Will The Real Hillary Please Stand Up?
By Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy on July 26, 2008 at 8:30 AM in Current Affairs, Hillary Clinton

Oh, wait - it is the same Hillary we have known and respected for all of these years. Yes, she has been pretty consistent in her positions for years now, not that you would know it from how Obama, the DNC, and the MSM have treated her.
One of my favorite writers is Anna Quindlen. Not only has she written some mighty fine novels, but she has great commentaries every other week in Newsweek (I know - I can hardly believe they still have her there either since they became an Obama mouthpiece). Quindlen is also a big Hillary supporter, smart woman that she is. I came across one of her older pieces today, THE SAME OLD (NEW) HILLARY: AFTER YEARS OF FREE-FLOATING PROPAGANDA, HER COLLEAGUES ARE ASTONISHED TO DISCOVER THAT SHE IS COLLABORATIVE AND CONGENIAL. It is a prescient piece in terms of the issues raised in this primary. From the outset, it addresses faith - something people, okay, Obama trolls, have claimed Clinton has talked up since she decided to run for president. Those of us who have followed her career knew this wasn’t true, but hey - what do we know? A lot, apparently:
In 1992 I spent part of the day with the wife of the putative Democratic candidate for president. We covered the issues, the campaign and her husband’s plans for the future. And we talked about faith, about how both of us believed our religion had led us toward a heightened interest in various social-welfare issues. That’s the real Hillary Rodham Clinton. A lifelong Methodist, she’s as reticent about her faith as a Sunday-school teacher–and she once did teach an adult class, back in Arkansas. Yet recently when she’s mentioned God, knowing snickers have erupted. Ultraconservative pooh-bah Gary Bauer was quoted as saying it was “the ultimate makeover.”
Then there have been the constant attacks we have all heard about her going into the Senate - no way people were going to work with her, especially Republicans, she was a dragon lady, etc., etc. Well, nothing has been further from the truth:
Actually, a makeover has been underway since the former First Lady went to Washington under her own steam as a senator. It’s just not the one Bauer means. People are finally seeing past the stereotypes and fabrications. In New York state her approval rating is just shy of 70 percent. After years of free-floating propaganda, her colleagues in the Senate are astonished to discover she is collaborative and congenial. “Those people wanted to hate Hillary so bad,” Harry Reid said when she visited Nevada. How disappointing: she’s likable, not to mention smart and hardworking.
Well, no kidding. Yes, she seems to be “likable” enough. And she has worked her heart out on the issues that affect real people’s lives - veterans, those with HIV/AIDS, women, not JUST since she became a senator, but for her entire adult working life. For over 30 years. But hey, some folks don’t worry about letting facts influence their opinions:
The so-called Hillary truth squad is ratcheting up again for her re-election race in 2006 and the widely rumored run for the presidency in 2008, suggesting that on all kinds of issues the senator is changing her tune to a hummable version of “Hail to the Chief.” The truth is that she is now who she has always been. The suggestion that common ground needs to be found on abortion, common ground around better access to contraception, is nothing new. Her concern that the culture is deadening our kids to sex and violence has been one that she has discussed before.Consider these sentiments:
“Our ancestors did not have to think about many of the issues we are now confronted with. When does life start, when does life end? Who makes those decisions? How do we dare to infringe upon these areas of such delicate, difficult questions? And yet, every day in hospitals and homes and hospices all over this country, people are struggling with those very profound issues.”
If the senator had made those comments last week, every story about them would suggest positioning for the presidency. But they are taken from a speech delivered 12years ago, a speech in which she spoke of a “spiritual vacuum” that government cannot begin to answer, of the thirst to “feel that we are part of something bigger than ourselves.”
Say what? She’s been saying the same thing for the past 15 years (this article was written in 2005)?? How DARE she!!! Why, doesn’t she know she is supposed to change her positions whenever the wind blows? Especially if it involves important matters like health care?? Oh, oh - better, yet - if it involves shredding the Constitution, now THAT’S a good one on which to change up! Yippee!! What kind of politician IS this woman, anyway?!? Quindlen continues:
A stroll down the memory lane of news clippings shows pundits didn’t know what to make of that speech. It conflicted with the chilly-Hillary iconography that reporters reflexively adopted, big government combined with the ever-popular secular humanism and a healthy dose of dragon lady. Occasionally there was the obligatory counterstory–She’s warm! She’s funny! She prays!–culminating after her election in the breathless report that her Senate colleagues liked her. Now, however, the monorail is back on track. No matter what she says, no matter how long she’s been saying it, everything will be refracted through the lens of a run for the White House.Like most complex and intelligent people, the senator is difficult to categorize neatly: idealist and pragmatist both, a person who believes in personal freedom and personal responsibility, a moderate described as a liberal and reviled as a radical. This makes her like so many who reject either/or, who believe in both strong families and good day care, both prenatal care and the morning-after pill. It has also made it easy to demonize her by those who prefer black and white to gray (and any man to a strong woman). An article she wrote about the rights of children in fractious families was twisted into the allegation that she thought kids should be able to divorce their parents. The suicide of her friend Vince Foster was wreathed in fringe-group suggestions of murder. If the woman cured cancer, there would be complaints that she’d ignored heart disease. And not just from the right. Within her own party, power brokers suggest that she is too polarizing, too hated, to run for president. You could say exactly the same about George W. Bush, but no one said he shouldn’t stay in the race because he was reviled or divisive.
