Obama Supporters: “That’s Racist!”

I received this email today, highlighting once again, how anyone who speaks out against Obama is racist. This is seriously just TOO MUCH!

Dear Sara,

Last week I forwarded you an important email from MoveOn, regarding FOX’s use of language against Senator Obama and his wife, Michelle. Many thousands of you joined the petition, and for that I thank you. Below is an update on that campaign that was sent earlier this week.

With great respect,

Congressman Robert Wexler

 Dear MoveOn member,

Over 428,000 people have signed a petition telling FOX to stop their racist and hate-filled smears against Barack Obama. If we hit half-a-million signatures, we can draw media ttention and put pressure on FOX’s advertisers.

Plus, Robert Greenwald’s Brave New Films released a video this morning documenting FOX’s ongoing smears against Michelle Obama. Please check out the video, and then sign the petition calling on FOX to stop peddling racism—and then tell your friends.

Just click here: Click here

 Here’s the link: https://pol.moveon.org/donate/foxsmears.html?rc=wexler2

FOX is shameless: in the last several weeks alone, they’ve “confused” Obama’s name with Osama’s, referred to Michelle as “Obama’s Baby Mama,” and called an affectionate fist bump by Barack and Michelle a “terrorist fist jab.”

Our partners at ColorOfChange.org will hold a major event next week to deliver boxes and boxes of petition signatures to FOX’s headquarters. If we can deliver half-a-million signatures, other media outlets will have a powerful story to report—and FOX’s advertisers will get the hint that it’s not a good idea to associate their products with FOX’s hate-speech. Thanks for helping to fight the right-wing smears.

This was my reply:

First of all, MANY people in the media have accidently confused Obama with Osama, including Ted Kennedy. And CNN, and MSNBCAnd Obama events. It has even happened in Italy, when someone called Barack, Obama bin Laden.

ALL the media talked about for years was Osama Bin Laden. It is normal that it would be a slip up every now and then.

And not that I spend a lot of time defending Bill O’Reilly, but he said he did NOT want to start a lynching party on MO after her statements that she made about not being proud of her country.

And thirdly, Michelle called Obama her baby daddy, and that is where FOX got the idea.

Oh, also, Eddie Hill, as shown in your video, was listing all of the names the *fist bump* had been called, once Michelle and Obama were seen doing it.

I suggest you focus on more important issues than continuing this idiotic drive to label ANYONE who opposes Obama as racist.

Obama is the one who drew the race card first. Obama is the one who labeled the Clinton’s and their supporters racist. Why don’t you address THOSE issues. Not some fake contrived *attacks* by the right. These attacks have been coming from the Obama camp. Not the right, but the far left. The media and the Obama camp.

I have unsubscribed from these emails. This is so ridiculous.

Good reply, American Girl! Actually, FOX was making fun of the idea that the annoying fist bump was a terrorist jab. FOX was NOT trying to claim it was a terrorist jab! OMG! I used to respect MoveOn. I used to support them.

As far as calling anyone who doesn’t vote BO a racist, the kool-aid drinkers can shove it. They know they are just name-calling and trying to intimidate weak-minded people into voting BO. It extortionist- vote our way or we label you racist! ROFLMAO. Well, they can name call all they want. Big deal, f off you Father Pfleger shrieking tool-bag freaks.

What’s especially funny is the only ones who fit the racist label are BO supporters themselves. We all saw the hate-church they worship at.

Who will now pay any attention to actual incidences of racism after to many faux outrages?

I’m completely over the race crap. Obama play land wants to turn this into conditioning
(like Simon says on little kids): they yell racist, we’re supposed to cringe. Never mind the word is being stripped of all meaning.
Now they yell racist and I want to just say,
f- off. Real racism isn’t even an issue anymore– real racism towards blacks isn’t newsworthy because we have the Obama slut as the only news worth reporting (by the media sluts). Real racism towards whites is becoming the rule. Bleach your minds out white folk, you’re being programmed. “Sit. Stay. Roll over. Vote Obama.” Know what, Obama jerks? We don’t like being programmed. We got this far without catching the bus… face it Obamaphiles, we ain’t riding. No Obama. Not ever.

At the top of the Drudge Report there is “The Hype Behind Obama” It is a series of videos, and financed by Citizens. There is more than one sponsor of that revolving spot so just wait for the links to appear.

Drudge was the main one doing the hype during the primaries. And, if you have not read, most MSM check his blog in the morning before going on air. And, Druge hates MaCain.

