Arrogant Thing, You Make Everything…Horrid

OK. My head is spinning. I can say the Obama Campaign could not get any more outrageous or preposterous, but I am sure I will be proven wrong.

Senator Obama, on his Rockapalooza tour of the Middle East and Europe, is now taking time out from photo ops and playing hoops (you know, while Afghani women were being executed) in order to issue a ‘fatwa’ of his own: He is forbidding the press corps to wear green.

From Politico:

Mohamad Bazzi, a professor of journalism at New York University and former Middle East bureau chief for Newsday, called the instruction “very strange.”

“I guess green is the ‘Hamas color’ — but it’s also the color of Islam!” Bazzi said in an email from Beirut. “That’s one way for the Obama campaign to alienate 1.4 billion Muslims worldwide.”

Why stop now, Senator. You’ve already alienated ‘bitter’ voters, Asian voters, Italian voters, rural voters, women voters, gay voters, FL, MI, WV, KY, OH, to name a few… but wait, there’s more!

James Zogby, president of the Arab American Institute, said:

“I’ve never heard of that before,” he said, adding that nobody had ever suggested avoiding the color on his satellite television show, which airs weekly in the Arab world. “This is an overreach on somebody’s part,” he said. “It’s not going to insult anybody, nor is it going to offend them if somebody does wear green.”

“Our folks in Jerusalem and the USA have no idea what this is about,” said an official of one major American Jewish organization. “We have not ever suggested that people not wear the color green.

Is Obama afraid of being associated with being a Muslim? Why? He’s a Christian, no? Why the abundance of caution? Doesn’t he realize this could be construed as him protesting too much – again?

Just as he did with his faux “outrage” at the New Yorker cartoon of he and Michelle…

I mean, if there’s really no smoke, why make a fire? But this is not the only fire…

We recently had the Obama campaign ‘uninviting’ Senator Max Cleland from a campaign event. You remember Max – the man who lost three limbs in the Vietnam war and fights to help other veterans’ recovery; one of the icons of the Democratic Party. Well, the Obama campaign says he’s technically a “lobbyist” and they wouldn’t want to open themselves up to criticism. Uh-huh.

OK, now that he’s offended all veterans. What else do we have…

Throwing Jesse Jackson under the bus. Why worry? I mean, Jesse Jackson hasn’t earned his stripes in the civil rights movement or anything, has he?

Throwing – actually, hurling General Wesley Clark under the bus. By the way, at the Netroots Convention this weekend, I think the General got a little of his own back – but I’m not sure the crowd got the reference. In thanking the Netroots Nation for sticking up for him after being skewered for his comments about John McCain, Clark said:

I was at a Washington dinner with James Carville, … I said, “James, …how are we going to convince the American people that just because we’re in a time of war that they don’t have to vote Republican? How are we going to get them to understand that Democrats have a pretty good national security record?”

[Carville] said, “You’ll never get the American people to believe that Democrats will defend them until Democrats stand up and defend each other.”

The Netroots crowd cheered, not realizing General Clark was probably criticizing Obama for not defending him.

Obama also threw Hillary Clinton’s 18 million supporters under the bus and then told us to “get over it,” with his inimitable groupie, Nancy Pelosi echoing his every turn of phrase. You remember Nancy – the House Speaker with the 14% approval rating – once again unable to keep her foot out of her mouth insulting Hillary’s voters re the possibility of her being selected for the VP slot…tossing out Gov. Kathy Sebelius’ name in the same breath – cause you know, all us gals are interchangeable.

Then there’s his audacity at wanting to campaign in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Germany. No offense there.

I now understand Senator Obama thinks our military isn’t enough and wants to employ a civilian national security force? Can you say Blackwater? Does this scare anyone else?

And now he may be offending all Muslims, too?

This is odd considering none other than Senator John Kerry said that Senator Obama is uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between us and the Muslim community. Not so much now, huh, John?

