More Bursts of Insanity From Outer Blogovia
By dcmediagirl on August 21, 2008 at 9:21 AM in Current Affairs, Huffington Post, John McCain, Obama, political correctness
I heart the Internets. I’ve often said it’s the greatest invention since the telephone…and the Internet, accepting its extreme coolness with dignity and class, gives the telephone the opportunity to put its feet up and take a rest by serving as a conduit between you and your mother (e-mail cuts down on valuable nagging time), your long-lost friends (that’s what “social networking sites” are for) and helps keep your blood pressure in check by reducing the amount of time you waste standing in line at the bank and the DMV. Yes, thank the Lord for the Internets.
The Internet has also given voice to “citizen journalists”. Some are fantastic writers and dogged investigators. Others, well, not so much. The downside is that any idiot with a modem and an account can post his or her “views”, irrespective of the validity or accuracy of their “reporting”. All of which can make for good sport, sure, but I find that as I get older my patience for this sort of nonsense wanes. Particularly when it comes to politics.
Consider, if you will, this Huffington Post “column” by Rebecca Curtis.
I’m too tired to analyze all the inaccuracies and poorly arrived-at conclusions in Curtis’s screed. One part at the very beginning, however, bears mentioning since reading it accomplished the same end as a plank with nails piercing a car’s tires. If you’re going to deal the race card, might as well make it an Ace:
The Rasmussen Report and Zogby/ATV poll found that Obama’s lost major ground with women, independents, Democrats, even young voters. Polls are just that; they could change. But we might ask: why the dip? If it reflects the fact that Obama acted “uppity” and met state heads in Europe, or that McCain ran ads comparing Obama to amateur porn star Paris Hilton (implying black people are good at sex and celebrity, and not-so-good at intellectual endeavors), then perhaps race is in play after all.
Again:
McCain ran ads comparing Obama to amateur porn star Paris Hilton (implying black people are good at sex and celebrity, and not-so-good at intellectual endeavors)…
OK, so Rebecca Curtis supports Obama. Fine. That’s her choice. But let’s remember, for roughly the billionth time, that NOT ALL POLL NUMBERS INDICATING THAT OBAMA’S SUPPORT IS ERODING CAN BE ATTRIBUTED TO RACE. Some people, unlike Rebecca Curtis, see Obama not as a symbol but as a flesh-and-blood man running for the highest political office in the United States. We’ve already seen what happens when an inexperienced non-entity is elected to the Presidency and aren’t much looking forward to another go-around. We don’t believe that a candidate should be granted this office because “it’s time for America to elect a (woman, African-American, fill in the blank) for President”.
But here’s another thing. This Curtis column demonstrates how irrational and desperate Obama supporters are when it comes to any and all criticism of their man. Black people are good at sex and celebrity? What sane person would interpret the McCain ad that way? I’m guessing a person obsessed with race. It looks like she’s the one who needs help, not Obama opponents.
Intrigued by the flabby reasoning, laughable conclusions and arch, self-riteous tone of this article, I looked up her bio:
Rebecca Curtis received a B.A. from Pomona College, an M.A. in English from New York University, and an M.F.A from Syracuse University. Her first book, Twenty Grand and Other Tales of Love & Money (Harpercollins 2007) was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year, an L.A. Times Best Book of the Year, and a San Francisco Chronicle Best Book of the Year. It won the New Hampshire Literary Award for Outstanding Work of Fiction, 2006-7, and was a finalist for the Pen-Hemingway Award and the L.A. Times Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction. Curtis’ fiction and essays have appeared in The New Yorker, Harper’s, Esquire, Jane, Harper’s Bazaar, McSweeney’s, N+1, and elsewhere. Her stories have been performed by New York’s Symphony Space and Chicago’s Stories on Stage and have been anthologized in The O’Henry Prize Stories 2007. She is the recipient of a Rona Jaffe Foundation award, and a Saltonstall Grant. She has taught in the graduate and undergraduate writing programs at St. Mary’s College of California and the University of Kansas. She now teaches in the Graduate Writing Program at Columbia University and lives in Brooklyn.
