for you
Thanks wodiej, I need all the help I can get. I’m afraid my patience for these trolls has reached the limit. The stakes are too high for their games.
I was directing that to the troll but I can pray for you too! There is no reasoning w people like that so praying is really all that can be done with them.
imustprotest — I feel as you do. But the trolls aren’t the problem. They are just paid teenage idiots. The problem is Obama and his real agenda. I am ashamed to have been a lifelong Democrat and I will proudly vote McCain in 08. When you see polls where it shows Michelle Obama is more popular than Cindy McCain you know the media is in the tank for BO. However, there is PUMA and people like us– and let us not forget Larry and Susan. We are going to be ok.
Hey troll, don’t go around calling yourself a Democrat because you’re supporting someone who does not care about Democratic values…
Don’t flatter yourself and your Supreme Master. He has more problems than you’re willing to admit. Isn’t that why you’re here anyway? If all of us were just Republicans, you should have nothing to worry about.
Aha! A False Comity all-the-timer. One of the Elect (:: at last! :::).
HOPE®: the total abdication of disbelief.
Sounds pretty racist to me.
Wow your comment is pretty damn bigoted friend.
I am gonna go with you wither seeing, hats or long hair as redneck based on your comment hard to tell..
let’s go with long hair since hats is just sooo far ranging…
long hair means redneck to you?
did you not see the reference to the Native American tribe in the caption?
have you never been to a SHakespeare play?
or a Judas Priest concert?
or to San Francisco or Berkley or any one of the zillion other places where long hair on men is frequent and IMO charming?
what a piece of work you trollz are, total projection every time.
How about the Orange Satan and its spawn? HuffnPuff, Ameriblech, NoPointsMemo. Did they not begin this incarnation as Republicans? I know some Republicans. They do not have scales and horns (well, ok, maybe cloven hooves.) So are you saying that once you pull a Republican lever, it leaves a mark upon the soul so you can escape Old Scratch, even down in Georgia with Charlie Daniels?
Oh. Yeah. Old, white, male, veteran. PUMA.
Seems like you’re still a Republican.
Don’t be stupid. All politicians want votes, and Clinton would love a one-term McCain presidency where she could win in 2012 as the I-told-you-so candidate. Obama would run this country in the ground and start a war just before his second term so he could be in for his 8 - 10 years.
I am a supporter of PUMA and will not vote for Obama. I was not only a lifelong Democrat , I was a Democratic Precinct chair. I am an educated, liberal woman. I first started investigating Obama when he was campaigning in Texas and especially after our caucus. The DNC hijack of the Democratic party (and democracy)has permanently and dramatically changed my viewpoint. I have not committed my vote yet to any other candidate. My support is still with Sen. Clinton , however at this point my preference is that she is not the V.P. candidate for all the reasons stated by other PUMA’s.
Oh, goodie, now Obama can throw the Germans under the bus too, along with Denmark, Austria, and France. And don’t forget Iraqi PM Malaki, who states that Obama is misrepresenting Malaki’s statement ma regarding potential U.S. troop withdrawals. Join the magical, mystery Obamatour.
Is the ride getting a wee bit bumpy yet for Katie and her fellow news anchors as they travel with the chosen one? Will they bother to ask him any questions about this relevant, breaking news: Malaki’s comments and Iran’s flat-out refusal to cooperate with the West and stop enriching uranium?
Or will they just cover his photo-ops and speechifying? Take a guess.
Why I am a PUMA?
The disenfranchisement of democratic party voters and electoral fraud by the DNC to install a narcissistic adolescent with no qualifications or experience, and a history of lying and political expediency as the presumptive nominee. But, there’s more. This “presumptive” nominee has a disturbing penchant for top-down, centralized, dictates delivered from inside his new Chicago Kingdom. His policies change from audience to audience, rally to rally, news cycle to news cycle. He’s alienated Latinos, Seniors, Women and the Working Class. His arrogance is becoming legend. He is co-opting progressive values and morphing them into right-wing positions, while his blogger teams bully democrats to support him.