Oh, heck no - men don’t have to get out if they are perceived as divisive, or polarizing or whatever. And here’s the thing - Bush WAS divisive and polarizing, just like Obama is. The only thing that is polarizing about Clinton is the Right Wing Smear Machine that has painted her as such, a machine the Obama Campaign took over, being the good Democrats they are (cough, choke). By all means, use the Right Wing’s taking points against one of your own who has worked her heart out to serve the people. What an upstanding thing to do - not.
See, if the Obama camp, or the Right Wingers, didn’t smear Clinton with false characterizations, they’d be in a world of hurt, and they know it:
Here’s a sense of what happens when people pay attention to the real Hillary Rodham Clinton. In New York state, which consists not only of the city but also of a whole lot of upstate counties not so different from Nebraska, close to one out of three residents had a negative opinion of her three years ago; today that figure is down to almost one in five. If she can’t become the first female president, it ought to be because voters reject what she really believes, what she really stands for, what her real plans for the future may be, not because they got suckered by a smear machine or easy oversimplification. In that 1993 speech she spoke of changing the national ethos to the golden rule, so Americans “truly begin to try to see other people as they wish to be seen and to treat them as they wish to be treated.” Perhaps there she was being prescient.
No FREAKIN’ KIDDING! “See people as they wish to be seen, and treat them as they wish to be treated.” Huh. Now there’s a concept. And no wonder the DNC, Obama and the Right Wingers are scared to death of this woman - her brilliance, her competence, her commitment to serve all put her in a league of her own.
And speaking of that - while Obama is out sticking his foot/feet in his mouth, twisting this way and that, shredding the Bill of Rights, and WORMing on everything under the sun, Senator Clinton continues to do the work of the people. Yesterday, she spoke at a rally on the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, a bill she sponsored. In case you are unfamiliar with bill, it is based on a real case:
Lilly Ledbetter, whose Supreme Court case led to the reversal of decades of precedent in wage discrimination cases, spoke of her hope that the bill will become law so that women in the future will have the ability to seek the redress that the Supreme Court denied her. Ledbetter worked for Goodyear for 19 years before discovering that she was paid significantly less than her male counterparts with the same or less experience. The Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that the complaint had to be filed within 180days of the initial salary decision even if the victim is unaware of the discrimination until much later…The intent of this bill is to provide more effective remedies to victims of wage discrimination based on gender. It also amends the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to require the EEOC to collect wage data based on gender.
But that’s not all. She also had a number of amendments added, and passed, to (t)he Tom Lantos and Henry J. Hyde United States Global Leadership Against HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria Reauthorization Act of 2008
That’s just been in the past couple of days.
I think we can ask Obama, in the immortal words of Janet Jackson, “What Have You Done For Me Lately?” I know the answer to that - lied, and lied, and lied…
So, here is yet another damn wake up call to the Superdelegates. PAY ATTENTION, already!! Enough with the head in the sand crapola - grow a spine, think for yourselves, stop letting yourselves be bullied by the Obama thugs and the DNC hacks. Seriously. Act like adults. And pick the adult to be the Democratic nominee - the one who can play well with others; can think for herself; has integrity; can make a well-informed decision, and stick with it; is constant; and who truly cares about the people to whom she has devoted her life. THAT is who we need now, not the spoiled brat adolescent who wants everything without having to work for it, and who cannot take a stand to save his, or anyone’s, life. Please. Get with it, SDs. Earn your title.

WHAT DOES ISRAEL REALLY THINK ABOUT OBUMMA?
After seeing so many beautiful false images about Obamas second coming to the world I am delighted to find it was a big JOKE!