The WSJ ran an article by Shelby Steele titled Why Jesse Jackson Hates Obama. He gives a great analysis of the election and the cultural dynamics at play. I won’t post the whole thing, but here is the part that specifically addresses race.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121668579909472083.html?mod=opinion_main_commentaries

I think the answer is that Mr. Obama potentially offers them something far more profound than mere moral leverage. If only symbolically, he offers nothing less than an end to black inferiority. This has been an insidious spiritual torment for blacks because reality itself keeps mockingly proving the original lie. Barack Obama in the Oval Office — a black man governing a largely white nation — would offer blacks an undreamed-of spiritual solace far more meaningful than the petty self-importance to be gained from moral leverage.

But white Americans have also been tormented by their stigmatization as moral inferiors, as racists. An Obama presidency would give them considerable moral leverage against this stigma.

So it has to be acknowledged that, on the level of cultural and historical symbolism, an Obama presidency might nudge the culture forward a bit — presuming of course that he would be at least a competent president. (A less-than-competent black president would likely be a step backwards.) It would be a good thing were blacks to be more open to the power of individual responsibility. And it would surely help us all if whites were less cowed by the political correctness on black issues that protects their racial innocence at the expense of the very principles that made America great. We Americans are hungry for such a cultural shift.

This, no doubt, is what Barack Obama means by “change.” He promises to reconfigure our exhausted cultural arrangement.

But here lies his essential contradiction: His campaign is more cultural than political. He sells himself more as a cultural breakthrough than as a candidate for office. To be a projection screen for the cultural aspirations of both blacks and whites one must be an invisible man politically. Real world politics, in their mundanity, interrupt cultural projections. And so Mr. Obama’s political invisibility — a charm that can only derive from a lack of deep political convictions — may well serve his cultural appeal, but it also makes him something of a political mess.

Comment by Hope Floats | 2008-07-22 09:42:20

I just thought to add that since this election is clearly a civil rights movement more than an issue driven change of direction - because Obama is so closely aligning himself with his opponent that this has to be about personality - here is a neat thing I saw posted on here about Fibonacci code.

Fibonacci Regulates the Occurrence of Landmark Political-Equality Events

Everyone recognizes the historical significance of the current U.S. election: A man partially of African-American heritage is the presumptive Presidential nominee of the Democratic Party, and a woman received (though by a disputed calculation) the largest popular vote for any Presidential nominee in U.S. history.

These historic events piqued our interest, and some quick research turned up the following data concerning some of the most important measures ever adopted in the United States with respect to the social recognition of equal political status:

* The thirteen original colonies of the U.S. were declared independent of Great Britain in 1776, courtesy of the Declaration of Independence—233 years before the next president will be inaugurated in 2009.
* Slavery was officially abolished and prohibited in 1865, courtesy of the 13th Amendment to the US Constitution—144 years before the next president will be inaugurated in 2009.
* Women won the voting privilege in 1920, courtesy of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution—89 years before the next president will be inaugurated in 2009.
* Brown vs. Board of Education, the most important Supreme Court decision outlawing school segregation, occurred in 1954, 55 years before 2009.

.

It is perhaps of some note that American society gave the vote to African-American men (1870) before giving it to women (1920) and that Congress ratified the 13th and 15th amendments more quickly than it did the 19th amendment. These precedents suggest that the U.S. is more likely to choose an African-American male president before it does a female president.

Along those lines, if the general election is close and Mississippi is the deciding state, the country likely will vote in John McCain. Mississippi was the last to ratify two of these crucial amendments— the 19th in 1984 and the 13th in 1995.

This excerpt from Shelby Steele’s article begins to address, quite eloquently, the shallowest end of a deep, and widening gulf between all members of the human race.

Admitidely, all members of the animal kingdom exhibit some form of polotical structure, but Homo sapians really take the cake.

The idea of “order for the sake of the greater good”, seems to have dwendled into obscurity. So much so, that polotical arena has, to me become, only a self prepetuating machine, checking itself in the mirror at every opportunity, insuring that its complexion,is acceptable to the majority.

Unfortunatly, at present, the majority is fixated on phenotypical variations related to skin coloration. Next week it will be socioeconimic status, the week after that, cultural backgrounds, the week after that, hair color, and so on.

We are are all screaming for change, but rest assured, the human race will continue to choose the seperate itself into hierarcal systems.

I am a white, lower middle class, middle age female, smoker, with a BA. and poor spelling skills.

There I have just provided the MAJORITY with enough ammunition to discriminate against me until the next Big Bang.

Change is necessary in this country, but even more urgently, for our species as a whole. We must begin to see past our pety human differences, to become what we already think we are……….highly evolved.

