Obama loses 26 points among Catholics ATV/Zogby poll.
A July Zogby poll showed that Obama was leading among Catholics by 11 points. He is now trailing by 15.
Such a massive rejection of a Democratic nominee is striking since Catholics come from heavily Democratic regions of the country, where huge majorities of non-Christians and Protestants vote overwhelmingly Democratic, and both traditional news outlets and political infrastructures are far to the left. (Catholics are the quintessential “Reagan Democrats.”)
Obama has lost ground among some of his strongest bases of support, including young people, women, Democrats and independents, according to a new ATV/Zogby poll.
The Illinois Democrat has also lost some support among African-Americans and Hispanics, where his lead over Republican John McCain has shrunk, and among Catholics, where he’s lost his lead.
Here’s somthing you might like to mention on the show. Obama collected $5mill at his Birthday bash in Boston. With gold running at $900 an OZ that works out as the equivalent of 347 pounds of gold. Which is around TWICE his weight in gold. This is enough to make even the Aga Kahan blush - he only demanded his weight in gold.

My favorite line in Gerard Barker’s brilliant Obama Messiah satire:
And working class Asians and working class Latinos and even a few working class African Americans, who bravely absorbed the scorn of fellow African American voters.
Its amazing to me that the Princess Obambi/DNC political/industrial complex actually believes (there’s that word again!) that they can get this supremely unqualified candidate elected based on imagery and presidential looking photo-ops. Opinions are hardening against him at a very early point. This nomination process must be stopped and Hillary allowed a competitive shot at it. If that actually happened and she lost, then only then would he generate some real widespread support. But his camp is so gripped with fear at that thought they’re doing all they can to not allow it.
If Obama caved so easily to oil drilling, he would cave to party pressure if they just dared to apply it. It has to start with some African-Americans. Or it has to start with someone who turned on Hillary to support Obama. Ted Kennedy - repent now. Lead the way out of this nightmare.
That column is something else, this passage particularly revealing:
Somebody from the blue-blood skirt-chasing Kennedy administration saying that white-trash skirt-chasing Clinton has turned the town into sleaze and dirt. Translation: it’s not the skirt-chasing. It’s that the Clintons are hicks. Hicks. I love those two hicks. The people of American love those hicks. African Americans (at one time, and will once again) love those hicks like they loved no other first couple.
Hillary and I may have been BORN Yankees but we grew UP in the South.

Obama’s new BarackBook “friends”
A week ago, RBO wrote about the GOP’s BarackBook, a takeoff on the Obama campaign’s pages at the popular online social gathering site FaceBook.
Well, it seems that some more Obama “Friends” have signed up:
• Illinois State Senator and Obama’s “Political Godfather”, Emil Jones.
• Obama bundler ($200,000+) Jim Johnson, former member of Obama’s VP vetting team before his Countrywide home mortgage connections caused him to drop out.
• Former Obama neighbor and pro-Palestinian Columbia University professor, Rashid Khalidi.
• An unnamed financial adviser, the UBS Broker who, in 2005, was recommended by wealthy contributor George W. Haywood when Obama decided to set up a blind trust for his investment portfolio.
By way of a personal note to his BarackBook “Friends”, Obama wrote “Barack is wishing Speaker Pelosi a good vacation while gas prices remain high