By the way, Senator Kerry, how did it feel to see your friend Max Cleland kicked to the curb by your favorite wunderkind, Obama? Are you going to make a public statement about that one and speak out for your dear old friend, Max? Or is your new friend, Barack, more important?

And then there is the good relationship Obama’s says he’s going to build up with Europe over the next eight to ten years. Ten years? Did the length of the presidential term just increase while I was out for dinner or something? How about eight years? Never mind, eight, ya gotta make it to the first four, Barack…or is that just a technicality?

Right now, considering how damaged the Republican brand is, with Obama’s enormous financial and press advantage, how is it that he’s in a dead heat with Senator McCain? I mean, he should be 20 points ahead, shouldn’t he?

Hank Sheinkopf, a respected political consultant, was interviewed on Lou Dobbs radio show last week, and said Obama ‘just needs to keep his head down and his mouth shut till the Conventioin and then he’ll get a bump.’ Wow. I thought we wanted to hear Senator Obama speak. I thought his strength was his communication skills. Maybe the first term is not such a sure thing after all.

Perhaps that is why Obama is terrified to face John McCain at a town hall meeting.

Hell, he won’t even meet with his own press corps. You know, the ones who aren’t allowed to wear green.

From Andrea Mitchell on Hardball, July 21st:

Let me just say something about the message management. He didn’t have reporters with him, he didn’t have a press pool, he didn’t do a press conference while he was on the ground in either Afghanistan or Iraq. What you’re seeing is not reporters brought in. You’re seeing selected pictures taken by the military, questions by the military, and what some would call fake interviews, because they’re not interviews from a journalist. So, there’s a real press issue here. Politically it’s smart as can be. But we’ve not seen a presidential candidate do this, in my recollection, ever before.

Don’t complain Andrea – you vomited all over Hillary at every turn so you could help this guy get the nomination. Happy now?

Maybe if the press corps asks Senator Obama what his favorite color is and wears that, they’ll actually be granted a real press conference and get to ask, you know, like eight questions or something?

And now the ultimate insult. Senator Obama has put his logo on a plane that is flying overseas instead of the American flag. We have troops risking their lives every day. He is there representating our country and by America’s leave, with America’s protection. We fly our colors.

Does he think he is bigger than the United States of America?

I find this man and his campaign so deeply offensive, words fail at his latest act of hubris and disrespect. So I will simply end here.

Please, some one tell Obama to stay in a foreign country and not come back — we don’t want him here.

Comment by Diana | 2008-07-23 19:43:50

This is what I’m talking about when I say Hillary and McCain would work. He is constantly getting little digs in at Obama for Hillary. Like when he chastised him for using “Hillary’s” health care plan. He was pointing out it was Hillary’s plan, not Obama’s. Most of these things, if not all were said when? When Hillary was running against Obama. McCain is a lot smarter than Obamabots give him credit for, he wants to make sure if he is not running this country. This country is being run by someone he trusts with it, and that someone is not Obama.

Do you people even realize how psycho posts like this are, how revealing of the author’s warped psychology? Do you realize how often writers here make fecal references with regard to Obama? And yet you deny there’s a racial component to your hatred of the man?

Do you people have *any* self-awareness whatsoever?

Comment by Joe | 2008-07-23 03:57:04

Don’t go blaming your own psychiatric problems on others. Only someone with a schizoaffective disorder would willingly support a confabulating, sociopathic, narcicistic, cocaine addict such as your Messiah and then accuse others who oppose him of racist attitudes. Go back to your Messiah’s limo and don’t forget to wash your hands with soap when you leave.

Thanks Joe,

Truely, only sociopathic schizophrenics can sympathize with Obama’s personality disorders. I appreciate your astute perspective on this elephant of a candidate.

Are you equating the color of Obama’s skin to excrement or do you believe Obama is excrement?

