An Act of God?

All of Colorado is preparing itself for the Democratic National Convention. Denver is already filling up with anxious participants.  The Secret Service is said to be camped out on downtown rooftops.

Some Hillary supporters are arriving in hopes of seeing her name on the ballot, in one form or another. Other people, including the Just Say No Deal/Pumas, and other former Hillary supporters, are coming to protest the corruption we all witnessed at the top of the Democratic Party. Tensions are running high, and groups opposing the takeover of the Party are gearing up to make our voices heard, especially PUMAPAC and The Denver Group

Of course, supporters of the presumptuous nominee are arriving with their “Denver or Bust” bumper stickers. And there’s a report today in the Denver Post that tickets to the coronation are being sold for over three grand.

As registration for free tickets available to see Sen. Barack Obama at Invesco Field at Mile High ends today, a pair of tickets are going for $3,650 at an online ticket-auction site, reports Chuck Plunkett.”There are another four days to go on the auction, and I expect to see people bid it up at the end,” Eric Baker, chief executive of the auction site, Viagogo, said Monday.

“It’s hard to imagine a political candidate generating that sort of excitement,” Baker said. “Never would it have occurred to me that a political speech would have a secondary market.”

But Focus on the Family, the evangelical group based in Colorado Springs, is hoping to disrupt the Reichsparteitag at Invesco Field with the help of a “higher power.” The Denver Channel describes the video::

Focus on the Family Action has pulled a video from its Web site that had asked people to pray for “rain of biblical proportions” during Sen. Barack Obama’s acceptance speech at Invesco Field on Aug. 28.

While the video has been pulled from their website due to protests it’s available on YouTube, and below, for your viewing pleasure. Politics does indeed make for strange bedfellows. Let it rain!

Did you know that Hillary Clinton warned about Russia attacking Georgia in 2002 in her floor ,a. href=”http://clinton.senate.gov/speeches/iraq_101002.html>speech about the resolution to use force against Iraq?

” If we were to attack Iraq now, alone or with few allies, it would set a precedent that could come back to haunt us. In recent days, Russia has talked of an invasion of Georgia to attack Chechen rebels. India has mentioned the possibility of a pre-emptive strike on Pakistan. And what if China were to perceive a threat from Taiwan?

So Mr. President, for all its appeal, a unilateral attack, while it cannot be ruled out, on the present facts is not a good option. ”

Now I don’t know about you. But that is supurb judgement in my case. The authors may want to do a story on that.

‘Gitmo On The Platte’ Set As Holding Cell For DNC
Written By Rick Sallinger

DENVER (CBS4) ― CBS4 News has learned if mass arrests happen at the Democratic Convention, those taken into custody will be jailed in a warehouse owned by the City of Denver. Investigator Rick Sallinger discovered the location and managed to get inside for a look.

The newly created lockup is on the northeast side of Denver.

Inside are dozens are metal cages. They are made out of chain link fence material and topped by rolls of barbed wire.

“This is a secured environment,” Capt. Frank Gale of the Denver Sheriff’s Department told CBS4. “We’re concerned about how that’s going to be utilized by people who will be potentially disruptive.”

It wouldn’t have mattered. The dates for the convention was announced in Jan. 07 and the fix was in to nominate a Black man on the anniversary of MLK, Jr’s “I have a dream” speech.

When and if the Fraudulent Democratic Party completes its coup in Denver, the force of the unifying resistance to Barack Obama is going to be overwhelming.

The rubber band is about to snap and people have taken all they are going to take.

Comment by Betty | 2008-08-12 21:27:40

I have had it now, don’t have to wait for Denver.

This morning when I read that Governor Ed Rendell was sending out strong arm emails in an attempt to thwart the will of over 50% the democratic rank and file did it for me.

The Democratic Party belongs to them not us, that much is clear. For years I have never been able to have any impact on any of my Representatives, even when I ganged up with thousands of others. It was so baffling, but know I know why, they were waiting for Gov. Rendell and his elk to tell them what to do. I am sick of it.

They sold us a bill for sure. Vote Democrat because we fight for the common good, the lousy Republicans are selfish and won’t give up a penny for the their fellow citizens. Then the filthy democratic crooks form groups like the Chicago Combine to intercept tax payer money earmarked for the common good.

They are nothing but a bunch of no good, lousy, crooks and I am sorry to see Gov. Rendell is one of them.

It is over for me, I want a National Puma Party, and if Hillary doesn’t want to be our candidate, that is fine. For me, this isn’t about Hillary any more.

The four-term senator and Vietnam veteran is being challenged in the September 16 primary by Massachusetts lawyer Ed O’Reilly.

Most recently, O’Reilly has challenged Kerry to a debate before their fall face-off.

Some critics say Kerry could face a more challenging re-election because of the decision to endorse Sen. Barack Obama for president over Sen. Hillary Clinton, who won his state’s Super Tuesday primary with 56 percent of the vote.