Good luck to us all,

NOLA

A lot of us did; seeing moveon as an antidote for the Bush mania sweeping the media in exactly the same way the Obama mania is doing now. I, too, send every request back with much the same message but include how the sexism used against the female candidate just doesn’t seem as important to them.

The only thing these organizations convinced me of is that they are as biased as any “news” program you care to name and have lost all credibility with their Obama intoxication. I supported moveon when Congress censured them, now I wonder why I bothered.

And as for that fist bump, it always struck me as wimpy looking; not exactly the gesture of a strong man or woman.

Sara, great response!

In pursuing liberty and justice for all a group of people have taken it to extremes. There is unresolved anger. There is a sense of entitlement. There is a call for reparations. I ask, when does the healing begin? How long does the vengenace continue? This won’t solve anything, heal anything, move anything forward. It stokes more anger and resentment. Everyone deserves a fair shot but no one is OWED ANYTHING. Every single person is faced with challenges their entire life. God does not want us to ask “why me-it’s not fair”. He wants us to say “what can I do with this situation to learn something and become a better person”.

Barack Obama is nothing but millions of people making a statement and to hell with America. Well we can’t do that. There are so many ways to change things and it isn’t through bullying, intimidation and threats.

Comment by Hope Floats | 2008-07-22 09:50:39

He is more than a kiss ass. He is corrupt, deceitful and played a pivotal role in disenfranchising FL voters. There is another thread on Kerry coming up for reelection, but someone thoughtfully explained how Wexler introduced paper trail legislation that was signed by Crist and moved up the primary date. WEXLER DID IT. Shortly afterward, he became the FL co-chair for the Obama campaign. Kerry helped lie and assure FL voters their votes would count. Then in January, he began announcing it was only a beauty contest, but they would work to restore these votes.

It’s sickening. These politicians were worse than any Republican you can think of. They committed fraud against FL voters.

I was willing to give Wexler the benefit of a doubt even though I knew it was far too late to impeach George W. Bush because I felt even getting the impeachment introduced was better than just letting his autocratic administration go unchallenged. (I still can’t call Bush president; that title is reserved for elected leaders.)

But I knew when he sent the first email asking for support for the Bush clone that he was just like all the other elected members of our government and no matter what he asks of me I will not participate and I have told him so.

We may lose this battle for Democracy but no one will ever be able to compare me to “good Germans”. I will not remain silent until “there is no one left to speak…” And even if Obama is put in the Executive office by selection or seizure, he will be the second occupant in Our White House that I will never call president. That title is still reserved for our elected leaders.

Obama is keeping Taylor Marsh flush with booze, bullets and bad wigs.

The only positive thing I can say about TM is that her site is what lead me to No Quarter - so for that, I say thank you!

I thought I was the only disgruntled Democrat who felt betrayed by the party that I supported. I also feel a bit naive that for so long, I sat by not being a well informed member.

No more! The blinds have been removed and in a way, I feel liberated because now, I can say that I am informed on the issues and realize that it is and always should be Country before Party.

I take comfort in knowing there are others that feel the same as me - both democrats, republicans and independents.

Do we really want to decide our next President by how well he plays basketball and reads from a teleprompter? This is so scary - they could not script a movie better than this!

TIPTOEING THROUGH THE ROSE GARDEN…

Move over Osama Bin Laden. We have a new terrorist on the block and his name is Barack Bin Obama, the Democratic Party’s presumptive presidential nominee, the first African-American to possibly become the president of the United States.

Should Barack Bin Obama attain his goal, America will be tiptoeing through the tulips in America’s rose garden around President Obama afraid of holding America’s leader accountable for his actions in fear of being called racist.

The Fourth Estate, whose job it is to explore, question, mine, and hold accountable its political leaders has long been under siege by the presidential candidate. Dare to question; risk a reputation. Dare to poke fun at; risk a reputation. Dare to report truth; risk a reputation.

All who question the candidate Barack Hussein Obama risk being branded racist. And, as a result, only a few dare to confront because if what is said or how it’s said doesn’t suit Barack Obama, Barack Obama will tar and feather his offenders through his Merry band of men and women, his able surrogates who will deftly play the race card whenever they think it suits Obama’s candidacy.

The trail of Obama hostages grows longer every day.
First there was Bill Clinton, and, of course, Hillary Clinton. Let’s not forget Geraldine Ferraro. But at least Barack Obama is an equal opportunity terrorist. Just ask Representative John Lewis, an African-American, once an ardent Hillary Clinton backer, threatened by his very own if he didn’t fall in line with the Great and Wondrous Barack Obama. One of the low points of the primary season was watching the hero of the Civil Rights Movement capitulate under the threat of Barack Hussein Obama or lose his long-held Congressional seat.

