[...] NY Times Refuses To Print McCain’s Op-Ed While Analysts Downgrade Them (by Uppity Woman at No Quarter) The McCain Campaign Says NY Times Refused to Print his Op-Ed Response to Barack Obama. Apparently, John McCain didn’t tell them what they wanted to hear so they decided not to print his response. In other words, Mr. McCain is to provide a timetable for leaving Iraq, no matter what—or else. Having finally admitted publicly that they truly believe they should be running the country and telling candidates what their plans and opinions should be, the Times had this to say after sending John McCain to the Principal’s Office: “‘I’d be very eager to publish the senator on the op-ed page. However, I’m not going to be able to accept this piece as currently written. I’d be pleased, though, to look at another draft. Let me suggest an approach,’ Times op-ed editor David Shipley wrote the campaign via an e-mail later distributed by McCain’s team.” Why don’t you just write it for him, David? When are we going to demand that the media stop choosing our candidates. The problems with the last eight years are entirely the fault of the U.S. mainstream media, and that includes the New York Times. I personally want us out of Iraq, and the sooner the better. But I don’t believe it’s up to the New York Times to tell candidates what they’re allowed to say, about that issue or any other.
After what Rich and Dowd, the Bobbsey twins over at NYT did to Hillary, I haven't read that paper except for the movie reviews (even those aren't the best in the trade).

NYT's refusal to print McCain's Op-Ed is disturbing. And it's not even the government doing it. If this is what Obama does to presumably sane people, I predict his will be a reign of terror.

Below is a letter we just received from CNN Situation Room about our site. We hide the phone number for confidentiality. From the questions CNN asked, it is now clear that CNN is an undercover agent for Obama. You decide.

"We look forward to publishing Senator McCain's views in our paper just as we have in the past. We have published at least seven Op-Ed pieces by Senator McCain since 1996. The New York Times endorsed Senator McCain as the Republican candidate in the presidential primaries. We take his views very seriously," the statement said.

McCain's editorial contained obvious factual errors about Obama, his proposed time-line, how his proposal was received by the elected leader of Iraq, and who Barack Obama had input from while recently in Iraq.

It was more an attack on Obama and his proposals than anything else.

McCain doesn't reveal a damn thing about his own Iraq strategy. He talks about victory only as a vague concept. It's just a drum he beats because he likes the noise it makes. He never defines specifically what victory means in Iraq, nor does he give us a clue what specific steps he intends to take that will lead us there.

In other words, this particular editorial was the same tap-dancing routine the Bush administration has been performing since his famous "Mission Accomplished" pronouncement. The only thing "substantive" about it are factual errors.

The New York Times did John McCain a favor. He needs to get his new thoughts about Iraq together and articulate them clearly. Otherwise people are going to think he really doesn't have any.

Rupport Murdock apparently has no problem publishing such an empty editorial. You can read what John intended for his New York Times Op-Ed piece here:

Kind of off topic, but have been looking at

http://chicagoagainstobama.wordpress.com/

There is stuff there that shows obama's fundraising is fishy.... multiple donations by many "unemployed." Many donations from overseas addresses. Many donations from the same person on the same day... etc. And I had no idea the Illinois budget was in such a crisis state... is that what he plans to do to the United States as well? The center of the violence is his own district, and where is he now?

How many is many? She neither gives us a number nor does she give us the content of the ones she claims were rejected. Without that information its difficult to determine whether we have a mountain, or a molehill, or what's behind door three