Obama held a free POP CONCERT in Germany featuring two of their most popular bands. He served FREE bratwurst and beer. He staged a crowd for his ENGLISH SPEAKING SPEECH. While the Germans waited for their free party
I THOUGHT I WOULD PUBLICLY DISPLAY A OPEN LETTER TO YOU OBAMA FROM THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL……
http://hillaryloyalistnowformccain.com/whatdoesisrealreallythinkaboutobama.aspx
Nancy Nancy Nancy what are you truly trying to accomplish?
First you Kiss up and promote your Golden Boy for President
instead of selecting the best person that could beat McCain thus allowing the people to elect Hillary Clinton which we did. I always assumed it was because you in fact are the only women in line for President……
must read the rest of the story at:

Impeachment is not going to happen. There are only 6 months left and Georgie will be back in Crawford.
They had 8 years to do something and “it is off the table” was their statement over and over.
The only reason it is even mentioned now is due to the single digit approval polls for congress and to push the case for Republican smearing - which some of them in Bush and Co. do deserve. The Dems need to make ob look good somehow, since he is such a sham man, that they are attacking Mac by attaching him to Bush as a 3rd term Bushie - which he isn’t.
Nobody is taking Kucinich seriously. Nancy has no designs on the presidency and she would have to some how get rid of Dick too, whose impeachment failed.
Excellent article Rev. Amy. I like Anna Q. too, she was one of the main reasons I will still occasionally flip through a NewsWeek….straight to the back page. Used to subscribe….but gave up as with other MSM….waiting for sanity to return (sigh)
After receiving YET ANOTHER Newsweek with BO on the cover bathed in golden light, I called the subscription department and canceled, making sure that a message was sent to the managerial staff:
“I am tired of see BO’s face plastered on the cover. Newsweek has become nothing more than a propaganda arm of the Obama Campaign. What happened to integrity and objective journalism?”
They had Obama in the pose made famous by MLK, eyes closed, looking down with chin on hand. Obama has a very high opinion of himself
I can’t look
I won’t look
you can’t make me!
hehe
Yes, this is a great piece and reminds me once again how sad it is–for all of us– that Hillary Clinton is not our nominee.
Hey Super Delegates–you have a chance to do something that is obviously right here! Any of you have that kind of courage???????????
Hillary has also taken the lead in the fight against Bush’s recent attempts to equate contraception (such as birth control and IUD’s) with abortion which would severely affect access for lower income women. Then there is the detailed and compelling talk she gave on 7/18 on the Senate floor regarding gas prices, drilling, and a desperately needed “energy revolution.” While BO is traveling in his new vanity plane, holding pep rallies in manufactured settings with hand-picked press/photo ops, Hillary is actually WORKING FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. It is a tragic and sad state of affairs that after 8 years of an empty egomaniac, people are seduced by another when we have a true stateswoman standing and ready before us.
That, fif, is the thing that really saddenes me. Why are many of us so easily seduced?
It would be ESPECIALLY nice this year if the AMERICAN PEOPLE became the puppeteer of their own Prezeldent!
wouldn’t it be nice?
(dripping in snarkle fresh sarcasm)

I’ve got to have one of these T-shirts.
ROFLMAO
that is the funniest damn thing EVER!!
it would be better if HILLARY was standing in the background just rolling her eyes and thinking ^^^(sigh)BOYS^^^
You would probably like the McCain F@#*& It poster they have at Peoples cube…lol
I am partial to the Rev. Jerry Damn! one myself….
My T-shirt is of Obama in a Mickey Mouse hat. When I got it, I had intended to just wear it around the house or at my friends places but now I’m gonna wear it as BAIT!
o.k. - so this morning’s The Nation had this gem — apparently it’s all about the Obama’s sex appeal. THAT’s why he needs to win…nice slam against McCain ….good lord:
“When he leaned into Michelle as she wrapped her arms around him from behind after the New Hampshire loss, when she cradles his face in her expressive hands while kissing him, with every dap and nuzzle and palpable vibe between them, “you see love onstage,” said Harriette Cole of Ebony, the first in a long line of popular magazines to certify the two as a “hot couple.” The right will no doubt try again to paint Michelle as a bomb-thrower and might mine the vein of white fear of unbridled black sexuality that Barack prospected disturbingly close to when he scolded black fathers. But it’s hard to see smears trumping the desire of millions of people for the promise of the most conservative thing in the world, a happy marriage. For youth the image of hot married love stokes the fantasy that maybe one day… For marrieds, it raises the notion that maybe this is the best sex they’ll get. For Christians eager to sell the marriage bed as pleasure dome, it affirms that this is the best sex there is. Even homosexuals have a place inside the magic circle now that Obama has come out against California’s anti-gay marriage proposition. All in all, a wholesome package as Barack and Michelle make America cool and marriage cool by making both sexy, or at least ready for their close-up.