The latest victims of the Obama siege are cartoonist Barry Blitt and The New Yorker magazine that noble institution of American political satire.
When Osama Bin Laden flew those planes into the twin towers of the World Trade Center, investigative reporters, the Pentagon, the CIA, and every other spy agency in America moved into high-gear to uncover how such a thing could have happened.

But no one is investigating the assault on America’s fourth estate by Barack Obama or Obama’s terrorist attacks on his other victims including a former President of the United States.

Let me help out America’s terrorism task force.
Let’s look at what happened since the publication of The New Yorker piece as example of how Osama Bin Obama takes his hostages.

First, someone dares to stand up to Barack Obama, if not at least point out a few of the candidate’s flaws, or in the case of The New Yorker, poke fun at the candidates foibles.

Initially, when asked about the controversial cover, Obama refuses to comment on it. But as he has done in the past, he has his team respond to the considered affront. Obama’s merry pressman Bill Burton issues a statement deriding, in this case, the aforementioned art.

“The New Yorker may think, as one of their staff explained to us, that their cover is a satirical lampoon of the caricature Sen. Obama’s right-wing critics have tried to create. But most readers will see it as tasteless and offensive. And we agree.”

Bombs away!

Within minutes the press is typing away at their trusty keyboards, and Barack Bin Osama’s lackeys’ in the left wing of the blogosphere are jumping on the bandwagon. The outrage is palpable. Together in unison the song is sung. How dare The New Yorker play the race card!

The twenty-four hour news cycle is now under siege and while one of the largest banks in America collapses, 40 innocent human beings lives are blown to smithereens in Iraq, and Americans are breaking open piggy banks to find the money to pay for a tank of gas, Obama’s manipulating all with his feigned outrage, using the color of his skin once again as the way for him to get elected president.
Just when the attention deficit disordered media is moving to the next subject, Obama the victim, makes an appearance, or offers a presser where he will, after having held the media hostage for twenty-four hours, set them free with a new story, and an offer of a noble gesture.

On Larry King Live, just in time to allow reporters to put to bed their stories for the next news cycles and in apposition to his surrogates’ statement, Barack Bin Obama the magnanimous, finally commented on The New Yorker cover first saying that he’s developed “a pretty thick skin” running for president and has “seen and heard worse.”

Isn’t he wonderful?
He goes on.

“I do think that, you know, in attempting to satirize something, they probably fueled some misconceptions about me instead,” he said. “But, you know, that was their editorial judgment. And as I said, ultimately, it’s a cartoon; it’s not where the American people are spending a lot of their time thinking about.”

There’s a pattern here, folks.

American’s have become prisoners to a candidate who will use any means open to him to attain the presidency of the United States, including playing on American’s worst fears and guilt.

The United States has been under siege by Osama Bin Laden since that unfortunate day we call 9/11. After a while when under siege, being held hostage becomes the norm and it doesn’t seem quite as threatening as it did when first taken hostage by a terrorist. And, in fact, hostages are known to adjust to the subtle manipulation of the terrorist and without even realizing it the adjustment becomes the way.

Obama has gotten away with his manipulation of the media and the people for too long. As a result, the candidate hasn’t been properly vetted and in many ways, he remains a mystery to the American electorate. Americans can either remain his hostage – in particular the media – or stand up to the manipulation by overcoming fear and guilt.

That or risk tiptoeing through the next four years.

Hasn’t America been tiptoeing long enough?

If you think someone bashing you over the head with “bin Obama” is “excellent.”

It was pretty obvious from that, but I glanced at the blog and confirmed that this person is a rightwing mole. Who ELSE on earth would be wondering where Barbara Bush is and “hoping” she’s all right?

I, for one, don’t bother my “beautiful mind” hoping that the likes of Barbara Bush is still amongst the living, since she doesn’t bother hers over the deaths in the Iraqi invasion or in who got such a “good deal”
if they survived Katrina.

Not a right wing mole. A staunch HRC supporter. Don’t glance, read…

and as to Barbara Bush…she’s a human being, someone’s mother, blah, blah, blah. Just wondering. Will the Republican’s use her in the fall? She was very effective for Tush, if you remember.

What do you mean by staunch Hillary Supporters? Wasn’t these feelings the same over Gore’s race? Or being disappointed over a woman is “staunched” and for man is “disappointing”.?? Or do young college children who voted for her are considered “old white ladies over 60″ and staunched.” That word is not appropriate.

Staunch means strong, loyal.

If not supporting Obama-bin-lyin makes me a racist, ok. So be it. After studying race and ethnicity, I thought racism was something different. But if THEY say racism is disagreeing politically, then count me in. I’m a racist.