Barack Obama cannot be trusted.
http://www.miamiherald.com/news/politics/campaign-2008/story/610762.html
In a confidential July 4 memo sent to 25 prominent South Florida Hispanics, former Miami Mayor Maurice Ferre — well respected in nationwide Democratic circles — called for creation of a ”South Florida Hispanic policy advisory group” to counterbalance what he perceives as excessive micro-management of state campaigns by Obama’s Chicago headquarters.
[...]
”My experience with how the Obama campaign handled the delegate vote on June 1 in Puerto Rico was disastrous,” Ferre wrote. “The principal decision makers, operatives and advertisements were all made in or through Chicago. The result is that [Sen. Hillary] Clinton got almost 70 percent of the vote in Puerto Rico.”
[...]
Don’t be surprised if, in coming weeks, you see a shift to the center in the Obama campaign’s Latin American rhetoric, including a less strident opposition to the Mexico and Colombia free trade agreements, and a more persistent criticism of Cuba and Venezuela’s authoritarian regimes. Suddenly, Florida is at the center of the Obama campaign’s strategy to win the White House, and will play a key role in it.
NoBigotry,
Are you really against bigotry? If you support Obama, then you must be a bigot. Obama is a bigot; he is a racist and a sexist.
Why didn’t he denounce Jesse Jackson, Jr.’s statement to the Washington Post regarding Hillary? (Junior is Obama’s National Campaign Co-Chair)
“The natural reminder here is O.J. [Simpson] — how does an African American candidate attack a white woman?”
Until cleaning up your act, you have no room to talk about others.
Why not read that quote in the context of the article it was taken from.
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha good one, BOBO’s original battle plan included opposition to telecom immunity. If we only knew then what we know now.
NoBigotry,
Your response makes no sense, just like your candidate. The quote has no reference to the article and never should have been made.
To compare a political race to the O.J. Simpson case and attacking a white woman?!
It was a racist and sexist comment. The fact that you can defend it proves you are as racist and sexist as Obama and have not moral grounds to condemn anyone else.
Ha, I don’t think the Obama campaign will appreciate you bringing up that idiotic Jesse Jr. statement.
I,however, think you should do it often.
The OJ Simpson case wasn’t about race but they played the race card. It was about the abuse of women. Nicole Brown was a battered wife there were tons of police records to prove that. OJ’s lawyers turned it into a race issue. To use the brutal and horrific murder of a woman and another innocent bystander Ron Goldman as a reference to political strategy is obnoxious to say the least. But, what does Uppity say? She was just a ho so whatever.
Sounds just as bad in context. What’s your point?
Pink Panthers — Obama did not denounce Louis Farrahkan who is a rabid anti-semite or Bill Ayers who bombed this country as a member of The Weather Underground, nor has ever explained in his book Dreams Of My Father why when Wright spoke of Black Liberation did Obama have tears of agreement in his eyes. Obama stirs up the caldron of racism while he pretends to be a uniter. It would be so easy right now to make White people scapegoats just as Hitler made Jews the scapegoats for the economy of the 30’s. If weakening this nation from within is Obama’s agenda and that of The Democratic Party then I am no longer a Democrat and they can take that to the bank.
Obama supporters are as bigoted as the right wing of the Republican Party of decades ago. And, they are denying it (or should we say justifying it) just as the right wing of the Republican Party did so many years ago.
Obama and his supporters do not have a pass to be bigots. Racism is racism; sexism is sexism; ageism is ageism; hatred is hatred-regardless of whether is comes from Obama supporters or from the any other political group.
Obama and his supporters do not get a pass. We cannot give them a pass to allow their hate and bigotry to continue.
Except Jews were a minority in Germany. Who knows which group would be scapegoated by an authoritarian and fascistic regime? Jews again, Asians again, gays or “pedophiles” or “terrorists.”