It is still possible that voters will decide to hitch the national identity to the stiff, asexual, erratic McCain and his zombified former drug addict wife, instead.”
yuck
who the hell wrote that huge nightmarish fantasy?
yuck
wtf?
and then to continue in the over-the-top overwrought style of a hack romance novelist…Who wrote this pap?
I also noted the slam against Cindy McCain.
I thought progressive/liberal ideology required sensitivity to those with addictive substance disorders? No compassion for Cindy, though.
is there a twelve step program for us white folks who are unbridled black sexuality-phobic?
I just returned from (unsexily) mowing the grass (hand mower!)and had this thought:
“you know, like it would really great if Obama picked, umm, Angelina Jolie as his VP. Wow! How sexy would that be! And she could bring those ethnic babies into the office, and we would like, SOOOOO be the best country on EARTH!!!! BCF! (best country forever)”
This campaign season gets more surreal by the moment. Here we have Senator Empty Suit about to return from his Cardboard CutOut Whizbang Overseas Mendacity Event, and the editors at The Nation think it’s more important for the American voter to focus on the difference between Negroid and Caucasoid booty call.
p.s. Less is More: the sexy way to mow grass is with a John Deere tractor, every redneck knows that.
I don’t know Bama,

If the wiggle is good, a push mower might look pretty good. That said, in my neighborhood, its more like watching the south end of a north moving mule! (me included)
LOL….When is this ludicrous MANDINGO fantasy going to end….We are talking about POTUS…..WRIIIIGHT ?…..EMBARRASSING….TRULY….
I felt my bodice rip itself even as I was reading
HA!
I think I am going to be sick….
Wait…there’s MORE!
For a moment I thought Nader Rox was funnin us, so I went to The Nation to see if the article was really there. It is. August 4, 2008 edition
yes, amazingly, sickeningly, it’s real! sorry i shoulda linked to it, but in my haste forgot:
http://www.thenation.com/doc/20080804/wypijewski
but did you get to the web letters? at least most were incensed by the “story”…one even asked if it “was satire, like the NY’er cover”. ha, ha
PUKE! It’s #1 on the Oblowme Talking Points List
Yeah, right. He’s really
not a Nancyhot - barf.More like Larry Craig syndrome.
BTW - Cindy McCain gives great interviews.
MEchelle is in BIG trouble.
The Beard’s softer image seclusion
better have lots of cantina wire.
I think the working dynamic in the senate will change, now that the prospect of a “President Hillary” is finally off the table. She is free now to vote her beliefs, instead of having to calculate every action’s impact on a potential run at the White House. In addition, the other Senate Dems are going to be a lot more “collegial,” now that they realize she’s in the Senate — probably forever — and very likely to become the Majority Leader.
Think of Ted Kennedy. Sometimes a failed Presidential run is the shortest path to real and enduring power.
no she’s gonna be the nominee of our party and probably our next President!
YES SHE WILL
FUCK TEDDY AND HIS WATERLOGGED CAR ! The Fat Lady has not sung and HRC only suspended her campaign and will be on the BALLOT at the Convention. What people say publicly to keep little fascists from slashing their tires is way different from what they do with their votes.
SHe has ALWAYS voted her beliefs. She is doing absolutely nothing now that she hasn’t BEEN doing for years. But hey - why bother with facts? They seem meaningless to you.
Workingclassartist has already pointed out your failed logic regarding Clinton’s “failed” campaign, so I won’t be redundant. It wouldn’t matter anyway - it’s a fact, and we have seen from you, day after tiresome day, that facts do not matter much to you.
I disagree with Running Dog’s comment completely, except I have a different twist. We know that Hillary has always voted her beliefs and that as you said, Hillary has always been Hillary. But now that she’s not running for POTUS, they (media, Obamacamp, DNC) can leave her alone. They don’t have to keep painting her in this negative way because they got what they wanted now. They’ve got their precious chosen candidate. So all of the brilliant work that she does may actually get reported by the slime buckets in the MSM.
Good point Imust,
I think she has ‘distanced’ herself as far as she can without outrightly resisting. I mentioned the other day that losing battles sometimes leads to winning wars.
Fantastic read RRRAmy! I read it through, but need to come back to it, and give it the much deserved attention.
It is so great to read positive pieces on Hillary. I miss her from the campaign trail!
And the reasons I support Hillary so strongly are highlighted above.
Thanks, Sara!
It is painful watching Obama fumble around, while our real nominee carries on with intelligence and vision.
That is another reason I am voting against Obama. The ultimate hypocrisy is to claim that he is running a transformative campaign and then using right-wing smear tacticts against Hillary Clinton.
