Okay - what did you see? As promised, Hillary Clinton will be speaking - among 274 other people. Okay - not really that many, but now she is one of TEN - 10 - speakers. Oh, yes - all kinds of people are thrown in there. I guess this way, they can try and (micro)manage her impact on the Convention crowd. But get THIS: SHE is not the Keynote Speaker. Oh, no - that honor goes to FORMER Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia, Mark Warner. Who, you say?? Yeah. See, I know him because I lived in Virginia when he was governor. But really - seriously - honestly - out of ALL the people Obama could have picked (and HE is the one who sets the schedule), he picked Mark Warner. Yep.
Oh, but wait. It gets even better than this. The candidate Planned Parenthood and NARAL picked, Planned Parenthood for the second time EVER with a presidential candidate, that one? Barack Obama? Guess who he picked to speak that night? Bob Casey of Pennsylvania. No, I am not kidding! He DID! On the anniversary of Women’s Suffrage, not only did he not pick a WOMAN for Keynote Speaker, but he picked an ANTI-CHOICE Senator to speak on the anniversary of Women’s Suffrage!! Can you just IMAGINE - just IMAGINE, the hew and cry if it was ANY OTHER MAJOR GROUP, and someone who was opposed to their ability to CHOOSE their own course in life, was picked to speak?? You know people would be going NUTS. Rightly so. What a slap in the face.
And if this is not enough to get your blood boiling (just consider this a cardiovascular workout, courtesy of Barack Obama - he’s such a giver), there are only FIVE - 5 - speakers on Monday night, August 25th. No, I am not kidding. Senator Clinton gets squeezed like a lemon, but MICHELLE OBAMA will kick everything off, being introduced by her BROTHER. And Obama’s sister, the one who has his same BIRTH CERTIFICATE NAME, Soetoro, will be there, too. So, it’s Family Night at the DNC Convention. Oh, and Claire McCaskill and Nancy Pelosi will round out that evening. I am sure you are ALL dying to see THAT. Hahahahaha!!!! Yeah, me neither.
So, here it is - a BIG F-U to women in general, and Hillary in particular, courtesy of Barack Obama, the Big Uniter. Oh, he’s a uniter alright - uniting us in hatred of him and the DNC. And the DNC bears HUGE responsibility for not just shoring up, but PICKING the most unqualified, inexperienced, arrogant, narcissisitc, sexist candidate I have seen in my entire life. The one who, having mostly his family speak on August 25th, has almost completed the DNC becoming the BOC. Yes, the transformation is almost complete. Thanks, Howard, Nancy, Donna, Ted, John, John, Claire, et. al., for propping up the worst candidate EVER. And for stabbing in the back one of the BEST candidates ever, while also twisting the blade in for all women. That takes some doing, but somehow you managed it. Short answer, YES. SOME of the women in television news are qualified, as are SOME of the men. More so in the 70’s and 80’s than now. Sadly most of the reporters now in TV news went into the field in the hopes that they will make a financial or social killing by meeting and marrying someone rich ala Andrea Mitchell or Julie Chen.
I worked in TV news in a major west coast market for 4 years. Most of the reporter/anchors (MEN as well as women) are simply news READERS, they are NOT journalists. They don’t go out and investigate anything. They don’t write anything. Most of their stories are taken directly from Reuters or the AP with a little editing here and there to suit their style. Nothing is edited for accuracy or fact checked.
As for reporting, they simply show up at a scene and get reaction. “Reporters” spend more time on their hair and make-up than they do on a story. Of the group of male and female divas I worked with only ONE of them actually “worked” a story and bothered to check facts or do any background research - and she was the health reporter!!!
I will never forget the night our female anchor was getting ready to go on air. She used an eyelash curler and in the process pulled out some lashes. It was 5 minutes before air time and she REFUSED to go on. She actually left the building to go to Nordstrom and have false eyelashes professionally applied so she could go on at 11.
Believe anything you see and hear on TV news at your own risk.