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-07-23 11:48:55

Neither. I’m suggesting that a considerable number of posts here imply that some of you do. I used to think that the PUMA movement wasn’t fueled by racism but after reading this site pretty carefully for the past month I’ve pretty much changed my mind, at least on the part of a fair number of people here. It’s mostly hidden by words like “inadequate,” “unqualified,” “…with a tan,” all the excrement references, all the Muslim/Hussein smears, screaming about “black nationalism” (which Obama has never said a single word about, so far as I know), the overweening obsession with his place of birth, the hip-hop jokes, the cocaine references (despite the fact that his last known dabbling in that drug was 30 years ago, when the rest of us dabbled in it too)…

That stuff all adds up. You’ll all deny it and curse me out and tell me to go back to my Messiah and all the rest of your usual impotent frothing, but to anyone who has read enough NQ threads, it’s awfully easy to read between the lines. You don’t care about America. You don’t care about progressive values, or any other political values. You don’t even care about Hillary Clinton, at least not anymore. You care about hating Obama. And one of the real reasons you hate Obama so much, without doubt, is his race. And you all know it.

Comment by susan | 2008-07-23 13:00:44

He also said he gave up smoking, yet he was caught red-handed. Face it, if fhe would lie about something as unimportant as smoking, he will lie about anything. I guess the real concern is, why would you support a liar? That, by the way, is only one of his many faults. I suggest you EDUCATE yourself to the candidates before you cast your vote, lest YOU be accused of voting for him only because he is black.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-07-23 16:01:55

For the record, Susan, I’ll be voting for Obama because he is going to be the Democratic nominee during an era when I truly believe that, allowed to remain in power, the Republican Party will destroy the world.

Seriously. I believe that from fiscal policy to military adventurism to environmental policy, they are well on their way to doing permanent damage to human civilization. Compared to these issues, your complaints about Obama are laughable. Meaningless. Beyond trivial.

Comment by Obama is a bum | 2008-07-23 16:24:07

“Republican Party will destroy the world.”

You are a nutcase, see a psychiatrist — and fast.

Comment by DAB | 2008-07-23 19:09:45

With McCain we will have a split government which has worked well in the past. A totally Democratic Congress will fulfill all of a President Obama’s wildest dreams because they are (1) in love; (2) fear him; or (3) are so invested in his success that they will “look the other way”. We already had that with GWB — don’t need to repeat the same mistake.

Speak for yourself, idiot. You lost whatever small amount of credibility you may have had remaining. You just admitted you are a drug abuser like Obama and then try to dismiss your malfeasance as “everyone else does it”. Pathetic.

“And one of the real reasons you hate Obama so much, without doubt, is his race. And you all know it.”

That’s right, jackass, use your standard race card when you or your candidate have nothing to offer. You chose to make a decision based on race while others make decisions based on qualifications and character. You have shown your true colors and you are truly pathetic.

Can you briefly describe here for all of us Obama’s connection to Aiham Alsammarae, Nadhmi Auchi, William Ayers, Bernadine Dorhn, and Antoin Rezko? I’m doing my own survey on how educated voters are regarding their candidates. I’d like to start with you. I await your response with bated breath.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-07-23 16:28:07

The first two I’ve heard of but don’t remember a lot of details…I believe they both traveled in Obama’s Chicago circles and may someday theoretical help to implicate him in some sort of thus-far-ill-defined and utterly unproven corruption. Aham is an Iraqi, no? Rezko, jesus, whatever. Yes, Rezko was an important figure in Obama’s early political career. So what? Seriously — so what? Show me a national politician who never collected any money from anyone who turned out to be dirty. Show me one. Or show me one documented instance of real, actual, veritiable Obama corruption related to Rezko before I get worked up about that.

As for Ayers and Dohrn: yawn. Fucking YAWN. Those two are now respected members of Chicago society, and I don’t mean among leftist circles, I mean among high society, big-money establishment circles. Yes, they were in the Weather Underground back about a billion years ago. Nobody cares anymore. Really. Nobody cares. And I’ve never read anything that indicates Obama has ever been at all close to them anyway.