It’s like Obama and his ilk have never heard of the Golden Rule. They only want it to apply to them whenever it’s convenient.
Oh, they apply the “Gold-en Rule”- the one with the gold makes the rules.
Just wait until the Karma Rule is applied. What come around goes around. This is my prayer ~ that they all get what they have coming.
If Karma is the only hope, then I think we’d have to wait for him to take it in the butt in his NEXT lifetime.
I prefer the ’70’s version.
“Get backs are a MOTHER!”
Karma requires that we wait for Something to get even for us. Barry is leaving plenty of opportunities to do him up good in this lifetime.
Let’s keep up the pressure.
I remember hearing a Clinton biographer ( and Lord, forgot which one) give an amazing analysis of the Clintons and the importance of faith to them , in particular how their different denominations shape their views and actions. Bill the Southern Baptist and Hillary the Methodist from the Midwest.
Hillary is a Methodist “ Faith without works is dead Faith” - born, breed, raised, still practicing, passed it on to her child- Methodist. Period. It has shaped who she is and what she believes since she was a child and she has never faltered from those core beliefs. It shapes her relationship with God and with God‘s children. How she views the “Universal Church” and her role in it - whether divine and triumphant or temporal and suffering- is clear and solid for her. Always has been.
AGREED
LIKE HILLARY I AM A SCORPIO
IN THIS LAST WEEKS NEWSPAPER IT SAID
IN EVERY GENERATION THERE ARE 36 PEOPLE BORN THAT HAVE THE GOODNESS
AND SPIRTUAL SPARK
THAT THEY SAVE THE REST OF MANKIND
FROM DISTRUCTION
I TRULEY BELIEVE THAT OUR HILLARY
IS ONE OF THE 36
Obama hasn’t done a damn thing, lately or otherwise, for anybody save Obama and quid pro quo recipients like Rezko.
Super delegates — You’ve learned by now that the money you thought Ojokema was going to bring you isn’t there. June told the tale, as Barry O had to post some bogus, one-day ‘fundraising’ of $25 Million to try to save face from the butt kicking he took on his idiotic $100 million prediction.
Everyone is watching you, closely. Are you going to go along with the coup, like the pusillanimous, sickening Wisconsin “Democratic” Party just did by kicking out a Hillary delegate, or are you going to be able to tell your grandchildren that you stood up to the neo-fascism of the race-baiting Obama campaign?
We’ve all seen the tactics used by the Obama ACORN crew. PAID Obama supporters have posted people’s private medical records, called people’s bosses, shouted ‘racist’ at any opportunity and have attempted as much brownshirtery as they could get away with.
Will YOU — yes, you — be complicit in this thuggery? Will you allow this to go unchecked. Will you, like a Robert Wexler, help to enable it? Do you really want your legacy to be along the lines of a Stalin accomplice?
Think hard about that.
The Obama fanatics are out of control. The forensics man who was working on exposing the Certificate Of Live Birth forgery posted on Kos’ site and Fight the Smears finds his tires punctured and a dead rabbit on his door.
And you said Hillary was like Fatal Attraction, right?
And now Chynethia Gragg in Houston, frenzied Obama backer, is arrested for making, and I quote, “terroristic” threats against those who merely have UNSUPPORTIVE BUMPER STICKERS against “The (Fraudulent) One.”
Let me tell you something: When this rubber band snaps, and it’s going to snap, the amount of force which will be involved in the whiplash is going to be cataclysmic. You don’t want to be associated with that, or electorally stampeded out of office as part of that movement.
It is coming, soon. It already happened to an office holder in Massachusetts and John Kerry is on his way to the same fate. The Wisconsin crap is a failed attempt to try to stem the tide, fascist-style. That won’t work, either.
The best example of this phenomenon is when the GOP started running ads in North Carolina, I believe, criticizing Obama. Once someone had the courage to take the first step, the donations started flooding in.
That is what is going to happen with Barry O. And to you, if you back him. Make no mistake — people are keeping tabs and score. Jesse Jackson, Jr. isn’t primarying anyone, as John Lewis could tell you after he flipped Obama the bird in ATL and then won his primary at a 70% clip.
Nobody cares, no one is scared. People are over being called ‘racists’ falsely, and Barry’s loss in the popular vote in the primaries and his subsequent begging for money and for HRC to be his VP has clearly demonstrated not only is this guy NOT the Messiah, he isn’t sh*t, period. Donna Brazile was telling we PUMAs to stay home, now she’s begging like a chump for us to back Golden Boy. Nope, not happening. But we know Ofraud needs us, just like we told you he would.