The ads champion Texas oil billionaire T. Boone Pickens’ “Pickens Plan” to move our nation from foreign oil dependence to domestically produced wind power and natural gas fuel for automobiles. The plan is touted as a cleaner, more eco-friendly alternative to our current reliance on coal power and gasoline.
The ballot initiative is California’s Proposition 10, known as the California #HYPERLINK “http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=72225″ \l “”Renewable Energy and Clean Alternative Fuel Act, which would spend $5 billion in California bond money ($10 billion by the time the interest is paid, according to the L.A. Times) to promote natural gas as an cleaner alternative for automobile and truck fuel.
Not surprisingly, the nation’s largest provider of natural gas for transportation, Clean Energy Fuels Corporation (alternatively known as CLNE) has a great deal to gain from the adoption of Pickens’ fuel strategy and the passage of Proposition 10. In fact, according to the California Secretary of State website, CLNE has contributed $3,247,250 to supporting Proposition 10’s passage.
CLNE, however, was formerly known as Pickens Fuel after its primary investor, T. Boone Pickens.
While Pickens touts a plan in the name of environmentalism that will also line his company’s pockets, a #dontgo investigation has revealed that another environmental champion and backer of Proposition 10 has also invested in CLNE: House Speaker and California Representative Nancy Pelosi.
According to the investigation, “Nancy Pelosi Purchased between $50,000-$100,000 in CLNE #HYPERLINK “http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=72225″ \l “”stock on May 25, 2007, apparently on its initial public offering.”

In an L.A. Times editorial, Anthony Rubenstein was highly critical of Proposition 10, calling the measure billed as an environmental altruism a “raid on California’s general fund” to support “Pickens’ self-serving national gas agenda.”
“The initiative deceptively reads like it’s supporting all alternative-fuel vehicles and renewable energy sources,” Rubenstein wrote. “But a closer read finds a laundry list of cash grabs. … Much of the measure’s billions could benefit Pickens’ company to the exclusion of almost all other clean-vehicle fuels and technology.”
Rubenstein also noted that Proposition 10 charges environmentally conscious Californians with the bill for an initiative that may not benefit California at all.
“Even worse, private trucking and delivery companies could buy 5,000 natural gas trucks, collect California taxpayer-funded rebates of $200 million or more and immediately send those fleets out of state,” he wrote. “It’s like asking California voters to finance a new bridge with taxpayer dollars, without mentioning that the bridge could be in Ohio.”

If the “Pickens Plan” calling for more wind power and natural gas fuel is implemented, it will further the billionaire’s other ventures as well, including a major land and water investment in the Texas panhandle that would essentially enable Pickens’ companies to control a water pipeline the way petroleum companies control oil supplies.
The venture, according to the Terrell Tribune, includes forming a fresh water district in Texas’ western panhandle and spending over $100 million to acquire rights-of-way through as many as 12 counties to ship the water to water-needy Texas cities. Part of selling the plan to investors and thirsty municipalites, some of whom have balked at the idea of private water control, is coupling the water pipeline with power lines from Mesa Oil’s massive wind farm.
“It is hard to tell if the water scheme is the device being used to seize the land or if the wind turbine scheme is the means by which he will fund the water scheme,” wrote William R. Collier Jr. in the #dontgo investigation that uncovered the link between Pickens and Pelosi.
Collier further speculated Pelosi’s investment partnership with Pickens will profit them both.
“No matter what the case may be, Nancy Pelosi will personally profit from whatever (Pickens) does as an investor.”

Likewise, Collier pointed to potential benefits for Pickens to have Pelosi’s support, not only for the legislation CLNE wants passed, but also for her help with touting his “Pickens Plan”.
“While the stock was initially offered at $14 and is now valued below that amount, the low of $10 in early July of this year is bouncing back,” wrote Collier, “especially in light of ads by Pickens and growing consensus that the Pickens plan will gain support, especially if Pelosi is firmly behind it.”

