Barack Obama is the most radical candidate ever to stand at the precipice of acquiring his party’s presidential nomination and the American presidency. It is apparent that he is a member of an international socialist movement which hopes to use the United Nations as a vehicle to shake down U.S. taxpayers for trillions of dollars in slavery reparations. One group, the African World Reparations and Repatriation Truth Commission, is demanding an astronomical $777 trillion.
In 2001, Obama’s Trinity United Church of Christ passed a resolution declaring that:
“WHEREAS: The institution of Slavery is internationally recognized as crime for which there is no statute of limitations, AND
WHEREAS: Uncompensated labor was demanded from enslaved Africans and their descendants for more than two centuries on U.S. soil; AND
WHEREAS: The principle that reparations is the appropriate remedy whenever government unjustly abrogates the rights of a domestic group or foreign people whose rights such government is obligated to protect or uphold has been internationally recognized…”
In that same year, Martha Biondi, Associate Professor of African American Studies and History at Northwestern University, notes that the United Nations World Conference Against Racism was held. It was the result of “a decade of advocacy and organizing at the U.N. Human Rights Commission” and work by the so-called December 12th Movement. The conference issued a “Declaration and Program of Action,” which held that “slavery and the slave trade” constituted a “crime against humanity” and that “Africans and people of African descent, Asians and people of Asian descent and indigenous peoples were victims of these acts and continue to be victims of their consequences.”
“The United Nations has emerged as an extraordinary stage for the reparations movement,” she says.
As President, Obama could take that stage.

What is galling about the caucus irregularities is that that was done in a primary against your own party candidate — A fraudulent behavior against your own party member instead of leaving it to where the chips may fall.

I have a couple Obot friends, the one with whom I can discuss politics does not have the first clue about the Dem nominee process. I know if I sat down with him and explained it to him, and maybe even did a couple simple flowcharts, he’d get it. This is not meant as a snark, it just tells me that the Obots don’t really scratch below the surface.

The one Chicago political anecdote I clearly recall is that when a City Councilwoman (alderwoman, I don’t know their particular nomenclature) - when filibustering, was surrounded by aides who formed a curtain around her to shield her while she pissed in a pot.
So you ask “How could this be?”
Maybe the country recognizes a politician formed out of the cesspool of the Chicago sewer machine, and doesn’t want that brand of “leadership” imposed on a national scale.
(I spent a significant time as a Philadelphia resident, and even in that city’s debased political circus, no one ever relieved themselves while filibustering.)

I am sorry Ms. Valsthewoman. But after clicking on your link, I realized the question asked wasnt about slave reparations, but about an apology by the US goverment towards Native Americans. As a matter of fact, the topic of slave reparations never came up.
Senator Obama also spoke about the need to ensure that Native American children have access to quality schools and equal opportunities, despite living on reservations. I never heard him say anything about reparations, even though considering the horrors Native Americans been through since the first Eastern European settlers set foot on North America, it is somewhat a understandable request.
Ms. Valsthewoman I know you are not going to vote for Senator Obama, that is fine, I was upset too when Senator Clinton lost (volunteered for her campaign here in SC during primaries). But as an African American it is very, very offensive to see a person, black or white, to use race as a way to stir up a unobjectable persons emotion.
I got over the lost, sat down and listened to Senator Obama. I decided to vote for him in the general election (despite living in a strong McCain state of SC). Not because of Senator Obamas race, it is because he stands for the same priniciples that Senator Clinton stands for. Ms. Valsthewoman I just wanted you to know that the information you are passing off is offensive to African Americans. I care less what you think about Obama.
As a person who served his country for 6 years (thanks Iraq and Afganistan for the extra 2!!!), and is now serving my community as a police officer for the past 4 years, I personally know of very few fellow blacks who want free hand outs.
When my slave-owning ancestor freed his TWO slaves and their families (he was actually feeding, clothing, doctoring and educating NINE people in the families of these two slaves) and settled upon them plots of arable land WITH CROPS ALREADY THEM of five acres each, me and Black America broke even.
And, BTW, that was even before Massuh Lincoln was elected, and a long m********ing time before the Emancipation Proclamation, which freed slaves in a country of which Lincoln was NOT president.
While you’re checking the veracity of this claim, also look up and see how many states of the UNION (not the Confederacy) banned slavery AFTER the Emancipation Proclamation, which didn’t apply to them when issued.
Like Maryland.