Hope..
Thanks for Michael Buble!
And yes my wife does stick a finger in her ear when she hears me sing.
Hillary supporters, Hopefloats?
someone should setup http://www.notafatoldwhitewoman.com or some variant and make it a site where we can post our pictures (I’m a 26 year old man, and while I’m white, I’m rather svelt. I was a registered Democrat until recently).
Isn’t Just Say No Deal asking for PUMA photos to make some kind of a commerical or ad?
yes! rodhamdem you svelte charmer you :0>
check it out on the justsaynodeal site
BOOYAH and W00T!
HILLARY IS POTUS
Wow. I can’t believe all the hate that’s festering on this site. I wasn’t even a fan of Obama during the primaries, but the more garbage that’s thrown here, the more I’m ready to support him. How can you all claim to be Hillary supporters while doing what she’s asking us NOT to do?
I can’t believe what this place has turned into.
Oh please, stop with your self-righteous rant…Just because we support Hillary, we should do everything she asks us to do? I thought this is America.
It’s Obama who should be convincing Hillary supporters that he has the experience, judgment, and integrity to be president. If you’ve been following current events you’d know that Obama does’t even respect Democratic values, and he has done absolutely nothing to show people that he is trustworthy. The list of flip-flops grows longer each day.
By the way, it’s stupid to vote for someone just because they are from the right party.
The Global Village Courthouse Square.
Your comment is the same nonsense (and almost the exact wording) used during the primary (e.g., “I wasn’t even a fan of Obama until you all said bad things about him.”)
And now the new rally call, “Hillary said you should support him.”
You are a troll for Obama.
AND, you are placing a political party above your country.
That is how dictators take control countries.
Protesters founded this country.
British loyalist could not believe minutemen could feel so un-loyal to the crown.
Your Tea is going to be tossed in the harbor.

You might like to read, The Average American by Kevin O’Keefe.
Quote: Average Americans are “independent thinkers. We have this image that the average American is lacking in smarts.”
Independent thinkers…WE don’t do what some one says just because they said it. Unlike little fearful Obots that refuse to be american independent thinkers, we ARE America. Deal with it!
PUMA
As a “loyal Democrat” I am shocked, shocked that people are exercising their right to vote.
Loyal Democrat, if you would like to see what real, putrid, all consuming hatred is, go to Kos. Most of us here won’t vote Obama because we are/were loyal Democrats. His flipping on FISA should be enough for any “LOYAL” Democrat. Go in PEACE, but just please GO.
When Obama and his thugs become democrats Ill vote for them. Being a democrat does not mean mouthing off democratic ideas and then voting republican and adopting republican strategies.
As far as I’m concerned Obama has not yet shown me he is a democrat-I really have no idea what the man is, or how his death threat leveling supporters stay out of jail.
http://hillaryloyalistnowformccain.com/absoluteproofofafixedprimaryelection.aspx
Primary Fixed, check write up and video about SD’S
I’m a 44-year old white male who, since reaching the age of eligibility, has voted for: Mondale, Dukakis, Clinton, Clinton, Gore and Kerry. I vote in every election and I have voted for exactly ONE Republican in my entire life, for Governor of Vermont in 1986. I live in a very liberal suburb of Washington DC (Obama signs everywhere, up since the primary and apparently staying up till November.)
I will NOT vote for Obama. I WILL vote for McCain.
Wow, I can’t believe how many Obama supporters simply don’t get it. “How can you claim to be Hillary supporters while doing what she’s asking us NOT to do?” Really, that just says it all about the Obamabots: “your leader is telling you what to do? Why aren’t you just DOING IT?’
Trying to explain to people like you, “Loyal Democrat,” how we can use our own brains and make our own decisions in clearly just a waste of time.
There’s the door.
John: don’t waste your time. That guy (and the other 799) are paid Obama trolls and they post nearly the same message at every site.