Impressive qualifications, no doubt - FOR A BOOK REVIEWER OR ENGLISH PROFESSOR. But when it comes to writing about politics, maybe Rebecca Curtis should stay out of the deep end of the pool until she learns how to do something other than dog paddle.

I don’t much care how many journalist awards she’s received, that doesn’t automatically give her common sense and reason. Often times the people like her and Hollywood stars have their heads so far up in the world of make believe, they can’t tell fact from fiction. So, yes I agree, Curtis should stay away from the political fray until she learns to live in reality.
She is a fiction writer… reporting the truth does not come naturally to those who like to fantasize.
Hey! Watch it. I’m a fiction writer and I can tell the truth. The fact that Curtis writes fiction is no excuse for her idiocy.
btintaos, I did not say fiction writers couldn’t be truthful… I said it did not come naturally with their ability to fantasize. I did not mean to generalize or offend.
You are right, Curtis did expose her idiotic side and that has nothing to do with the fact that she is a decorated fiction writer…
Curtis did prove one thing with her “column”, fiction is her best venue as a writer.
She sounds like a shoo-in for a Bulwer-Lytton award.
Oh, my god. I got a dishonorable mention in that contest. Ohhh. I’m making it too easy to figure out who I am.
No, you didn’t offend. I meant for that to coma across in a much lighter tone than it did. I guess I’m a crappy writer. LOL.
HA! Not to mention a terrible typist (come, not coma).
Are you kidding? She’s the PERFECT main stream media journalist. Biased, irrational and pushing an obvious agenda. The Associated Press should hire her.
As an extra note: My wife noticed this.. Associated Press (AP) are the devil. Seriously try and find an AP article that doesn’t praise Obama every time he makes a mistake.
It was reported awhile ago that AP was bought by an Obama backer, just like GOOGLE who is also in Obama’s pocket.
http://www.seriously.angry.democrat.com
For 8 years, the media has been in Bush’s pocket - even the NYT withheld crucial info until AFTER the 2004 election.
Now the media is selling us Oblahma.
you have got to be kidding me…
did Rebecca Curtis really write that?
my god she is a moron…
i’m starting to lose my faith in humanity…
a. hillary
b. mccain
america first!
Don’t confuse “humanity” with the uber left agenda … they bear little and no resemblance.
The “uber left agenda” and perspective is all that is taught in our major colleges and universities today. Look at any catalog of classes for any non-science degree and you will be floored by the utter garbage that is being fed to our young adults. That’s why the all love Barky. He reminds them of their favorite “cool” professor.
You “uber left” trolls are BORING.
The best reason to hate Obama is that he is NOT progressive and he promoted REAGAN and dissed BILL CLINTON, our best president since FDR.
Run on back to FREE REPUBLIC with your “uber left college blah blah blah.”
The reason this poor woman wrote such tripe is that she is in an echo chamber. She was sold on a BRAND, and now the left is stuck groping for explanations to try to make excuses for Obama is not performing. They are defending the indefensible because they bought the brand and now have to contort their thinking to maintain the myth.
If Obama loses I want everyone at NO QUARTER to know I will take personal responsibility because this middle-aged (41 years old)/Korean/Russian-Jewish woman felt the only reason I could not vote for Obama was due to his RACE. Oh give me a break…..already. It’s never been about RACE for me, it’s pretty much about everything else!
As a white female Ohio voter, I will raise my hand with you in solidarity!
As an over 50, white female, and living in small town PA voter, I hold my hand up with yours. No Obama, no deal! Couldn’t care less about his race.
Obama’s race is relevant only because he makes it relevant. The rest of us couldn’t care less.
I know race doesn’t matter to me. Come November, if Hillary isn’t at the top of the Dem ticket, I’m voting for at least three African-American women (one, a Democrat, is running for the US Senate from Alabama; the other two are running for the offices of President and Vice-President of the US on the Green Party ticket).
