Oh, Hillary…

It just pains me that you have to go out campaigning for Obama while he and his family dig around in Hawaii and try to find a birth certificate that dosn’t look forged - um - I mean, get some much deserved rest (I know - I could barely type that out without cracking up myself. It’s HARD to be the Messiah, you know?!?)?

After all the DNC and Obama have done to you, it just makes me ill. I know you’re between a rock and a hard place - one the DNC and Barry put you between. I know it, I see it, but holy cow, he should be stumping for YOU! But there you go with your most awesome self, talking to the people, showing them how wonderful you are, how brilliant, how thoughtful and possible your policies are, especially now, with Georgia and Russia fighting, with tensions mounting in the Middle East, with that 3:00 a.m. call coming for real…

Wait a second. Now, just hold on - this is freakin’ BRILLIANT!!!!!! Yes, by all means, Obama, you just go away for a respite, and let HILLARY go around the country talking to the people - BEFORE THE CONVENTION HAS HAPPENED!!!

Abso-freakin’-lutely, you just run along, and let the GROWN UP do the talking.

People will be reminded of what a far superior candidate SHE is, and what a slouch YOU are, especially in the answering questions department, or talking department, or policy department…By all means - take all the time you want! Aloha!!

Come to think of it, as Diamond Tiger wrote in an awesome post yesterday, if Obama now wants to have all of the delegates restored, that would make the difference between the two only 59 delegates (nod to Marc Rubin for writing about that! FIFTY-NINE!!! That is statistically insignificant. It is statically MEANINGLESS. So, if the delegates are restored, as they SHOULD be anyway in a DEMOCRATIC manner (both small and Big “D” way), Obama should not be the presumed candidate. It’s basically a TIE, people.

And by “People”, I mean YOU, Super Delegates! Stop this foolishness already. Stop pushing this guy who is more secretive than DUBYA!! A guy who refuses to even present his REAL birth certificate! Who will not allow ANY of his records, college or grad school, to be released! The guy who has the same attitude problems toward the media that Bush has? Who cannot come up with his own policies?? Are you KIDDING me?? When Hillary Clinton goes out on the road soon, LISTEN. WATCH. THAT is a real leader. And a real leader is just what we need in these times. So stop messing around, forget about who gave you more money - pay attention. And cast your SD vote for the BEST candidate, not the hand-picked candidate. Do it for your country.

Here’s another action for you, again, courtesy of the amazing GeekLove on Donna Brazile, Obama’s puppeteer:

Did you know it is a felony to provide false info on an election form in the commonwealth of Virginia?

VA STATUTE § 24.2-1016. False statements; penalties.

Any willfully false material statement or entry made by any person in any statement, form, or report required by this title shall constitute the crime of election fraud and be punishable as a Class 5 felony. Any preprinted statement, form, or report shall include a statement of such unlawful conduct and the penalty provided in this section.

If Barry did not use his legal name when he signed the election forms . . .

like it is ALL their fault already and it’s THEM trying to hog the spot light!

wtf the Clinton haters (and women haters) will NEVER let go of that idea

Rev. Amy -

THANK YOU! for the wonderful REv. James David Manning “Hillary say no to VP video”!

What a great, funny logical man he is. Okay, a bit off the cuff, but this man at least hasn’t been drinking koolaid on the pulpit. And no gyrations on his pulpit like Rev. Uncle Jeremiah.

His video is also hilarious! I listened to what he had to say….he’s prophetic!

I was with a friend a few days ago who always votes Republican, and she caught sight of Hillary on TV and nodded approvingly. She then made a comment about how she thinks Hillary may yet “rise”–it was clear that she is rooting for her to take it away from Obama, and this is a woman who previously had nothing good to say about the Clintons.

I was in two bookstores over the weekend, and the anti-Barry books were on prominent display in both of them. Is it true they are selling well? Let’s hope it’s on-the-fencers who are deciding to educate themselves.

I see that as inevitable. If Hillary comes back, there isn’t anything to use against her except innuendo and the sexism card. We just have to keep calling out every low trick and pushing back. But at least it would be politics as usual instead of the Manchurian candidate.

Hillary is clearly walking a very fine line. Cementing herself with party loyalists. Attempting to endear herself with rabid Obots. All without alienating her base. You can tell by the tone of comments, she is getting dangerously close to losing some of her supporters over her campaigning for Oblow. I just can’t imagine a Clinton jeopardizing their base of support. No way. That’s political suicide. There is a game plan here, she would not risk her popular support. Her and Bill are playing a chess game.

Good health to you Rev.Amy!
We know that Senator Clinton will land on her feet, regardless of what happens!
She has already shown herself to be superior in every way to the “O”!
Even her Republican enemies recognize that!
WE are the ones being shafted now, and the country has lost so much, at a time when we are facing tough, perilous battles!