Latino’s against Obama!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xa1-pJMeBkc
I still don’t get this. In my state, the county rents the polling places. They hire the election judges. They own the voting equipment, and they tabulate the vote. That’s all on my local tax dollar. The state officially certifies the ballots, I presume by using more of my tax money.
How can a political party come in and overturn results from a process, which, I perceive, as higher than any party authority?
How can any political party come in and change, hijack, or over rule the vote of the people in an election which has been paid for not by the political party but by the people?
That’s the rub. The DNC isn’t picking up the tab for these caucuses and primaries are. The people are. Then they’re votes “don’t count” and strangers can vote in their caucuses. Seems the kids that were bused from Chicago should have voted in their own caucuses. It’s cheating, isn’t it and anti-democratic when they yell at and intimidate voters, isn’t it. The DNC wonders why its coffers are drying up.
As for me, I maybe a white woman; but I am not old poor or stupid. Comment on the size of my a$$ and I will put a boot up yours!
I can understand how you’d be so confused
I don’t envy you
I’m a little bit of everything
All rolled into one
I’m a bitch, I’m a lover
I’m a child, I’m a mother
I’m a sinner, I’m a saint
I do not feel ashamed
I’m your hell, I’m your dream
I’m nothing in between
You know you wouldn’t want it any other way
So take me as I am
This may mean
You’ll have to be a stronger man
Tuppence411, thanks for the lyrics. I am first and foremost a woman. Everything else I am flows from that idenity. I am a PUMA because I am an optimist. I don’t believe in quitting and that’s why I believe in Hillary. There is a void in this country that PUMA can fill now and long after the election is history. We must take back our Party for the sake of a viable two party system. If not, we will lose our Democracy. PUMA and jsnd are providing a means to fight. When did Democrats become so timid and fearful? I am not ready for Pelosi, Reid and the rest who have conceded to Bush and gone back on the promises of 2006. Or Brazil and Dean who are squandering the opportunity to find solutions in their ego driven coup. I am middle aged, white, female, advanced education, just trying to keep up with the bills, happy with my husband and my children and grandchildren, still hoping it is not too late for America to be all that it can be and PUMA.
I’m an asian, first generation american, 30 yrs old. I have voted dems since I got my citizenship, NOT THIS TIME!!!
I’m voting mccain and repub straight down ticket (unless there are some good dems that I trust like Mark warner, or stephanie tubbs jones).
I live in northern VA, I cannot tell you how many people are getting turned off that fraud, some who voted for him in the primaries. Now, they are backing mccain!
Obama opened 20 offices in VA, and McCain’s co-chair Chris Saxman called them Potemkin Villages. It’s good to hear that confirmed.
I wrote a piece called “An Idiot’s Guide to Barack Obama.” Good for a laugh:
http://www.smirkingchimp.com/thread/15078
58-year-old business MAN here and a PUMA. Why? Equally because of (1) the Democratic Party’s sexist and undemocratic treatment of Senator Clinton and (2) the corruption of Barack Obama — a man who colluded with a convicted criminal to purchase side-by-side properties on the same day.
All that said, though, I will NOT be voting for John McCain — who, IMHO, is a decrepit (and equally corrupt as Obama) example of the Republicanism I’ve opposed my entire life. Instead, I will withhold all contributions to Obama and the national Democrats, sending them instead to sites such as this and to down-ticket Dems, and when voting in November, will skip the top line on the ballot and cast my vote for worthy Democratic candidates for Senate, Congress, state, and local offices.
And what will I do if all this leads to a McCain victory? First, I’ll toast the defeat of a corrupt Obama (and his rabid partisans) and then I’ll go about enduring another 4 years of Republican control of the Executive, knowing it will be thwarted by a clear Democratic majorities in Congress — all while waiting for the Party to come back to its senses and conduct a fair primary absent the thug controlled process of 2008.