I agree with this, of course. BHO supporters have nothing else to fight against opposition other than playing the race card. Everything about BHO says “avoid me at all costs.” The very fact that race is brought up so much makes me angry enough to NOT support anyone that uses race to gain a political position. The race card makes me think about race when I should not be having to even address the topic. This, the BHO folks are the racists along with their leader.
HEY! 41 is not middle aged! Haven’t you heard? 40 is the new 30…besides I’ll be 41 at the end of the month…sorry…I’m still trying to find out where the time went. Oh yeah, and Barky sucks.
The obamabots HAVE to find something to justify their bad choice for POTUS- god forbid they look at the DNC and corruption of Congress in general and that the O-hole is a poor candidate because too many sheeple don’t think any more. We saw it with Bush/republican supporters and now Obama/democratic supporters.
Those of us who want OUR country back put the Country first and Corrupted Political Parties in the trash can.
PUMA!
It is true, when all else fails, use the race card! It works great for Obama, and his supporters, right? The fact is they do not want to admit that, the truth is this is about Obama, not his skin. They do not seem to get it, cause they can’t see the forest for the trees…
http://nativeamericansagainstobama.wordpress.com/
Rebecca Curtis distorts the truth - just like Obama.
During the Saddleback Forum, McCain joked about “rich” meaning incomes of $5M.
The audience laughed and knew he was joking! - and his following sentence began with “seriously” - and he continued answering the question.
But Obama - bashes McCain for the $5M - even though it was a joke!
NObama!
Oh God, when will this idiocy end?
If “black people are good at sex and celebrity, and not-so-good at intellectual endeavors…” then why was Paris Hilton used as the ultimate air-head celebrity sexpot? Did I miss something or is Paris black?
And Ariana is just as bad–she allows this drivel to be put up on her web site.
anybody who believes Ariana Huffington is a true Democrat is delusional. She is Rush Limbaugh from the mirror Universe. Undermining the Democratic party by giving voice to the fruitcakes within it that want to cannibalize their own.
Irony. Awesome.
no fact…or did you miss the past 6 months where Huffington Post led the charge to disenfranchize so many voting blocks within the “OLD” democratic party.
So much of the after effects of “disenfranchisement” would have been unnecessary if everyone could have come to the table to discuss. What Kos and Huff did was exclude people — thus forcing a tangent movement. They thought they were being so damn clever. Laughs are on them.
Ariana, that AmericabLog Cabin guy, John something-or-other, and kos are all republicans,
They were put into place to be used at the right time to undermine the netroots community.
Actually, the AMERICABLOG guy is not.
He used to work for Hillary’s best friend, Madeleine Albright.
I think he was one of the ones who were bullied by the O-holes, and told that they’d shut his ass down and ruin him if he didn’t “go along with the program.”
How a screamingly out “Say It Loud” gay guy can support a fucking NITWIT who has signaled, repeatedly, that he “really does NOT mean it” when it comes to gay rights (Hellooooooo? Donnie McClurkin; Bush Pastor Kirbyjon Caldwell??? Does he need a MURAL, or what?) is beyond me. He never used to be that…INSANE. He never used to suspend judgment or be as defensive. My conclusion, therefore, is that he’s been THREATENED.
That blog is his bread and butter, after all.
LOL
dontcha know, they used Paris and Barry in the same ad to subliminally send a message that he is her pimp…Rebbecca missed that angle in her writing.
Paris’ response video proves she’d make a better Prez or running mate than Caroline “I want to be buddies with my children” Kennedy.
Speaking of her, exactly what the fuck qualifies HER to choose the VP, anyway?
She had a pony named Macaroni?
She represents an underserved minority–the extremely wealthy?
What “job” has she done that hasn’t been “dabbling,” or invented-because-I-am-who-I-am, really?
And Obama WONDERS why the “elitist” charge sticks?
He’d be better off having a garbageman, a farmer, a registered nurse, a teacher in a crappy public school, a cube rat and a small business owner pick his VP….at least THEY live in the real world.