Ladies & Gentlemen, this whole mess surrounding the state delegations from Florida and Michigan is a result of the Rules & Bylaws Committee of the Democratic National Committee not strictly adhering to the 2008 Delegate Selection Rules for the Democratic National Convention by applying the rules equally and fairly to all states.
Rule 11.A. of the Delegate Selection Rules for the 2008 Democratic National Convention states the following:
11. TIMING OF THE DELEGATE SELECTION PROCESS
A. No meetings, caucuses, conventions or primaries which constitute the first determining stage in the presidential nomination process (the date of the primary in primary states, and the date of the first tier caucus in caucus states) may be held prior to the first Tuesday in February or after the second Tuesday in June in the calendar year of the national convention. Provided, however, that the Iowa precinct caucuses may be held no earlier than 22 days before the first Tuesday in February; that the Nevada first-tier caucuses may be held no earlier than 17 days before the first Tuesday in February; that the New Hampshire primary may be held no earlier than 14 days before the first Tuesday in February; and that the South Carolina primary may be held no earlier than 7 days before the first Tuesday in February. In no instance may a state which scheduled delegate selection procedures on or between the first Tuesday in February and the second Tuesday in June 1984 move out of compliance with the provisions of this rule.
We already know that Florida and Michigan violated Rule 11.A. by moving their primaries to a date before the first Tuesday in February. There is no argument there, but what about Iowa, New Hampshire, and yes, South Carolina too.
Rule 11.A specifically set the date for the primaries & caucuses for those three states as “no earlier than 22 days before the first Tuesday in February” (Iowa), “no earlier than 14 days before the first Tuesday in February” (New Hampshire), and “no earlier than 7 days before the first Tuesday in February” (South Carolina).
Iowa held their caucuses on January 3rd. That’s more than 22 days before the first Tuesday in February. New Hampshire held their primary on January 8th. That’s more than 17 days before the first Tuesday in February. And South Carolina held their primary on January 26th. That’s more than 7 days before the first Tuesday in February.
Under Rule 11.A., five states were in violation of the Democratic National Committee’s Delegate Selection Rules, and as such, all five states should have been punished under Rule 20.C.1.a.
Violation of timing: In the event the Delegate Selection Plan of a state party provides or permits a meeting, caucus, convention or primary which constitutes the first determining stage in the presidential nominating process to be held prior to or after the dates for the state as provided in Rule 11 of these rules, or in the event a state holds such a meeting, caucus, convention or primary prior to or after such dates, the number of pledged delegates elected in each category allocated to the state pursuant to the Call for the National Convention shall be reduced by fifty (50%) percent, and the number of alternates shall also be reduced by fifty (50%) percent. In addition, none of the members of the Democratic National Committee and no other unpledged delegate allocated pursuant to Rule 8.A. from that state shall be permitted to vote as members of the state’s delegation. In determining the actual number of delegates or alternates by which the state’s delegation is to be reduced, any fraction below .5 shall be rounded down to the nearest whole number, and any fraction of .5 or greater shall be rounded up to the next nearest whole number.
Yes, you read that right; under Rule 20.C.1.a., Florida, Iowa, Michigan, New Hampshire, and South Carolina would have all lost their super delegates and had their pledged delegates reduced by half since they all violated Rule 11.A.
However, Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina weren’t punished fairly. In fact, they weren’t punished at all.
And what about Florida & Michigan?
Well, we all know what happened to them.
Instead of strictly adhering to Rule 20.C.1.a. and reducing their pledged delegates by 50%, the DNC Rules & Bylaws Committee decided to take it a step further. The DNC Rules & Bylaws Committee exercised the authority granted to them by Rules 20.C.5. and 20.C.6. which allowed them to “impose sanctions the Committee deems appropriate.” And what were those sanctions the Committee deemed appropriate? Stripping two of the largest states in the union of all their votes at the 2008 Democratic National Convention.
Ladies & Gentlemen, this is what happens when the rules aren’t applied equally and fairly. And as I said before, this mess is a result of the DNC Rules & Bylaws Committee not applying the rules equally and fairly.
So, the next time someone starts talking about the rules, might I suggest two courses of action:
1.) Read the damn rules first!

2.) Let them know that the rules were bent to allow for Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina to keep their preferred first-in-the-nation status.