Comment by C.S. | 2008-08-10 10:51:04

If they somehow manage to cheat her out of her destiny, then we are certainly going to need her in the Senate. Hopefully she will be able to continue to forcefully speak out against the bad decisions made by the Republicans or Obama because we will need a champion more than ever. With the betrayal of the Democratic party who refused to hold the Bush administration accountable no matter who wins it looks like more of the same unless we can force her presidential nomination.

The great work being done by the members of the Democratic party who refused to fall in line proves that there is a big difference between the political mentality that gave Obama votes to give him the nomination and those who fight on, though the battle looks lost, to take it back.

Senator Clinton is and was so much the better choice for democratic nominee that, frankly, they’re not even in the same ballpark. Right now what we are seeing is merely the fact that as one of the top-ranking Democrats, Senator Clinton must tow the party line, or frankly her political career will be over. She is biting her tongue and going out on the campaign trail and doing what she must do according to the expectations–and frankly coercions–of the democratic establishment.

For a long time I thought I would vote for Obama if Senator Clinton is the VP. But now I have changed my mind. As much as it would pain me to vote for a democratic ticket that included Senator Clinton as VP, I could not in good conscience do so. Obama is simply too deeply flawed to ever bring myself to vote for him. I don’t know how the Democratic Party arrived at this sad state of affairs. Well I sort of do, but it’s too painful to even articulate the reasons.

We need Barack in the WH, after all his life and contributions are unique:

He is a product of the Kennedy Airlift, opps no he isn’t.

He is a product of Selma, opps no he isn’t.

He was raised by a single mother, opps no he wasn’t.

He had passed nuclear legislation to protect everyone, opps no he didn’t.

He has travelled the country extensively, to all 57 States, opps there aren’t 57 states.

He heads the Senate Banking commitee, opps he isn’t even on it.

He is a fine American, opps all we have is a fraudulant COLB.

Shit will someone get me something real on this guy!

I think if Hillary is named the VP candidate, it will be an indication that Obama lost a major power struggle. There is no way that he would want to be associated with Hillary..the contrast in competance would be too great. I think that Hill out campaigning, staying in the news is a Bill strategy, looking forward to 2012.

Comment by d2d | 2008-08-10 10:52:46

Putting Hillary in the spotlight for the next week is brilliant. She does have to play party politics; however, there may be another more subtle reason she is carrying the water for the DNC this week.

Here is my working theory - given all of the information that is slowly dripping out about the fraud who goes by the name Barak Obama Jr. aka Barry Soetoro; given the fact that the convention is less than three weeks away; given the fact that PUMAs are hard at work to ensure her name is placed in nomination; given the fact that instead of polling ahead of McCain the fraud is barely breaking even; I posit the simple fact that the DNC and its donors know this fraud is going to be outed and soon AND that they have no other choice but to re introduce, so to speak, Hillary - who will be the nominee, back into the spotlight. She MUST rise above the fray and LEAD!!! By doing this, she will demonstrate through her actions that SHE IS the REAL DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTIAL nominee who is the only one who can bring all of the “Ds” back into the party fold and win the White House in November.

Any thoughts?

(maybe that has been the case all along? and the Leaf eating DEMS are just now waking up?)

at any rate I hope not

That was my theory too. I know that a lot of people want politicians to be obviously umm… can’t say black and white on the issues… what else..they want politicians to never change from their first stated position. Which is malarky in itself, those who don’t adapt, die. But Hillary is marketing herself. She isn’t abandoning us, she’s staying in front of us. And the VP possibilities that bailed could actually be on her side, also playing along with the farce and bailing so there is no other choice but her.

I trust Hillary with all my heart.

Her true colors show. She is doing what she must do. They’re not trying to throw her under the bus, but, trying to run her down with that Yellow Bird.

She is remarkable and I am proud to have lived in and have been a part of her generation.

My heart swells.

The Dems have a chance to be incredibly brilliant or incredibly stupid at the convention:

Brilliant:

Nominate Hillary Clinton, thus by-passing the entire summer of negative attacks by the the Repubs and giving the GOP, McCain, PACs and 527’s, etc. only two months to campaign against Hillary.

Stupid:

Nominate Barack Obama. Enough said.

d2d-
That sounds reasonable to me. I’ve had the very strong psychic feeling all along that Barky would self-destruct. Maybe some of y’all don’t believe in that stuff, but it has been a part of my whole life. My mom was Welsh, so that’s probably where it comes from. However, I continue to have the feeling and I continue to visualize Hillary coming out as POTUS, but have no idea how that will happen. While visualizing, though, I also work to make it happen- as PUMA may be the mechanism that actually leads to BO’s downfall. I’m actually feeling hopeful.

keep on visualizing Brodie. whatever it takes. my thing is to simply state Hillary will be the nominee. i pay little attention to the other part of the D party who drank the kool aid long ago.