Obama has exploited his race since he became a presidential candidate.
Every comment by an opponent can be manufactured to be “racist.”
Scary!
And as President, how many other reputations would he ruin, falsely accusing adversaries of racism???
Uh,oh. Be careful using that logic thing!
Ariana’s worse. She’s got that Huffington name because she married a rich fellow named HUFFINGTON–a rightwing Republican.
Who happened to be gay as spring, and deep in the closet.
When he came out, she went her rightwing way, and eventually came over to the other side (was it really a change of heart, or was her cachet with the right a product of her husband’s position?).
Alot of people think Ariana was always a champion of the left. No, no, no, No, NOOO!
Ariana was as vicious as Coulter
Ariana is a champion of……Ariana.
And, not that it matters, big picture, but she treated flight crew on a commercial aircraft in the fearful, post 911 days, like dogshit. That, to me, speaks to character, that you can be rude (Do ehYou know who Ah AHMMMMMMM? Yes, and we don’t CARE! Turn off that phone and sit your ASS DOWN) to flight attendants and have them have to call the cops to meet the plane when it lands because you’re too important to come out of the bathroom and get off your cell phone…eh?
I knew back in April that Hillary would get blamed, no matter what she did. We can`t have the anointed one take the blame, now can we.
They are going to blame Hillary no matter what she does.
As long as the defeat is resounding, over the next four years we can purge the chicago gestapo from the DNC and get back on track, but its going to be painful.
she is an awarded FICTION writer
what’s the problem?!
Obama`s campaign….FICTION. Sounds about right.
Just don’t say FAIRY TALE.
Wouldn’t the Bradley Effect only show up in the general election voting process? Being that it’s principle is that white voters will say that they will vote for a black candidate in polls but not in practice? The entire premise for this woman’s arguement is faulty. The obvious and much more likely conclusion is that Obama is the weaker candidate, not that much of America’s voters are racist.
Thus the “Obama Effect”-because we don’t want to vote for him, for whatever reason, we don’t tell anyone why, because we are sick of being called racist.
There was a time not too long ago that racist was a term that really had a negative connotation.
THanks to the Obama Campaign and their surrogates, racist and racism has been defanged.
Everybody who doesnt agree with them is a racist.
meh who cares.
racist shmacist.
its like arugala now…just another ingredient in the tossed salad of political mudslinging.
Sadly they have misused the word racist so much that now it means wanting the best for your country.
Most of the people who do not want backtrack barack because they want better for the country are now called racist.
Sadly racism is confused with patriotism.
COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY ALWAYS
PUMAS,BUBBAS, AND THOSE PEOPLE RULE
Racist now means “high information voter.” An AA blogger told me so.
Explosive Audio Found: Obama Arguing Against Born Alive Infant Protection Act Proves he LIED

1995 videos of The Messiah
I could only get through part of Part I. He really gets under my skin. Trying to put his grand parents down — the two people who raised him — is just beyond the pale.
you should watch part III, where he talks about “playing the race card” and inviting his grandmother:
- this “little old white lady” to his mother-in-laws house where his grandmother was “the only white person there except for [Obama's] mother and, uh,she’s feeling a little nervous and a little out-of-place” and then, when she see’s “fried chicken, succotash and, uh, a jello mold” she felt “a sense of recognition.”
At 2:50 in part III, he says Rev. Wright “is a wonderful man.”
Oh, yes, that was despicable, how his “prototypical” white “average midwestern American” grandma was so “nervous” amidst the black inlaws till she saw the fried chicken and jello.
And how he keeps missing the sexism and misogyny in his life was made apparent when he was listing racial inequities and Connie had to inject “and some of them are women…” into his list of victims.
