I love this show. I learn so much from these two. And Nail ‘Em Up is a riot.

And thankfully we have no technical problems, unlike last night.

President Saakashvili visits joint military exercise in Vaziani

July 21 President Saakashvili visited Immediate Response 08 at Vaziani base to see firsthand the training exercises underway involving soldiers from the US, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and the Ukraine. Immediate Response 08 has been planned since 2006 and is training troops in the spirit of the Partnership for Peace.

Joint training is how we will respond to future terror threats. Russia decided to show us who calls the shots in the Caspains. This attack on a country we joint trained alongside is a shot across the bow.

Why Georgia?

Could be they host large numbers of Chechen refugees.

IMO Putin suspects this place of being a staging ground, the secession of a provience filled with people asserting Russian citizenship is just giving him a chance to weigh rule over the oil artery to the EU.

Putin’s government made such claims prior:

Moscow says the Chechen guerrillas use remote border areas of Georgia as a staging ground for their fight in the name of ending Moscow’s rule over the north Caucasus region.

Colin Powell was the acting Secretary at the time, Boucher handled the press statement.

This could be Vlad’s way of marking his turf.

It’s all about the oil, but when blood and oil mix it can really ignite.

If the Russians are dumb enough to take armor into those hills, and with the availability of stingers up the wazoo to the Georgians and possible Chechen rebels hiding there, then the lessons they thought they learned in Afghanistan were for nothing. Stingers mean no air superiority.
No air superiority means no support for armor which means no support for infantry which means no occupation of territory which means, Damn those Russians are dumb!
I hope they troll here too so they’ll pick up this tidbit.