Anyone with a passing fancy in history and psychology knows what’s going on here. We see the Hitleresque posters (and people called me crazy for making a video comparing BaJoke with Hitler months ago), we see the campaign signs with BaDork’s visage and the rising Japanese sun. We know the tactics of ACORN and the Mark Penn inevitability strategy. We get the synergy with the FOX ‘racist’ petition thing.
Everybody sees this for what it is, and it’s not working. Barry ain’t even Kerry, can’t even get that separation in the polls.
We all know the disaster that awaits The Clown Prince in November.
Do you want to be a part of that failure, Super Delegates? Do you want to be coerced to abdicate your senses for this lying dung heap from Chicago? Do you want your name attached to what is going on here?
Make the right call in August, or forever be tied to the ignominy that is Barack Hussein Obama.
We are watching, and we will not forget. Nor will we let your constituents forget, either.
Thanks for the great comment! This should be sent to every newspaper and Super Delegate and State Democratic Party Headquarters. This is the TRUTH!
Excellent!
Thank you, alibe.
We have, all of us, had enough.
Time to draw the line in the sand and defend our individual freedom, our Party and, indeed, our country.
What Obama is selling is not something America wants. Nobody wants it, actually. Europe thought it did maybe 70 years ago but that moment is over, and it wasn’t the USA, either.
No wonder he’s overseas. He can be global king or whatever, but get him the heck out of here.
Thanks, Paul, for the great comments.
What happened to the WI delegate is shameful, shocking, and sadly, indicative of what the “Democratic” party has become…
Reverend Amy, thank you. For all the hard work you have been putting in here at No Quarter. Your work is fantastic.
We’re all in this together, and all of us are grateful for what you, Susan, Texas Darlin, Charles, Larry and every other No Quarter front pager and commenter is doing here.
I went to see John McCain’s local townhall the other day. I have never been so happy to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance in my life. And to be around people who I know aren’t rooting for the downfall of the country, like a Bill Ayers or Michael “America is the greatest sin” Pfleger.
Obama and his people are a serious threat, they really are. That doesn’t mean that if he wins the nomination and election he’s going to make a b-line for a Turban and call in Hamas, but he and his people have openly discussed purges in the Party and I remain convinced that if he were to win he would use FISA against his enemies and against dissenters. This guy is very corrupt and totally without scruples. That’s why I have felt for some time that he is borderline sociopathic. He will drop anyone and anything in a heartbeat that he feels will stifle his ambition, like he did Rev. Wright.
The Obamabots know exactly where I live, I have gotten calls and all the shakedown. It is insanity, and it makes me think that this is how things started in 1930’s Germany, 1920’s Italy and 1920’s Russia.
We have to fight against this madness or else we will be consumed by it. That’s why they’re floating all this triumphalist BS — the latest chapter is talk of Barry’s transition — to try to make it seem futile to resist, like we’re going to have the Star Trek Borg foisted on us or something.
We’re not having it. If the polls say Barry by 20 points on November 3rd, I will feel the same way.
You never, ever give in to this type of crap or else you lose a little bit of your soul. And the terrorists, so to speak, win.
Thankfully for us, we are not going to have to make the metaphorical choice of dying on our feet or living on our knees.
We are going to defeat this guy, and as this is the Democratic Party, once he loses, he’s gone. Won’t be a second run.
Hopefully the SD’s get it together next month. If they don’t, we have 3 months and some ‘change’ to work our tails off to make sure we do what we can to stop people like Chynethia Gragg from getting into power, lest she and they destroy our Republic in their wantonness.
It’s not about color, not about gender, not about anything but honesty, decency and justice.
Barry Ofraudma is a liar, a punk and a fraud. He doesn’t deserve to win any election, anywhere, and he sure as hell is not the person we want as the leader of the free world.
Fight on, PUMAs! We have truth and justice on our side, and we shall prevail.
Paul F V
This is unsettling. The Washington Post, to its credit, has been one of the only publications that has written about the tactics being used (including political threats) against african american politicians who choose/chose to not support Sen Obama as democratic nominee before and after Sen Clinton chanegd her official status int his campaign. It is VERY frightening. According to sources, the people doing the threatening include Jessie Jackson’s son -who is one of Sen Obama’s campaign managers… If this isnt fascism, I dont know what is.
These pols have been told to their face-you dont support sen obama-we will support strong african american candidates to run against you and will urge african american voters to boot you out of office. absolutely incredible and frightening.
This needs to be exposed. PLEASE will some independent journalist, citizen journalist please dig more nto this and write about it…

Paul.
Buddy! Wonderful post. I too have smelled this rat for a long, long time and suffered the same derision when I started to speak out right after he declared.