Jesus, come up with something good already. You venerate Hillary Clinton? The list of people in the Clintons’ circles who were dirty is so much longer than any such list relating to Obama (largely because they’re older and have had more time to accrue these sorts of barnacles — they are no more or less corrupt than him). But that you ignore with your hands over your ears saying “nyah nyah nyah” like a freaking five year old.

LOL! So now “fecal remarks” are racist too??? Why don’t you give us a handbook of all words and phrases that are racist (including blank pages for all the words you haven’t added yet)? Start with:

fairy tale
inexperienced
unqualified
fecal
puppies
grass
carrots
tulips
trains
tall

You could print and sell copies and make a fortune for your Lord & Savior so he can paint his house with a huge “O” on the side and the presidential seal. (Is “O” racist now too??!)

I love how the Bots with their total lack of awareness accuse us of lack of analysis! Go play in traffic.

Comment by Cahil | 2008-07-23 09:41:34

There is absolutely nothing racist in this article, or by any of us here for that matter. Obama is inexperienced and unqualified, which makes his gargantuan arrogance even more ridiculous than it would be otherwise.

We do not want to have this person representing us — he is a disaster and is so full of himself, he does not even realize how deep in over his head he is. Negotiating with foreign leaders before he is even the actaul nominee - much less the President? Are you kidding?

While you are discussing self awareness, you might ask yourself how you can still support a man who has reneged on every single campaign promise he made. What does that make you? Either a paid blogger, or someone in deep denial.

Please admit your mistake.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-07-23 11:57:01

Uh, sorry, but…

a) Congresspeople who go on foreign trips have policy discussions with foreign leaders. Only in the deranged La-La Land that is NQ would this standard-issue sort of trip be considered a problem.

b) Your statement that Obama is “a disaster” has no facts to back it up. Every time I ask someone here what exactly they expect him to do as president that is so bad, they cannot answer. Whereas, I can list, very specifically, all the things we absolutely can expect McCain to do that would be disastrous, for America and for the entire world.

As for your last statement: my support for Obama makes me an intelligent, historically aware American progressive. Whereas your (presumed) support for the Republican and deeply irrational hatred of the Democratic candidate makes you…well, let me try to stay marginally polite for once and not say the bad words out loud.

Comment by Annagain | 2008-07-23 12:04:22

If you will take the time to scroll through past articles you will see many specific reasons we do not support him. Do not pretend otherwise.

He is hardly progressive when Obama reverses his position on FISA, public financing, NAFTA, Iraq, Iran, womens’ rights, gun control and the death penalty — he sounds a helluva lot more like Bush than McCain does.

Do your homework instead of finding ways to be disrespectful, He is a disaster because away from his teleprompter he makes gaffe after gaffe and his sterling judgment had him surrounding himself for 20 years with the most nefarious, crooked and divisive of men. Look it up.

Progressive? You are drawing on a weak hand.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-07-23 12:17:09

Oh, I see, you dislike him because he isn’t progressive enough? You honestly believe McCain would be a more progressive president than Obama? Don’t make me laugh. You don’t believe that for a second. (Leaving aside the fact that most people here say they hate him because he’s a Communist/socialist). And don’t pretend that this is an issues-based site. I have read many, many dozens of threads, from top to bottom, on this site over the past couple of months. I know better. You PUMAs are obsessed with poring over every last gaffe and triviality and using each one as a spark to ignite long threads of screaming about how much you hate him. The color “green” alone has inspired literally hundreds of posts about how contemptible he is, which is more than I’ve seen about any substantive policy issue in the past week.

If you think that Rezko and Wright qualify as “the most nefarious, crooked and divisive of men” you need to read more history. The Clintons have a much more distinguished record of crookedness — a fair number of their good buddies from Arkansas have gone to jail for various forms of corruption. And nothing Obama and his Chicago circle have ever been accused of even holds a candle to the rosters of international war criminals that graced the halls of the White House under Nixon, Reagan and Dubya Bush.