Here is the full quote on how “wonderful” Rev, Wright is:
Connie says “wonderful man, Rev. Wright..”
and Barack stammers in response (NOTE THE DIRECT REFERENCE TO THE BLACK LIBERATION THEORY!!):
“..right, uh, who is—who is my pastor, and, uh, he is a wonderful man….in my journey to discover what my identity is…is also discovering, sort of, uh, my own faith, which–which is not, uh, necessarily a traditional faith….but, uh, uh, what becomes important to me… is to realize…the—the sense of–of-of-of LIBERATION that is embodied in the African, historically African American church, uh, is really something that—that moves me deeply and I think uh-uh is, probably the main pillar around which a lot of inner cities, uh, communities are gonna be built and Rev. Wright, uh, uh my pastor … represents the best of what the black church has to offer.”
poor thing didnt have male role models…so…grandpa was the first one tossed under the bus way back when.
I have only watched the first video so far, but I want to note that Obama fails to mention the racism that was prelevant in Hawaii was against whites. I lived in Hawaii from 1962 to 1965. I attended 6th, 7th and 8th grades there. The last day of school was called “Kill Haole Day”. (Haole = white). I was a target and harassed on many occasions. Even the teachers turned away. My best asset was the fact that I could run fast. My father talked to school officials on several occasions, but finally resorted to teaching me (I’m female) how to defend myself because white kids were being seriously injured. When I finally faced up to the “crowd” I was creamed. After getting whooped, I made many friends with the locals and lived out the rest of my time there in relative peace, but I got a clear definition of racism and I knew my place. There are many forms of racism and it does not always apply to just one race.
SCREEN SAVORER
According to several Democrat political consultants presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Barack Obama spent part of his Hawaiian vacation working on weaning himself from a heavy dependence on teleprompters. Even in what are staged as “town hall” events for Obama, remarks are scripted or formatted into bullet points that scroll on teleprompter screens. Obama has had several embarrassing events where the teleprompter either malfunctioned or the screens were not fully visible.
“He just locks down and can’t get the words out,” says one political consultant. “For such a fine speaker, it’s really quite remarkable that he’s had issues.”
Obama’s troubles with unscripted moments contributed to his campaign’s refusal to participate in town hall format debates or discussions with Sen. John McCain, who feels much more comfortable in the unscripted moments.
Duh! He is NOT a fine speaker, he is virtually a robot. Throw some static at him and he starts going in circles. Either he really always had a serious learning disability and schmoozed his way through school, or his mind has since been burned out by whatever, I can’t see him as anything but a reflection of himself and this is why he can’t stay on task in a speech about something other than his inner ruminations.
I agree Obama is not a good speaker.
Hillary is a great speaker. Just watch them side by side and there is NO comparison.
he’s not a fine speaker if he can only read from a teleprompter! HELLO!!
Yup, that would be “ACTING”.
for such a fine speaker!
Well, we KNOW advertising WORKS. Just look at the crap, such as Uncle Ben’s “converted” rice, we’ve been convinced is better than the REAL.
Where did you get that delightful morsel?
The more i read obama apologists reduce the issues this year to race, racism, and racists, the more disturbingly myopic they appear.
Its really not about race no matter how much they want the world to believe it is.
Its about handing over the reigns of the most important and influential position on the planet and by what standards you measure the man or woman who you hand them to.
For the vast majority of voters, Its not about race.
Its about Qualifications.
Its about Experience.
Its about Integrity.
Its about Honesty and Transparency.
Its about Responsibility.
Its about Judgment.
Its about America.
Its about Convictions.
Its not about race.
Stop trying to boil down every criticism of the OMessiah to some evil form of racism as a way of debunking any criticism of a flawed and frighteningly inexperienced candidate.
It’s all they’ve got, because he doesn’t have the other qualifications.
The pundits still keep asking the question “why is Obama failing to rise in the polls.” They won’t believe the truth that people just do not like him for one or more of the above reasons. He is not the best candidate. It is nothing more simple than that. Why do TV pundits fail to grasp that answer or pretend not to understand it just because they are in the tank for Obama? The rest of the public is beginning to see what he actually is.
Will the MSM get that tape of Obama arguing the infanticide issue? I sure hope so.
The real question is why they seem to want him to?