No, Kerry was very popular among the party rank and file, with approval ratings of over 80%. Maybe you didn’t like him very much, but if so your view was a minority among the party electorate.

Comment by Disgusted | 2008-08-12 22:31:37

Kerry was a liberal elite. Moderate dems held their noses and voted for him. If he was so great how did he lose? After 4 years of Bush he should have been a shoe in. Yet he lost. Besides where did 80% come from? Polls ? I have been a DEM for 25 years and no one has ever asked me. I know many dems and no one has ever asked them. Polls are worthless. Did they ask you if you approved of Kerry? I don’t want to know your answer, just if you were asked.

Obama Leads McCain Among Christians

A new Barna Group poll finds Sen. Barack Obama maintains a nine point lead over Sen. John McCain among Christians, 43% to 34%.

Key finding: “Of the 18 faith groups identified in the polls, McCain is only leading among evangelicals and it’s a narrow lead. Obama leads among the other 17 faith groups identified including the born again vote. Barna notes that would mark the first time in more than two decades that the born again vote has swung toward the Democratic candidate.

Comment by HARP | 2008-08-12 21:16:42

Just like a Troll. Only using part of the poll. right debbie. Here is the rest of the poll she left out.

August 11, 2008

(Ventura, California) - A new nationwide survey of people’s candidate preference conducted by The Barna Group some movement over the past two months, with Sen. Obama maintaining a substantial 43% to 34% lead among those who are likely to vote in November, with 5% selecting minor party candidates. That lead is a decline for Sen. Obama’s since early June, when he led his Republican rival 50% to 35% among likely voters. In the past two months, more voters have gravitated to third-party candidates (5%) and a higher proportion is now undecided (up from 15% to 21%).

Sen. McCain has struggled to ignite widespread interest in his candidacy, as evidenced by the fact that a majority of just three out of the sixty voter segments studied would vote for him if the election were held today. In startling contrast, a majority of the likely voters from 16 voter segments would back Sen. Barack Obama. Among the segments in which neither candidate has majority support, Sen. Obama leads among 35 of those groups while Sen. McCain leads among only three.

The bright spots for Sen. McCain in the latest results are the support from evangelicals (among whom he holds a 61%-17% lead), the notable shift away from Sen. Obama among several key faith communities, and the increased share of undecided voters since the beginning of June. However, at this stage most of these realignments reflect a softening of support for Sen. Obama more than a surge of allegiance to the Arizona Republican.

Comment by Zeke | 2008-08-13 00:41:05

This entire Barna report fails as a statistical analysis. Without stating the actual numbers of individuals in each group, the percentages mean nothing.
How many Evangelicals?
How many of anyone?
If a thousand are surveyed and 65% are Evangelicals,
and then 61% of them are for McCain, then…
Hell, these are story questions from highschool.
My point is that anyone can lie but to do it right, ya’ need Statistics!

Comment by heather | 2008-08-12 22:28:03

Debbie, this is easily explained with one word: race. I would like to know the racial composition of the people asked this question.

Yes I know it is a painful subject, but since no other survey in the universe is showing Obama leading McCain by 9 points, one really has to wonder how one can get a 9-point lead among conservative voters (which typically Christians are) unless it is skewed toward African-American christians.

Comment by no waffles aka drkate | 2008-08-12 22:55:38

Comment by Peggy Sue | 2008-08-13 00:10:32

On the other hand:

“However, while there has been little movement since the beginning of June among most voting segments (such as ethnic groups, age groups, or geographic slices), there has been substantial churn among religious segments. During the past two months, Sen. Obama’s lead has eroded substantially among non-evangelical born again Christians (a decline of nine points); active Christians (a 20-point drop); Protestants (down 13 points); and Catholics (down 11 points).”

You left the second part out. Wonder why?

I have received some questions from my friends on where I get my information from to know that Sen. Obama is no good. A source? Ha ha….The guy alone is my source. His inconsistencies, arrogance, and inexperience are enough for me to know he is not made for POTUS.

That said, I think we, PUMAs, are all on board with why Obama should not become president. In fact, we probably know more than other people who are fine with the MSM’s gracious coverage of Obama’s campaign. However, when trying to convince our friends, coworkers, and maybe even family members on why Obama is no good, a book that has exhaustively documented Obama’s inadequacies is nice to recommend to these people. The point of this update is to inform all of you on a new book that was brought to my attention. The book has been recently published and documents what makes Obama wrong for the Oval Office. It is composed by a couple of guys from the younger generation, which is pretty interesting considering a lot of the Obambi hype seems to reside with the younger generation. I think I have said enough; here is the site for the book: http://whoistherealbarackobama.com

The intent of the video said its producer,” was light hearted fun.” No humor in these folks I guess.

I gotta say, I think “praying for rain” is sick.

I’d rather just let it be. Let him have a phony show if that’s what he wants, with only “certain Democrats” allowed in.

