Rebecca Curtis’s article and the ensuing comments (see posting below) got me thinking. I’m a white Latina, an over-40 woman and a Jew. That makes me a quadruple threat as far as the Obama campaign and their amen corner of bounty hunters, their antennae a-quiver as they smoke out racists from every corner, are concerned. According to their rationale I’m so damn racist I need to be fitted for a hood I fit into four categories Obama is having trouble with and need to be “persuaded”. Or maybe I just need a good old-fashioned exorcism. Paging Bobby Jindal!

But seriously, you don’t win people over by insulting them. The term “racist” has lost all its meaning thanks to these clowns with their hair-trigger, hysterical reaction to those who criticize their man.

I guess we should get use to the blame/name-calling. As a HRC county delegate in TX I was accused of tearing the party apart during the Primary. Now I am a racist. Yes, I seemingly forgot what it was like to grow up in the 1970s and get tormented for having a Korean mother and Jewish father. To this day I watch people demean my own mother because of her race before she even opens her mouth. I’ve been called many negative things in my life –you would think I would be used to it by now.
I should note the documentary was about Hurricane Katrina and not the election!

I was married to a Korean (until he pulled a BillClinton) but I did manage a beautiful daughter out of the deal!!

I am not against Obama because of his race, his race was the ONLY POSITIVE THING ABOUT HIM, everything else that I have witnessed has been negative. The most negative of all is his use of racism to try to guilt people into voting for him.

I am German my mother’s grandparents came from Germany right before World War 1. English not sure when they arrived here, my Mother’s father.
My father his mother was from Ireland and his father was 100% Blackfoot Native American.
My husband’s family is Irish, English and German, his father met his mother in Germany during World War 2 and were married after the war.
Oh and PS the Blackfoot migrated to Montana from the Great Lakes region which is how I came into existence. I guess I was meant to be here. I mean what are the chances that someone would be visiting from Ireland fall in love with a Native American and be married, then a generation later along came a Diana. It’s destiny. You can use hot coffee to get it off. I let my grandchildren put stickers up on the walls, the windows during holidays. The snow from Christmas. They spray it everywhere. All of it comes right off with hot coffee. I learned that when I was 16 and used to work in a restaurant, that’s how we used to clean the stickers off things. That’s also how I get all the bumper stickers off our cars because it doesn’t damage the paint or anything. I make a pot of coffee then boil it. Take a cup and pour it on there let it soak for a bit and start pulling it up. Usually takes me a couple to a few cups for bumper stickers. Depending on how old they are. The older ones break apart so they take longer.

I know for a fact that the color of a person’s skin has nothing to do with their character and judgment. I agree that the accusation of racism has been overplayed, and what is truly devastating about that is by throwing the term “racist” around like candy at a parade, it undermines the seriousness of real, actual race-based hate. This does nothing good for race relations or eliminating racism. We are being set back, socially, as a nation by the widespread misuse of the race card as a political tool.

Exorcism is the practice of casting out demons or evil spirits from someone who is “possessed”. This ritual can involve prayer. As to what the “issue” is, from where I sit it’s that Jindal is a religious nut. But that’s just me. I could be wrong.

The majority of American families as of today are inter-racial. And, if American people were so racists, Obama would not be able to be the presumptive nominee.
Obama says he is a citizen of the world. I’d like to vote for someone who is a citizen of the United States only. America is holding elections for their President, I’m sure other countries aren’t looking at our President as their President.
IMO, Obama does not feel in his heart that America is his homeland. America is a stopping point for him and a way to further his future ambitions, whatever they may be. He will not be loyal or honor the United States of America.
I am hoping that HRC shows the leadership qualities that she has displayed during the primaries and that she DOES NOT release her delegates to Obama.
HRC has a responsibility to her 18 Million voters and supporters. We did not vote for Obama. HRC has earned her delegates and her supporters played a big part in her campaign. She was trashed by the DNC and so were we.

I’d say to HRC that if the situation were reversed, Obama would hold on to his delegates and would make sure that he gave you the finger once again. He doesn’t care about party unity and neither does the DNC.