He’s the flavor of the month, and full of firsts … First black President, to do X, first black President to do Y, first black President to take a crap where LBJ used to…
It’s because he’s full of idiotic “OOOOh, look!” simplistic stories that write themselves.
And he has little kids, who are easy “color” (no pun intended) stories all by themselves–what school? What toys on the lawn? What embarrassing thing did “the ugly one” say (and I think they’re both adorable, but one of them WILL, eventually, be singled out as “the ugly one” if they stay in the limelight).
Lastly, there’s his bigmouth wife. She’s backing him on this effort, but she said it’s only going to happen ONCE. If he doesn’t make it to the show, she said that’s it. She’s not used to being muzzled, and she doesn’t look like a drinker, so eventually, as Scottie says about the Enterprise, “She’s a-gonnna BLOOOOOOOOOOW!” And the media is just waiting for that…waiting, like vultures.
It’s not quite the same with Cindy McCain. She had a fairly serious HBP stroke, her short term memory is for-shit, and she’s lost a little intellect from the event, too (not that she was ever a genius to start with). She’s also schooled enough, after being a politician’s spouse all these years, to just ZIP it, which is why we don’t hear from her too much.
The worst is they then turn around and SNEER at RANK examples of sexism and accuse Hillary of “whining” — and then try to claim Michelle is a victim!
Can you imagine if Michelle was subjected to what Hillary was?? C.U.N.T., bros before hos, bitch, taken out behind the barn, taken into a room and she doesn’t come out???
‘Iron my shirt’ ‘99 problems but a bitch ain’t one’ Shillary, billary, The Nut Cracker, Pants Suits, Cankles…damn, there were so many I’ve lost count.
People who see racism everywhere, even where it doesn’t exist, are racist. It is projection. It just emerges more when they are desperate.
The comments you read are amazing. How could Stephanie Tubbs-Jones have been a gifted student, a talented attorney, prosecutor and judicial advocate and a passionate and gifted representative and “just out of touch” with her constituents when it came to selecting a presidential candidate? This is so much more of the same horsehockey. They expected her to support 0bama because he is black and she was black. If that isn’t racism, will someone tell me what is?
Word.
I can see that. this is not the 60’s
Let the Obots blither. They’re the ones who screwed up, so we don’t have to refute their delirious views.
All criticism of Obama is racist.
You are racist.
I am racist.
We are racist.
We are the ones that we’ve beem waiting for.
Wait a minute!
There’s a disconnect in logic somewhere in there.
Call the bloggist with multiple masters degrees.
Perhaps she can find it, but only if she’s not racist, herself. But if she’s voting for Obama because he’s black, she must be a racist, too, right? Is she part of the “we” that we’ve been waiting for?
This is all too confusing for a typical white guy.
I’m just going to vote for the guy who answers “Yes” to the question, “Does evil exist?”
Obama’s support among Democrats fell 9 percentage points this month to 74 percent, while McCain has the backing of 81 percent of Republicans. Support for Obama, an Illinois senator, fell 12 percentage points among liberals, with 10 percent of liberals still undecided compared to 9 percent of conservatives.
“Conservatives were supposed to be the bigger problem for McCain,” Zogby said. “Obama still has work to do on his base. At this point McCain seems to be doing a better job with his.”
The dip in support for Obama, who would be the first black U.S. president, cut across demographic and ideological lines. He slipped among Catholics, born-again Christians, women, independents and younger voters. He retained the support of more than 90 percent of black voters.
“There were no wild swings, there isn’t one group that is radically different than last month or even two months ago. It was just a steady decline for Obama across the board,” Zogby said.
Obama’s support among voters between the ages of 18 and 29, which had been one of his strengths, slipped 12 percentage points to 52 percent. McCain, who will turn 72 next week, was winning 40 percent of younger voters.
It made little difference when independent candidate Ralph Nader and Libertarian Party candidate Bob Barr, who are both trying to add their names to state ballots.
McCain still held a 5-point edge over Obama, 44 percent to 39 percent, when all four names were included. Barr earned 3 percent and Nader 2 percent.