Why do the Obamanites come here looking for UNITY
DUH…PUMA (party unity my Ass) NOOBAMA NEVER.
PUMA is the revolution of the people, growing by the millions daily. We wont back down, we wont fall in line so move on and “Get Over It”
OVAH
Diamond Tiger…very impressive. Thank you. I sincerely appreciate it. (I actually teared up some when I heard Barbara live on the radio.) Also, thank you to Lee M., Nez Perce Nation, I learned something. Sadly, it does not surprise me. Glad to see a proud Native American PUMA. I’ll come back to post why I am a PUMA. Thank you again, Diamond Tiger.
Party Unity My ASS!
NO DEAL
Good, thorough original post; Thanks.
I was not originally a supporter of Clinton. I voted for Edwards. When I heard Barack Obama say during the NH primary that “a light was going to shine down and that you would go out and vote for Obama” I thought that indicated that Obama had a huge problem with narcisscism. Nothing since then has made me change my mind. Obama is a “flip-flopper”, he voted for telecom immunity among other things. Obama has nasty friends and associates, he disrespects women (No excuse for calling a professional newswoman “sweetie”.). How Florida and Michigan were handled was a disgrace to democracy. Obama is a corrupt Chicago politician. I am appallled that the base of operations of the DNC has been moved to Chicago. I think Obama lacks the experience to be President. The behavior of a number of Obama supporters is terrible. (I was almost run off the road and cursed at by one of them). You couldn’t pay me to vote for Obama, and I have been a Democrat since the 70’s. I’m not poor, except insofar as the entire middle class is struggling right now. I have a Master’s Degree. I’m not old unless in Obamaland “old” is over 45, and it insensitive ignoramuses like the one quoted in the initial article who think people who are women, poor, heavy and “old” who don’t vote for Obama are worthless human beings. Yes, Obama and some of his followers-they certainly bring “hope and change” don’t they? LOLOL.
I am a PUMA and proud of it.
Another PUMA and proud of it. None of us here fit the PUMA criteria set forth in the article or in the accusations by Obots.
Now. Here’s a little game: How many Obot propagandists posting here are over 45? Don’t live in their parents basement? Think that Cheetos are a food group? Consider the yearly highlight is the Gamer’s Convention as THEE pinnacle of fly? Paid income taxes in the middle to highest brackets? Have actually served in the armed forces? Have held jobs with responsibility and salary above minimum wage?
Come on. We want to hear from you. But we don’t know if we will believe you since you Obots have a propensity to lie. Let us know and we’ll change our perceptions of you.
However, it will not change our votes. We will not accept or vote for Obama… EVER!
PUMA!!!
I’m a PUMA because of the hijacking of the Democratic Party by the Rules and Bylaws committee. I’m a PUMA because of the juvenile and insulting tactics of Barack Obama, in particular the middle finger salute, the brushing off of his shoulders and shoes, the Annie Oakley comments, the playing of 99 Reasons but the Bitch ain’t one of them at the Iowa rally, his incessant demands to see Hillary’s tax records in an attempt to find a smoking gun while simultaneously withholding his own records and the sudden disappearance of his state senate records, his total of 146 days in the US Senate where he didn’t accomplish a single thing except to name a post office, his arrogance and smug attitude that Hillary couldn’t get his supporters but he can get hers, as if he is somehow guarenteed the election without having to even work for it, or for our votes, I am a PUMA because of the bitter, gun totin, religion clinging comments,I’m a PUMA because of Jeremiah Wright and Michelle Obama, I’m a PUMA who is a 51 years old woman with a Bachelor’s in History from Virginia Tech, a married woman of 30 years with a husband who is a Vietnam Vet, 2 sons, one of whom is 24 years old with cancer and no insurance, and he is one of the 15 million who would be left out of Obama’s Universal Health Care because of a pre existing condition. This election was too important to me and millions of others for the Democratic Party to step in and fix it for their chosen one. This country needed Hillary Clinton, we nominated her with the popular vote. And for them to overturn our votes and say they don’t count is outrageous and we cannot allow it to stand and be validated by our votes in November. They turned their backs on the people in this country, and took our voices and our votes and threw them out the door. So I turn my back on them. I am now an independent, and I will vote for McCain in November. Which is why I am also a very proud PUMA.