Gaffe after gaffe? That’s rich. Are you really still blissfully unaware of the string of simply astonishing, elementary factual errors that McCain has made for the past week as he attempts to keep up with Obama in discussing Middle East policy? It’s been a big part of the political conversation for days now, everywhere except on NQ, because nothing bad about McCain, or Hillary, or anyone else except Obama, is permitted to exist here.

Oh, and by the way: where exactly did Obama “reverse his position” on Iraq, Iran and women’s rights? Please enlighten me.

Comment by Annagain | 2008-07-23 12:30:50

I will still take Hillary over Obama any day of the week. The Convention has not played out yet. We shall see if any SDs wake up from the stupor in time to nominate the correct candidate.

As for enlightening you — as I stated earlier, scroll back through and read earlier articles here — or even in the koolaid sipping mainstram media about his policy reversals — don’t lie and say you can’t find any.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-07-23 12:53:24

I didn’t say I couldn’t find any. I know exactly what they are. He has been lame on free trade, just subtlely political on gun control and the death penalty, brazenly political on public funding (and thank god for that; I’m sick of giving the Republicans a huge fundraising advantage every cycle), and ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE for caving in to FISA. But of course, Mccain’s flip-flops on campaign finance, immigration, tax policy, torture and environmental policy are far worse. And he doesn’t to flip-flop on FISA because he is loudly and proudly on the side of the secuirty state, and against the constitution, and has been all along.

And I would have been absolutely delighted to cast my vote for Hillary this November. I would have donated to her, worked for her and argued for her online. Of course. No question asked. She would have been a fine president, I believe, and perhaps still will be one of these cycles. But it won’t be this year; she lost, it’s over, and no, the super-delegates are not going to change their minds in the next three weeks. And to the extent that you PUMAs are fighting against Obama just because you want HRC to get another chance in 2012, I personally find your priorities and activities utterly loathsome. America cannot afford another four years of Republican rule. That is the real disaster staring us all in the face, while you all fantasize about Obama’s imaginary disasters.

Comment by rjj | 2008-07-24 15:32:49

His “World Tour 2008″ (t-shirts available on the lower concourse) is nothing but one big campaign tactic. He isn’t interested in giving interviews, where he might actually have to say something substantial–it’s all about the pictures. Barry with the troops. Barry shaking al Maliki’s hand. Barry in the helicopter with Petraeus. Barry shooting a three-point basket. Barry basking in the adoration of European crowds. He is collecting video for future campaign ads. Of course, there is nothing “political” about his trip…nothing at all.

American voter sees ads, concludes Barry has what it takes to be CIC. It really is that simple.

Comment by fif | 2008-07-23 08:50:36

It is no different from his ENTIRE campaign. Avoid debates or tough questions. Hold lot of rallies where he gives speeches written by someone else (teleprompter required), bus in people (bribe them with free concert tickets and a steak dinner if necessary), and keep it very simple (Change, Hope, Unity) so you can make up answers that pander to each crowd or circumstance as needed.

What’s amazing? It works. This country is so busy trying to survive w/2 jobs, kids, activities etc, that most people don’t have time or energy to read. They make up their minds based on images, TV, and word-of-mouth. Obama is a symptom of our times, and Axelrod knows just how to exploit it. Orwell would be proud.

Except the black crayons. Banning them would be racist.

Obama is WORST than GWB !
He thinks and acts like he is already the president. To show the world his arrogance, he talks to the king of Jordan, closed door! Having a secret deal before he goes to Israel? If I were the people of Israel, I’ll kick this guy’s behind & wake him up.
The power to shake him up belongs to the people of America! But Obama is fooling the citizens.
AMERICA,WE DO NOT WANT OBAMA, WHO IS AN ARROGANT PHONY ! YOU DESERVE THE BEST! HILLARY CLINTON FOR PRESIDENT OR JOHN MC CAIN!
GOD BLESS AMREICA !!!

The Borg Prince wants everybody to bow down to him.

What an excellent post. Thanks for pointing out a few things that needed to be said.

As for the MSM, how did they expect to be treated? Differently than everybody else he has used and discarded? I am thankful that I did not drink the koolaid or watch the MSM too much. I will NEVER vote for him, but I think we won’t have to worry about that option for very much longer.