I regret that I don’t hold optimism that anything but comedy will come from the DNConvention. but it will at least help us all identify who needs to be excised from our political system so that we can start to rebuild a balanced, REPRESENTATIVE government.
We have seen too clearly what divisiveness in congress has caused us. Partisanship and long simmering resentment are what has put Barry where he is.
Blame, I believe, needs to be permanently put on the back burner.
It is my feeling that the Rep’s would like to reach across the aisle and join with the remaining sane Dem’s to come to an accord which, rather than causing caustic, suspicious backbiting, will focus on the thing we all agree on and getting that done. Good things come when quid pro quo is based on positive actions rather than on hurting the other side and alienating it.
If we are to stop Barry, we need to hang together or Barry will most assuredly hang us separately. (with slight apology to Ben F.)
Thanks, Zeke!
You are absolutely correct: we have to stand together to defeat this menace.
Let’s do it!
The Racism Cry Returns
Joe Klein says that anyone horrible enough to suggest that Obama — who isn’t even the official nominee of his party — is being a bit presumptuous in touring Europe and the Middle East automatically couples that criticism with “the subterranean tinge of racism.”
Andrew Greeley says that black Americans (all, apparently) and the rest of the world will “scream racism” if Obama is defeated by John McCain. Greeley says that “Only the innocent and the naive think that the November election will not be about race.”
New York governor David Paterson recently suggested at the national meeting of the NAACP that an Obama loss is a racist victory.
I will not insult your intelligence and vainly attempt to assuage my supposed white guilt by claiming “some of my best friends are black,” or revealing the racial background of my college roommate, and the artist who dominates my music collection. I refuse to do so not because it is a cliché, but because it is unnecessary for the non-racist to do so.

Fred,
I saw that excrement by Klein.
F*ck you, Joke Lyin (Joe Klein).
The MSM is throwing a hissy fit cuz Baby Barry didn’t get no bounce.
Too bad. Boo bleeping hoo.
Joke Lyin is trying to take away the obvious conclusion that everybody saw Barry’s fake, grandstanding trip for what it was.
Hey Joke: Presumptuousness doesn’t have a color there, bud. You are just as capable of being an assuming a-hole as is Barry.
But Barry isn’t getting any passes. When Suzie Rice is talking about “Presidents don’t make political speeches” or whatever, your fake golden calf will be labeled presumptuous because that’s exactly what he is.
You might be stupid enough to think that you can guilt people by playing a shell game with presumptuous and ‘uppity.’
Fat chance, loser.
Nobody is buying what you guys in the MSM or Barry is selling.
Barry, like the political fawn he is, is going to have to stand on his own 4 trembling feet, sans fake ‘racist’ games.
And when he can’t, and he falls to the ground, don’t blame us Joke Lyin.
Blame your moronic self, for thinking we were stupid enough to be gotten over on by the likes of you and the rest of the MSM frauds and the hacks in the ‘Bama Posse.
Your comment demonstrates what is going on with white Obama supporters. See, I’m like you. I don’t have to vote for the black man to prove to myself or others that I’m not racist, I already know I’m not racist. Actually, the charge that liberals are racist is so counterintuitive and factually inaccurate that anyone who has two brain cells to rub together would dismiss it out of hand. But it’s been the cornerstone of the Obama campaign from the gitgo, and of the DNC’s propaganda as well. That shows the intellectual level of these peole who think we MUST vote for their guy.
Amen, Terri.
Obama and his flunkies are banking on that misplaced guilt and wanting to supposedly be ‘part of history’ to bully people to vote for a stunt, inexperienced candidate.
No chance. He is going to be defeated, and we will help to make sure that he loses.
If we’re all created equal, why does Oblowme demand preferential treatment?
Equal is fair.
Equal plus is fixed.
Being called racist and whether or not feelings are hurt is a lot less important than the welfare of our country.
Frankly backtrack barack I don’t give a damn what you call me.
Pumas stand up for the country. What do you standup for?
COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY ALWAYS
PUMA RULES
Is it okay to vote against his white half?
I’m writing a letter to the editor of my local upstate NY newspaper about the Patterson BS. Wonder if it will get printed?
I’m disappointed in Patterson. For a week or so I thought he was gonna do a good job as the inadvertent Governor but Nooooooooooo.
First thing he did was sign a law making displaying a noose a felony punishable by 4 years in prison based on the Columbia U professor who claimed that had been done to her only to retract it and admit she’d hung the noose herself.
Talk about blatant.

I have been following Sen Clinton’s career and contributions to our country for many years.
I have read books about her written by her supporters and opponents.
One of THE best books that I have read about her that shows different aspects of her ‘complex’ personality and issues she faced in life is:
Hillary’s Choice by Gail Sheehy.