Obama is going down to defeat — either in August or in November. The GOP hasn’t yet started their ad campaign (except WA state is attacking early — they are going to take out the current Dem Governor).
Obama is going down to defeat — all Narcissist lose but not before they sucker in a lot of people.
I’m a Democrat Puma in WA voting against the Governor. This time I’m voting for the Republican Rossi for a couple of reasons. First the Governor endorsed Obama when both our Senators backed Hillary. Pay back to Kerry who gave her 250,000.00 to pay court costs in a recount. Second she gave huge amounts away - millions in tax breaks that this State can use right now, in back room deals to the casinos - and in return the casinos gave her hundreds of thousands in donations.
Convienant.
Northwest..
Obama has been defeated ever since the Wisconsin primary.
It’s been a slow motion train wreck in progress!
Please continue to classify me as you wish===dem, republican, old, white, poor, illiterate! Guess what…I don’t care! Iwill never vote for this piece of “flotsom”! And all whites don’t have Klan robes under their pillow! I’m getting fed up with this!
thank you for this post Diamond.
The core reason I am a PUMA:
beyond my personal view of Obama as unqualified,
beyond my support for Sen. Clinton as a candidate whom I believe would be one of the best POTUS’ in our history;
the core reason I can not support the party in this nomination of Obama is the actions of the RBC on 5/31.
All that led up to it was indicative of a fixed process, but as a lifelong Democrat, and someone who identifies my core values in large part with my political party, I may have gotten past everything else, may have been able to follow Hillary’s lead for unity.
However when the RBC had a closed door meeting violating the Rules,
and then came out and gave dels from a protected Constitutionally recognized status of no preference/undeclared, which is protected under Charter of our party and Rule 13A,
to a candidate who elected to remove their name from the ballot
and FURTHER when the RBC then, STOLE 4 dels from Sen Clinton, representing the votes of 80,000 Democrats in MI who VOTED for Sen Clinton, they eliminated our fair expression and the core of our values as Democrats: the right to vote and have the vote recognized and protected and CHERISHED.
This is beyond all bounds what the Party has done thru the RBC ruling and the following of that ruling used to eliminate the opposition to their selected nominee,
this is not a free open fair process, this is not Democratic or democratic
If we support this, we will NEVER have a FREE FAIR ELECTION AGAIN.
That is how I see it.
PUMA
(registered when I turned 18 as a DEM and have voted for every DEM in every single election in the 20 years since, up and down the ticket, gave to DSCC DCCC DNC ,no longer. This cannot stand or we lose all we are.)
I am a PUMA because I believe the DNC violated one of the most fundamental of all constitutional rules, that once a vote is cast it must be counted as it was cast. Several Supreme Ct. decisions uphold that fundamental right, and confirm that it does apply in primaries as well as general elections. Also, one person’s vote cannot be valued more than the vote of another. So, it was clearly against the law to give Obama some of Clinton’s delegates, as it was against the law to halve the votes of MI and FL.
In the DNC choosing to interpret the votes of the people as they wished, they effectively selected the nominee they wanted instead of the one elected by the people. There are many, many reasons I feel the nominee they selected is unfit. Some of them are:
* His support of FISA
* Background of corruption
* Very thin resume of legislative accomplishments
* Takes credit for accomplishments of others
* No real plan for the future of the country
* No real plan to fix healthcare
* The legislation he has supported shows that he is for increasing profits of big oil/energy with billions in taxpayer dollars
* He has made it harder to sue a company when injured by a faulty product showin