PUMA!

Comment by MaryPat | 2008-07-23 02:52:22

Not only does he want everyone to bow to him, but “he bows to nobody in his understanding of this world.”

How many definitions are there for the word “arrogant?”

Oh, he also thinks Australia is part of Asia. And maybe the 58th state, too!

Love the quote from Rice: “Senator Obama has travelled to Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South Asia many times before. He lived in Asia. He bows to nobody in his understanding of this world.” BOWS TO NOBODY? Interesting.

O.K. — now I know what to do — I am going to wear GREEN!

Green is not Obama’s favorite color — so that how to make a statement — wear green!!

The guy is a jerk — a controlling chauvinist stupid pig.

Comment by Joe | 2008-07-22 22:42:51

Maybe he’ll also ban the display of green on St. Patty’s Day. Wouldn’t that endear him to Irish Americans, huh?

The oldest AA sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha has green and pink as its official colors. Guess they’ll have to dump green too or find some room underneath that huge bus of the Messiah.

I understand that Obama also enjoys drinking water and breathing air. Perhaps you could make an even bigger statement by boycotting those activities.

Comment by Obama is a bum | 2008-07-23 04:40:57

“I understand that Obama also enjoys drinking water and breathing air.”

You don’t understand Obama very well. Obama enjoys smoking crack cocaine and only breathes air to survive. Obuma also prefers kool aid to water.

I’ll make a bigger statement by boycotting Obama.

sad thing is, these are just a few of the things he has done recently.

No telling what’s in store for us.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-07-23 03:42:24

I know, it’s just exraordinary. He’s campaigning for president. He visited a foreign country and met with foreign leaders and tried to make sure his staff was culturally sensitive. He’s WORSE THAN HITLER!

God, you people get more demented with each passing day. The real story today is McCain’s latest senile rantings that CBS covered up — the guy is supposed to be an Iraq expert and can’t even remember which came first, the surge or the Anbar Awakening — but we’ll never talk about that on No Quarter, will we? Here’s a blatant case of McCain not knowing what the hell he’s talking about — yet again — and a national network blatantly covering for him to keep him from looking bad. But in your Little Universe of Crazy, the mainstream media is totally in the bag for Obama and McCain is a seasoned, wise leader.

Comment by Obama is a bum | 2008-07-23 04:50:34

“He’s campaigning for president.”

In Obama’s narcissistic mind he thinks he is already president.

“He visited a foreign country and met with foreign leaders and tried to make sure his staff was culturally sensitive.”

So Obama wants to be culturally sensitive and the jerk has the audacity to lecture us in the US that we have to speak Spanish. Did it ever occur to this moron that this is an English speaking country and we should not have to adopt to anyone coming here? Tell Obama to stay in a foreign country and not come back — we don’t want him here.

“He’s WORSE THAN HITLER!”

Agreed. And this jerk is just getting warmed up.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-07-23 15:51:32

So you agree that Obama is “worse” than a man who murdered 9 million innocent people and whose warmaking killed maybe another 20 or 30 million? Based on what? What has Obama done which compares to this?

Comment by Obama is a bum | 2008-07-23 16:35:31

Obama has a head start on Hitler. The ground work has been completed. 20 years in a racist, anti-American church headed by his mentor Wright. Kicked off in politics by his mentor, Ayers, of the infamous Weathermen.

Obama is just getting started on his destruction. As president he will implement what he has learned all of these years.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-07-23 17:31:38

I see. So, you expect him, if elected president, to deliberately set out to commit genocide and conquer the world militarily?

Sport, I don’t care of the MSM has a three-camera Desilu shot of McCain handling snakes on Sunday, videotape of Cindy shooting up Mexican black tar heroin with Joe Stalin and John Gotti and he picks a convicted child molester for a running mate:

NO OBAMA, NO WAY!