All of this analysis also comes on the heels of Obama’s recent political woe: abortion.
If we now add this entire issue into the mix, McCain’s social-conservative support is already rapidly increasing, while countless independents have started to move away from Obama’s candidacy. The reason for this is NOT simply because one candidate is “pro life” and the other is “pro choice”. The problematic arises because Barack Hussein Obama’s position is clearly PRO ABORTION.
those numbers also do not reflect undecideds nor people who said they would vote for Obama so to not bear the wrath of violence, intimidtion, or god forbid, be called a racist. They know they aren’t voting for him, they’ll just quietly make their choice for McCain in November.
This is funny as funny gets with the leftwing of the Dean party…. Now that they are beginning to see how ineffective Obama is and how he’s going to lose BIG… they are crying for Hillary to come and recuse hime…. ahahahahhhahahahaha…. I got to love and laugh…. Obama is going down and he’s going fast….. like shit in a toilet bowl……….. NOBAMA…
PUMA is attacked once again by The
ChicagoPolitical Machine at AOL. One “writer” is stuck on PUMA rants. “Obama Camp Warm to The New Agenda” I trust anyone who knows anything about PUMA will visit there and correct anyliesdistortionsmis conceptions that are being written.http://news.aol.com/political-machine/2008/08/21/obama-camp-warm-to-the-new-agenda/
OMG! The bot comments over there are amazing - as usual!
In the top comment (at least when I started reading), a MALE BOT, trying to sound “fair” and “intelligent” starts out by saying how much he USED TO respect and admire women - but (and get this!), the PUMA movement has caused him to COMPLETELY LOSE RESPECT FOR WOMEN! Too pathetic and too funny!
In another, what looked like (or was supposed to look like) a FEMALE BOT writes something like, “Obama supporters have always been respectful to Hillary Clinton.”
Had to stop there - sorry - just too much delusion, too many lies, too many talking points, too many bots paid to spread that weird propaganda all over the web.
OMFG!
I am sure his mother did her best but he is just too underhung and blames her and therefore all women for his inadequacy.
Firefly…kudos for even venturing over there…!
Whaddaya want? AOL is craven. They’re also GOP all the way…
They fear PUMA is interfering with the coronation of Saint Barack, which in order for their agenda to work, must precede the trouncing of him by Senator McCain. If Clinton happened to get the nod, they’d be fucked!
I really don’t think these people get it. I watched Hardball yesterday and Chuck Todd was on, and he and Matthews were lamenting the fact that the Hillary voters were not coming over for Obama.
They both felt that it was up to Hillary and Bill to make such a good case at the convention that we would all fall in line. It pretty much is all on their shoulders to bring those of us who do not support him to come around.
They seem to think that just a good speech or tongue lashing will erase the problems we really have with Obama.
Nothing the above writer or MSM can say will erase Rev. Wright. Fr Pfleger, Rezco, Ayers, not providing proof of birth or citizenship, corrupt caucuses, May 31 Rules Committee vote, Hillary winning the popular vote, not having enough experience for the job, his support of killing born alive abortions and not being able to verbalize any plan that will not put us deeper in debt than we already are to help the economy. He also scares the crap out of me when I think of him dealing with Russia and Iran.
Sorry folks, he is not my cup of tea. There is absolutely nothing they can say that will change my mind.
If he wins….Obama takes the credit.
If he loses….Hillary takes the blame.
Thats why I hate to see her ruining her chances for 2012 by supporting him.
lets not forget calling the Clinton’s racist and undermining the success of Bill’s Presidency.
I greatly admire the Clintons but I don’t care what they say or do, I am not voting for Obama.
gee, I thought all of these media people said we would lick our wounds and get over it. what happened there?? Morons, all of ‘em
And still McCain closes the gap:
Obama spent $57.2 million in July, including $33 million on advertising. McCain spent $32.4 million, with $18.7 million going for ads.
ha, I love it!! People w character, principles, integrity and a love of this country CANNOT BE BOUGHT.