This is just a stupid ad. If I didn’t think they weren’t all that intemperate, I’d swear that Team Obama came up with this, funded it, and then feigned outrage–so they could point and cry and toss that race card.

George Barna, who owns the organization, is a Fundamentalist Xian himself…

Xian
A shortened version of “Christian”, with the X used in place of “Christ” (as the Greek word christos, meaning “messiah”, begins with the letter chi, written χ). “Xian” and “Xianity” are occasionally used by Jews out of reluctance to indicate a particular figure as the Messiah, and sometimes by Christians themselves for other reasons

“debbie” is quoting a poll conducted by a person that caused even “Richard Viguerie to announce that the Xians might as well give up”….in support of a “liberal democrat”…

Good idea the DNC could save money on the fireworks show then!

Off the topic, but the depraved ghoul Pelosi was viciously confronted by peace activist Peter Thottam yesterday for refusing to go forward with the impeachment of Bush. He was arrested…

Pelosi is going down! She is hated from all sides, and now even Focus on the Family! LOL! I hope it rains buckets.

Amazon has Pelosi’s new book at 2,696 in book sales — hardly a runaway Best Seller. Seems like bad timing for her to bring out a Women’s Power book after dissing Hillary like she did. She has gone on my “change the channel” list — can’t stand to look at her any more.

NOTE: The 120 reviews on Amazon are either 5 star or 1 star (nothing in between). I’m assuming that many of the reviewers (either Republicans or PUMAs) just don’t like her.

Cindy will giver her a run for her money. I hope she takes her seat. This woman wants to be head B and could care less what the people of this country want.
I cant believe A almost wrote a paper on her as one of the most admired women of our time. Never got it done. Must have been an omen!

Oh yeah, I forgot a link to the Pelosi story

http://www.peacechicken.com/2008/08/13/impeachment-activist-arrested-after-confronting-pelosi/

Poor peace activists, my heart goes out to men like Peter. He deliberately got arrested at the Pelosi book signing just to try and get some press for the impeachment of Bush.

He got in some nasty words for Pelosi, though:

“I am going to vomit. Who gave you the right to destroy the Constitution and take Impeachment off the table? Our first, second, fourth, fifth and eight Constitutional amendments are being annihilated. 1 million Iraqis are dead. 5,000 Americans including Cindy Sheehan’s son. We’ve spent over 1 trillion taxpayer dollars on a war that should never have been started. Our constitution is being destroyed, Nancy. Bring back our Constitution… Bring it back (being dragged out of the room)…”

He guess he didn’t have the chance to say anything about her corrupt selection of BO over the most qualified candidate, Hill. No doubt they aren’t all PUMA, but I’ll take the help. Focus on the Family is free to pray for rain, too. Fine with me.

Code pink hates Pelosi too..

This comment is particularly for Danny who commented that Obama’s policy against gay marriage being a deal breaker for him. Beyond the gay marriage issue. The DNC has now removed gay/lesbian/Transgender rights from the civil rights issues in the Party Platform. This is appeasement to Donna Brazille and the black churches where Obama began his campaign. That was called The Gospel Tour, featuring ex-gay, Donnie McClurkin preaching and “testifying how Jesus saved him from homos. How anyone in the gay community can support the Democrats this year is beyond me. The talked about abolishing DADT, but civil rights aren’t important this year as we all saw with the passage of FISA Immunity.

People who applied for “free” tickets to watch The One get anointed are being told that they must prove their devotion by volunteering 6 hours of their time to the campaign. Sort of like the caucuses, this will keeps out the riff raff, the people who work for a living, mothers, disabled folks, the elderly… In other words only the most devoted will be at Invesco Field to witness the holy event!

Its just like the elite! You want to come to my party, you will have to work for your right to be here. Now get over here and scrub these chairs. We would not want the chosen one to sit on a dirty throne. After your done here you can start on the privys. If you finish all your work then you can attend the ball.

Well I guess this is where the ‘ol”The enemy of my enemy is my friend.” quote comes in handy. I don’t agree with everything he said but rain would be good. Unless Hillary somehow gets the nomination. Then it would be bad. Funny!

LET IT RAIN!! One of those gropple/sleet /hail mixed thunder boomers that we have only here in the Rockies. Lots of wind too so we make sure everyone is knocked off their feet. I wish no harm to anyone but it would be simple justice. Then again his supporters would probably justify it to be Gods way of showing his approval for BO. Or they may even say BO caused it to happen himself. YES I know I am stretching it here a litte, but his demand for service to his compaign and the arrogance of a $3500 ticket seems more like a cult mentality. I wonder what they will do with all that money? BO will change this county, but it will not be the change he has been promising in his campaign. As many of us have said his change is very scary.

I guess I will just sit here in my small but comfortable typical white person trailer and dream about what it would be like to be showered with his presence. NOT!! I am sure there will be a good episode of Bonanza on. I’d rater watch that.