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-07-23 15:57:18

I understand that you feel that way, Fred. The question is why. I’ve never heard a convincing answer to that one. Sorry, but I am not buying that “inexperienced” and “unqualified” are the reason that you folks have such a personal, burning hatred for this guy who, to the rest of the planet, seems like a young, ambitious, charismatic mainstream Democratic Senator.

Comment by Obama is a bum | 2008-07-23 16:37:13

You have failed to give any convincing reasons to make Obama president. All Obama has in his past is disturbing negatives. Obama needs mental treatment.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-07-23 18:02:49

My answer is, because he’s the Democratic nominee and John McCain is completely unacceptable, for any number of reasons that I’ve enumerated elsewhere many times.

Now answer my question: why do you hate Obama so much? Specifically? Why is it so personal?

Obama and his people are the politically correct police (gestapo) on steroids.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-07-23 04:00:28

You see? LOL. Directly below my post where I point out the absurd comparisons of Obama to Hitler, this clown extrapolates from the Obama campaing telling its employees to be careful not to wear a color that might offend their hosts, to them being like the Gestapo.

Do any of you even notice this stuff anymore? Or is it all just accepted — is any rhetoric, no matter how absurd or extreme, acceptable as long as it’s trashing Obama?

Comment by Obama is a bum | 2008-07-23 04:53:46

Obama has no qualms about offending citizens in the US — as I stated before, keep the jerk out of US and tell him to take Wright, Phleger, Ayers, and the rest of his offensive pigs with him.

He is only in this for himself.

Comment by imustprotest | 2008-07-23 09:31:45

sf you idiot, I have a right to make a historical comparison of tactics used by the Obama campaign. I did not say Obama was Hitler. I compared his over policing tactics to the most obvious over policing tactics known historically. We still have free speech in this country and I have every RIGHT to use it. The fact that you come on this board and pick apart every word is illustrative of my point exactly. I would use a similar characterization for you SF….you act like a member of the gestapo.

Comment by sfhillary | 2008-07-23 11:38:41

Of course you have a right to say whatever you want. I wasn’t insisting that you shut up — not that I have any power whatsoever to enforce it even if I did — I was laughing at your weirdness. The fact that you consider a private political campaign’s tmeporary dress code in any way, shape or form reminiscent of “Gestapo tactics” is just…very strange. But then again, if Obama hadn’t done this and someone on his staff had worn an article of clothing that somehow offended some Muslims, you would all be hyperventilating about how horribly insensitive Obama is and he’s so incompetent that he can’t travel to the Middle East without offending people whom he thinks all must bow down to him because he thinks he is the king of the world already, but you all know better, you will NEVER vote for him, NEVER EVER. HE IS SCUM. COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY! PUMA!

LOL. “Don’t wear green” = “Gestapo tactics.” You are pathetic.

Green is also considered the Irish color. Maybe he heard David Letterman’s joke about how many O’Bamas are left in Ireland.

As I recall, the only way for a president to serve 10 years is to fill the end of another president’s term, then get elected to 2 terms of one’s own. Maybe that’s his back-up plan if Clinton pulls out the nomination. Maybe that RFK hysteria was another case of Obama (like Bush Jr. before him) accusing his opposition of what he secretly has in mind.

After all we’ve seen these last 8 years, I’m not sure there’s any theory too tinfoil anymore.

Comment by Retired | 2008-07-23 00:38:57

I think that you may have hit upon something here. Perhaps O’Bama is an Orange Irishman, and he’s sending a signal to Ulster loyalists.

As for Andrea Mitchell, having hosed Hillary, Obama probably thinks that she should be greatful when he tells her to remove her green underwear and submit on the couch of political correctness. You asked for it, sweetie!

Obama has violated the Constitution of the US by reaching unilateral agreements with foreign leaders.

Since when can a lone Senator set US foreign policy?

Oh that’s right, since Obama.

Well if Obama can do this why can’t Hillary or McCain do the same?

Oh that’s right. They can’t do it because it would be un-Constitutional. Unless Obama, the Constitutional scholar, does it.
