UPDATE FROM LARRY JOHNSON: Without so much as a phone call or email, Darragh decided not to show up tonight for her time slot. Fine by me. A completely classless move. When someone like Darragh becomes more enamored of her 15 seconds of fame rather than ensuring Hillary’s case is made in a credible fashion, it is time to move on. We bid her farewell. She is welcome to do her own thing on her on dime with her own time. At NoQuarterUSA we will move forward with our talented and expanding group of radio talent:

UPDATE TWO: Darragh offered an apology of sorts below and some commenters claim this is just me and my male ego out of control. This is not about male ego. This is about Darragh lying. The producer contacted her at 9:10. At this point there had been dead air for 10 minutes. She screamed in surprise when we reminded her of her show, and then *click* the phone went dead. We spent the next hour trying to reach heer, asking her to call in, reading the host number and PIN over the phone to her voicemail, and all the while hosting the chat room and giving people updates. And nothing from Murphy — she never picked up during the dozen times we called her, never called us back, nothing. And then at 10:15pm suddenly there she is on her own blog, saying “sorry, guys.”
So, if you think this is just a simple matter of being disoriented in a different time zone then think again. Darragh is classless and immature. She can go behave like this somewhere else. I want folks capable of acting like responsible adults.
UPDATE: The show is cancelled. Darragh ran into some problems in Denver and the show is late starting. We’re waiting for her to call in (9:30pm ET). Nothing new here. Michelle’s job was to hand out info about clinics and such to get the dregs out of U of C’s ER, clogging the system. Basically, she was to “handle” the community for her 300K salary.
This has been reported before, but maybe now some in the MSM will scrutinize it.
By the way, BHO’s friend Dr. Eric Whitaker, was a complete flop aas the chief of the IDPH.
I wonder when people will realize that health care is just another racket to these people. It’s like getting funding for an Iraq war every year. More pillaging and plundering opportunities than defense.

I think there was some kind of time zone mistake? I’ve been trying to reach a few different people in Denver and having trouble, maybe there is technical interference somehow.
Wow. The PUMApackers really wandered off the reservation today. First, they had to scrub an astoundingly racist post from their comment thread (Thanks, MorningSong!), then Darragh flipped the bird to NQ by blowing off the radio show.
Fortunately, only 130 listeners were waiting to bear the blogcast…for 90 minutes.
I guess they’re just caught up in all the excitement, and their preening sense of self-importance. They’ve decided they’re the only PUMAs who count.
I am glad to know that all of you here are so perfect, that you could never make a mistake. The fact that you have removed Murphy from your show, tells me what I have always suspected to be true.
Most of what I have read on here has proven to be false, or partially false and ends up getting taken down.
Your contributors seem to be dropping like flies, these days.
PumaPac will continue, with or without your support. But, to see how easily you turn on someone who works 24/7 to make sure our word gets out, shows me that you have an agenda different from ours.

Of course, I’m just an outside observer, but from my limited view, I think that is an unfair charge you make against Darragh. Did you try to clear up the matter with her? There’s the chaos of setting up stuff in Denver, and the change in time zones, at the very least, to consider. I find it rather premature to smack her down and just ban her without hearing her side of it. I hope that this fracturing of the PUMAs is not a sign of egos clashing now…..
Darragh refused to return repeated phone calls and emails. This is not a one time event. There is no side to hear. She agreed to appear at a particular time. In fact, the producer of the show did manage to reach her. She promised to dial in and did not. And then she refused to answer her phone.
If you think that is acceptable behavior then you can host and pay for her radio show. I won’t do it and there is nothing more I want to do with her. She’s an immature, prima dona. I don’t have time for drama queens. Clear?
You had to pay for that time slot Larry? I wish someone would have done something. I stayed, but ended up just going ahead with what I was going to do after the show and set up my new router and the wireless cards for the laptops and PCs. I had a hard time getting registered on that site. Everything I chose for a display name was taken. But, I figured if I’m going to go and listen to the shows I should just go ahead and register/join in on the conversation.
I’m really sorry that happened and understand your anger, maybe if you sat down and did a one on one with her…? She may be finding it hard to be thrust into the limelight. What about adding an extra link for donations to help fund the shows? So you don’t get stuck with that extra cost all on your own.
We are a massive grass-roots movement run by people who volunteer their time. This is an extremely stressful day of organizing things in Denver. Please, let’s give each other a break here. We need each other; we are exhausted volunteers. Take the time to talk over with Murphy what happened and go from there.

But, I think there might have been extenuating circumstances. I only caught bits and pieces of what is going on in Denver and it sounds like a TON is going on. Mind-boggling, really. I don’t know that I would personally be able to keep on top of all of it either.
I am hoping Murphy will give an explanation, and then let you guys know how much we appreciate the show, and we do not take it for granted, we really don’t, and we are sorry.