Positive and negative aspects of her personality and choices are discussed in this biography
After reading this book, my respect for Sen Clinton grew even stronger.
Borrow this book from the library or buy it-it is definetely a ‘must read’ for Hillary supporters and for people who think they understand Sen Clinton…
You know I have heard so much negative about Hillary already that I have no desire to read more.
That being said, I saw the book reviews and many people state that it is factually incorrect and very biased against Hillary.
Obama The Patriot Blames The Military For His Decision Not To Visit Wounded Troops.
Only two facts matter. First, Obama, as a U.S. Senator, can visit the troops any time he wants. Second, the only restriction was that he could not bring reporters. Obama didn’t want to do it without reporters, so he blamed the military for forcing the cancellation.

Thank you for this refreshing article! It is so refreshing and pleasant to focus on our girl for a change. Yes, the primaries are over. And yes, it looks like the other guy has got the nomination and may be will become president.
But there does remain a slight (I agree very very slight) chance that our girl may get the nomination after all. Why don’t we discuss her values and her achievements rather than giving more airtime to her one time opponent? Negative propaganda is still propaganda.
Besides, even if Hill never becomes president, I haven’t the slightest doubt that she will affect American politics and public life more significantly and profoundly than most politicians do.
Let’s talk some more about our girl.
Gotta love this woman. I always liked Bill, got disappointed in him over Monica, but got outraged that he would be impeached over what should have never been exposed and sensationalized and what then should have been a censure not impeachment–but 13 Democrats made impeachment possible.
Now, I still like Bill but I think Hillary is the real solid Clinton leader. She didn’t commit adultery or any other questionable action and she is smarter than Bill (I always thought that, it’s why I voted for him twice), and she’s the idea politician.
I will never forgive the Democratic Party for squashing her unjustly to foist that criminal, Barack Obama, on the ticket. And I’ll never vote Democratic again unless the whole DNC leadership changes and they publicly recognize the Clintons as the rightful leaders of the party.
Also, Talkleft is making a ridiculous, irrational argument that Iraqi refugees shouldn’t be allowed in the U. S. because there are millions of illegal hispanics who haven’t been granted amnesty and they should come first! I’m going to have to limit myself to No Quarter or just stop reading blogs.
ANyone read the story over at TM that John Edwards has been caught having an affair with a younger woman? Supposedly L. A. Times has it documented, but it is TM.
Terri, I did exactly the same - voted for Bill twice because of Hillary in the hope that she would gain enough EXPERIENCE to be president. She did that, and MORE, and is the rightful nominee - if one cares what the PEOPLE think. The DNC clearly does not, however. I think they should change it to the R/DNC myself.
And yes, that story abt John Edwards does appear to be true. Apparently, insiders have known abt this for quite some time. Kinda makes you wonder, doesn’t it?!?! Why he all of a sudden supported Obama when Hillary was FAR closer to his own policies? Hmmmm.
The same reason why the majority of super- delegates switched over to him. Maybe reporters should do a little digging into all of the super-d’s who have endorsed him. I am sure they will come up with some dirt on all of them.
NOJOKEOBAMA
I could care less who is having an affair with whom. (Edwards is a nasty piece of work for doing this to his wife of course.)
We are not about to elect a hight priest or a saint. We want to elect somebody who is devoted to the Country, the People and the better Future. Bill Clinton was such a person. Hillary would be even better. McCain will have to do if we don’t have Hillary.
OBum might or might not cheat on his wife with Larry Sinclair - it is dirty but not my business. He is an idiot, a sociopath, a criminal and totally clueless.
PUMA
God help us all. And I’m black. What I’m I? I will never support Obama. I’m I agains blacks? I am black, proud, intelligent, educated and successful. Americans, Wake up. I hope I do not say “I told you so” again for the third time. Twice was with Bush the II.
We can all get a bumper sticker that says “Don’t blame me, I voted for Hillary!”
I hope that isn’t necessary, but if she isn’t the nominee, I will make such a sticker.
I’ve already got my “Don’t Blame Me, I Voted for Hillary” bumper sticker, and it’s going on my car if she isn’t the nominee.
THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS AMERICA
HILLARY OR
MCCAIN FOR ALL OF US
I, too, love Anna Quindlen and have read two of her wonderful novels. But she has been the greatest disappointment to me during this crazy campaign season.
The question for me isn’t why Newsweek keeps her, but why she hasn’t resigned in disgust for all the propagandizing Newsweek has done for Obama. She wrote nothing of substance about it or Hillary at the time.
I canceled my subscription after the issue declaring Obama the wi
