Tonight on NoQuarterRadio: Back-to-back shows with our two hottest new radio hosts

The Nocturnal Warrior

We’re kicking it into high gear! Join us tonight on NQR for two hours of fantastic talk radio with our two hottest new hosts.

First up at 9pm ET/6pm PT: the debut on NQR of the Nocturnal Warrior, a veteran broadcaster whose nationally-syndicated radio show was the talk of Washington in the 90s.

In 1992, Bill and Hillary Clinton rode into Washington D.C. and the Nocturnal Warrior took to the air. Every weeknight the Warrior’s overnight show was home for the Washington that never slept: it was sports, it was entertainment, it was politics, it was life. The show became nationally syndicated and grew in popularity, and then, just like that, it was gone.

The Warrior took his act to Florida and vowed to leave the world of Washington behind. But he’s mad as hell and he’s not going to take it anymore. “I’ve been playing in the sports sandbox for way too long and it’s time to get into the real mud,” he says. “I learned a thing or two about dealing with racial polarization while covering sports, and now I’m watching the political news media get caught in the same trap.”

And so he’s back, with a new weekly show on NQR: The Nocturnal Warrior, 9pm ET every Tuesday night.

For his first show the Warrior’s guest will be Atlanta-based broadcast consultant Pam Rahal. Pam has worked in a number of newsrooms and coached some of the biggest names in talk radio. After Katrina she was hired by Clear Channel to go into New Orleans and keep their radio stations on the air, a heroic and difficult effort on her part. As the Warrior says, “It was a heck of a lot harder than standing around in hip waders like Anderson Cooper, and far more important, since radio was the only way folks in New Orleans could get information in the aftermath of the storm.”

Pam is also a dyed-in-the-wool Hillary supporter who has become absolutely livid over the coverage of this race. She and the Warrior will have lots to talk about.

Tune in to NoQuarterRadio (NQR) tonight at 9pm ET/6pm PT for the debut of The Nocturnal Warrior, and join the battle! The call-in number is (347) 677-0792.

Hour of Power

Then at 10pm ET/7pm PT: the second edition of Hour of Power with DCMediagirl, our weekly show that turns a critical eye on the media coverage of Barack Obama and the Presidential race. You have read DCMediaGirl’s 40-plus articles here at NoQuarter.

DCMediagirl is a Washington insider and veteran journalist with a gimlet eye for the media’s foibles. She’s spent 16 years deep within the belly of the beast as a reporter/producer for DC’s most prestigious media outlets. She’s worked in television, radio, print, and the Internet, covering politics both domestic and international. From Capitol Hill to the White House, from Oklahoma City to 9/11, campaigns to nominating conventions, Washington D.C. to Islamabad, the girl has been on the front lines - while observing and critiquing the Washington press corps in their natural habitat.

Now she’s hosting her own show on NoQuarterRadio, where her smart, sassy commentary is the perfect antidote to the mainstream kool-aid.

Tune in to NoQuarterRadio (NQR) tonight at 10pm ET/7pm PT for DCMediagirl’s Hour of Power, and get the media critique you won’t hear anywhere else. The call-in number is (347) 677-0792.

Audio archives of both shows will be available at NQR immediately following the broadcast.

Per Rasmussen - Obama’s bounce has bounced away and polling has returned to a statistical tie.

This site is carrying its members own brains. You on the other hand seem to be carrying the party line like a sheep. THINK.

Think. Dig around for information to educate yourself.
Don’t be an Obama mushroom.

I admit to being a bit confused. The text describes DCMediaGirl as having a “gimlet eye”, yet it’s clear to me from her picture that she has what I generally hear called “manga eyes.” Which is it?