I usually lurk, but I think your post here is over the top. Sure, Murphy didn’t do what she was obligated to do, though there may have been extenuating circumstances. Likewise, you didn’t get what you rightly expected, but you shouldn’t have done this, either. I think Murphy was unprofessional, but NQ needlessly compounded the problem with this post. You don’t use a sledgehammer to swat a fly, and you don’t air the dirty linen in public. *That’s* classless.
I don’t know the technology involved, but why wasn’t there a plan B in place at the outset if you’re going to get your knickers in such a knot over dead air?

I think this was a bit of overreaction. I’ve read on Riverdaughter’s site Darragh forgot about the time change and got caught up in some other things getting the Denver space up and going.
Everyone should take some time, chill and relax.
PUMA is in a bit of a muddle, given they lied about the amount raised for Hill.
They aren’t coming through.
This was a huge undertaking. I expressed my frustration a few weeks ago.
I am looking for real leadership.
Maybe it will emerge.
I love Murphy’s shows, and I can understand the ET and MT time differences.
This is a storm in a teacup.

I was lurking, waiting for the PUMA show. I read where someone had personally talked to her and that she had been called numerous times.
Totally unprofessional and a great let down for those of us who have made the calls, sent the emails, and passed on their links.

I want to personally apologize to everyone at No Quarter, especially Violet and Susanunpc, for missing my show last night. I was confused about the time change and very caught up in the process of setting up our headquarters in Denver. Nonetheless, that doesn’t excuse anything, and I let them down in a very big way. I am also very sorry to the listeners who tuned in and waited and waited for me — I feel really bad because I imagine lots of people were wanting to hear the details about what’s going on out here in Denver. I feel really terrible about that.
Doing the Murphy and Friends Show on NQR was a real pleasure. I enjoyed every minute of it. Our guests were fabulous; our callers were fun and funny and passionate. LadyboomerNYC and VetforHill deserve pretty much all the credit for getting the show off the ground and making it work. After that Violet Sox and Susan took over production and I thank them sincerely for all their efforts.
I thank NQR for giving me, and Puma PAC, the opportunity to do a live show on their station. It was another line of communication in the Puma Movement and, I think, was becoming a wonderful and strong part of the chorus. I’m sorry it ended this way, but that doesnt diminish the appreciation and respect I have for everyone at NQR.

On a side note, I am just a reader of many of these blogs and I seem to observe a step-child type attitude toward NQ from some other blogs which does not serve the larger purpose.

No matter who is in the wrong, and who is in the right, these things should be settled and dealt with behind the scenes. Doing this publicly is classless and unprofessional. You could have cut her off, and not have aired this for all to see. All it’s done now is undermine you, Darragh, and all you are striving for. Why shoot yourself in the foot just to prove a point. Stupid, stupid, unnecessary, and above all childish! Now all who are working against your message will have fodder to feed on. Stupid!

You know what? there’s a big difference between hiding or covering up, and choosing not to take something public, and it’s not just semantics. For example, I don’t need to know the color of your shit today, but I wouldn’t accuse you of covering up that information. There is also such a thing as too much honesty, as in “it’s just not necessary”. What you call truth and honesty can translate into pure pettiness, so thanks for the invite to go elsewhere.

I am here in Denver, and I’ve been privy to all the work Darragh has done to make this happen. She has been doing the work of a dozen people, setting this up, making it happen here on the ground in Denver. If I had her responsibilities, I’d have collapsed by noon two weeks ago.
When it comes right down to it, having seen the superhuman effort she is making here, the person I’m going to side with in this petty manufactured dispute is Darragh. She’s been opening an office, coordinating a film screening and media event and rally, giving interviews, arranging for transportation and housing and resources for a hundred people, and generally taking responsibility for ten thousand details.
I tell you what, Larry, when you have done what she has done, then you can criticize. You’re not here on the ground in Denver organizing and energizing and directing a hundred people, you’re sitting on your ass blogging. So she missed a deadline. So she missed some phone calls. She’s still done a million times more than you have, and her credibility is perfectly intact.

Your ego has definitely taken over. For god’s sake cut Darragh some slack. She’s been burning the candle at both ends and has been for months. Alienating her is not a good move as she has a lot of supporters who don’t take kindly to this type of thuggery.

Larry, I admire both you and Darragh. What I think happened is that Darragh short-circuited. It’s happened to all of us: Circumstances pile up until we can’t deal with the last one. I’m sure it’s happened to you, too. And rather than admit she blew a gasket, Darragh presented an apology with an excuse that makes her look better than the real reason for the oversight. Again, we’ve all done this (except for you perfect ones out there). Unless there are a ton of other terrible things that Darragh’s done, I think you should consider saying that mistakes were made on both sides, and letting bygones be bygones. That is what mature people do, if the situation warrants it.
